Additional Information

Why is it different?

CALM Redness Relief SPF 30 Mineral Moisturizer Normal to Dry Skin combines the gentlest mineral-based sunscreen ingredients in a creamy advanced formula. You will have beautiful hydrated skin with the improved appearance of fine lines, dullness, and uneven skin tone. Sensitive skin will be comforted and cushioned with soothing emollients and a skin-enriching texture.

Collapse
What does it do?
A redness-minimizing mix of soothing plant extracts, antioxidants, and peptides work to calm sensitive skin so it looks visibly younger and feels healthier. With daily use, skin will become less prone to temporary redness and visible signs of sensitivity, and, most important, may help to lower the risk of premature skin aging. The SPF 30 decreases the risk of skin cancer and early skin aging caused by the sun if used as directed with other sun protection measures. Gentle enough even for skin prone to rosacea.

How to use

Use as the last step in your AM skincare routine. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. If you don’t apply liberally, you will need to reapply every two hours after your skin is exposed to direct sunlight. If you plan to swim or perspire you must apply a water-resistant sunscreen.

I really don't enjoy the texture of this, it always leaves me looking really shiny and a little sticky. If you're looking for a sunscreen for sensitive skin, I would recommend the Hydralight over this one.

As one of the few SPF's (mineral based) that isn't chalky and doesn't cling to dry areas (making them appear to be worse) this deserves serious consideration. Unfortunately this contains a fairly high amount of Vitamin C, which for me is a redness trigger when used on a daily basis. So, while my dry skin could use this for its moisture, I have to use the Calm SPF in the oily skin line (underneath a ton of moisturizer). I wish I could use Vitamin C, Niacinamide and Retinol but I can't---which makes it hard to find PC products for dry skin. For those with similar sensitivities I have found that using the Calm Dry Skin Toner and the Earth Sourced Toner followed by the Earth Sourced Moisturizer to be a good start for my dry skin. I still have to follow with another brand's moisturizer on my super dry cheeks and neck but those PC products really calm my skin. This product is quite shiny if that is a deal breaker.

I like this product very much. I am 60 years old and not very wrinkled, just fine lines is all. It practically makes my fine lines disappear! The only con is that it is a bit heavy, but it sinks in after a while and the minerals get to work in soothing my skin and smoothing out the fine lines. I like that it has sun screen in it. I have mild rosacea and this product helps soothe away the redness. I think the secret to this great product is the minerals that are in it. Very healthy for my skin which normal to slightly dry.

I think I have concluded that zinc dries my skin out, so this didn't work very well for me. But if your skin likes zinc, I think it's a great moisturizer as it sinks in the doesn't leave a white cast.

I attempted to use this instead of the one for oily skin, since that one was way too drying. This one had the opposite effect-- It was greasy, sat poorly under makeup, and it eventually broke me out like mad.

I am allergic to so many products out there even if they said for "sensitive skins", I had such a hard time finding a sunscreen I could use. This is the only one I ever found that I can use everyday and don't have reactions to.

Best mineral sunscreen that I have ever used. My skin is fair and cool-toned with redness in areas - when I remove the sunscreen and makeup at night, the redness is gone, and my skin appears smoother with smaller pores. This is finely milled, so it does not appear pasty or settle into lines after application. Makeup goes on over it smoothly. Best of all, it does not migrate to my eyes, and I no longer have irritation and tearing, so my eye makeup stays intact! Has a mild fresh cucumber scent. Will definitely repurchase, and also check out the moisturizer in this line.

Had high hopes for this, and sure enough, it doesn't irritate my skin at all. But unfortunately, it makes my eyes water constantly. Had to scrub it off just so I could see! If you have sensitive eyes, this product may be a problem. Thank goodness I found the Paula's Resist SPF Primer Serum because it doesn't irritate my skin OR my eyes.

As someone with dry sensitive skin it has been a real pain trying to find a moisturizer with SPF that works with my skin. I found this cream was super moisturizing, didn't irritate my skin and actually works wonders under makeup. I used to have to moisturize and use primer under makeup but I find this moisturizer makes a great base for my makeup!
