I just got this and it's as good if not better than the skin recovery moisturizer.It's not greasy.It's light and it sinks into the skin.Almost like a serum.I like this product alot and I am one of those who used the $200 creams.I will never turn back to those expensive products.I love Paula's line!

Ok, but not for dry skin
I have been using this at night since I received it about a week ago. I haven't noticed any difference in my skin's appearance (although I wasn't expecting much since I already use a night moisturizer with Retinol). About 5 minutes after applying, my skin feels tight and dry. I thought with all the oils in this, it would keep my skin feeling soft and dewy, but it's more like a serum than a moisturizer. I have to put another moisturizer over it. I will use what I have, but wouldn't buy again. Also, the pump doesn't work very well - I have to pump 5 or 6 times to get enough to cover my face and neck. So far so good...
I have used this only once but I love the texture and it makes my skin feel so supple. Great ingredients too. The packaging seems big for how much product you get but the pump works well and distributes just the right amount.

Heads Up.
Just tried the new Resist product. It works wonderfully on my face but due to my super sensitive neck area I woke up with a red, bumpy itchy neck. I'll continue to use the product on my face but will avoid my neck area all together. I love Paula's products and will continue with her other creams for my neck area. Resist - a great product

The jury's still out on this one...
After 3 days of using this twice a day, the area around my nose and mouth began burning and itching, and my skin felt dry and irritated. I want so much to like this as well as I like almost all of Paula's skin care products, and I will continue to try to use it to see if my skin adjusts, but, for now, the jury is still out. Customer Care Response: Thank you for the feedback. Because each person is different and can respond differently to ingredients, we cannot be sure what your skin is reacting to. We can advise though that this formula contains a potent blend of vitamins, antioxidants and cell communicating ingredients and twice per day use may just be a bit much for your particular skin. Consider taking a couple days off from the product an then reintroduing it just once per day. Essentially, it may require some experimention on your part to see just how much and how often you should apply this product. Very nice product
So far so good. I have not had any problem and I am usually a bit sensitive under my eyes. I love the texture and it has all the ingredients I wanted in a cream. I wanted a product that could go under the eyes as well as on the face and neck. I think my face is looking better already.

SO far SO good!
Really digging this product, Paula! I can see that it's lightweight consistency may mean I layer a more emollient moisturizer on top in the winter, but I don't mind. This almost seems like a serum. Leaves a matte, soft finish on my combo skin. I'm looking forward to finishing the bottle to see it's full effect. I also LOVE the air tight container. So far I've had NO problems with it. Fantastic!!
I have been using this cream for about a week and my 55 year old skin looks more even and supple. For the first time since I was 17 years old I have switched from a foundation to a tinted moisturizer. I have gotten alot of compliments on my skin and at my age!! I use all of Paula's products and I don't see how she could top this. My husband is recovering from cancer (doing well)and chemo does one heck of a job on your skin, I started putting this on him (he actually let me) and when we saw the doctor on Friday, the doctor complimented him on how great his skin looked. a desert island must
I've been using this for a week now and my skin is glowing, supple and re-texurized. Used under makeup it somehow keeps color cosmetics looking freshly applied through the day. It's my desert island must item and for special occasions, I'll use it as a body lotion for head to toe luxury. Deserves national distribution. Brilliant!

However...
This is another outstanding product from PC, however, I would like to register my dissatisfaction with the marketing for Resist. Part of what draws me to PC is the very fact that this is not a major name brand making insultingly large claims. There's an idea in some economic circles that you can either be the best or the biggest. You cannot be both. And I think the evidence bears this out. I hope Paula maintains her commitment to be the best, and RESISTS the urge to be the biggest. Slow growth is sustainable. Fast growth is not.

Best moisturizer I have used -- and I have tried countless. Elegant texture, absorbs instantly, doesn't make me break out (like almost every other moisturizer). I'm normal-slightly dry skin. I love it! And thanks, Paula, for not including SPF for those of us who are very sensitive to SPF (unless it's mineral).

This is an absolutely "irresistible" moisturizer! I will be introducing this to my family members including the guys! BEST STUFF I HAVE EVER USED
Don't listen to the reviewers who have gripes about this stuff (including the one below calling hypocrite who has NOT even used this!). I am 40 years old and have tried every thing under the sun since I was 16. I have never found a product that makes my face feel as good as this one, and I am ONE PICKY PERSON when it comes to things on my face. I have sensitive, combination skin, prone to breakouts. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AT LEAST TRY A SAMPLE!!

Good Stuff!

