Won't live without it
Shaving often leaves me with red bumps under my arms, on my calves and on my bikini line. This product does what Paula says it does, reduces redness, helps eliminate red bumps, takes away itching. I will still get a few red bumps, but using this immediately after shaving and daily afterwards takes that away. Have not found anything else like it in the marketplace. Excellent product. Excellent!

Very soothing
I've had this product for awhile, but forgot about it. After starting retin-A, my skin needed some soothing. This treatment really does do just that. I put it on after cleansing and before other products. I also used it right after a chemical peel (after neutralizing and washing it off) and it felt Ah-Ma-ZING! It is a little oily and slippery (if you're expecting a toner-like texture), but I think it helps glide over battered skin easier and I don't mind the texture one bit, but I wouldn't use it daily.

Good stuff!
I purchased two samples of this product to try and love it. I have rosacea and have been trying to get it under control. I just started a new prescription face cream, which I had some sensitivity with. I ended up trying the Redness Relief Treatment to see if it gave me any relief. It did help with the redness and sensitive reaction I had. The only thing I really don't like is the texture of the treatment, it feels a little greasy. I am willing to overlook that if it works this well. I will definately be purchasing a bottle of in on my next order!

Not happy
First let me say that I am new to PC and I couldn't be happier overall. I purchased the ENTIRE resist line and it does what it says it will do. I actually bought this product for my husband AND myself. He has rosascea and I wanted something to minimize my pores. Customer service told me this product would work for both. Well, it is working for him after a couple of months, but is doing nothing to reduce pore size for me. Customer Care Response: Thank you for taking the time to review this product. Didn't know I need it!
As I am now firmly in middle age - I have stepped up my efforts to improve my skin - Retin A and Peels have amazing results but skin is sometimes irritated afterwards - thought I would see if these would soothe my skin and wow, instant relief! I have oily acne-prone skin and this has not made my skin breakout either. Going to try this summer on any bug bites that pop up - I wish I had discovered this sooner!

Careful if you have oily skin
I'm rating this product with a four because it didn't cause any irritation, which happens to me often when I apply toners. The ingredient list is simple and easy to understand. However, if you have oily skin, this will most likely not fully absorb. My skin looked a bit greasy after applying, and it did not absorb even after giving it a few minutes. It's a good thing the samples are so guilt-free. If you have combination-dryer skin, this might work better for you. Perfect!
I woke up one morning with puffy, red swollen eyelids. Probably irritated by rubbing or a product I'd used. I had just received a sample of Redness Relief and put a tiny amount on the affected areas. Instantly, it felt better. By morning, after wearing it all night, the problem had almost completely receded. I love this product, and will order a full size next.

very soothing
I have pale, sensitive skin with mild rosacea. I tried a few samples of this and just had to order it, as I found it very soothing. It really does relieve redness, as well as the "flushed" feeling I get coming in from the cold or from standing over a hot stove. I just shake a bit into my palms and use my fingers to apply it, because when my skin is feeling aggravated I don't like to drag a cotton pad over it. It's not a permanent solution but it is a helpful compliment to all my other wonderfully gentle, fragrance-free, irritant-free PC products.

Unexpected Relief for Chronic Skin Condition
I first tried the Skin Relief Treatment (now "Redness Relief Treatment") for ingrown hair problems from shaving, but had little success. However, during an outbreak of Dermatitis Herpetiformis -- an extremely itchy, chronic skin condition -- I thought I'd try the treatment and was ecstatic when my itching started to subside within minutes. I kid you not...this is one of the most intense itchy rashes known to mankind. I've received many topical prescriptions from physicians throughout the past 10 years and nothing has worked as quickly and as well as this product. I'll be miserable if this product is ever taken off the list!

Didn't work for me
Redness Relief Treatment was one of many PC products I purchased recently - I'm a huge fan of PC! I wanted to give this treatment a try for my redness on my cheeks; however, I didn't like the texture of it as it is sticky even I let it sit for a while on my skin. I tried it for a couple of weeks now, but my redness aren't gone, and I don't seem any improvement. I prefer RESIST toner over this product. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. Great as an aftershave
My husband likes this product as an aftershave (which I gave to him only after it did nothing to reduce redness of my skin). I have thought of using it in place of a toner, but the bottle labels the product as a treatment, and treatment comes after toning and exfoliating. Does that make any difference or can it just be used as both a treatment and a toner? Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. Good toner alternative
I decided to give this a try, as I was having some redness and irritation on my cheeks from the use of as retinol product. I haven't actually decided if it did anything for the redness and irritation, and I'm not able to use it close to the eyes, or I wake up with irritated eyes, but it works OK as a toner. I should also note that it has a strong smell reminiscent of vinegar or acetic acid, so if you are bothered by this smell, you probably won't like this product. I probably will not be repurchasing as I prefer the Skin Recovery Toner, but I had no major complaints with this product. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your comments. It Works!
I, too, have used the Skin Relief as a toner and liked it. Recently though, I had a very bad cold. My nose was raw and red from constant sneezing and blowing. After just one application at night, the redness and dry skin was gone by the next morning. I couldn't believe it! In the past, I had tried creams and lotions but nothing worked this fast.

