great moisturizer
This is a good moisturizer for my normal skin. It moisturizes well without being overly emollient, and it works well under makeup. My skin looks better than ever after using this along with other PC products for the past few months. I use this along with the RESIST super antioxidant serum all over my face, including under my eyes, and it has eliminated my need for expensive eye creams, just as Paula advises.

Definitely a thumbs up!
I don't normally use a moisturizer because my skin is sensitive and can break out easily. My skin has been getting so much drier though, so I thought I'd give this one a try. It's fabulous! It's not greasy, soaks in easily and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. I couldn't use the toner in this line, but this moisturizer is amazing.

Love the product, loathe the packaging
I've bought two bottles of this moisturizer and love the texture for my oily-acne prone, aging skin. Unfortunately, the pump stops working long before the product is gone and because of the bottle's construction you can't remove the remaining product. I've got a significant amount of wonderful moisturizer I can't use because the pump won't work. :( Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. Good in theory
It seems like this product would be exactly what I would need based on what it is supposed to do, but I honestly haven't noticed any difference when using it and it doesn't seem to prevent breakouts. I also don't like the residue this leaves on my skin, seems to give it a weird sticky feeling. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your comments. This stuff is the bees knees!!
I bought this product for the first time a few months ago and was a little leery that it would actually make a difference in my skin... I have super oily skin and break out regularly and nothing had really done much for me, but after a couple weeks of using the Hydrator my skin was almost perfectly clear and I had little to no redness! I love this stuff and would definitely recommend it to anyone dealing with oily skin and scars/redness caused by acne!

LOVE the product, but HATE the bottle!
This lotion is absolutely amazing and I love it, but the bottle shape has given me lots of problems. I only used it twice before it toppled off my vanity and broke open on the floor. I fixed it with electrical tape, but the bottle continues to topple off on to the floor. It seems top-heavy, so I wish it were designed differently. But the lotion is fabulous, and as a 37 year old with acne, I'm so glad to find an acne-fighting retinol! LOVE!
This is currently my favorite PC product. Although I haven't noticed any fading of redness/discolorations, I just love love the way it feels on my face. I highly recommend. PS. my skin is on the dry side, but can get oily in the t-zone in the summer months. Thank you Paula for another FAB product!

Disappointing
I'm 39 and have normal to oily skin, so I decided to try the RESIST Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator. It's nothing like Paula's other products, all of which have been winners. This has a weird texture and an unpleasant smell, and I still feel like I need more moisturizer a few minutes after using it (2 squirts with the RESIST Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum mixed in). Before this, I was using the RESIST Barrier Repair Moisturizer with Retinol, which is dreamy. I actually couldn't wait to wash my face with that, but now I kind of dread putting this on my face. I'm giving it a 2 because my pores do look smaller, but I can do that with more faithful BHA use. I strongly recommend getting a sample of this before buying because it's not for everyone. I so wanted this product to work for me. Unfortunately, ever since I bought it I could use only several times because after every time I use it I break out right on the next day. Pretty good.
I bought this primarily to help reduce acne marks, because my skin stays red for so long after the active acne is gone. After using this nightly for about six weeks, I do think it works - my red marks seem less inflamed each morning after use, and also gradually over time. The moisture is very light - I don't usually use moisturizer at night, so this has been new for me. I get a bit oily around the nose in the mornings after use, but I think that's just my skin. All in all, a solid product. I wouldn't call it a miracle worked, but slow and steadily doing the trick.

Watch out for silicones
I was very excited to try this product. I liked the texture and the fact that it dried down matte on my skin, but this contains plenty of silicones in it that broke out my skin and clogged my pores. I felt like the product was working to reduce red marks and hydrate my skin, but it was at much too high a cost. I had to quit using it. Good product, but not for me
I was excited to try this product, for its moisturizing and red mark fading properties. Unfortunately, it seems to irritate my skin, and I experienced a burning sensation and redness whenever I used it. I think I will have to stop using it. Great, but didn't work for me
On paper this seems like a perfect product for me. I love everything about it, the ingredients, the smell, etc. Unfortunately, my skin (which is very sensitive) broke out in little bumps all over, under the surface of my skin. I had the same reaction from the Resist Cellular Defense moisturizer with SPF. What works for my particular skin is the Barrier Repair moisturizer. I'm writing this in case anyone else has the same problem, so they won't be afraid to try the other product. Great Texture & Hydration
I use the Skin Recovery line and find that this moisturizer is terrific to layer over the 1% BHA lotion during the day or evening. It's the perfect balance of hydration and silkiness with no greasy afterfeel. I've noticed a reduction in redmarks and old blemish marks and the product hydrates without clogging pores or causing breakouts. Another winner for Paula and her team!

