Not your run of the mill lip balm
This is the absolute best balm I've ever used... I guess I'm kind of addicted to lip balms. I keep buying others, but wind up always going to this one in the end. Works to hydrate & heal my lips. I have used it on my face, body, feet & hands. It out performs all other lip balms (for me anyway) & can be used for dryness anywhere on the body. Great stuff.

Absolutely the Best Lip Treatment EVER!!!
I've tried many different lip balms over the years, but none has worked as well as this! It makes your lips feel so moist and improves the look and feel of your lips. Best of all, it lasts a long time, so you use less product. It also works great under lipstick.

The best lip balm!
I have very dry lips, and I'm very picky about the texture of my lip balms. I don't like lip balms that feel very hard and waxy but I also don't like thinner, oilier balms that seem to disappear after a couple of minutes. The Lip and Body Treatment Balm has the perfect texture for me - it feels very emollient and leaves a long-lasting protective coating on my lips. It's definitely the best lip balm I've found, and I have tried a LOT.
It also works great on my boyfriend's extremely dry cuticles. They were peeling and bleeding, and after I got him to try this balm for a couple of weeks there is a huge change and they are back to normal, healthy skin.

The best lip product ever
My lips require continuous moisture and I have been on a quest for years trying to find the perfect lip product. Absolutely nothing surpasses Paula's lip balm. It is a staple in my daily skin care routine. Please do not ever change it! The only thing that worked
My lips were severely chapped for 4 months postpartum. My usual tricks didnt work, exfoliating with a toothbrush, multiple lip balms and Vaseline, increasing hydration by drinking water. This stuff worked within 2 days. My lips are smooth and comfortable again!

Trust me, you'll want more than one
Do you have lips? Nails, elbows and knees? If so, you need this product. I have multiples stashed all over my house, and a mini (the old packaging which I refill) in my purse. I can't get on a plane without it. Whenever I introduce a friend to Paula's Choice products, this is one of the first they rave about. This makes a great stocking stuffer or "just because" gift.

Not bad at all!
My lips are very dry and will crack and bleed if left naked. After using this I can really feel a difference. The lips are completely smooth and lip balm seems to moisturise and stay on the lips better. It didn't irritate my sensitive skin at all.

Better options from Paula
This product is very greasy but not much more effective than other options. For lip care I think the lipscreen is a much better option. For dry skin on the body, I much prefer the Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask. Dry skin...the best thing I have ever used!
I have realllly dry skin and eczema. I use this all over and it works wonders. It is a little hard and not as easy to apply as lotion but it still works better than anything else I have ever used. A little goes a LONG way too!

pretty moist
The lip balm is quite moist. Very impressed with the product. However, the balm is quite hard. How do other people use the balm. Do u use a spatula to scrape out? This product, worn at night while sleeping and occasionally during the day, has cured my winter dry lips syndrome. I'd tried everything! A thin layer does the trick, so my pot of balm lasts a long time. No irritation, just smooth softness. Will not go without it.

I bought this several years ago and loved it. I just bought a couple more, and while it works great, the new ones seem "harder" than before and are difficult to get out. Really works
This is a great, effective lip balm. I'm not someone who needs to apply lip balm constantly, and with this, no one should be. It lasts a considerably long time, really does heal dry skin and my lips look better overall since I've been using it. I got the exfoliant too, and I use it occasionally when my lips get flakier than normal (like they do now with the cold). The jar packaging doesn't really bother me and I think it would be sad to change the texture for packaging purposes. The texture is what makes this so great. Because this is so effective, you don't have to apply that often, and one jar lasts a long time. Such a difference from all the classic balms and chapsticks I've ever used before!

This product is amazing. I suffer from chronic dry lips in the winter where my skin just flakes off. I bought this balm and the scrub, however,t he balm is so effective that I haven't needed to use the scrub yet. I am grateful to Paula for continually delivering honest and high performing products!

Best lip balm ever
No unnecessary, irritating ingredients (that every other company feels compelled to put in their lip products). Just wonderfully emollient ones. Always recommend to acquaintances who can't figure out why their lips are cracked, peeling, and won't heal in spite of persisting with that "tingly" lip balm they're using.

I love this product. I am on my second jar and also bought one for my sister who loves it as well. It has helped my chronically chapped lips and has also been my go to product for chapped nose (from continuous nose-blowing due to a cold.) This is a seriously great product.

This is the absolute best lip balm I have ever tried. It works for dry patches, cuticles, and any other place needed on the body. For those of you who say the balm is too hard, in my experience, in colder weather, balms get harder, and in warmer weather, balms tend to become softer.

