I used to go to the drugstore to buy my cleansers -- only ones rated well by Paula and her team, but then I received a sample of this cleanser and tried a few other samples of Paula's cleaners and then tried this cleanser again and I must say, I am so pleased. The texture is lotion like and smooth and just slightly foamy. It doesn't dry out my skin or aggregate my oily cheeks. It takes off my makeup and my face just feels cleansed and soft afterwards. I can see Estee Lauder selling this stuff for $30 or more. Thank you Paula for making such an elegant cleanser at a fair price. Now I have no reason to go to the drugstore or department store for my skin care as I am now using all of your products!!!

Simple, Wonderful, Perfect!
Despite my slight obsession with anything Paula's Choice that makes me want to try all the products, regardless of how well my current one is treating me, I always come back to and use this cleanser as my staple. It just simply does its job- cleanses well, doesn't leave my 30-something combination skin tight or dry or with a greasy film, removes all my (admittedly light) makeup, and as a bonus, only needs a nickel-sized amount to do it. Thanks so much for making at least one skincare choice a no-brainer!

Love this cleanser - it's creamy and not drying, and I can actually rub it right over my eyes to get off my stubborn waterproof mascara without it burning or stinging. It takes everything off without being drying, irritating or "soapy." Will definitely repurchase.

Incredible value.
A little bit goes a very long way. A pea-sized amount is enough to cleanse my entire face and neck. At this rate, I don't think I'll ever run out! I gave it a 4 because I actually find it a bit too moisturizing , and I have dry-normal skin.

I had to send it back because it dried my skin so badly that I had white skin patches around my nose and lips. The product claims to use from normal to dry skin.I didn't like the fact that the shipping isn't free. It should be! Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. Removes makeup, but too drying
I am on the hunt for a new PC cleanser since my skin has recently changed from combo/oily to much drier, and my longtime HG Skin Balancing cleanser is now too drying. I tried the Moisture boost cleanser hoping that it would be a better alternative, but found that it is also very drying for me, leaving my skin tight and patchy. It does however do an excellent job of removing eye makeup. I am now using Skin Recovery cleanser, which is a little better, but it doesn't take off my mascara - will use this for a while longer before reviewing. I have my eye on the new Earth Sourced cleanser, since it is recommended for rosacea-prone, sensitive skin. I am really excited to see this more natural line introduced into Paula's products!

The Very Best
Well Paula - another wonderful product. Soon, my whole skin care line will be all Paula's Choice. What a relief from the department store. This is truly a great cleanser. So lightweight and soothing to the skin. I have sensitive skin and this cleanser feels amazing. It removes all make-up and you don't feel like you beat up your face. Customer service is wonderful - so helpful and eager to assist. By the way, the sunscreens are the best in the world. Please consider making a lip product with a higher spf. I have had lip cancer and my doctor wants me to wear an spf of at least 30 - 40. Thanks again for being such an advocate of good skin care. Perfect!
I have purchased bottle after bottle of this amazing cleanser and I never want to be without it. It is perfect for my aging, sensitive, combination, prone-to-breaking-out skin. The texture is silky, and it rinses beautifully without leaving any residue. It even removes my eye makeup without any irritation. If you are used to harsh, high-lathering cleansers like I was, the texture may take a little getting used to, but now I would never go back. I absolutely LOVE this product!

Great cleanser, funny smell
I've had it for a week and really love it so far. It smells king of weird and plastic-y or synthetic, but it is worth it for how clean and soft my skin feels. All Time Best Ever
I have tried so many cleansers on the market, from Estee Lauder, Clinique, Erno Laszlo, Lancome, Laura Mercier and to who knows what else. This Paula's Choice cleanser is the one I keep returning to over and over again. Even before I am even close to out, I order another. It totally removes my makeup and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. I don't even use toner afterward and find that I get great results without it. For the price, for what it does for my skin, for not being harsh, I can't say enough good about it. I just hope it continues to be offered. I really love it.

Best cleanser I've ever used
Absolutely great. I'm going to sound like the back of the bottle here but it's true- its moisturizing, it takes off all makeup (and I go heavy on the eyeliner) and then it manages to rinse clean. No residue, no oiliness, just soft skin.

