I like this bronzer because it has a brown tone instead of the orange you normally get in other bronzers. This makes you look naturally tan, not orange.

This bronzer is the best! I have fair skin and am a brunette. I use this year-round over my " All Bases Covered" foundation as a powder. I finish with a dusting of blush, and I look like I have color in my pale face without looking "fake tan" It is an amazing product. Thanks Paula!

I would just like to say how much I love your All Bases Covered Foundation, No Slip Concealer and Healthy Finish Pressed Powder. I love the Best Face Forward Foundation. It took me a few tries to figure out how to apply it, but it is so nice. And the Pressed Powder with SPF. Great makeup at good prices! Healthy Finish Pressed Powder

Terrific Powder

Great powder with SPF
I love this powder because of the SPF and the silky texture. I have very fair, slightly dry skin. This powder protects my face during the day without drying out my skin or clogging my pores. The Buff Beige color is light enough for even my very pale face.

I just LOVE this powder foundation! As liquid foundations are not for me and my acne prone skin, this powder foundation is just perfect. I have tried many other powder foundations, and they either made me breakout or had a chalky unnatural look. Close, but not quite
I love the texture and SPF 15, but Buff Beige is not light enough to be plausible on my very fair skin. For those who find a good shade, I think this is a wonderful product, both to polish your face and touch up sunscreen!

Mattifies So Naturally!
Use this in "Buff Beige", which works great for my golden fair skin. I do think there should be a shade fairer though, there are plenty of women even fairer than I am. This mattifies oil, yet has the natural luminosity of skin, so there's no trace of powder. It never cakes up, goes blotchy, or turns orange. Also, since I can't use chemical sunscreens, I have to get physical/mineral s/s from my makeup, so the added SPF in this powder helps me keep my fair skin even more protected! Love it!

What about women with super Fair skin?
I tried a sample of the lightest color and it's still 2 times too dark! Please Paula make lighter powder & foundation for us extremely fair skined women! Excellent texture and sun protection deserves a 5-star rating, but there are no suitable color options for truly fair skin so I'm giving it a 3-star rating. Add more colors!

Another Great SPF Product!
Graet, AND it has SPF to boot! Apply this over Foundation and Paula's concealer, to 'set' these for the whole day! At 53, with sensitive/ combination skin; This powder has never caused breakouts, or mottling, a problem with most powders. I wish I could leave a powder applicator in the case, and yet I know I will do better with a portable brush or one of Paula's paper blotters! Great item, it lasts, like all Paula's items, for a very long time!

By far the best I have ever used!
I have been using this powder since it first came out and it is by far the best I have ever used. I use a primer w/ SPF, concealer as needed, and this powder and I the result is very polished and natural. The buff beige works well for me, but I do agree that a lighter shade might be even better. :)

Great Powder
Love this powder. It's really light on my skin and doesn't get cakey like some others do. Also, I love the fact that it has an SPF. The reason for 4 stars is that it doesn't come with a puff to apply the product. Luckily, I had one. I suppose you could use a brush too. Paula makes great skin care products!

Healthy Finish reservations
I tried this but:too dark,didn't like the finish, am allergic to titanium dioxide, so also had rash. Please reinstate Paula's Choice Sheer Perfection Pressed Powder in Sheer 1. Works great, no rash!

Wonderful textured powder
I love Paula's Choice pressed powder. She discontinued my favorite color, Sheer 1, and Buff Beige was recommended by a customer service rep as a replacement color. It's a tad too dark, and I must agree with the other reviewers who said the same thing...please make a lighter shade of this fabulous pressed powder! Paula, listen to your customers and add one shade lighter for us fair-skinned women. I love the fact that this has SPF along with the silky smooth application. I would give it 5 stars if it came in a lighter shade.

Best Bronzer!
I've never used a bronzer during the winter b/c I feared it would look fake - too dark & shiny. This is perfect! Bronzer is now a new step in my makeup application. Thank you Paula for a great product!

number one product for rosacea!
I cannot tell you how much I love this product!! I have rosacea and all other makeup irritates my skin. I use this as my base, it does not irritate my skin at all. I stays matte all day. Also a nice surprise, I can finally wear eye shadow without it creasing! I have tried all eye shadow primers out there and they do not work for me. Once I apply this powder to my eye lids I can finally wear eye shadow and it lasts all day! Thank you!!!!