I am very unhappy with this product, It is so hard to use, I have very dry lips and when I finally get some of the product on my finger it doesn't go on my lips smoothly. Not a cure for what ails my lips
I quite like the formulation of this product (except for the packaging) and I had high hopes for it, however, it did not help my chronically dry lips that get chapped year-round. It may work for you, but unfortunately, it's not my cure-all. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear this product was not moisturizing enough. Works Better on My Cuticles
I find the consistency of this balm very thick. I have to press really hard to get the product on my finger, and when I apply it, my lips don't feel as hydrated as when I use my basic balm in a tube. I don't find it emoillient or lasting on my lips. However, it works well on my cuticles! Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. Great lip treatment Paula!
Thank you Paula for making this product just right as it really has helped to give back my soft childhood lips. I no longer have hard pieces of dry flaking skin. I will be 53 this coming Feb, and for my whole adult life I had never found a product that would do what your lip and body balm has done for me. I use this in the day with lipstick and at bedtime. Plus one night a week for good measure I will use an exfoliating lip treatment along with the Paula's lip and body balm and I am all set! My home is up in the dry snow covered mountains but my lips don't have to reflect that fact.

I bought 3 of these, one for each of my daughters and one for me. I found the product much too thick and was very disappointed to be giving this for a gift without tring it first. Best Balm Ever; Worst Packaging Ever
I LOVE this balm because it works better than any I've ever tried; however, I agree with other reviewers that it's disgusting to stick your fingers into the product. If it isn't pliable enough for a tube, please put it in a twist up stick like the lipscreen - which isn't nearly as wonderful as the balm. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. The hygiene issue with jar packaging is greatly reduced when the formula in question does not contain water such as this product. We have attempted to package this product in a squeeze tube or twist- up tube but the formula simply does not dispense well. It takes a lot of pressure to get this formula out of a tube so re-packaging would require reformulation. You may try using a lipstick brush when applying it or even a cotton swab. Best on market but wish they would address issues
The lip balm itself is the best I have ever used. I have been using it for years now and will continue to use it regardless. But I do wish it was available in a form where you would not have to stick your fingers in it, as it is not always possible to wash my hands when I need to use it. The PC stick with sunscreen would potentially solve this problem but is simply not as soothing or long lasting, and the cap falls off or breaks in my purse, and it gets dirty as well as getting lip balm in my purse. With how great Paula's Choice products are (I'm a faithful customer from day one- actually back when all she had was books), I am surprised they have not addressed these problems yet. I am very happy with what this product has done to my nails and cuticles. I have the worst nails and cuticles but couldn't stand fake nails any longer. So I gave this a try after sooooo many others that failed. I am thrilled with the results I now have a pretty nail bed (it's actually pink instead of it's usual pale white) and my cuticles look healthy (first time ever). Pretty much anywhere you use it, heels, elbows, lips, it makes such a difference. I reordered today bec. I won't be without it and with winter coming, you won't either.

Best Balm Ever
I have tried many balms on my lips for overnight use and none of them stayed on all night before. Now I awaken with still moist lips rather than dried out crusty chapped feeling lips. After using it in combination with the exfoliant my lips look rosy and healthy again.

This balm is the absolute best I have ever used! Do not waste your time, your money, or your lip skin on other products. I have.
I am a 54 year old science geek who knows a lot about people, product marketing hype, and untrue glossy online reviews. This is the real deal. There is no hype. This is an excellent product!
I wish the container were more user-friendly and sanitary, and that the balm had a broad spectrum sunscreen in it. However, I will continue to live with it as it is. I tried many other lip products during a 2 year period. What an eye-opener and wasteful wallet opener that was! I returned to Paula's Choice lip & body treatment balm and will never leave again!

The best I've found
This is the best lip balm I've used, and I've used many on my dry lips, including all of the natural brands, Nuxe, and all of the drugstore brands. Most of them contain camphor or mint, which further dries my lips out. I use this balm at night and in the morning, and typically don't need to reapply during the day. I recently had a cold and used this on my chapped nose, and it healed it overnight.
My first complaint is about the container. I wish it were more hygienic rather than a pot that I have to keep sticking my finger into. Also, I liked the smaller size, as I could carry it in my purse. I wish it came in a choice of two sizes. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your feedback. We wished that the Lip & Body Treatment Balm were possible in a squeeze-tube, but in previous testing the ultra-emollient balm actually begins to break down the soft plastic container! No more Carmex
Really love the Lip Treatment Balm haven't really used it much on my cuticles. I was addicted to Carmex but have no need for it anymore. It lasts a long time too!! Might have to try the lip exfoliate too.