My dog recently had her belly shaved for an ultrasound and since then she's been scratching her tummy. I tried numerous OTC itch relief creams, as well as a prescription spray, to no avail. This morning a light bulb went on and I remembered Paula's Redness Relief Treatment. I applied it to my pooch's belly and she hasn't scratched since. FANTASTIC
I am a guy with very thick and course facial hair and I have been looking for something to calm down razor burn for many years. I have only used this once but it has made a tremendous difference already! I cant believe that I can touch my neck right now without any stinging pain! I had just started using a properly formulated BHA product to combat razor burn and it helped alot, but I definitely notice a bigger difference using this with the BHA product. I love this soooooo much and I never want to be without it! Oh, I also love that this has vitamin c in it, because my skin just cant get enough vitamin c. I also used it as a toner and my mild redness was reduced as well. I will say that it does have a mild vinegar scent but it dissipates quickly and it is not that strong to begin with so it does not bother me in the least. If you cant tell by my glowing review I recommend this and rate it highly. A definite repurchase!

Alright but not the best
I got this for my bikini line where I'm prone to ingrowns and razor burn. While it is more effective than using nothing at all, I find that my Tendskin solution, which is alcohol based, works a lot better. Also, the smell is really unpleasant. That being said, this is probably a great option for those with sensitive skin or people who are sensitive to alcohol, because it is very gentle and soothing. Not sure of the purpose...
I have reently started waxing my bikini line, so I contacted customer service to see what they recommended to help prevent ingrown hairs. I was encouraged to try this product. After reading all of the reviews, I decided to give it a shot since a lot of people seemed to get great results. I don't happen to be one of those people. Actually, I have had the the complete opposite experience. It did not burn after I applied it after my waxing treatment, which I thought was a good thing. I applied it twice a day, after showering, everyday. And yet I still got ingrown hairs! So I have been using my 2% BHA liquid to clear the ingrown hairs up. While they heal, I have been using this product on the back of my thighs where I tend to get razor burn. Again, it didn't burn when applying directly after shaving, but again, did nothing to make the red razor bumps go away, or preven them from developing. Love it - won't go without
I use the PMD brand home micro-dermabrasion system (absolutely love it) and immediately afterward rinse with cool water and follow with Paula's choice redness relief. Ahhh - skin feels and looks so smooth and soft and fresh.
I am in my mid 50's with combination skin that is in good shape for my age (I am told :-) and have no problems with burning or dryness from using the system. I love the results. Using Redness Relief afterwards really helps.
I also use it if I have any other skin irritation and it always work for me.
I also use Paula's choice BHA's at night and another brand's AHA in the AM, as I wanted a higher percent than Paula offers. Sorry Paula - I did start off with you though - you started me on the right path! Thank you.

I have been very happy with most of Paula's products. I have a tendency to have annoying redness all over my skin, all year long and was hoping this could help with it. Does anyone else notice a harsh vinegar scent to it? It's bizarre. Also my skin has been very tingly, in a painful way after using this. That is very disappointing for a product that is supposed to be very calming on the skin. I'm not sure if I should keep using and maybe it will get better or try something different? Works to a certain degree
I use this after shaving and it does a great job in preventing shaving bumps and other skin irritations that usually come after I shave. It keeps my skin really soft and suprisingly moisturized after I use it. I also used this on my face as a toner because I suffer from some redness from blemishes and I was hoping this would help but it didn't really do anything to help reduce the redness. So, I'd recommend it most for use to prevent shaving bumps as such but not so much for redness relief. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. Love this for redness and overall skin relief
One of my favorite Paula's Choice products and I will definitely be re-purchasing this when I run out. I have a significant amount of redness that is hereditary and from some harsh anti-acne products that I have used in the past. Although this hasn't resolved any redness issues, it's great for relieving skin irritation. It is really calming, and I use it frequently in place of a toner.

best all around skin conditioner ever
I am not crazy about a lot of Paula's products but there a few that are outstanding and this is one of them!!!!! This product clears all stubborn bumps/acne and even helps with uneven skin tone and is slightly moisturizing. I have extremely sensitive skin and will get little 'irritation' bumps even from using a washcloth...This is the only thing that actually helps. It has salicylic acid (aspirin), vitamin C, and calming extracts of Camellia (green tea). It has a liquid consistency which is great. You can rub a little on wherever you need it and apply moisturizer or sunscreen on top without feeling 'gooped up.' It really is a fantastic product that keeps your skin clear and calm.