Reduces acne redness marks
It really works. It does reduce redness caused by breakouts. Although I still have acne scars which are slowly fading, I don't have red marks anymore. Really great for acne-prone skin. My only complaint is that it tends to roll up so I only use it on evenings.

I Love This Hydrator
I use this Resist product after I tone and use my BHA 2% exfoliator. This product just soaks in on contact, no greasy or after feel just pure hydration. You can see and feel your skin gulp it in. lol so nongreasy, definently a plus for us peeps with oily skin! YAY Paula and Team!

Amazing!
I use this in conjunction with the 2% BHA gel. It has made my skin so much smoother and clearer than it has been in ages. I've used it for a month or two, and still touch my face and think "wow!". Good for oily skin (which I have). Just perfect!

Sadly, not for me
I have been using the Clear line for almost 6 months now with beautiful results. I began to notice fine lines around my eyes and mouth and thought that this would be the perfect fix. Unfortunately all this did was cause me to break out with cystic pimples. I understand that everything doesn't always work for everyone (and I have highly sensitive skin) but I was very disappointed. I have been very happy with Paula's Choice resist line. Im 34 and have adult acne. The resist line is amazing at speeding up the healing process. This product made my acne worse. Great for my oily skin
It's not an advertised perk, but whenever I use this, I notice a mattifying effect on my skin. I hate the feel of primer and like that I can use this in lieu of one. My makeup stays on longer and it takes longer for my face to become an oil ball (which is the best I can hope for with my skin). It feels good, isn't greasy, and makes my skin look better with or without makeup.

Great night time moisturiser
It leaves my sensitive combination skin hydrated and hasn't given me any allergic reactions which it is prone to. However it will leave a shiny film on my nose. I like the packaging of this product as I can take it on airlines however my skin did get nipped by the sides of the pump circle a few times. Overall, it's a good moisturiser. Let me first say that I love all Paula's products. Being 56 years old and, even though I know better, I'm still looking for that product that will give me 10 more years of a more youthful skin, so I do stray but always end up coming back to Paula's products. My 19 year old son is using the entire line as well.
Actually product gets a 4.9999 rating but am not giving a 5 because of the pump containers. While I understand the pump containers and they make sense for these reasons - protects the product and dispenses proper dosages, they don't consistently work and you end up opening the container to get product out (very hard to get product out of these containers) - very frustrating. Also, very hard to tell when your running out of product until your out completely. This is not an exclusive problem with Paula's containers; this happens with all products in this type pump containers that I've used. Might be best to put in a pump tube like the sunscreen or squeeze tube like the Resist Antioxidant Serum until container manufacturer can rework the pump. Thanks for listening. My skin looks amazing!
I'm very surprised at the less than positive reviews. I'm 42 years old and I have combination skin. I have struggled with blackheads and breakouts most of my life. Well, no more. I've been using this for the last couple of months and my skin glows. Oh, it's still oily in places but the blackheads only occur occasionally these days and I can't remember the last time I had a pimple. I use this lotion at night along with Clearly Remarkable Skin. Lightening Gel. It's great! I'm ordering it again.