Awesome & improved packaging
This was my go to product for soft lips and dry areas on my face, it's great for dry, wintery eyebrows. However, when the generous jar was changed to a tiny one, I stopped buying this wonderful product. NOW THE GREAT BIG JAR IS BACK ! I bought several since they are on sale now. LOVE IT!

Best lip balm ever!
Amazing! No matter the season my lips are always dry, chapped and flaky. I have tried dozens of lip balms but they either didn't work or smelled funny. I put this on at night and the next morning my lips were completely smooth. It really is a miracle product. I am so glad I tried this and will never use another lip balm again! Thank goodness for this lip balm! I use it and love it. But I am really excited to let you know that my 18 month old granddaughter's eczema around her mouth is almost gone! After numerous trips to the dermatologist and several cortizone prescriptions, nothing made it better. Then several recommended home treatments, no luck. The lip balm applied 2-3 times a day has been so successful. We can finally have a picture made without a red face! Thanks so much, Paula, for an exceptional product!

Best lip-balm ever created
I have yet to find a lip-balm that compares to this. Very moisturizing, protective, and deeply penetrating. I like the thicker consistency and hope Paula never changes this formula. I put it on at night before I go to bed. It is still on when I wake up and my lips are beautifully moisturized and soft. p.s. I'm so glad Paula brought back the larger .5 oz size!

Awesome but overpriced
I've been using this product for years, and I swear by it. However, I'm disappointed that they raised the price and put it in tiny little jars. BEST LIP BALM EVER!
This lip balm has been the best, most moisturinzing balm I have ever used. My lips would get dry and peel, making even "moisturizing"-type lipsticks look dry on my lips. But NO MORE! Since I have been using this, my lips stay soft and smoooth, and I no longer feel the need to pick the dry skin off my lips. My lipstick looks better too. A definite must-have. Please don't stop making this or change the formula!

Healthy Skin

Amazing!
I burned the underside of my forearm on an oven rack on Christmas Day. I used burn ointment for the first week, then switched to Paula's Lip & Body Treatment Balm. The area is now healthy & pink & soft. I use this product daily on my lips as well and it has brought out the beautiful natural color that I hadn't seen in awhile.

Granted that, this product is amazing for chapped lips. However, the jar packaging MUST go. It is so annoying that I have to dip my finger in it every time I use it. Put it in a squeeze tube like your body butter. Much faster, cleaner, more sanitary. The jar is just nasty. Customer Care Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Great product
This is good stuff! My lips were always sensitive to lip products so I had to use Vaseline for 20 years. Thankfully I tried this product and I really love it. Highly recommend it for keeping lips soft and pretty.

It works but it's work to get it out!
I tried rubbing my finger over the balm but was unable to get enough product to apply to my lips, so I resorted to scraping it out with my finger nail and then applying it, YUCK, I know. Finally relief!
I am so grateful for this product and cannot recommend it highly enough! I suffer from horribly dry, cracked, peeling lips which frequently bleed. I have tried every lip balm and salve with frequent applications, and had never gotten relief. I saw this product and read the reviews and thought, "it's worth a shot." After one use I could feel a distinct improvement. After a couple uses, my lips were no longer painful and cracked. Now, with just daily use my lips are soft and healthy. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! Glad I tried it
My lips were horribly chapped, I tried vaseline and many chapsticks and it still didn't fix the problem. I bought this along with the microbeads to exfoliate the dead skin. Boy did it work!My lips finally look like real lips (not wrinkled and dry). And thanks to your wonderful lipsticks, I can now put on great colors without drying them out.

Excellent for lips
I love this for my lips. It feels great (not greasy or sticky) and seems to last for a really long time. I just received my second jar (I have the smaller size) so now I can start using it on elbows, cuticles, etc.

This is wonderful stuff, and I greatly appreciate the convenient purse size, but boy, howdy, do I wish there was a more generously sized container! If I'm going to use this on my heel and callouses and elbows I'll use the currently available size up in no time. The size is the only reason this doesn't rate a 5-star review.

Great Product
I had read the reviews of this product and everyone seemed to like it, so when it went on sale, I jumped. Had I known it was going to be this good, I would have bought more than just two. To get around the concerns about it being in a pot, not a stick or tube, I wash my hands prior to applying it,and get out as much as I need for one application. No double dipping! That should keep the product reasonably clean and bacteria free. So don't let the container stop you from trying this. This is the best lip balm I have ever used.