I tried Paula's Rosacea treatment without success, but tried a sample of this since I also have atopic dermatitis. It was amazing!!! On the advice of one of Paula's experts, I started using it daily as my toner. It has worked great! My dermo. couldn't believe the improvement.

Daily Crutch
Love this! It is now my official face toner! Nothing beats it for keeping my skin calm and refreshed. Great the next morning after using Retin-A or other exfolients. This has a good amount of Vitamin C in it as well which is a great way of getting extra C into your routine.

Ahhhh!
I wax my upper lip every month and for 2 days afterward my skin would be inflamed and 2-3 zits would pop up. I tried "soothing" creams and first aid remedies but those didn't help. I tried this and could tell immediately it was working to calm the irritation but was amazed the next morning to see no signs of trauma. At all. None. Whatsoever. I bought it to treat my itchy spells, and it's wonderful for that but it's officially invaluable now.

Best Multi-Purpose Product Ever!
Skin Relief Treatment is one of my favorite PC products! I've used it on bug bites, rashes and irritation, razorburn, inflamed acne, and even on my feet if they've gotten chaffed from uncomfortable shoes! It's also one of the only skincare products my boyfriend asks for when we run out. Love this stuff; wish it came in a bigger bottle (or smaller for travel since the sample packets are not re-sealable).

Perfect after facials
I'm approaching 50 with sensitive combination skin, lots of fine lines and occasional breakouts (a lot less thanks to Accutane). I get facials by an aesthetician every couple months which incl. extractions, microdermabasion, and a light chemical peel. I also do them myself at home with using a simple mud mask. I've used this product for several years - always with great results! It soothes my sensitive skin, reduces the redness and dryness, and leaves it feeling very soft. I purchase sample packets because I only need a small amount each time and the product seems "fresher" this way. I do wish, however, that Paula's Choice could offer this in a travel size, something in between the sample packet size and larger 4 oz bottle. In fact, I wish she could offer all her products in TSA approved travel sizes - 3.4 oz.

Wonderful for after shaving
I love to use this product for after shaving. It prevents and treats razor burn and ingrown hairs. It's like a miracle product! It works immediately. I like this more than the Weightless Body Treatment. The texture of this is a liquid. I put a little bit on my hands and apply where needed. It absorbs very well.

bought this in case of sunburns. well, my husband & I spent too much time in the sun golfing & both of us got abit sunburnt on arms & chest. when I 1st applied, I was disappointed in the texture. I wished it wasn't so runny. yet, it did soak in rather nicely. I was hooked the next morning! we had NO pink or redness to speak of! the stuff is amazing! came back to buy another back-up bottle. it really works well! & you don't need to use a whole lot.

Relieves itching
I purchased Skin Relief for one main reason. I occasionally would get a bad case of itching above my knees and arms; to the point where only very hot water would relieve the itching. Since I've been on a new medication, I've experienced this itching more frequently. Skin Relief takes the itching away almost immediately. Haven't even tried it on the red areas yet on my face. Relieving the horrible itching I get is worth purchasing Skin Relief alone. I do agree that the bottle is to small, so I will be purchasing another one as a backup.

AMAZING
I have always had a horrible time with shaving the bikini area, i.e. red bumps, ingrown hairs, itchiness.... But after putting on this skin relief treatment after I shave... ZERO PROBLEMS!!!! The Best Toner!
This is a great toner for sensitive skin. It gives skin a good dose of vitamin c and calms the skin at the same time! I love how this has reduced the redness of a deep facial scar I have. Nothing else was working to eliminate it until I added this and an antioxidant serum to my skin care routine. Wow...finally some results! This product makes my skin feel fabulous without feeling greasy...it absorbs super fast and works well under other products. Great addition to any skin care routine!