Barrier Repair is an accurate name!
I have eczema and my dermatologist has often emphasized that my main problem is a damaged barrier. Within three days of using this moisturizer on my extremely dry, sensitive skin, my skin is much more supple, smooth, not itchy, and looks younger! Normally my skin causes me so much pain but since using this product my skin is soothed. Also I love the packaging, the light, moist yet serum like texture that doesn't make the acne prone parts of my skin break out, and the lack of any weird smell. Thanks Paula. Yes, Airtight container!
This product is lightweight giving the goodness of a moisturiser minus the greasiness. I swim 5 times a week and want a product that will prevent wrinkles. Just love this in an airtight container!

Bad packaging

Bad Bottle!
While I like this cream I can not stand the container!! The top of mine constantly falls off or gets stuck. I wish this came in on of the other container styles which I have had no issues with. If I were marooned on an island..
If I suddenly found myself marooned on a island and could only have one beauty product, this would be it. I started using this two weeks ago and I love it. It feels divine on the skin. I am 42 and just starting to notice some lines, ruddiness, and dullness. This stuff works. My skin feels softer, looks more even in tone, and appears more refreshed. Great Stuff!
I've been using this for a little over 2 weeks and have already seen a distinct and noticeable improvement in the texture of my skin. It also has a more even tone, and has helped reduce the redness I get due to Rosacea. It's a fantastic eye cream and immediately relieves under eye "crepeiness". I've tried creams of this type that didn't give me a fraction of the results this does, despite costing 4 times the price! A+, Paula!

Doesn't cause acne or blackheads!
At last! A moisturizer that my aging, acne-prone, FUSSY skin doesn't mind! I used to save my moisturizers for "special" or desperate occasions because they would ultimately cause blemishes or blackheads. I'm suprised!
I love PC products and normally order the Moisture Gel for normal to oily skin, but during the winter months, my skin needs a bit more TCL, so I decided to give Resist a try...I was suprised at how well the moisturized has made my skin look and feel. The dry patches are finally gone after a week. It has not caused me to break out which is a plus. What a great addition to the PC product line!

Dear Paula, Love your skin care products but just haven't found a moisturizer in your line that worked for me. Until, ta-da- RESIST. Wow, it is Everything I have been looking for and never expected to find for my "hard to please" face. Dry, oily, sensitive, you name it. Other products didn't "play" well with my makeup or when used at night left me greasy in the morning or itchy and burning after application. Amazed
I have used every brand and many many different products over the past decades, but after merely ordering a sample and ONLY ONE application, I awoke to see an improvement unlike anything I have ever seen before. I still can't believe I somehow went back in time 10 years, but it sure looks that way. I'm sold. Please send me the full size right away! Strangely, though, it tends to make the area around my eyes feel tight, so I use another moisturizer over it on my eye area. This seems more like a treatment serum than a moisturizer for this reason. RESIST Barrier Repair Moisturizer
This has to be my favorite moisturizer yet by Paula! I have tried all her other moisturizers and couldn't quite find one that seemed to be the perfect balance for my skin...until now! Fabulous
I loved the feel of this lotion and the ingredients within. I did have a bit of dryness and slight irritation the first week, but I soothed it with the PC hydrating cream on top. I am about to reorder my 2nd bottle and my face has never looked so clear and soft! I am able to go without make up for the first time in years!! I have even stopped my Triluma hyper pigmentation treatment...I don't need it any longer! Thanks for the great skin!

They thought I was 10 years younger!!!
I have been using Paula's Choice skincare products since they were introduced. I just added the RESIST. The delivery system (I know about that now thanks to Paula!)maintains the integrity of the ingredients. I trust Paula and her products bear out - they work. Last week a woman sitting next to me was studying my face and then later in a comment mentioned my age at 45. I'm 56 and was delighted :-) Not because I don't want to get older - I love that - but you can look youthful (notice I didn't say young!) with excellent skincare. I just reordered my RESIST. I just wish they gave more instructions for incorporating it into your skincare routine. Love it!!!

A very different product
I have hyper sensitive skin that surprisingly responded quite well to this product. I used an additional moisturizer at night. My skin responds very differently to this than other moisturizers, but in a good way. Less (almost no) redness anymore, much more even-toned, and adequate moisture with NO greasiness. To my surprise, "different" can be good. Yay!

I purchased samples of two different moisturizers. Before going to bed I tried one of the samples on one side of my face and the other sample on the other side of my face. While Resist was a great texture and felt good going on, after about 2 minutes the skin on that side of my face started burning. I thought I could deal with it, but after about 20 minutes I just had to wash it all off. If you have sensitive skin, do not buy this product. I had high hopes for this, but when I tried to put foundation on over it, the foundation balled up and came right off! I wear makeup every day...The directions indicate that it can be worn under makeup, but not if the makeup comes right off! Maybe this is really best for nighttime use only. extremely disappointed
Product is not good for dry, sensitive skin. I have loved all of Paula's skin care products, but this one is horrible. The moisturizer felt ok at first. My skin felt tight after the first day. On the second day, I guess I made the mistake of using the product with paula's sunless tanner because my face was completely broken out the third day. It has taken several days for the bumps to go away, but my face continues to be very red, dry, and flaky, and itchy. Will never use it again. Customer Care Response: Thank you for the feedback. I Love Resist
This product is the best I've used as a moisturizer and it makes my skin look much better. And at my age (65+), it's rather remarkable to see significant improvement. My only fear is I will use it up too quickly because it feels so good I can't "resist" using it often. I will recommend it to my daughters.

