Directions: Apply liberally prior to sun exposure. This sunscreen is not water-resistant and not meant to be used while swimming. Reapply immediately if you perspire heavily. For use on children under six months of age, consult a doctor.
How can I reapply sunscreen to my face without ruining my makeup?
When starting all over isn't convenient or feasible, it is wise to carry a pressed powder with sun protection, such as Paula's Choice Healthy Finish Pressed Powder SPF 15. The method of application is to first absorb any excess oil or perspiration with an oil-absorbing sheet or a plain tissue. Then take a powder puff or sponge and apply an even layer of the powder on your entire face, including the eye area. Use light, downward strokes and blend at the edges. Using a brush will give a sheer, less powdered look but any sun protection you net will be minimal.

THANK YOU! I have had problems with my skin for as long as I can remember. I am now 35 and have rosacea with acne. I was hoping for much more in this product. I still find it too greasy and would not order it again. If it was like the moisture gel,then it would be perfect. I was dissapointed. Keep trying Paula.

Shiny finish
Easily absorbed & feels very comfortable on skin - only disappointment is that it sets to a shiny finish that made even my dry skin look as if oily & shiny. It's a love & hate affair - love the avobenzone actives because it's not as clogging or occlusive like physical mineral sunscreen actives like titanium dioxide & zinc oxide but only disappointment is the shiny finish.

Surprisingly greasy
I'm really surprised & disappointed at how subpar this product is given how thorough and well-researched Paula is about her endorsements and products! It definitely does its job in terms of sun protection, but the aesthetic aspect is awful: terribly greasy-looking.

A True Winner!!
My skin is very prone to tightness and greasiness. I tried PC Mattifying SPF 15 but it was too tight. Also, the skin recovery SPF 15 was way too tight for my skin, much to my surprise. The essential SPF 15 however was perfect. Not to tight, comfortable and not too greasy. I lobe it and would not stop using it so please don't stop making it.

My Perfect Combo... Don't people Understand??
As a long-time devotee of your products and emails, I still don't understand... why don't people "GET IT" about skincare? Everyone is unique and there is NO WAY of knowing how a product is going to react with your skin until you try it for a week or so, and try it with a combination of products. This sunscreen has been the best thing that has ever happened to my skin, which is combination, but ends up being drier in the winter. I LOVE the glow it gives me, and it is not at all greasy. I think the people who have bad things to say about it should realize that maybe they are using the wrong product for their skin type, or using a combination of products that isn't working. I have used other products of yours that haven't worked for my skin, but I have it right now : Skin Balancing Cleanser, 2% BHA Gel at night, and this sunscreen every morning. If I don't use it, my skin looks terrible. If I use it, people marvel at how luminous I am. Thank you so much for what you do, and I encourage other people to find their perfect "combo" before they begin bashing individual products... (see sample sizes...)

Excellent
I absolutely love this SPF. I am on several acne medications and was given strict orders to wear an SPF. For me, this was the product that fits the bill. Non irritating, fragrance free and sufficient sun protection. Also, I don't find it to be greasy as others do. As a male, that was very important. This will not be the perfect choice for all...that is why Paula makes several different types of SPF. Take time and find one that works for you. SPF is too important.

I've been using this sunscreen for years & for the most part i've been happy with it. It doesn't make me break out, is gentle & is great under makeup. The only thing i can say is that it seems to make my skin(nose & forehead) a bit oily looking not long after applying. I think i will try the mattifying lotion.

I'm 20 and have been using this product for 2 years now - I just love it. Tho I wish there was another one with just a little bit more of protection. Haven't tried the other ones but I'm just a little bit scared that my skin will break out.

Buy samples first!
As a sunscreen on my oily skin this product is quite heavy and greasy, and quite frankly, a thumbs down. On my autumn/winter dry skin however, it is much better. I hate the packaging though - one squeeze and you get enough for three faces and half your body, not what I'm after when looking to protect my face, neck and chest.

Though I've tried many of Paula's products, I keep coming back to this one. The plus is that it really doesn't aggravate acne, and doesn't contain silica (like most of Paula's matte options, which can cause breakouts for some like me). The con, of course, is that it really does look greasy even if the texture isn't. But, I'll take an intense glow over acne any day!

Too Greasy for My Skin
I have combination skin and although this product appears to absorb nicely into the skin, it leaves a greasy and shiny appearance. Did not work well under my makeup.
