Not the same
The new formula is nice, but my color, Wheat, now oxidizes to an orangy-yellow. Sand is a little too light for me and mixing the two colors still looks a little orange/yellow on me. I'll miss wearing this foundation. It made my skin look dewy and the color was so natural looking. Oh well, off to find a new favorite foundation. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. Much Better Formula
The new formula is a major improvement. Goes on silky smooth. Neutral was a great shade for my skin and definitely did not turn orangey. I would totally recommend this product, especially love the natural spf it provides.

Best. Foundation. Ever.
I LOVE this stuff. Normally, I wouldn't THINK of buying foundation online but I figured what the heck and got a sample. So glad I did! This actually looks like I am not wearing foundation at all. I apply it lightly and it evens my complexion and makes my skin look, well, like perfect skin - smooth textured with a "real skin" finish - not shiny or matte - somewhere in between. The coverage is light. This is more of a skin perfector to me than actual foundation. You will still need concealer if you have spots or dark circles. But if you want nice, even-looking skin
give it a go. It does not seem to be moisturizing on my very dry skin but it does not accentuate flakes and feels soothing. I am soooo happy that this matches my coloring in the lightest shade. I could see the shade range being an issue for many, but I lucked out on this one!

Disappointed too
I've tried the sheer matte tint, wonderful coverage and finish but the fair shade was too dark and oxidized orangey. I decided I'd try the all bases covered since it's recommended for sensitive skin and the light cream color looked promising. Unfortunately the color and the fact it is physical spf were the only good parts. The foundation settled into fine lines I didn't even know I had and sunk in every pore. It wouldn't blend well which was odd considering it's only a light coverage foundation. I also had mild breakouts each time I used it-that's not the kind of young look anyone wants! You recently sent a survey, I should've answered better foundation choices as the product I'd like most to see! I love some of Paula's other products and customer service can't be beat, but I'm disappointed in the foundations. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. For those wondering, I have found the new 'Light Cream' to be the exact same colour as the old formulation, only a much better consistency! The old one separated in the tube. This one feels slightly thicker on application but smooths out nicely and has the same sheer to medium coverage. It appears lighter out of the tube but blends to the exact same colour. I am very pale and if it had gone any darker it wouldn't have worked. My skin also feels the same, not dry at all. Yay!

LOVE This LUXURY!!!
Hi Everyone, Hello from Canada! I just wanted to say that I have just tried the samples sent to me and fell instantly in love with the texture, colour, and lovely mild radiance this gives to my skin. This acts very much like my recently purchased high-end $55.00 foundation, and I much prefer this PC one. I have not tried the previous formulation of this, so it's disheartening to find other readers are disappointed with the change. I do have a little advice however, for those of you who wish this was a bit more hydrating... Just mix a little amount of this with a drop or two of any PC moisturizer and I am certain some might find this absolutely wonderful. I have tried many foundations in the last few years, and PC ones match my skin perfectly no matter which of the three types I have tried. I will buy the Nude for myself.

Don't like the new color
I have used All Bases Covered for a very long time and was very happy with it... until you changed the color and formulation. I was very annoyed that I had to wait 2 months without the foundation and resorted to using the Best Face Forward in the meantime which is too light for my complexion. The new formulation of Wheat in the All Bases Covered is too orange and looks horrible on my complexion. Now I have had to resort to mixing the two to try to get the color I had before the change, and now my complexion is too dry. Very disappointed. I ordered two tubes and now will have to send both back and give it one last try with a lighter shade. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. Colors have changed
So sad that Nude color is not the same as before! I put a dab of old and new in my palm to be sure; the 'new' Nude is much more orangey, gives my very fair skin the dreaded "suntan from the chin up" look. very upsetting
I had started to get upset when I read the reviews about how the new formula's shades were darker. Now that I have tried the new formula, I'm extremely upset. The light cream shade was light enough for my skin, which is why I bought it. Other foundations were way too dark and made me look orange. This foundation stays nicely, but gets into lines and creases like nobodies business, but it's easy to get rid of that and it was perfect. I'm very mad that I'll now have to search for another foundation that matches my skin and stays nicely. It's just another stressful thing added onto a long list. Can't Use This Now
My sister buys many of these products for me. I used the All Bases Covered in Sand and loved the product. Sand is too light now so I tried Wheat. I can no longer use this foundation in any color. The new fomulation is making my skin feel tight and dry. Show my lines. I see one ingrediant has changed. The cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1-dimethicone with Cetyl Dimethicone Copolyol. I dont't see any other ingredient changes, but I am not a chemist. The old formula went on smooth, the new feels rough. My skin does not have that glow it use to have and now it looks dry on my skin. Glad it's back!
I am so glad that this foundation is again available. I use 'sand', and as far as I can see the color is the same as before. The application is the same as the previous formula as well. Gives me good, natural-looking coverage.