I use this product on my neck and eye area, but I've found that it causes me to break out if I use it on my forehead or T-Zone. I think it may just be too heavy for my combination skin.

Horrible red rash on neck
I've loved all the Paula products so far and was really excited to try this. It seems to work well on my face, but each time I've used it on my neck I develop a horrible itchy rash that takes nearly a week to go away. And, on two occasions, after using it twice in one day under my eye area, I started to develop a very slight rash under one of my eyes. I'm going to discontinue use of the product because there is clearly something that I'm allergic to in it. Which is odd because the only other product I've ever had a skin reaction to is Tiger Balm. Need To Give It a Month

Good for Oily Skin too!

Don't like it
This product is not good enough for my dry skin, and I am not very dry. One container lasted only 2 weeks for me. I like the Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant way more, I wake up in the morning with a silky skin. The 2nd reason I don't like this product is the packaging. peels after appying foundation
I have very dry skin, and usually use the skin recovery moisturizer, which works great. I just purchased this product, and found that after applying foundation on top it peels. Didn't work for me, but....
customer service has been really helpful helping me find something that does work for me. I live in a dry climate and have extremely dry and sensitive skin. I didn't realize this product contained Retinol until I spoke to a rep. online. I think I must be allergic to it and it caused some burning and itching. I broke out in a bit of a red, bumpy rash too. It was suggested that I try the skin recovery line. I have always loved Paula's products in the past, so I look forward to trying the skin recovery line. packaging nightmare?
Though the moisturizer itself is quite good, the packaging is -- as I'm sure others will discover -- faulty to the point that at about the 1/2 empty point, I can no longer get the stuff out. the top will pop off at some point and when you put it back on, the lotion will stop pumping out. After using the product for a month, I am pleased to report that my skin is vastly improved. I no longer have oily areas, have not broken out even once since I started using it, and my pores are actually much smaller. How can that be? I have no idea. I'm just very pleased! It also helped with lines (a.k.a. wrinkles) that were becoming prominent in my middle age. This is the ONLY moisturizer I have ever been able to use without complications: rashes; breakouts; allergies; red eyes; etc. It is effective without being heavy, and somehow calms the entire complexion. Areas that were just recently becoming dry and tight are smooth, and oily (very) areas are normalized. GREAT PRODUCT! Thank you, Paula!

Packaging false bottom
Absolutely love the product. Well done Paula. BUT, shame on your for the air tight container (good) with the FALSE BOTTOM! I cannot believe you have a false bottom on this product! liked everything but the pump
I love how my skin feels after using this, and definitely appreciate the non-greasiness of it. My only concern -- is the tube inside of the pump supposed to be very short? I can't tell if mine is broken or not, and want to know if I should going through the trouble of returning the bottle. The pump really only works if I shake the bottle upside down. Other than that, a great product.

So far so good
I must admit to being pleasantly surprised after using this for a few days. My skin does appear more moisturized and my complexion is more even (I tend to be splotchy). To those who have said it pills up under foundation: try putting a primer over it; that seems to work. I use MAC's Prep+Prime SPF 50 over it and before I put on my foundation and it solves that problem.

So Far So Good
I'm liking this moisturizer so far. I have seen improvements in my skin tone, smoothness, and reduced lines. I started using it at the same time as the AHA, and really love the combination and the results I'm seeing. I rarely wear foundation anymore. It is a little on the light side for my very dry skin, but for day its nice under my SPF. At night I still use the Recovery for a thicker moisturizer.

