Moisturizing Lipscreen
The best of best! It truly is the smoothest, non-waxy lipscreen I have ever used. Works wonderful under lipstick and as a cream gloss.
—Barbara Fleming
Love it
My husband works outside and this is the sunscreen he prefers. He use to get sores on his lips and must be allergic to some other lipscreens as they seem to make it worse, however he has found what works in Paula's and never wants to run out. THANKS
—Cherri
My Favorite Lip Treatment
I adore this product. Unlike anything else I've ever used, this lip treatment brightens my lips, keeps them protected, and is quite creamy. Paula used to make a tiny tub of it, and I miss that very much. Good work Paula.
—Gael
Amazing lip balm!
I think Paula may be psychic. I'm ridiculously picky about the texture of my lip balm, and the lipscreen is perfect! Very smooth and light.
—Amanda
Moisturizing Lipscreen SPF15
Decent texture and moisturization, but the packaging is a problem. The cap comes off easily and the product tends soften, even in a pants pocket. Once softened, the thread becomes ineffective and the product is a mess. Please repackage this product.
—Ryan
Awesome!
The best sunscreen lipbalm I've used. It has UVA and UVB protection!!
—Karen
Good, but melts
This lip balm has a great at room temperature. Unfortunately, it gets too soft in the 90+ degree heat of an Arizona spring. I imagine it would be unusable at 105 degrees. Still, it's probably the best SPF lip balm I've tried.
—Yuliya
Love at first try
Just got this today. It is silky smooth, creamy and ultra-moisturing without that waxy thick lumpy texture. Lays down a good protective coat that melts into the lip area and stays put. Would it be possible to make a squeeze tube formula for hot climates?
—Nikki Tsuchiya
Great but too soft
I simply adore the texture and ingredients in this lipscreen, and it doesn't make my lips get chapped; HOWEVER, it gets so gooey soft that I can't use it outdoors.
A tube dispenser would be the BOMB/BALM
—Mo
Great, but goes on white
This is the first lip balm that doesn't make me break out around my mouth. It doesn't feel greasy and there's no bad taste or smell like others I have tried. The only negative is that it looks white on my lips when I first apply it.
—Julie
Love
I love this...goes on smooth and lasts long. Some lip balms tend to dry your lips out even more! But this is a definite keeper. I think it may go on white if your lips are extremely dry and haven't been exfoliated...or if you're applying too much :)
—Betty
It's okay
I think this lip product works well and does a good job of hydrating my lips, however the taste it leaves behind is horrible. Everytimse I use this product I am left with a horrible after-taste. So, overall, this product is just okay.

Amy
I like the product itself, but the cap has been a problem for me. Both times I bought this product the cap had broken in my purse (under normal usage conditions) leaving the product messy and useless. Sturdier packiging would be great. I miss your Protective Lip Balm in the jar. I bought a bunch when you phased it out and now I am almost out. Even though it has long since expired, it is still good!
—Amy
Best Lip balm every used
This is truly the best lip balm I have ever used - and I have tried a fair number. I love the creamy texture and the fact that I can feel it on my lips for a long time. The caps do break, as listed below, and this product does not help with the recovery of severely chapped lips (I find that a thin coating of vapor rub before bed does the best recovery), but this is the best preventative balm.
—Lynn
That white gunk...
I really wanted to love this - and I did - until I realized it was the source of white buildup along the inner edges of my lips (ick). This is probably better for someone who doesn't have lips as dry as mine; I think the problem for me was that I apply lip balm really liberally, so it caked.
Customer Care Response: We apologize about your experience with this product and would recommend you consider an alternative product we offer called Sheer Cream Lipstick SPF15 in Invisible. This product offers moisturization, subtle shine and most importantly sun protection.
—amaebi519
best lip moisturizer
I have *very* dry lips--this lip treatment is wonderful! As others have said, it needs to be packaged differently--in a tube, in a small jar. The product gets stuck in the cap, the cap breaks..But the product itself is amazing!
—dianak
too awesome
I was so happy to get to use my new lipbalm, but while I kept wanting to reapply, it wasn't necessary. It just sits there as I stare at it with perfect lips.
—Betty
Poor Packaging
A great lip balm, but terrible packaging. I don't have the answer but I agree with all the reviewers who say that the cap is terrible--either breaks or comes off too easily and the product ends up all over your pocket or purse. And the balm does seem to soften or melt a lot, making matters worse. Would it change the nature of the lip balm if it were in a small, pocket size tube with a screw cap? At least work on the cap. No other brand lip balm cap I've used breaks or falls off so easily. Would really like to be able to buy this product again. Hope this can be fixed.
—Rose Arnold
White lips aren't attractive
This product is soft as other reviewers have said, but even though I live in Florida, I have not found it to be a problem. The only problem I do have is a big deal for me. I thought this was similar to a Chapstick in the sense that it wouldnt add any color to my lips. The truth is, as another reviewed stated, it leaves my lips looking iridescent white. It doesnt matter how little I apply. I was told by a Paula's Choice rep that this was due to the type of sunscreen in the product and they werent working on new formulations. I will happily buy this product again if they do. I hate that I have to use a mirror just to apply a basic chapstick-like product to avoid looking like a clown.
—Noelle Wilcox
Please make a lip balm without petrolatum!
Unfortunately, I cannot use products with petrolatum (including this one...), which I am very allergic to. Please consider making a lip balm without it, as I have discovered it is actually a common irritant amongst others. Thank you.
Customer Care: Please call our Customer Service for assistance with finding a product that will work for you. Also, please note that we have a 60-day 100% Satisfaction Guarantee return policy.