Tried Wheat-Can No Longer Use This Foundation
I have used this foundation for 3 1/2 years. Tried the new formulation in Sand & it is too light now so I ordered Wheat. Can't use the Wheat either now. New formulation is drying my skin, feels tight & showing my lines. The old foundation was such a lovely product & my skin look radiant, flawless, melted my lines away. I looked fresh & rested. I use many of the skin care products & I love them. Now I will start the long search for a new foundation but I have tried so many before this one and nothing made my skin look as good as the previous formulation. Bring back old formula please. Confused
I am glad to see this is back in stock. I use the Sand & I will purchase that color. I am confused because I thought there were supposed to be more new colors at least that is what the wording sounded like to me. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. They are not that much different than the original shades but the actual formula applies even better and offers a more flawless finish. Like many of you, I am one of Paula's biggest fans! I found Paula 2 years ago when looking for a review on a product and I landed on Beautypedia. I started using the recommendations of other products not even considering PC since my first thought was "of course she wants to sell her stuff" and it was such plain packaging so it did not get my attention. Requesting more colors
Hi Paula, I agree with Fatima; I've read a multitude of fine reviews and would very much like to try this foundation, but I don't think these neutral colors would work with my mixed race golden undertones. All Bases Covered as a concealer!!
All Bases Covered in nude is the perfect concealer around my eyes. I'm a "woman of a certain age" and every concealer I've found ENHANCES bags and wrinkles. But All Bases Covered is lightweight enough and moist enough and blends perfectly with my other makeup, leaving a more natural finish around my eyes. Once again, thanks Paula!!!

Best Make-up Ever!!
I have never written a review before but I just had too for this foundation! It's the best I have ever used and I absolutely love it! It is light but still covers everything and it doesn't make me break out. The color is perfect too. Please don't ever discontinue!!

Awesome Foundation
I never liked wearing foundation because I found it made my skin look older. It always settled in my lines. I am a new user of Paula's Choice products and decided to try her makeup as well. This foundation is wonderful. It covers extremely well, yet is very light. Would recommend this product.

All make-up has given me problems with the exception of this foundation. This foundation is wonderful for sensitive and dry skin. It gives good coverage, does not cause break-outs, and does not leave any oily shine. My skin feels hydrated throughout the day, protected and looks great!

Nice!
Tried the All Bases Covered this morning - love the way my skin looks with this - smooth and even! Great product --- my only complaint was that I ordered six samples, and when I opened them, I discovered that 3 of the sample jars had leaked open and completely filled the little plastic bag they were each packed in - what a mess! Light, Refreshing & Non-irritating
Things I love about this foundation: It is lightweight, smooth, evens out my redness, feels cool on my skin and is absolutely non-irritating! The only thing I am disappointed about is the way too-low SPF 15. I would not wear it during spring/summer for that reason. Amp up the SPF to something like 35-40 (with same non-chemical sunscreen ingredients!) and I would fall madly in love with this foundation!

