Review Overview

PanOxyl Bar 10%, Maximum Strength Acne Wash is nearly identical to the PanOxyl Bar 5%, except that this version contains 10% benzoyl peroxide.

Claims
Ingredients

Active: Benzoyl Peroxide (10%), Other: Cetostearyl Alcohol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Corn Starch, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Mineral Oil, Peg-14m, Silicon Dioxide, Sodium Potassium Lauryl Sulfate, Titanium Dioxide, Water

Brand Overview

PanOxyl At-A-Glance

Strengths: Inexpensive.

Weaknesses: Some cleansers are in bar form; no BHA options for those struggling with acne.

This small line of anti-acne products is sold in many drugstores, sometimes positioned near the pharmacy. Knowing that this line comes from a pharmaceutical company (Stiefel) that specializes in dermatology, the incomplete nature of what they offer consumers is very disappointing.

Helps control body acne

This helps control my body acne, which prescription products didn't help with. The package says you need to let it sit on your skin for something like 2-5 minutes(!) which I actually do. Then I use another body wash over it to wash the benzyl peroxide residue off so I don't get bleach stains on my clothes or towels.