Stellar Product, Product Packaging
As with all the products in the Resist line, the formulation is stellar. It is a light moisturizer perfect for my oily skin, very calming.
I gave it a less than perfect rating because the packaging is faulty. Two bottles both had internal pumps that broke leaving a large amount of unattainable product in the bottle. Ok but not hydrating
This is an ok serum for oily skin but did not provide any hydration. I didn't have any reactions which is good but also saw no change either. I like the Bha lotion much better. Unfavorable Reaction
I purchased the full sized product at the advice of the customer service rep because I have dry skin with breakouts and needed a nighttime moisturizer. I wished I had gotten a sample first because then I wouldnt have to deal with a return but the rep encouraged me to get the full size one. After the first night I woke the next morn with a tight face but tried it 2 more nights anyhow. By the third night my face felt chapped and sunburned. This is the first Paulas Choice product I have reacted to and I have sensitive skin. Customer service is helpful! but this one doesnt work for me.. back to the drawing board for a nighttime moisturizer. WOuld love advice. Added bonus - reduces blackheads
Of all Paula's products I've tried, this is the all-around for oily, blackhead-prone 53-year-old skin. It has faded red marks from acne over several months use. And it seems to reduce blackheads! I've tried BHAs and other products but none seem to work as well as this. I've gone almost three months without needing to schedule a facial for extractions. People also seem to think I'm way younger than 53; could it be Paula's Choice products?

I am still giving this 5 stars because I feel that the contents of the bottle are that good. I thought I was out of product and took the cap off to check, only to find that there was a substantial amount left. Only it was almost impossible to get it out. As far as performance goes, my skin really cleared up while I was using this product and I'm not sure if it was due to this product alone or my combination of Paula's Choice products (CLEAR line, with this as the moisturizer). I haven't been free of cysts in YEARS and now I finally am. My spots are starting to fade and I have hope that I can enjoy the rest of my 30s with nice skin. great product...but not for me
I have been using the hydrator along with BHA for 4 months and my skin has greatly improved except more breakouts occurring. I alternated using each product by itself and my skin completely cleared when not using the hydrator. The hydrator is a great moisturizer and does work well under make up. Not for hyper-sensitive skin
This product felt FANTASTIC going on. I live in Colorado, so I always feel a little dry and for once, I went to bed with a lusciously soft, quenched face. Unfortunately, keeping all other things constant in the routine, within 2 days of using the clear skin hydrator, I broke out with the pimples that are a usual reaction to anything beyond Paula's sensitive skin products. Make my skin flake
The texture is divine very smooth and dry matte but it isn't sufficiently moisturize my skin like the Skin balancing moisture gel did. When i switch the this one my skin become dried and flake so go back to my old balancing moisture gel it's perfect already.

Great Moisturizer
I have tried what feels like hundreds of moisturizers over time, and this is the best one I have found. I was skeptical at first, as I didn't like the smell and it didn't seem to do much of anything for my skin; however, after using a couple of weeks, I came to love it. I got over the smell pretty easily (it isn't strong) and over time, this moisturizer helped my skin's texture become even and smooth. It moisturizers without feeling oily and have not had any breakouts. I just ran out of my first bottle and am ordering a second. Great stuff! My skin is oily/acne prone and I am one year post Accutane.

So far so good
I've only been using this about a week but am pleased so far. When I got it I was dealing with a stubborn, partially healed cystic breakout on my chin that just wouldn't go away and was showing signs of scarring. I know it's not acne medicine, but after cleansing and toning with the Resist toner, I use this on the triangle zone that includes my nose and chin area. I let it set a minute or so, then follow with Resist serum on the rest of my face. I do this day and night and in less than a week I see a great difference in skin texture. The red scars are going away rapidly and I'm not seeing any new ones--wait till next month, though!

Really wanted this to perform as indicated, but have tried it multiple times (both ordering a full-size and recently trying it in a sample size) and I get painful, cystic like bumps on my face. I'm not changing any other part of my routine, so I know that it's this product. I've returned the full-size product. Boy I really wish this would have worked and cannot figure out what ingredient is causing the blemishes. I have sensitive skin w/rosacea but am typically blemish-free. Wanted to love this but...
I am a long-time, normally very satisfied customer who uses many of Paula's products. In the two days of applying this product, I loved the way my skin looked and felt; however, after about the third day I noticed terrible whiteheads and then blemishes. It simply irritates and clogs my skin for some reason. I will stick with the Barrier Repair Moisturizer. would like to try it again....
I tried this once already and am having mixed reviews..on the one hand, it made my red cheeks look not red, which was nice, but seemed like it causes weird little bumps in places I don't normally get them. I would like to try it again to see if I get the same reaction as sometimes my skin is finicky. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. Didn't work for me

