Apply with our Eyeliner or Precision Liner Brush for best results. Using the tip or side of your brush, pick up a small amount of product and line the eyes from inner to outer corner in one sweep if possible. If necessary, wipe excess product off brush prior to application to prevent applying too much in one area. Always recap tightly after each use. Be sure to thoroughly rinse your brush after each use as the Constant Color Gel Eyeliner can dry on the brush, making it harder to use next time.

Your initial application of the Constant Color Gel Eyeliner should impart a smooth, even line of color. If it does not, you may need to add more product to your brush. If you need to add more eyeliner, do so immediately before your original application has set into place. Once the Constant Color Gel Eyeliner has dried, applying more may cause flaking, particularly along the lower lashes.

Lining all the way across the upper eyelid (from the inside corner to the outer edge) is classic but you can also begin and end the line where your eyelashes stop and start. Along the lower lash line, it is best to line only the outer two-thirds of the eye.

Create a softer line under the lower lashes by using less of the liner. For a subtle daytime look, leave some space on the inside corner of the eye where the lashes end. This prevents a too-severe look and won't visually "close up" the lower lash line. Always make sure that upper and lower eyeliner meet at the eye's outer corner. You can achieve the look of a lighter and darker shade of eyeliner with one shade of Constant Color Gel Eyeliner. Simply layer for a more intense effect on the upper lash line and apply a single, softer layer to the lower lash line.

The thickness and intensity of your eyeliner should ideally be determined by the size of your eyelid. Those with larger eyelids look best with thicker, softer lines while smaller eyelids look best with a thinner, more intense line. If your upper eyelid is not visible at all, do not bother lining it.

For reasons of hygiene and eye safety, do not apply Constant Color Gel Eyeliner to the rims of your eyes.

I am having difficulty applying your Constant Color Gel Eyeliner evenly. Any suggestions?
Applying a unique, water-resistant product like the Constant Color Gel Eyeliner does take some practice before it becomes second nature. We recommend following these steps to achieve a perfect application:

• Gently stroke the flat side of a Paula's Choice Eyeliner brush over the gel. It only takes a small amount to line the eye.
• If you get too much eyeliner on the brush, use a tissue to carefully wipe off any excess before applying as too much may cause flaking.
• For the upper lash line, begin at the inner corner of the eye, placing the brush against your lash line as close to the lashes as possible. Move the brush from the inner to outer corner in one fluid motion.
• If you miss a spot, go over the area immediately. Do not wait for the product to dry. Once the eyeliner has set into place, applying more may cause flaking.
• Do not layer the Constant Color Gel Eyeliner. Too many layers may cause flaking.
• Follow the same application technique for the lower lash line, but start with even less product on the brush (the lower lash line should appear thinner and softer than the upper lash line).
