My face has never felt so happy!
I've read everyone else's comments and agree - this stuff burns. But the burning lasts about anywhere from 5-10 seconds, then fades. After that, my skin feels soft and supple, and completely hydrated. Generally I hate toners, because they leave that gross tacky kind of feel on the skin. This stuff I can throw on after washing my face, and if the weather isn't dry as all get out, I don't even need moisturizer!
If you can handle a few seconds of burning, I think it's 100% worth it. I've suffered from cystic acne for years, and using this in combination with face wash, and it's almost all gone! :)

Unpleasant scent
I didn't really notice the scent when I sampled this toner, but once I received the full-sized product, I noticed an unpleasant odor. I know that fragrance-free products are better for my skin, but I can see why fragrances are added to products now. Not for me
After having used the Skin Recovery Enriched Calming Toner,I do not like this toner at all!! Don't like the feel of this toner on my skin and do not like the smell. Going back to my original toner. Burns my sensitive skin
I was looking for a replacement for Paula's skin balancing toner (a great lightweight toner, btw) for the winter months, as my skin has gotten drier. Unfortunately, this one burned terribly upon application, and turned my rosacea-prone nose bright red for hours! Yummy!
The first few times I used this it was a little bit tingly and prickly, but not so much that I threw in the towel. I'm so glad I kept using it because this has become one of my favorite steps in my skincare routine. It feels so soothing and luxurious. I use my hands to splash it on my face, neck and chest, and a bottle lasts me about 3 months. I love how lightweight and fresh it feels and it's a great way to add more antioxidants and a hint of moisture to my regimen without feeling like I've got too many products on my skin. Because this spreads so easily and lasts so long, I don't hesitate to use it on my neck and chest. It's lovely!

I have been a happy user of the whole line for a long time, and I really wish my review could be different, but I tried this toner a while ago and would not recommend it. It stings! great toner!
This is a great, light toner for my normal/dry skin however I'll probably always still need to use a moisturizer with it even in Tokyo's hot, humid summer. My skin is slightly sensitive and prone to redness but I had no problems with this. I noticed a big reduction in fine lines around my eyes after only 2-3 weeks of use. My other makeup goes on much nicer after using this.

I use to use the Final Touch toner years ago. Got a sample of the Moisture Boost toner recently and tried it. I was very surprised by the stinging it caused. What's different about it? This is just an ok toner. Similar to the Skin Recovery toner(although Recovery feels slightly more moisturizing). Didn't make my face breakout. Doesn't feel too moisturizing for combination skin. It has an unpleasant smell though.

I have been using this for myself and my clients (I am a makeup artist specializing in wedding makeup) and have only had 1 client give potentially negative feedback in 3+ years. I have combo skin and this really works well to remove the last traces of makeup and residue from the day leaving my skin super clean but never dry. You will need to give it about 1 minute to dry/penetrate your skin before applying other product. In general, Paula's products are stellar and I would definitely repurchase with confidence.

Great moisturizer for oily skin

Cannot live without it!
I LOVE this toner! I go through a bottle a month (I WISH you would make a larger size available). For me, the moisturizer and all the other products just do not work properly without this step. Also, toner removes flakiness around the nose better than any other product, especially in the winter. I totally saturate my face with the toner. I don't want just a dampening with it, I want my face soaked. Great stuff!!!!!!!

I have oily facial skin but a dry flaky scalp. How terrible, right? Well, i decided to put a pump spray on this toner and every night i spray into my hair and scalp. In the morning I wash it out with my fragrance and color free shampoo/conditioner and the end result is incredibly improved scalp condition, hair texture, and hair growth with strength. I noticed the improved scalp condition after 1 week and the hair condition after 2 weeks.

Moisture Boost Toner
This toner burns my face just a little bit. It isn't as bad as some other toners I have tried, but it did have a slight burning sensation. I just got the skin recovery toner and I really like that one much better. It feels soft and cushiony when you are applying it and it does not burn my face in the least.

Not for me
I love Paula's products but this one didn't work for me. It made my rosacea-ridden skin blotchy and red, and later it was flaking. This may work well for someone with not so sensitive skin though.

i really love this toner--skin recovery toner is too heavy for me and the others are too light in their moisturizing properties. i use this after the 2% liquid bha and it keeps my skin from flaking and i don't even need a moisturizer!

Moisture Boost Hydrating Toner
Big disappointment. The other toner made my skin feel refreshed. I thought I was buying the same product. This product has an odd smell and it burns my skin. Why do you still have this on the market?

Unlike any toner I've used before--amazing!
I have easily irritated, sensitive skin, yet this toner did not bother me one little bit. In fact, I was amazed at how my skin became smoother and brighter as the days went by. It works wonderfully and leaves no "tight and dry" effect nor the "something yucky's still on my face" feel. Just clean & fresh feeling skin with a soft glowing look. Finally, a REAL moisterizing toner!
Until now I have never found a toner that didn't dry out my skin and make my nose peal! This product actually feels like I'm helping my skin rather than making it sting and itch. Along with the other products in this line and the 1% BHA and Super Antioxidant Concentrate, my skin is healthy, smooth, blemish-free and perfectly hydrated.

Nice Toner
This is pretty good toner. It does the trick. Makes skin feel good. I've noted a little stinging/tingling sensation but nothing to the effect of some of the other reviews that stated it burned their face or made it beet red.

Faulty products
I have a very high expectation after reading your book. I ordered two products,moister toner and eye gelliner. Both items are highly unsatisfying. Toner burn my face like fire, and the gelliner is totally dry, I had to throw it away.Paula, in your book every product of yours had a high check mark, how do you explain that I received faulty products?

The Best I've Ever Used
Since I was a teenager I have been using a toner. This is the only one that is gentle enough on my skin, doesn't leave my face dry, yet removes all makeup and dirt, and this has resulted in clearer skin.

Excellent Toner
I love this toner. I also have the Skin Recovery toner which I use in the dead of winter, but for most of the year I prefer this one. It balances my skin and keeps it from feeling dry after cleansing. It's my opinion the seasons have a huge impact on what works when, in addition to your skin type. I've used toners for over 30 years and wouldn't be without Paula's toners.

I have been using toners for over 30 years, mainly the non-alcohol ones such as those by L'Oreal or Nivea so I expected this one to be at least as good. Unfortunately, I found it irritates my skin (makes it sting and makes it red). In addition, it smells bad. In contrast, I absolutely loved the Skin Recovery Toner. No bad smells and a great feeling.

Great Product!
I absolutly adore this product and experienced no burning that previous writers had mentioned. Sometimes I have experienced a tingling, but it was no where close to painful or uncomfortable. This toner is wonderful for me. It gets rid of the extra dirt and makeup my face cleaner missed. It leaves behind an extra hydra-boost as well that leaves my skin looking excellent. Very Disappointed in This Toner
I've used and loved 3 different toners from Paula's Choice over the past several years. Surprisingly, this one stung my face and burned my skin. Don't know what ingredient is causing the problem, but I can't tolerate it. (I wish they'd bring back the final Touch toner for normal to dry skin. It was good for winter months, but still light enough for those w/ combination skin.) I was glad that I only bought 2 sample packets instead of a whole bottle. I am one of those women who avoided toners for years just to avoid the alcohol in them. Learning that your Toners have good things for my skin in them was a revelation. What do toners "tone"? I thought Paula didn't recommend toners!
Paula has always recommended toners that are well-formulated. Toners can be a great after-cleansing step to be sure you've removed all your makeup. When properly formulated, they soothe skin and provide an extra dose of antioxidants and repairing ingredients.