Love this product!!
I have what I consider a challenging skin type-- oily and aging. This moisturizer makes my skin look fabulous and doesn't cause breakouts or greasiness. Thank you, Paula!!! My Favorite Paula's Product!!!
I never thought my acne-prone combination skin could look as great as when I took Paula's advice years ago and started using BHA's. I was so wrong! Within 3-4 days of starting this product, my skin was much softer, my pores appeared smaller, and it even worked on my very dry, flaky areas (under a moisturizer)--even during a Minnesota winter! It now has been close to 3-4 weeks using this product, and my skin coloration is more even and the little "bumps" I had on my skin due to sun damage are almost gone! Absolute winner! RESIST Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator
I love this product. I am 63 and had dry flaky skin with rosacea and occasional breakouts. This product has made my skin look healthy, no dry patches and it is losing its redness. I don't want to be without it.

Amazing difference in my oily skin!
Wow - what a difference this product has made in my oil, breakout-prone skin. I recently started using it a couple of months ago & have noticed that (1) my skin isn't nearly as oily without is (I never used a moisturizer before this because of my oiliness), and (2) my skin looks younger & clearer. This is another home-run product by Paula!

LIKE IT!
I was hesitant to try this given the reviews about stinging as several other PC products make my skin red nearly immediately. I ordered samples hoping for the best. So far so good. I love that this can be used as moisturizer. I use this instead of a serum at night and my skin looks better and less red. I received this as a sample and will definitely be purchasing. By poking a tiny hole with a pin at the top of the packet I was able to get about 3 - 4 days worth of product. Although that doesn't seem like much time to tell any difference in fine lines, etc., I can tell you that this is an amazing product, simply because it doesn't break me out, it absorbs well into my skin, and gives a beautiful finish under my makeup. I absolutely love the texture. It's not quite a lotion and not quite a gel; maybe a serum texture? Whatever it is I love it! I was able to use much less makeup because this moisturizer helped it just glide right onto my skin. No residue to make my makeup look cakey or shiny. Sending samples is a great marketing tool - send more!!

I LOVE this product! I have combination normal/oily skin, and most moisturizers are too much. This one goes on silky, absorbs quickly, and my skin feels and looks fantastic! The only reason I did not give this product 5 stars is the pump did not work (pumped it over 200 times.) But the fabulous customer service dept is sending me another. How great is that??

Best moisturizer in a long time
I have reserved my review for quite some time, just to make sure that this product does what it does. I have already repurchased this product 5 times and I will keep repurchasing. It is absolutely incredible! It has improved my complexion drastically. I used to have some very fine lines all over my face, but this has gradually helped to plump up my skin to make it appear more smooth. It has also helped, to some degree, with blemishes, though I don't think this product alone is enough to tackle that issue. Regardless, the texture is amazing and the finish is very matte. It spreads very easily and doesn't smell bad. The only thing I would change about it is the packaging - I don't really like that the dispenser is out in the open like that. It has the potential to collect germs and dust without a cap to cover it, so I have to clean it with rubbing alcohol every now and then. But aside from that, I love this product! I love this product for my acne, blackhead skin but I tried for several months and found I cannot use it around my eyes. Made them itchy. My skin is usually oily, and I have never loved a moisturizer as much as I love this one. When I wake up in the morning, my skin often feels greasy, regardless of whether I use a moisturizer or decide to not bother. Since using this moisturizer, I actually wake up with my face feeling fresh! When I do break out, which is less often these days, whatever marks appear do not stay there... my skin is kraft caramel coloured, so I would normally get BOTH the red marks and the everlasting dark pigment marks during and following a zit's appearance. Thanks to using this and the Paula's BHA hydroquinone at night, my face is looking much calmer, and much younger (I'm pushing 30, and a very recent friend told me that she thought I was a mature-sounding 17-year-old. Woohoo! Paula, do NOT discontinue this product!