Will never switch! The best!
Foundations used to be the bain of my life. I tried so many! They were always expensive and would make my skin look rough, odd and usually seperate around my nose and even burn or get itchy. That is a problem of the past!! I have been using All Bases Covered in light cream for several years now and I still love it so much. Creamy, dewy, totally blendable and you really can layer it without looking old beyond your years or clownish! It leaves a very natural, flattering and polished finish. I often get complimented on my skin and recommend this foundation to anyone who will listen. Worn over sunscreen and under Healthy finish pressed powder it is unbeatable. I add mascara and some benetint (a Paulas tick favourite of mine) and I look healthy and feel comfortable to take on the day. So forgiving even on very bad mornings!. Thank you! Thank you!

This is what I would call beautiful makeup. I am very oily and prone to blemishes. This foundation however looks wonderful on my skin. And it stays put and becomes part of my skin. Not too dry, too liquidy, too thin like other foundation for acne-prone skin. It makes my skin look normal. And the color! I am a medium yellow skin-toned Italian and Fawn is just lovely - such a natural, flattering color.

Good, but...
All products I use are Paula's or Paula-recommended. I've used All Bases Covered for years and only recently read the reviews. Although it's one of the best foundations I've found so far, it always leaves me looking chalky, even the darkest shade and I am fair. I've mixed it with other foundation brands, but they don't mix well leaving my skin streaky. I like the finish, but we need more color choices, please. Great! But!
well the foundation itself is great and blends into the skin so well, but paula you seriously need some foundations that have undertones besides nuetral! I'm fair skinned with yellow undertones and the nuetral takes the natural undertone away and makes me look super pale! please I love the foundation, so make some new colors!

All Bases Covered Foundation
I just finished my sample this morning and wish I didn't have to wait for my shipment to arrive so I can use it again! I haven't used foundation in years, only powder to help cover all the age flaws (I'm 51), but after reading other reviews I decided to give it a try. It goes on smooth and even, doesn't cake up in the creases, helps conceal a number of my imperfections, and the shade "wheat" is perfect for my reddish/tan complexion.

Pink, and Not
I've used this product for several years now and recently, for the pink undertones of my skin, tried a pinkish shade (pink being Paula has warned against. Now I know why, and will never 'stray' again. (My natural pink undertones are only slightly diminished with 'non'pink foundation colors.) The evening out of the skin tone, plus this wonderful texture for my dry skin, I have found unbeatable. I often, btw, mix 2 of the shades together. Thanks again, Paula!

Me, but Soooo much better!
I have spent easily hundreds of dollars on foundations but have never-ever found a foundation that looked natural. I have very dry skin and makeup just doesn't always apply well. THIS foundation, in sand is ME. It doesn't cover up every little flaw but instead perfectly balances. PLEASE Paula, don't EVER discontinue.

Color Match! Amazing.
Not only is the formulation sheer and buildable, but the Light Cream is fantastic for my very fair skin w/ neutral undertones. I have such problems finding fountations and tinted moisturizers that are the correct color for my skin, and it's so refreshing to find one that will be a "no-brainer", that I can just grab out of my makeup kit and know it is going to look good and stay that way for hours. Whew!

Your light cream color in the All Bases Covered foundation is the best I've found for my very light, neutral colored skin. I can wear the Sand in summer, but the light cream is my stand-by. I would love a little more coverage and bit of a more dewy finish for my dry skin, but it can't be topped for color and sun protection. It even stays on in water! If I want more coverage I can just add another coat!

2nd Time's a Charm
I've been using Clinique Supermoisture foundation since the day it was introduced and NEVER thought I'd switch. Out of curiousity, I decided to try All Bases Covered and the texture is so different from Supermoisture that, at first, I just didn't like it. Then, on a whim, I decided to give it another shot...and I loved it the second time! It's not creamy like Supermoisture--it's more liquid-like--but after getting it on my entire face and becoming accustomed to the feel of it, I discovered that All Bases Covered allows the natural beauty of my Paula's Choice skin to come through without constantly feeling "made up." I realized that I actually prefer this feeling to the foundation-y feel of Supermoisture. I may go back to Clinique in the winter, but for Spring and Summer here in the humid South, I don't think anything could beat the look and feel of Paula's All Bases Covered foundation.