SO Good It Should Be Sold as a Treatment
I recently purchased the 16oz. size and was positive I would still need to use a makeup remover. This is the first cleanser that completely removes all makeup--even the waterproof mascara and long wearing eye liners--without leaving my skin feeling tight afterwards. I would have been happy if that was all it did, but it goes even further and leaves you with the silkiest, smoothest, most hydrated skin you've ever felt. I did not need to apply moisturizer after cleansing. I really was blown away. This is an amazing product. I won't use anything else going forward. It really could be marketed as a treatment product. There are many cleansers that say they're moisturizing (even some that Paula highly recommends), but this one surpasses them all. I'm surprised it isn't given a position of greater prominence on this site. Would love a pump for easier application, and would be thrilled to see a 32oz. size. Great product
I like this Moisture Boost One Cleanser very much. It is gentle, yet still removes my eye makeup. I have norma to dry skin. It's a keeper in my book!
However, I notice Paula has a few other cleansers for normal to dry skin. I would very much like to see a comparison as to how they differ, so I would know if I am using the right one for me.

Another great cleanser
I have been using Paula's Skin Balancing Cleanser, but wanted to switch just for the winter while my skin is dryer. I am so pleased with the Moisture Boost Cleanser. I only need to use a tiny amount, and it forms a silky lather that washes off easily. My skin feels great. And as with all of Paula's products, I really appreciate the absence of fragrance.

SERIOUSLY the best cleanser
No scent, no color = great. I used to only want cleansers that foamed up like mad, but this doesn't create lots of bubbles, and it outperforms any cleanser I ever tried (and there are lots I have tried). I actually use it as body wash too, just with my hands not a pile on a washcloth or anything, lol. A great product, thank you.

I think I've finally found the right cleanser. I've tried hydralight, Olay, Clean&Clear. They were all Ok, but either too drying or left a tacky residue. It takes a few extra seconds to rinse, but it does rinse clean. Perfect.

Great cleanser
I purchased this cleanser, because my oily skin gets a little dry in the winter, but not dry enough to warrant the use of a more emollient moisturizer. I have also found that this cleanser is great for... um... personal hygiene. I think I'll buy the large size next time and try it as a hand soap, like another reviewer suggested.

Nice, mild cleanser
This is a really good cleanser. I especially like that it feels soft and gentle when on my skin, not harsh. Given how gentle it feels on the skin, it does an amazing job of actually cleansing the skin. I do not feel any residue once my skin is rinsed but also do not feel dry -- which is rare in a cleanser that is "gentle".

Great Hand Soap Too!
This is a wonderful facial cleanser. I have found an additional use for it. Whenever I'm at home, I use it to wash my hands too. My nails are long and healthy now. I don't like to use hand moisturizers, so this solves that problem. It may be a little expensive as a hand cleanser, but I save money by not having to buy moisturizer for my hands.

Soothing
This cleanser feels soothing on my dry and sensitive skin. It spreads easily but seems to take a long time to rinse off. It's not overly moisturizing, but neither does it leave my skin feeling dry. I use it in the morning, before Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Toner.

Solved my mild Roseacea
I used this cleanser for about a year and my mild roseacea disappeared! I didn't get my prescription lotions refilled anymore because I didn't need them. Then, I used another product (not Paul's Choice) briefly simply because it was given to me and I didn't want it to be wasted. Within three weeks the roseascea is back. I'm ordering more of this amazing cleanser today and will never use another!

Impressive!!!
I have blemish prone skin, but since I am in my late 20's my skin is becoming drier which means I can't use the harsh cleansers I've used before. This is amazing, it clears out my blemishes, cleans and hydrates well. I never thought I would enjoy a cleanser for dry skin and still be acne free but you're a pro Paula! Thanks for these wonderful products. Btw, I use this with the hydrating mask and it helps the dryness a lot. It rejuvinates it and makes it baby soft.

great but smells bad
I ordered this by accident instead of the Hydralight one step cleanser and it works very well but there is an unpleasant odor. OMG! Loooove!
I was originally using the Skin Balancing Cleanser and I really like that, but it left my skin a little tight. I purchased this during the Cleanser and Toner sale and I decided to purchase the larger bottle. I loooove this cleanser! It has a slight lather and it compliment my skin well. My skin feels like it has been pampered! I never thought I could ever feel that way from an unscented lightly lathering cleanser. I am the type to like those scented and highly lathering type cleansers, but over the years my skin has become sensitive and irritated. I currenlty do use a prescription Retin-A Micro to control my acne. That could be why. I will be repurchasing this beautiful cleanser! I feel pampered! Thank you Paula!