I have the oddest and most sensitive skin there is. It's kind of dry but behaves like oily teenage skin and I'm 45! I need a moisturizer but everything I have tried breaks me out. My skintone is indeed brightened after 3 days of use. Then it has remained the same - I am now using the second bottle (half full already). Acne scars are still on my face; still have some ocassional new acne - it is not as effective as what it claims. But, it is a good light-weight moisturizer of my skin. I'm 43 and my skin is behaving like a 16yr old. I break out all the time. This truly has stopped all my hormonal breakouts and finally I can control the oil. Its not hydrating enough for the winter months, but it saved mr throughout the entire summer. Great product.

Love the texture
I got a sample of this and had to order the full size! This makes my skin feel so wonderful. The silky texture is wonderful! I just wish it had sunscreen so I wouldn't have to spoil the love by following up with sunscreen (which always seems to feel somewhat greasy) then powder (to counteract the sunscreen.)If I could just stop after applying this product I would -- my skin looks and feels great.

I emailed them asking to review a product from different manufecturer and they suggested me to try their product. 2 days later I received this Hydrator.
After a week of daily use I can rate it as excellent for my slightly oily-to-dry sencitive 51-yr old skin.
It absorbs without any residue, it gives very comfortable level of moisture, even the wrinkled areas around my eyes and lips look much smoother!
I already ordered more products from PC, and keep recommending her to my colleages and friends.

Wonderful product and excellent customer service
The first bottle I received of this had a wonky pump. I called and they offered to overnight me a new bottle. In the mean time, I took off the pump and have been able to use the product. It has worked so well on my awful combination skin. My friends and family have noticed a huge difference in my skin and that's after only 1 week. When I did receive the second package, the representative had accidentally sent me the hydrator instead. I called back and offered to send it back to them. They said to keep it and try it or give it to a friend or local charity! They're now sending me another bottle of the hydrator 2nd day. These are absolutely the best products and coupled with the very best customer service out there!

I was disappointed at how soon this product ran out. I used the recommended amount but found it ran out after 4-5 weeks. This makes it quite an expensive product. More than I can afford!

I used this product every 2nd or 3rd night only and worked well. Then started using it every night. After 3 nights in a row, when I put it on my skin turned bright red and felt sunburned. I initially gave this product a 5-star review, which I still believe it deserves in many ways. However, I was only using the product at night. For daytime use, this product makes makeup application difficult and causes my sunscreen (Paula's Choice SPF 45) to pill and flake. Still great for night-time use! Better Than I Expected
After reading so much about Paula's products, I finally broke down and bought this hydrator. The first time I used it (dispensing 1-2 pumps as directed), I thought it wasn't very moisturizing; it's also a different texture than other moisturizers I've used. Very silky and smooth. So, I wasn't initially crazy about it. I've continued using it, using a bit more than directed, and have grown to love it. I've noticed a positive difference in my complexion and I think it has helped with my t-zone oiliness. I am acne prone and this has not caused any breakouts. Redness has faded. It's great that it can also be used around the eye area. However, there are times when it seems to interfere with make-up (foundation) application.

Pretty Good!
So, after reading all the five-star reviews on this product, I decided to give it a try. I had some pretty bad acne scars from breakouts caused by abruptly getting off the pill, and I was hoping that this cream would help fade those. I know a lot of people said that they immediately started to see results, but it took a little longer for me, perhaps because I only apply it at night. I have been using this cream consistently for about a month and a half, and have seen noticeable fading of my scars. My skin, overall, also looks healthier. I am pleased with these results and will continue to use this product.

Honestly, almost every moisturizer I've tried (drugstore and luxury) has 1) broken me out or 2) made me greasy and oily. This hydrator not only keeps me matte, but doesn't break me out! Awesome product.

I had read good reviews about this product on here and MUAC, and couldn't wait to try this for my acne pigmentation and active acne. It's only been a few days and I'm hooked. It's already starting to have a fading effect on the red marks, and it's made my skin less oily, and seems to tighten the pores. I've heard good things about topical niacinamide and acne, and so glad Paula has made a product that includes it. I do find that it's not quite moisturizing enough now that the colder air is here, but I'll just add some extra moisturizer on top if necessary. I plan on using this product 2x every day. I cannot wait to see how my skin looks weeks from now. Keep making this!!