Horrible
This foundation is horrible. It sits in my pores, despite very careful blending, and looks like plaster. The stuff igot from Wet 'n Wild worked a lot better than this.

Shocked! I have used Paula's skincare for several years but I never thought I'd switch from Estee Lauder foundation. I tried a free sample of this, and am amazed. I have tried every foundation formulation, and Paula's blends even better and looks more flawless than my old favorite. I don't need to use as much either- the coverage is perfect, feels very light, looks natural.

Products not acceptable for Sensitive/Rosacea skin
I have rosacea and extremely sensitive skin. I ordered all the samples for the product listed under shop by concern 'Extra Sensitive' and 'Rosacea' and was really hoping they would work for me as I have such a hard time with skincare/makeup products. I have so far tried a serum, a cream and two foundations and reacted to every single one of them. My skin looks terrible now and is burning, I will give up on trying any more. It is really so unfortunate because for years I have been reading Paula's reviews as a guide for which products to stay a way from...I finally tried her own products only to discover everything she makes for my concerns are terribly irritating to my skin! I have much less faith in her knowledge of sensitive/rosacea skin and will not bother with her reviews anymore.

Wonderful NEUTRAL colors!
Another reviewer asked for pinkish tones--no, no, NO--please don't do it! I am so tired of buying foundations that look OK in the package, and turn out to be some odd pinkish peachy color on my face (and sometimes you can't tell till you've left the house--ick)! I have very fair skin (Light Cream and/or Nude) and am so happy you offer neutral colors for fair skin. I also have problems with redness (age 54), and offer a bit of advice: you DON'T want to "match" discoloration! You want to blend it in. Another tip: You can mix All Bases Covered with the Barely There tint if you want some coverage, but not as much.

All Bases Covered - Excellent
I am new to Paula's Choice. I ordered several samples of
makeup to try the colors. All Bases covered is an excellent foundation and compares very favorably to Clinique for about half the price. The Wheat shade is lovely. The Barely There Sheer Matte Tint colors were too sallow for my complexion. As soon as I use up my Clinique foundation, I will be switching to All Bases Covered.

By far the best
This is the first 5-rating that I've ever given a product. I'm extremely picky! By far, this foundation has the right amount of coverage and the right shade for me out of hundreds of other samples I've tried over the years. I get so many compliments on it! If it gets discontinued, this long-time customer of PC will be gone!

the perfect amount of coverage
I really love this foundation it's so great! Everything about it is all I want in a foundation. Coverage, shades, it's lightweight, and just great. The only thing is I can't figure out which color to get! I got samples of both the nude and the light cream and they are very similar just barely differ, and they both seem to match great..I might end up getting one of each!

nice foundation
I would love to give this 5 stars, but I really need a shade lighter than the Pale Cream. I realize you need to limit your shade range, but it is still slightly disappointing. I love this company and it would be ideal to be able to purchase my foundation here instead of the more expensive brand that I usually buy. I can use your foundation in the summertime because it makes me look slightly more tan (I am very pale and ALWAYS wear a high SPF product!) but in the cooler months, it isn't pale enough for me. Otherwise, I love the texture and coverage. Keep up the excellent work!!!

Back to Bases Covered Foundation
I have been using All Bases Covered foundation for a few years. I have oily skin and am prone to break outs. Your foundation colors for oily skin are too light for my skin tone so I tried out Clinique and Estee Lauder recommend foundations for my skin type. None of them came even close to giving me such a smooth finish and evening out my skin tone as yours. The others were too drying and I could not tolerate the feel on my skin. I love your foundations although I am not using the one recommended for my skin type it sill works better than any of the leading brands that I tried. The same goes for your moisturizers and sunscreens. I miss your lipsticks. Heather was my favorite and I still haven't found a substitute to sufficiently replace it. Very light but good coverage
I read a review where someone commented on how Paula's Choice products had so much silicone in them that her usual foundation just rolled off of her face. I had the same thing happen with a liquid foundation (but not my powdered foundation) so I decided to try the sample packets of Paula's Choice All Bases Covered Foundation. Wow! What a difference! It looks thick but goes on smoothly and is surprisingly very light, and very blendable. The coverage is amazing! I am 46 and used to sunbathe a lot so I've got age spots on my face and some very dark freckles. This foundation does a great job in covering up those flaws. My skin looks great and now has an even skin tone, plus it feels hydrated, not tight! I will continue to use Paula's Choice products because they do exactly what they claim.

