I have been using your Extra Care Moisturizing Sunscreen spf30+ for a year now.I cleanse with your balancing cleanser and apply Paula's 2%BHA gel, then the sunscreen and I am done-and I still get told all the time that my skin looks beautiful.

I should have read the ingredients more carefully
Contains titanium dioxide which makes me look white, and shiny, and isn't good for pore size. I'll save it for my body for this summer and not my face.

Too Shiny on Face; Good on Body
This Extra Care sunscreen is so shiny and greasy looking on my face! I have used other SPF30 moisturizing sunscreens that don't do this. However, I tried it on my arms and it absorbed well, so I'll keep it for use on my body.

Best Sunscreen On the Market -- Period
This sunscreen contains three essential components that most out there do not; a.) mineral ingredients (FINALLY, No irriation!) b.) antioxidants c.) Truth in advertising; no so-called "spf 60". I've tried them all and this is simply the best there is if you want safe, effective, flattering protection.

Sunscreen
I miss the old essentail moisturizing day cream that was SPF 15. I have dry skin and need SPF 30, but find this one to be very greasy and shiny, even with makeup over it.

contains questionable ingredients
The Environmental Working Group advises against Oxybenzone due to skin absorption problems. That's the second ingredient here. Also, too low of zinc oxide. Customer Care:Paula has written an extensive article refuting the EWGs stance on oxybenzone. The amount of zinc oxide is adequate because it is paired with other actives that provide some amount of UVA protection.

Sunscreen ingredients
I am salicylate sensitive. I bought Extra Care Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 30+ thinking it would be ok. You dont have any sunscreens listed on salicylate free site. Customer Care: We are sorry you were misinformed. None of Paulas Choice sunscreens are salicylate-free due to their containing one or more plant-based antioxidants or soothing agents.

I'd rather be shiny than burned
I've used this product on both my body and my face. While it is true that I experienced some "shininess" initially, my face did absorb it. I've also worn make up over it with no streaking/sliding/running. And at the end of the day, if I am a little bit shiny, at least I know that my skin is protected. To me, that is of much greater concern than a little shininess. Keep up the great work and the state of the art formulations!

Try This When Using on Your Face
The key to using this marvelous sunscreen on my face is as follows: apply liberally, let it absorb for 30 minutes, blot with tissue and then if you wish, dust lightly with powder. The result on my normal to slightly dry skin is beautiful. Plus, it feels so light: as if I have nothing on. (I'm saving a 5-star rating for an all mineral SPF 30 formula that looks and feels this good.)

Best Body Sunscreen Ever!
I use this daily on my body. After it is absorbed, my skin remains very slightly moist to the touch, and with a very slight sheen that looks young and healthy. It feels light. Not at all heavy or tacky. ADDED BONUS: It is highly transfer-resistant. It leaves less residue on my black yoga mat than any other sunscreen with minerals that I have ever used!

better than estee lauder
Shiney and greasy, surely you jest. This new mositurizer is perfect in every way and spf 30.WOW! My skin is a little on the dry side and this makes my face look great. 15 years ago,I bought Estee lauder face cream and at that time I was paying $50.00 a jar. Would love to have it in purse size
I wish PC have a purse-size version of this wonderful sunscreen, something like the size of Skin Recovery Moisturiser. Other than the convenience of reapplying anytime, especially after washing hands, it would be great to bring it onboard airplane. Its moisturising texture is especially comfortable for the dry inflight atmosphere. Moreover, I would love to have a sunscreen on hand to apply on my face during those night-to-morning flights. The higher alttitude means the sun rays are much more intense, the more we need to apply sunscreen. Please consider! Thanks!

Too Greasy
I love all the P.C. products I've tried, but this one disappoints. I have dry skin, but it is still too greasy and shiny. Paula, we need an SPF 30 that is moisturizing, but not so greasy! I too miss the Essential Moisturing 15!

This one's a miss!
Paula, love all your other products, but this one is way too greasy even for dry skin, and makes my eyes cry - had to wash it off 1/2 hour later. Can we have a less greasy, more matte, moisturizing, SPF30 sunscreen???