Best moisturizer ever
I've been purchasing Paula's products for years now and have been overall very satisfied with my purchases. This new moisturizer beats anything I have used to far. I am close to 60 with combination skin, hyper pigmentation, mild rosacea, some broken capillaries and tiny scars from plugging facial hair. After using the samples received with my last purchases, I saw almost immediate improvements. The redness is subsiding and my skin feels and looks healthier, moist and soft. I now use Resist Clear Skin Hydrator in the morning (followed by Skin Recovery SPF 15 and a drop of Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant Serum around my eyes) and at night (followed by Resist Antioxidant Serum). Additionally, I use a smidgen of Skin Recovery Moisturizer around my eyes. I have not been happier with my skin in years! Today I left my house for the first time in years without wearing foundation or tinted moisturizer and I looked good enough to repeat this make-up free day! My face and my wallet thank you for this and all your other outstanding products !

It has taken ages to find the perfect moisturizer for my combo/acne prone skin. I have been alternating use of the Clear 2%BHA extra strength toner in the evenings and the 2%BHA lotion in the evenings. Skin is dewy
I am 51 years old and menopausal. I have oily skin and am struggling with acne, skin discoloration from too much sun and hyperpigmentation. I am not someone who has ever been known for having great skin. After using this product for two days, I called my sisters and all of my friends to tell them to RUN to purchase this product. My acne is just about gone. The best part is that my skin is dewy and shiny - not because it is slick with oil, but because it looks fresh and plump and healthy. I am almost to the point of going makeup free except for two hyperpigmentation spots on my chin. All of the rest have faded. My husband keeps coming up and touching my cheeks! LOVE this product, Paula. It is pure genius and I will not ever be without it.

Not for my skin
I was very excited to try this product. I have used Paula's Choice for 5 years and I love what she has done for my skin. Unfortunately did not have great results with The Resist Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator. It left my skin feeling tight (I have combination skin). I also found the product rolled or balled when I tried to put on my sunscreen and make-up no matter how long I let the product set. Not a good option for my skin. I will stick with the hydralight moisture infusing lotion. Thanks Paula for creating such great skincare options!

The Resist Clear Skin Hydrator (along with the 2% BHA liquid) has transformed by skin! I recently stopped taking hormonal birth control pills and my skin went crazy, producing tons of oil and breaking out all over. Nothing I tried worked until I started using this moisturizer in the morning, and the 2% BHA liquid at night. Now my skin is clear and glowing. I cannot say enough good things about this product! It absorbs really quickly and feels silky. I also have the regular Resist Hydrator but this one is so much better for my oily skin.

The dream my skin's been waiting for . . .
Impressive hydrator! I'm 44 and have oily skin that still gets acne and scars if you look at it wrong. This is the hydrator I've been looking for. It relieves those small dry patches and also give overall hydration, but in a small dose that doesn't make my skin feel oily (the test is that my foundation stays put instead of dissolving). Plus, it does seem to help lighten my acne scars and not add to the breakouts. Fabulous, thank you Paul's Choice!

Superior Moisturizer
Even some of the other moisturizers offered here have made my 62-yr-old normal, light olive skin break out a bit. NOT this one! Leaves a fabulous matt finish, but my skin is fully hydrated. I alternate it with the regular Resist Moisturizer, which I use at night with the serum. I use the complete Resist System for about 4 months and have never been happier; just yesterday, the Jane Iredale rep at the cosmetics counter asked me what color foundation I use; I don't use foundation! I won't be renewing my prescription for Retin-A micro; the Resist System has dramatically changed my complexion.

So far I have really enjoyed using the products in the Resist line, and this is no exception. Although for the first few applications it made my skin flushed for a little while (I have very sensitive skin), by morning my skin looks great and the flushing has gone away over time. Highly recommended product if you have normal to oily skin that's both breakout prone and showing signs of aging - it's really lightweight yet moisturizing.