Horrible packaging, great product
I will agree with several of the reviewers who commented on the packaging problem. I've had to throw out TWO of these when the base was turned, the product advanced, and the lid came off--all while simply sitting in my pocket. The product itself works very well. PLEASE fix the packaging! Bring back the small "jars" you used to have or put it in a squeeze-up tube.
—Timothy
Moisturizing Lipscreen SPF 15
I adore this product. Even though it tends to turn the lips white, this problem is instantly solved by applying the lipscreen directly over lipstick. An added bonus is that I'm now getting a 2nd life out of a collection of lipsticks that are way too dark and bold. With a top coat of lipscreen the resulting colour is generally soft and muted. Plus, in addition to keeping the lips moist, it actually makes the lipstick last longer. Who can argue with that?
—Amy C.
Lipscreen Packaging
Even though some reviewers recommend this lipscreen be packaged in a jar or tube, I disagree. If I'm out and about and in need of a quick flick of moisturizer, I'd rather not have the bacteria from the escalator handrail over my lips. A capped tube is so much more appealing! And sanitary!
—Amy C.
what a godsend!
I have always had a problem with chapped lips, and with finding a suitable product solution. All of the other chapsticks have made my lips more chapped, or didn't do anything to make them better, until now. I love this lipscreen becaue it has NO irritating ingredients, and has sufficient UVA and UVB protection. This is the only chapstick I will ever buy again.
—amanda
White lips? Noooo...
I can't use this product, lip balm junkie that I am. I have caramel skin and very pink lips for my complexion. I usually do not wear much colour on my lips. This balm made my lips WHITE, no matter how little I applied. I looked like a photo negative of a mime! I didn't return it, because I live in Canada and the shipping charges would not have made it worth the effort.

Wheat Germ
I loved this product until I was diagnosed with a condition that prohibits my use of wheat-containing products of any kind. Would rate this a 5 if it were Celiac friendly.

Tweak this product and packagaing please!
Paula and team have wanted to like this product always, but first of all the white cast and build up it causes at the creases of the lips is unflattering. Why not formulate a Lipscreen with Avobenzone and put it in a squeeze tube that is slanted at the top, like Kiehls tinted lip balms or Cliniques Superbalm Lip Treatment.Just an idea that would really improve this product finally and really fly off your warehouse shelves.
—Erik DesVaux
Great product but please change the cap
The lip balm itself is great, but the cap needs to be re-designed. It falls off in my makeup bag, making a mess. Please change the packaging.
Customer Care Response: Thank you for the feedback. We will make sure to share this with our product and packaging teams. In the meantime, we do have some replacement caps in stock. Please contact our customer service team to have one mailed out.
—Brenda
I wanted to love it, but can't
It's smooth, but not very moisturizing, and leaves a whitish cast. I ignored the warnings because of sunscreen but found myself with the same issue. The packaging looks innocuous, but I had several tubes ruined after the cap came off without heat or rough treatment. Please fix!
Customer Care Response: We appreciate your feedback regarding the Moisturizing Lipscreen and will share it with our Product Development Team. In the meantime please contact Customer Care via Live Chat, email or phone for return assistance.

lipscreen versus intense dry heat
In cool, moist eastern Canada, Paula's Moisturizing Lipscreen is tops and I'd rate it a 5. Recently, however, I spent a week in hot, dry New Mexico. I applied the lipscreen over my lipstick as I usually do but by the end of the week my lips were peeling and sore (I'm NOT a sun worshiper, by the way). In fact, it took a few weeks after I had returned home for my lips to fully recover. I'm not sure why. I'm wondering if had I skipped the lipstick basecoat and simply applied the lipscreen to bare lips maybe I wouldn't have had that problem. Any thoughts?
Customer Care Response: We are sorry to hear about your experience with this product. It is possible that a change of climate could have contributed to that reaction but it is difficult to pin point. Please contact customer service via email, phone or Live Chat for product substitution suggestions when traveling.