The Best
I've been using this powder forever and I love it. My favorite thing about it (besides the sunscreen) is it's versatility. A light dusting over foundation controls shine and helps makeup last, but it also works surprisingly well as a light coverage powder foundation, especially if applied with a buffer brush. AWESOME stuff!

Healthy Tan shade is perfect
This bronzer is the perfect shade, wonderfully flattering and golden. Even better is there's no shimmer -- you just look radiant and healthy. I only wish they made a mini-compact so I could carry it with me everywhere.

Too yellow and dark
I loved the SHEER 1!!! SHEER 2 as well! Please reinstate!!!! I have the neutral, and it's too yellow and too dark. I believe I've tried the lighter shade as well, but it's still not right. Come on! Get more shades!!!

Beautiful Bronzer
I use this "Healthy Tan" as my bronzer and it is the best. I have tried every bronzer on the market and this is my favorite by far. Looks super natural on my skin and I love the price. I will reccomend this to all of my friends.

Not Worthy
FYI the pressed powder doesn't come with an applicator, which strikes me as odd. The product it self is ok nothing spectacular. Wonderful

I wear this in Neutral - the color is great, and I love that you are touching up with SPF. My only wish is that it comes with some type of puff or brush because it's a hassle carrying a brush in my purse.

Powder
This makes a great finishing powder, it just doesn't have enough coverage to make it as a powder foundation. Unfortunately, I can only use it in the summer when I am trying to make my untanned a little darker. Even the lightest shade is too dark for my very fair skin during the colder months. Nice Powder, No Puff
The powder is very nice. Only complaint is no way to get a puff into compact so I have to carry a brush around. I wash my puffs each day hence, bacteria growth isn't an issue for me. I wish this compact was big enough to accomodate a puff. Customer Care Response: We appreciate your comments and will share them with Paula and her Product Development team. In the meantime please consider our Retractable Powder Brush for application. This can fit into any purse, and is wonderful as your stand alone powder brush.

I LIKE it does NOT come with a puff nor a brush - I normally do not satisfy with the kind of low quality brush... The coverage of this foundation is sheer to light - which is fine. It cannot conceal your large pores nor wrinkle but this is not my concern... I layer it on my face generously but it still looks very natural - well, it is light coverage. it has tiny sparkling particles which gives glow to the complexion, wonderful! Although it comes only in 4 shades, I find the right one. By the way, I used online chat for shade recommendation, but "the expert" recommended the wrong shade... anyway, i got the perfect shade now. it is suitable for sightly dry or slightly oily skin. Oily or very oily skin will need to touch up.

bismuth oxychloride alert
I really like this powder but advise anyone allergic to bismuth oxychloride to pass. The ingredient list says "may contain" bismuth oxychloride so I took a chance but the powder I received definitely contains it. Too bad as I really like the powder. During the day, if you need to touch up your makeup or sunscreen, it is helpful to use Oil Blotting Papers (or, in a pinch, a tissue) to dab away excess oil from the skin before using Healthy Finish Pressed Powder again. With this method, you use less powder and can maintain a natural but finished look, while modestly "refreshing" your sunscreen.

Some makeup artists use a powder puff (particularly those who do TV makeup) to "press" the powder into the skin to create a very flat, matte finish. This method can be used for extra sun protection if reapplying moisturizer or foundation with sunscreen is inconvenient.

Powder is a great "fix-it" tool to have at the ready for softening blush that is too strong or bright, blending the edges of eyeshadow or a too-dark crease color and softening an overzealous application of contour or bronzer.

Does Healthy Finish Pressed Powder SPF 15 work as my sole source of sun protection?
Not really, at least not unless you're willing to apply it in a thick layer. Since most people don't use powder in that manner (and for good reason!) Paula recommends that any pressed powder with sunscreen be used to enhance the sun protection you get from your daytime moisturizer or foundation with sunscreen. Healthy Finish Pressed Powder SPF 15 is great to brush on during the day to reduce shine and touch-up your sun protection!

Which type of foundation does Healthy Finish Pressed Powder SPF 15 work best with?

Although Healthy Finish Pressed Powder SPF 15 may be used with any foundation, it works best applied over liquid or cream foundations that have a smooth, non-powdery finish. If your foundation has a powdery finish, you may not need to apply a powder over it until later in the day, when it's time to touch-up your makeup.