I prefer how my face feels with the skin balancing gel looks(product) and feels on my skin than this. The orangish tint is kind ofa turn off but if its doing its job I dont mind. Its slightly more moisturizing than the gel also, and my son says it works better than the gel as an after shave gel. I will give my bottle to my son, and buy this until the winter when I am slightly drier from my skin. My son and I appreciate the anti acne ingredients though. Overall, well done Paula and her development team!

How could I resist?
The write-up to this product sounded perfect and it is! This is a medium-weight cream-gel which is soothing and repairing my blemished / reddened skin. Why do Paula's recent additions to the line just get better and better?? This product is a MUST for those of us battling acne and aging. It especially soothes the drying effects of applying benzoyl peroxide-based products. You will not be disappointed!!

Best anti-redness !
I've waited for more than one month to leave a feedback though I saw improvements of my skin within days. This is simply the most incredible skincare product I've ever used, it has amazing abilities to fight redness and irritation (I agree with Dustin, it's simply the best soothing product to use after shaving). This is definitely not a cream-gel (this description matches better the RESIST Barrier Repair Moisturizer) but a lightweight cream. It intensely moisturizes my oily & dehydrated skin without any greasy afterfeel, my skin has a satin finish and is so soft/silky (just like clean healthy skin). It even has allowed me to use again some products I discarted because of bad reactions (dryness and parched skin from the 2% BHA Liquid, burning sensation and redness from the HYDRALIGHT Toner). Really worth the price in every aspect. I will never stop using it, I'm in love :-D

Great for Oily Skin!
After using this product for about a week, one Saturday morning I woke up and my husband said, "Did you go to sleep with your makeup on?" Of course I NEVER do that! He said my skin looked so nice he thought I put makeup on. Texture is perfect and works really well with my retinol product. This stuff is my FAVORITE Paula product so far. Dreamy texture, ultra-stable packaging, innovative formula. It's been three weeks and my skin is blemish-free, and noticeably more even-toned. The RESIST Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator reminds me a lot of the RESIST Barrier Repair Moisturizer (its look and the feel of it on my skin). I don't generally get breakouts but I do have quite a bit of blackheads on my T-zone area. I haven't seen an improvement with my blackheads. What I have seen an improvement with is with the redness I have on my cheeks. I use this before I put on SPF or foundation w/SPF as some extra moisture even around my eyes. This is a great product but for my skins problems or lack there of I don't feel this is an essential part of my skin care routine.

A Star Product
I am seduced by anything that promises clear skin. Indeed, that's been my personal struggle for my entire adult life. Thank goodness I found Paula's Choice nearly a decade ago; the CLEAR line, along with several other outstanding products, have been nothing short of a skin miracle. That said, I wasn't expecting anything special from this product -- namely because I already use products which contain similar/same ingredients (niacinamide, vitamin c, et al). I figured this might replace the Skin Balancing Moisture Gel, which I happen to love. But alas, after using this for 7 or 8 days, there have been some surprises. First, my skin turns red every single day after shaving. While it only lasts for a half hour or so, it's irritating (literally and figuratively) and I've never found a product to deal with it instantly (for some reason, the Skin Relief Treatment, for me, makes my skin much worse, not better). The Clear Skin Hydrator, however, takes the redness away immediately, and leaves behind a smooth, matte finish (on my extra oily skin). This product has also visibly brightened my skin in a very short amount of time. Anyone with oily skin is going to appreciate the superior aesthetics of this gel -- which absorbs almost instantly and does not contribute to shine. It also layers well with every product I've tried: Shine Stopper, benzoyl peroxide, sunscreens, etc. While Paula's Choice has many great formulations, I often find myself wishing they were slightly different (because I want all products to produce results but not have any after-feel or obvious appearance on skin -- probably an impossibility). But this moisturizer is just perfect. And best of all (and it can't be stated too often how rare this is in the world of skincare) it does exactly what it says it will do: keep skin clear and help skin 'resist' aging. What more could I hope for? (Now, if Paula's Choice would only create a truly and completely matte SPF for the face...).

Fading Discoloration from Pregnancy

Does Not Feel Greasy or Heavy