The best of best! It truly is the smoothest, non-waxy lipscreen I have ever used. Works wonderful and as a cream gloss. Thanks Paula so much,i am your customer, just price to much for it.Maksim.

Lois
A tad expensive but worth every penny. I keep multiple tubes stashed in makeup bags, train case, bedside and, of course, dressing table. I love the balm also but it's harder to use.
—Lois
Packaging/Containers
Dear Paula, Some of your products, including the lip sunscreen, large bottles of shampoo & conditioner, aren't packaged well-the cap comes easily off of the lip balm, the caps on the large bottles tend to wear out at the hinge and no longer attach to the bottle.
Regarding the brushes - all are great except for the portable powder brush. I bought two, and both fell apart as soon as I tried to put them together.
Good luck with this!
Otherwise, I love your line and the service you provide for the consumer, and constantly recommend your products.
Best,
Claudia

Rx strength
My lips were SO dry to the point where they were bleeding during the night. I tried vaseline along with whatever else moisturizer I could find, and it seemed to make it worse. I purchased this along with the recovery lip balm and honestly, within two days, no later, my lips were smooth as silk. It cured my lips from the dryness and the flakiness. I totally recommend this product!!!
—meghan
Too white...
Great texture and feel but too white on lips for darker skins!
Customer Care Response: We appreciate your feedback on this item and will share it with Paula. An alternate product you may wish to consider is our Sheer Cream Lipstick in Invisible. This should provide a similar feeling on the lips but without the white cast.
—Kiran
Anything but Octinoxate Oxybenzone
Please Paula! Any SPF even Titanium Dioxide. Both Octinoxate and Oxybenzone can cause severe contact dermatitis.
Customer Care Response: Thank you for your feedback. Paula has not found any conclusive evidenence that these ingredients lead to dermatitis but we will share your concern with Paula her and her team.
—Jeanette
What makes this product unique?
Moisturizing Lipscreen SPF 15 is unlike most other lip products, which are little more than wax coatings that can make lips feel protected but don't really moisturize or protect from the sun. Moisturizing Lipscreen SPF 15 works to keep lips super soft and protected against UVA & UVB damage. Lips are more vulnerable to the environment than any other part of the face, so keeping them moist and sealed against the sun is essential. This conveniently packaged lip balm can be easily carried in your purse, pocket or briefcase.
This product is 100% fragrance- and colorant-free.
Who is this product for?
Moisturizing Lipscreen SPF 15 can be used by anyone!
How should this product be used?
Apply liberally to lips prior to sun exposure. Reapply as needed throughout the day. Can be worn alone or under lipstick.

Our Exfoliating Treatment is an all-seasons solution for eliminating and preventing dry, chapped, flaky lips. It may be used morning and/or evening, as often as needed. Sun protection is vital for healthy lips so we offer two state-of-the-art products to meet that need. Moisturizing Lipscreen SPF 15 is a portable, smooth-textured lip balm in stick form, and contains an in-part titanium dioxide sunscreen for sufficient UVA protection. Our Sheer Cream Lipstick SPF 15 shade Invisible is designed as a lighter, glossier option for keeping lips moist and shielded from the sun's rays. Its in-part avobenzone sunscreen ensures UVA protection. For nighttime lip care, a Paula's Choice staff favorite is our Lip & Body Treatment Balm. This ultra-emollient product keeps lips smooth, soft, and protected from external causes of dryness such as indoor heat or low humidity. Lip & Body Treatment Balm may be used any time, but it should be followed with a product containing sunscreen if you'll be in daylight. Can I use the Moisturizing Lipscreen SPF 15 at night? Yes, although Paula's Choice Lip & Body Balm is a better option, as there is no need to wear sunscreen at night.
Should/Can I use the Moisturizing Lipscreen SPF 15 under my lipstick? If your lips feel or look dry prior to putting on lipstick, then yes you should.
Do I need a lip balm with sunscreen?
Yes!
May I use the Moisturizing Lipscreen SPF 15 at night?
Yes, although Paula's Choice Lip Recovery Balm is a better option, as there is no need to wear sunscreen at night.
Is it OK to apply Moisturizing Lipscreen SPF 15 before my lipstick or lip gloss?
Yes. Moisturizing Lipscreen works great under lipsticks. It can be trickier to use with lip glosses, especially if they're sheer. However, we encourage you to experiment to see if you like the results. We do not recommend using Moisturizing Lipscreen SPF 15 beneath long-wearing lip paints, as lips needs to be clean and dry before brushing on lip paints.