Use to be a mineral powder girl but not any more!
I have always used mineral powder foundation because I never liked the feel or look of liquid foundation. My skin has felt drier lately because of these unusually cold temps we've been getting on the East coast. I had a sample of All Bases Covered that I got a while ago and decided to try it for a few days. I was so surprised how natural it looked! I didn't even apply it precisely - I just gently smoothed it on my skin like I do with my moisturizers. It blended so easily! I then used your Healthy Finished Pressed Powder over it and it stayed all day, it didn't settle into my pores or change color (oxidize) on my skin. And my skin stayed hydrated. This stuff is GREAT! But I agree with another reviewer that there needs to be another shade between Wheat and Fawn. Though, I'm thinking I may sample Fawn and try mixing it with Wheat to see if that might do the trick!

blends amzingly! only needs...
This is such a great products! blends into skin and makes it look great! and it doesn't have sparkles in it like alot of other foundations. BUT there needs to be a shade between the darkest and wheat! there is a big difference in color! one is too light and the other is way too dark! the foundation itself is great.

Wow! All Bases Covered
In the past I ordered samples of your various foundations, but never found one that looked right. Finally, I tried All Bases Covered in Wheat to replace a Lancome Buff2W Teint Idole that is my summer foundation AND WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Most foundations make me break out, collect in facial lines or disappear half way through the day. Having given it a month-long trial, I can honestly say I like it better than Lancome. It stays on better, looks like no makeup at all and is very economical. It has not caused any breakouts, and my skin is the best it has ever been. I am also using your Resist
Moisturizer, and somehow, together they have tamed my complexion, minimized my pores, and eliminated problems I have had forever.
Hope I can find a winter color that works for me as well.

Will not cover redness
First of all, I only purchased samples because I have a difficult time finding a foundation to hide my redness or ruddiness. I really wanted to like this foundation as I loved the feel of it but after being on for 5 minutes, my redness starting showing and I looked like I was not wearing any foundation at all. If you have any skin flaws such as scars or redness or ruddiness, this foundation will not cover it at all. If you have no skin flaws and/or no discolorations, you will most likely love it. I know I need laser treatments but my budget won't allow it and I'm also a little frightened of a laser. I also have lupus but am in remission but I still sometimes have the butterfly rash. good for sensitive skin
This provides slightly more coverage than a tinted moisturizer without the full, cakey coverage of foundation. Using the "barely there sheer matte tint" under this gives me a smoother finish, and helps with very dry areas of my skin. I have also had less breakouts since switching from CG Smoothers to this product.

Good but not enough coverage
It matches my fair, yellowish skin well (Nude in winter, sand in summer) and gives a nice, satin finish. You can't tell I'm wearing makeup but it evens out my complexion and minimizes blemishes.
BUT its coverage too lightto make a big difference- I have to use heavy concealer to cover my blemishes (and I'm only 17).
Bottom line, I'm only buying this product to save money, since I don't have to pay shipping because my mom gets her makeup here too. I recommend it to someone who has a clear complexion already.

I'm not THAT fair...
All I could see was that Paula's lightest shade, light cream, was WAY too dark for my skin. I'm blonde with quite fair skin, but I'm by no means the palest person in the world. I was disappointed that I wouldn't be able to use Paula's foundations. I guess its a good thing I tried samples. From what I did see of it, the coverage appeared even, and dried quickly. Lighter colors, please? pretty please?

I have very dry skin - and always had issues with foundations making my face very dry. I agree that this foundation is not so good at covering up spots. But it does a good job of keeping skin soft and keeping skin tone even. I use concealer after applying this, and it has worked fine for me. My skin tone is fair, considering I am Asian, and I use sand color.