Fabulous product!
I don't say this lightly - this is a miracle product! It removes every trace of make-up (including eye make-up) and leaves my skin smooth and soft. You only need to use a little bit, so it's very economical, too. A great product.

I chose this cleanser because my skin has a tendency to react to products that are supposed to help oily skin. My skin has a relatively normal texture for a twenty-something. My major problem has been sensitivity with texture changes, plus the occasional breakout. I chose to address the latter issue with a BHA gel, and by choosing the gel moisturizer for oily skin. This cleanser has addressed my skin's texture problems quite well. I could tell a difference the first day. My skin felt clean and smooth, without feeling greasy.

Is it just me or is the slimey?
I thought this would be lighter than the Skin Recovery Cleanser. It's not. The texture feels slimey on my face and leaves a residue. The "very-dry" rinses off better.

Now my sister has to have it!
Have used One Step norm/dry for about 3 years. Stopped for about 2 months to use a much more expensive product -- disaster! While visiting my sister she used it because it was in the shower. Now she has to have it because of the difference it made in just one week! Truly a great product.

Excellent cleanser that truly is one-step (I did the toner+cotton pad test after cleansing and true to its claim, there was no makeup left!). It cleanses efficiently but leaves skin luxuriously soft. It was still a tad bit drying for my rosacea-ridden skin, but I know it would be perfect for anyone without rosacea. Highly recommend!

This is a staple in my routine, for a year now. I have break out prone, sensitive skin that can be dry and oily depending on season and hormones, and I also work out a lot so my skin is put through the ringer. This is not too harsh, but cleans the dirt and buildup away. Sometimes if my skin becomes dry I just don't use in the morning and I even out.

Why didn't I start using this sooner???!!!
I've been using Paula's products for 7 years and it's only now I started using her cleanser. I guess it's because I liked other cleansers I could easily get in the drugstore. But recently I started having some issues with my skin (bad reaction to a sample I received of another skincare line). My face became so sensitive, my face would get irritated just from washing it. I bought several gentle cleansers from the store but none helped at all. I had some samples of this cleanser and figured I might as well give it a try. I was thrilled with how soothing it felt on my skin, yet how thoroughly it cleansed. After a week of using the samples, I knew I had to order it right away. Because it's been so cold lately, I've used it with a couple of drops of extra virgin olive oil and it works even better - for some reason, it makes the product lather more!! I sure wish I started using this years ago but I guess it's better late than never!!

Major Skin Improvement
This face cleanser is great. A tiny bit is all I need to get my makeup off and my face clean. I only need eye makeup remover when I use waterproof mascara since I don't want to rub my eyes too much. In combination with the whole line, my skin is silky, hydrated and blemish free.

Love This Cleanser with Skin Recovery Moisturizer
I can't tell you how thankful I am to Paula for making her products. I used to use the Skin Recovery Cleanser, but felt it was a little heavy for my skin. I now use the One Step Face Cleanser Normal to Dry Skin and the Skin Recovery Moisturizer and my skin has NEVER looked or felt better! I have the most sensitive dry skin and these two products are the best for me! Don't be afraid to mix and match her products in her different skin categories. I did and I couldn't be happier! I've used Cetaphil for 15 years and thought this was Paula's equivalent. I'm trying to stay away from parabens so I gave this a shot. I have combo skin and was suprised to find my face feeling so tight and uncomfortable with this product. I will have to try the Skin Recovery Cleanser next and hope for no breakouts.

Really Superb

Best Facial Cleanser I have ever used!
I have struggled with acne, combo skin, and uneven skintone my whole life. This product makes my skin feel awesome after I use it, washes all my makeup away (including eye), and doesn't dry me out. Holy Grail
I have Normal to Oily/Combination skin, but One Step Face Cleanser for Normal to Dry skin is one product that I refuse to be without. I adore the silky smooth milky texture, and the cleansing properties are unbelievable. I wear a lot of makeup, but this cleanser removes it all, including eye makeup, easily and thoroughly. In addition, there is no eye irritation whatsoever! My skin is left perfectly clean, perfectly smooth, and perfectly balanced.