Not my taste
I love the majority of Paula's products, however I can't seem to find a sun product that meets my needs. This product I found to be overly shiny and greasy- I had hoped it would lessen a bit as the day went on and it absorbed, but it didn't. Dissapointing, but the rest of the product line more than makes up for this product in my opinion.

Good protection, but too shiny & greasy - miss the very 1st SPF 15 with 3.2 titanium dioxide (v.2 had 2.8); that one had the BEST texture.

Beautifully protected and nourished
Dear and wonderful Paula, I have used your Extra Care Moisturizing Sunscreen spf 30+ with Antioxidants for six months now, and I really love it. Please do not ever discontinue this product! It leaves my dry/combination skin velvety soft and deeply nourished; and after letting it soak in for about twenty minutes, my foundation goes on flawlessly. I may have to blot away a little shine first, but that's no problem. On the body it's- if possible- even better, providing long lasting moisture with no white cast whatsoever. Please make a purse-size too!

Too Heavy For Daily Wear
This one might be great for some skin, but for me it did feel pretty heavy and occlusive. I've been using Elta MD's UV Daily SPF 40 (which doesn't have a waxy, mask-like feeling at all). I was hoping to switch to Paula's (since she always has a great cocktail of anti-oxidants etc. in her products), but I guess I'll have to stick with the Elta MD for now. To be fair though, the Elta MD is not water-resistant like Paula's, which is probably why the former has a more breathable texture. However, I need a high spf for daily wear (I get blotchy melasma otherwise), so I need something more wearable. I'm personally willing to purchase two high spf products: a breathable one for daily wear, and a water-resistant one for exercise and beach.

Need this product!
Thank you, Paula, for making this wonderful SPF30 sunscreen for the body with NO avobenzone, a chemical which discolors our clothes when I wash them in well water (a key piece of information which I thankfully learned from you). It's increasingly difficult these days to find a non-chemical UVA/UVB sunscreen in the stores. Please don't stop making this product! My four kids and I thank you for saving our skin AND our clothes. :-)

stays too moist and greasy-feeling
I think the ingredients in this sunscreen provide excellent protection. I bought it because it doesn't contain avobenzone, which I won't buy because it stains all my clothes. Unfortunately, this product stays very greasy-feeling on your skin and makes you feel that you don't want to put your clothes on top of it. I wish Paula would design a spray sunscreen or even a lotion that would provide the same, or higher level of protection, is avobenzone-free and would dry up on the skin after application. Very Happy with this product
I will definetly give it a 5 star, This product works, as a sunscreen and as a moisturizer. It does burn my eyes so I have to be careful around the eye area, but its worth using. If you look for a great sunscreen this really works, plus moisturizes your skin. I can deal with the shiny look that it leaves considering that does what is suppose to do in protecting my skin.

Why so expensive when sunscreen is so necessary?
I do not understand, especially since you are a strong proponent of wearing sunscreen daily, why these sun care products are so expensive. Come on, $15.95 for 5 oz. of sunscreen, not even including shipping? I am diligent about putting sunscreen everywhere my skin will be exposed to the sun. I still have the perfectly white, wrinkle-free skin I had as a baby due to my sunscreen usage. But 5 oz. of product, used everywhere a normal person's skin is exposed to the sun, would maybe last a week. Yuck!
Like a previous reviewer stated, I really miss the old SPF 15 day lotion! This one is really greasy, and seems to just sit on top of my skin, not soaking in. I've also noticed that if I use the AHA gel (which I have used for YEARS), then this lotion, and rub my face, there are little white specks all over my hand, like lint or dead skin! This does not happen with Paula's other lotions. I've stopped using it on my face, and now use it as a sunscreen for my body.

sometimes burns
It provides nice sun protection...I noticed that ones I put it on...after maybe half an hour face tone kind of evens out, redness disappears which is very nice to see. Sometimes though it does burn especially around eyes and cheekbones but for some reason it doesn't happen every single time. I stopped applying it to my eyelids cause it burns real bad there...I don't know if we're supposed to put anything at all on our lids :) But overall like this sunscreen.

Amazing Product
I'm not sure why people think this product is not worth using. Yes, at first I hated it as well. It didn't absorb like her other moisturizers. After using for a while I noticed how amazing it made my skin look. The glow it provided was better than any of her other lotions; as well as the SPF protection.