GREAT for rosacea!
This foundation is great for rosacea. My tip: I match the color to my hand, not my face. My face is so ruddy & red, but I use the light cream color to match the rest of me. It looks beautiful and silky smooth, and doesn't irritate my face. Thanks, Paula!

Why no colors for fair skins?
I STILL do not understand why Paula's Choice line of foundations contains
no acceptable shades for those of us with fair skin. PLEASE join the rest of the cosmetics world and offer foundations that have a slight pink undertone to them!! Neutral foundations are NOT acceptable!

"This is an unsolicited tribute to Paula's foundations from a group of skeptics (myself excluded of course!). One rainy Saturday, we decided to do a blind test of all of our various foundations (it was really an excuse to get together and we had lots of laughs). Anyway, we included Best Face Forward and All Bases Covered along with foundations from Shisedo, Clinique, Estee Lauder, Mac, Cle de Peau, Christian Dior, Lancome and Revlon. In the normal to oily category, Best Face Forward won hands down. In dry to normal, it was a very close contest between Cle de Peau ($120!) and All Bases Covered ($14.95), with the slight edge going to Paula's!"

a friend of mine gave me a sample of this and im blown away at how well it made my skin look. im just getting back into foundation and it seems like i tried a zillion of them. this one is fantastic and doesnt make my skin look orange or pink, im using the light cream color which is a bit too light for me during the summer but will be a great match for winter!

I am 51. I have always used Revlon Age Defying Foundation for dry skin. Several years ago the formula was changed and my color discontinued. I have spent the last 5 years trying to find a replacement - I have used everything and wasted a lot of money. I read your book and ordered samples. OMG, I never thought I would be able to wear a matte foundation - I have been using Clinique Supermoist - my daughter tells me everyday my face looks too shiney - I your makeup today and she ask me why I looked so pretty - what had I done different. This makeup is matte but it makes your skin glow and look very natural. It does not settle in lines and looks amazing. Please don't discontinue this - I use the Wheat color. - I tried your other products and my sensative dry skin felt so calm and fresh.

The Best for Combination Skin!!!
I have oily spots but this is still better for me (with loose powder) than Best Face Forward. My acne is concealed and heals fast, dry areas feel soothed. Even strangers stop me to compliment my "complexion"!

High quality foundation
I really like this foundation. It is very silky and goes on so smoothly. Coverage is medium. I had previously used Mary Kay full coverage foundation, and a tube of that lasted a whole year for me. I've had this foundation for about a month now, and I love it, but I'm not sure it will last as long because I can't spread it as far due to the thinner consistency. Very good foundation though! The foundation/powder/concealer chart worked for me to select a shade. I really don't feel as though I'm wearing foundation when I have this on, and no one else can tell...except they all notice how wonderful my skin looks!

Love this Foundation
I have ridiculously fair skin, and your Light Cream shade is perfect for me. I was previously using Lancome, but yours is better and cheaper. I have unwrinkled fair skin, and I want to keep it that way, so the SPF is wonderful. The coverage is just right and the texture is perfect for my mildly dry skin. Light yet good coverage
I have sensitive skin and am very pale; but while my skin isn't oily, it isn't really dry either. I was a little worried this would be too "greasy" as I've had that problem with other "dry skin" foundations before. What a pleasant surprise! I don't know how you do it (since no one else seems to be able to!), but it's soft and creamy, yet not at ALL greasy; the finish is really neither matte nor dewy; it doesn't make me break out; and while the coverage is very natural, it blends my area of reddish discoloration very well!

I was having a horrible time finding a liquid foundation I could use regularly with my rosacea. I previously had been limited to mineral makeup which was not the best choice for my winter-dry skin. I received my All Bases Covered foundation and Soft Matte Blush today and couldn't wait to try them out. At first I thought the foundation's consistency was "too thick," was going to be mask-like, and provide too much coverage, but I was wrong. It blended so easily and makes my skin look like silk.