Terrific for MANY uses
This is the best available product for what it's intended, hands down (I've tried tons). But I also found a novel use that has saved my life/my sleep! I use it (and will start putting some in a spray bottle for easier application) on my right arm and right hip & now I don't get pressure-related pain from lying on my right side (which kept me from sleeping). A FIX FOR CHRONIC PROBLEMS
I am a redhead and have light skin with redness problems. But; had cervical spine surgery, awhich left a 2 inch scar on the front of my neck-but also came home with 2-4inch red blotches on each side of the throat from tape used. I was assured by the Dr. this would go away, well 2 years later and it is still there?? So I ordered this prod after reading the reviews and loving all of Paula's prods. After 2 weeks- there is a faint pinkness and my regular powder covers it easily. no more consealer!! I can't say enough about this. I also have used on some red scaley places that are identical to 2 pre-cancerous lesions I had Dr. remove. Wanted to try something else because of the bad scarring from previous removal. this lotion has taken all the redness and itchiness, and they are all but gone. I love Paula's choice and will be a loyal customer.

Excellent, but needs to be in a lotion
Personally, I love this, especially after waxing, shaving or sunburns! My boyfriend has really sensitive skin and could benefit from it, but would like to request that it be available in a cream or lotion form for easier application, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Not bad at all...
I bought this mostly to use after hair removal on my upper lip and chin and eyebrows. I'm not sure what to say about it... it didn't make post-hair-removal redness any worse, but I didn't notice any fantastic redness-relief. It wasn't as soothing on initial application as I had hoped, but it did seem to lessen post-hair-removal breakouts, and that's a plus, since after facial hair removal I do tend to break out a bit. I ordered it in the sample size, and will continue to see if it makes a difference with the samples I have left. I do love the science and the thought that Paula put into creating and explaining this product, though!

Very pleasantly surprised!
I got samples of the Skin Relief Treatment with my last order, and I'm very impressed with the way it works on my bikini line after shaving. No matter what I did, that area would get so irritated after shaving, and using products like Bikini Zone didn't help. I am amazed that Paula's product works so well. No more red bumps! FABULOUS!
This product is exceptional! I have extremely sensitive skin that is prone to reaction from anything. Trying to find products that will not cause breakouts but also will not dry my skin is very difficult for me (and possible only due to Paula's products and reviews). I occasionally get irritation under my arms or after shaving. I rub in a little of this lotion into my calves or underarms right after getting out of the shower, feel a little tingle, and never see a bit of redness or bumps develop. This is a wonderful product.

so i got horribly burned by over doing my 40% lactic acid peel dosage by 4x. i know, very dumb. and my skin felt horrible. like if it were on the verge of breaking. similar to when you go to the beach with out sunblock and is really hot. and wow, i JUST applied the skin relief from one of the samples i got months ago and it really works, like on the dot. i applied it and right on the spot, BAMN! my pain was allaying. thank you so much paula! seriously, my face was burning for 3 hours until i remembered i had these samples.

I used to use Linda Sy's products, which worked only for prevention at best (plus they're $$). The first time I put this lotion on, my inflamed skin stopped itching and stinging! I couldn't believe it. I've been looking for something like this for years. Just something to put on when my face is angry red and inflamed and flaking. It works beautifully. Just from using the samples for a couple of days, my skin completely cleared for the first time since I developed rosacea.

Best Aftershave Ever!
I have sensitive skin and am prone to break outs on my neck after shaving. I have probably tried every aftershave, liquid, gel, cream, and lotion available, and none works like Paula's Skin relief. It soothes my skin quickly and nearly elimnates break outs. I won't shave without it.

Works great as a toner
I use this product every morning, but not at night. The reduction in inflammation I've see with this product are noticeable. It gives my skin a slight sheen with comfortable slick feel, which I top with skin relief antioxidant serum, skin recovery cream, and hydrating mask (used as a cream). At night, I'll use benzoyl peroxide. At 37, my skin is one of my best features. I credit finding Paula in my very early 20's and teaching me how to care for my thin, pale, dry skin.

Great post laser treatment
I used to get terrible ingrown hairs after laser hair removal. I use Skin Relief 2x a day after laser treatments and the irritation is greatly reduced. Love this product!

What an amazing product!! I have been using Paula's Choice products for 10 or 11 years and love the results. This particular product cleared up the burning, red, dry, itchy, and flaky skin on my bottom eye lids due from allergies. I also had those type of patches on my face which was also only cleared up by the skin relief treatment. I can never be without this product. It's amazing!!!

Best After Shave Product
I get really bad razor burn especially during the summer when you're shaving your legs and underarms often. I used to put whitc hazel after shaving and that just burned! This actually soothes and moisturizes after shaving. I love it and I use it every day!

I recently purchased the Skin Relief Treatment. I absolutely love it! I have very fair skin and suffer from redness at the least little sign of stress. If I pluck my eyebrows, that area stays red for a long time. Using this product, the redness is gone within 10 minutes! Also, I have some minor acne.
