Skin Balancing Pore-Reducing Toner is based around the cell-communicating ingredients niacinamide and adenosine triphosphate, both of which improve skin and restore balance while also improving hydration. This toner helps eliminate mild dryness and flaking skin while leaving it feeling smooth. One of our best-selling products, and a personal favorite of Paula's.

Restore skin's healthy balance with this lightly hydrating, weightless solution. Potent antioxidants, cell-communicating ingredients and anti-inflammatory agents help reduce redness and inflammation.

Disclosure: In addition to reviewing thousands of cosmetic products from hundreds of brands over the past 30 years, Paula also has her own line of products called Paula's Choice. Paula and her team's goal is to help you find the best products possible for your skin whether they are from Paula's Choice or some other product line. Paula's commitment to this is so strong she is the only cosmetics company owner in the world that recommends products other than her own. Paula and the Paula's Choice Research Team formulate our products to meet or exceed the criteria we use to review products from every other brand on this site. We review all products the same way using the same research, objective comments, and praise no matter whose product it is.

Paula's Choice was created in 1995 in response to the many readers who asked Paula to develop her own products. Given Paula's unique overview of the cosmetics industry, 30+ years of research, and earnest desire to help people find the best products for their skin-care needs, creating her own products was a natural extension of her work. Paula's Choice range of products are designed to meet the needs and preferences of just about every skin type and concern imaginable using only proven ingredients substantiated by published research.

Paula's Choice products provide:

  • State-of-the-art formulas based on reliable, published skin-care research
  • Proven effective solutions for wrinkles, acne, rosacea, and sensitive skin
  • Gentle yet effective products for those seeking a natural skin-care routine

Paula's Choice products and Paula's work is routinely praised by noted dermatologists and other professionals. New York-based dermatologist Dr. Debra Jaliman stated that "I have a lot of respect for Paula Begoun and the way she thoroughly researches her subject. Her recommendations about cosmetics and skin care are deservedly influential." Will try something else next time
    • This was moisturizing to the skin and not at all irritating, but I also saw no other benefit to it either. My oily skin felt like there was a film left on my skin. Maybe it was too much moisture for my skin? This was not balancing to my skin and did not help with the oil nor did I see an improvement in my pores either. I think this is a nice lightweight toner.hydrator for dry or normal skin. I think it would be awesome in a spray bottle in the summer, maybe put it in the fridge.

    Toner isn't just toner
    • I use this twice a day, and more on my no makeup days. Didn't think a toner would make a difference but Balancing Pore-Reducing Toner immediately calms my oily large pored skin. Other products seems to absorb better and my skin feels so silky and not oily.

Great for oily skin and enlarged pores!
    • This is a great post-cleansing toner for my skin type, oily and enlarged pores. I use it twice daily after cleansing and have seen great results! My estitician and I have visably noticed my pore-size reducing and my blackheads becoming less prominent! And it it not AT ALL irritating like astringents I have used in the past.

    Not good for sensitive skin
    • I have looked for a well formulated toner for years perhaps decades. I have always been drawn to PC products because of Paula's knowledge of skin care. The use of sorbic acid ( preservative), niacinamide and silicones ( or one or in some combination) in several of them is a NO NO for my sensitive skin. Big problem with immediate redness. Sensitive skin gals stay away from her toners. I will be trying the only two toners in her liner that do not have the above mentioned ingredients.