I am thrilled to hear that Paula and her team listened to the customers and are changing the packaging on this product back to the original size. I LOVE this product and have used it for 10+ years (or ever how long it's been in existence!). I had just sadly come to the conclusion last night after I had finished my 2nd pot of the small size that I was not going to order again due to the small size (hard to get your finger in to get product without getting it under your fingernail, not to mention the smaller size just does not last me long at all). Absolutely Amazing Product
This lip balm is amazing- I have never found anything else as good as this. It's a little expensive for lip balm and I wish I could pick it up in a store instead of waiting for it to ship, but the price really is well worth it.

Lip fix
This is a pretty nice balm. Works quickly to heal chapped lips. Could this be offered in tube form?
I can't wear this at night. I have very acne-prone skin and have to be very careful not to spread what I put on lips to my face (I use a non-comedogenic lotion on lips at night). I do use this sparingly during the day and it keeps my lips soft. Having super oily skin, I hate the feeling of anything remotely greasy, even on my lips, but I can put this on lightly and it still works. Wish there was something like this (with similar results) I could wear at night. If that were possible, it would make this product really exciting.

Fantastic product - This is the best I've found for Actinic Cheilitis (sun damage); my lips ulcerate & then take weeks to heal. PLEASE package it in a tube for more sanitary use to avoid adding infection to the mix!

Rx strength cure for dry lips
My lips had been cracking and bleeding for weeks. i tried Vaseline, lip gloss...everything you can imagine. It seemed to only make things worse. I purchased this, along with the lipscreen, and HONESTLY within two days, the cracked lips were gone...no more bleeding, nothing but smooth lips! This is a miracle!

This is the best moisturizer for my lips! It's just right - not stiff/waxy, but not gooey. And I love that there is no taste/smell and no sunscreen. I use it occasionally at night and don't even need it during the day because it is so good.

I've been using "Lip & Body Balm" for 5+ years and am totally addicted. I put it on my lips every night before bed and *never* have chapped lips. Great Stuff but.......
I ordered this product and I love it. It works great on the lips and cuticles. I also use it on my heels at night. This really helps keep the skin soft between pedicures. The drawback for me is the price. It's a small .5 oz container. Using it on my lips, cuticles and heels every night, it didn't last long. With the size, cost and shipping, it's a bit too pricey for me.

Soft Lips!!
Love this!! Makes your lips very soft and smooth. I always battled chapped lips, and this has improved the condition of my lips. Its also great for cuticles! I am used to buying Fresh- Lip Balm at $25 for a small tube. So this is a great product for the price.

AS a teacher I only have a few times during the day that I can apply anything to my lips. I put Lip Recovery Balm on in the morning and it does not wear off! My fifteen year old son keeps taking it from my purse-I am buying him his own.

All-time favourite!
My all-time favourite lip balm. Finally I have found a product which perfectly protects and moisturises my lips without ANY fear of the irritation that most other lip products cause! An essential product that I always keep close. If it also came in a stick format it would be THE perfect lip balm!

excellent for Accutane users
I just finished 5 months on Accutane. My lips were so dry and painful, that I couldn't stop biting and rubbing them. Found this and it worked great. I had to reapply it many times throughout the day, but it kept me and my lips sane. It also helped my dry nose(another Accutane side effect). Would love it in a tube though...

No More Dry, Chapped Lips!

Not bad...
Works great for lips. However, using on other parts of your body feels like putting lip balm on your skin. It's pretty thick. It does absorb in a reasonable amount of time though. I will absolutely use all of this, but I'm not sure I'd order again. Its just not for me :)

I love to use this balm on my chapped, dry lips. But I have found a new use for it: I use it on the callouses on my dog's elbows. Because he isn't a "licker" I don't have to worry about it being ingested. Thanks for a great product.

This balm is SUPERB for chapped lips and eye area skin, but if it were packaged in a user-friendly, more portable and sanitary squeeze tube then the best would become even better!

Healing Balm
This nourishing balm is excellent! It works beautifully as a lip balm, eye cream and cuticle cream. The texture of my lips are dramatically improved and it lasts a long time once applied and doesn't make me feel sticky and goowy. It doesn't have any funny odor, what a gem. In the winter I suffer from extremely dry chapped lips and nose. The only thing that would stop the cracking and bleeding was to constantly apply vaseline, which was messy and the relief only lasted for an hour or so. I tried the Lip & Body Treatment Balm, which conditioned and protected my lips immediately, and the protection lasted all day! I did not reapply until right before bedtime.