The main reason that I was interested in purchasing this product is the claim that it helps to build collagen. Haven't noticed a change
Have used for about a month. Goes on silky, but I need additional moisturizer or am dry in the morning. No real difference in skin tone or fine wrinkles. Pump broke after a couple of weeks and now have to push down and pull up. This is second of Paul's pump products to break. Sometimes maybe it _is_ worth it to pay for expensive packaging. Not sold on this yet
This is a lightweight moisturizer, so I'm not sure why it's advertised for dry skin. I just returned from a cruise and it was perfect for the humid climate. Now that I'm back in cold and dry weather, it doesn't come close to providing the moisture my skin needs. I also am dismayed at the pilling that other reviewers have noted. Because of it, I can only wear this at night. I will continue to use it for the exceptional ingredients, but remain hopeful for a reformulation. I have oily and acne prone skin (31 y/o). I am also using the Clear line by Paula. This is a wonderful moisturizer even for me. It makes my skin feel like velvet- all without making my skin feel heavy and oily. It is also a perfect product for this time of year. No scent, perfect packaging, and average price. Super Smooth
Resist Barrier Repair Moisturizer feels like a cross between a serum and a light moisturizer. It's perfect for my combination skin. My cheeks feel so smooth, and the texture is less slick than most serums. The product feels smooth, absorbs nicely and your face feels so soft in the morning. This will be replacing the Skin Balancing Moisture Gel for me since my skin looks and feels more like I hope with this product!! Someone with drier skin would probably want something more emoillient feeling but in terms of optimal skin functioning, this is a homerun!! Great job Paula!!

Not hydrating enough
Just got through my first bottle of this. My skin can take a lot, so I got no irritation. But I saw very little benefit and found that it didn't provide enough moisture for my combination (leaning toward dry) skin. I needed 4 pumps to cover my face and neck. It absorbed immediately, but almost every time, I had to use another moisturizer on top because my face still felt dry. The pump was also unpredictable. I'd think it was empty, them all of a sudden it would begin working again. I may give this a try again in the future but for now, I'll stick with the Super Antioxidant-Hydrating Treatment Cream combo, which had been working very well for me. Needs a Different Pump
Thisproduct has a nice smooth texture and feels good on my skin, but is nothing special. I've used it for several weeks and have noticed no difference in my skin. However, my biggest complaint is the pump. I gets stuck and I have to wait until it comes back up to pump again. If I try to pump more than one time nothng comes out. Nice product....
This is a nice, light moisturizer that is not greasy and sinks right into my skin. However, I really dislike the design of the pump. I have to pump it 3 times to get just a small amount out. Plus, the packaging just seems over-the-top and unnecessary in comparison to all the other items in Paula's line. Would much rather have seen a pliable, less "fancy" design - I feel like most of the cost of this is in the pump, which is much larger than the small volume of product put into it.

Good Formula, Bad Moisturizer, Horrible Packaging
I had high hopes for this moisturizer. Like many others, I've discovered that although the formula reads well, it's not a good moisturizer for dry skin. In fact, I think it's actually caused more dryness since I began using it several weeks ago. Furthermore, the packaging is horrible; clunky, wasteful, finicky, and (shame shame) non-recyclable. I'd strongly prefer that this be available in the standard squeeze-tube format, even if the packaging needs to be brilliant blue to distinquish the product as part of a new high-end PC line. Overall, I'll keep using it for it's proported benefits, but would like to see this re-packaged and re-formulated to be more moisturizing (or why not create 2 products with different moisturizing capabilities?). Kudos and a recommendation
The Resist Barrier Repair Moisturizer is the best skin product that I have ever used on my face; and I have tried a number of expensive products. I am 62 yrs old and my face has never looked this good. My husband has also begun using this product. I have one recommendation: the pump does not work well; initially it worked fine; but then it would not pump; now I must invert it. bad packaging and burns
I've been using this for awhile and the slight burning sensation after application hasn't improved. I don't really notice any difference n my skin either. Also, the pump doesn't seem to work well when less product is in the container. The pump gets stuck and when attempting to unstick, it pops off. Not really very convenient. We can advise though that this formula contains a potent blend of vitamins, antioxidants and cell communicating ingredients and twice per day use may just be a bit much for your particular skin. Consider taking a couple days off from the product an then reintroduing it just once per day. Essentially, it may require some experimention on your part to see just how much and how often you should apply this product. Great Disappointment!
I have combination skin. This product worked well on the dry areas- I have noticed an improvement in color and texture. However, it made the oily areas break out (I am 63!). However, it does not provide sufficient moisture for my eye area. The packaging! Please! I have become so aware of the need to recycle. This is not recyclable, and is a HUGE package,as the same amount of product will fit into a tradiitional tube. I have had a lot of problem getting the pump to operate correctly. That was before it started falling- and falling- out of my medicine cabinet, as it is top heavy once some of the product is gone. I have had to reassemble the top coutless times, as it pops off. I have been a Paula fan forever, and use all of the skin care line. This product/packaging is probably my biggest disappointment. Not Great
The ingredients are great...but the texture is more like a serum instead of a lotion. Doesn't do anything for my dry skin. Would like to see this in a cream similar to hydrating treatment cream - which is what I use now and will continue to use.

Like the Product, Hate the Pump
I like the product, but the pump mechanism was already broken when I received it. It comes off frequently, and it is always irritating to get the product out. Luckily I don't need to use much at one time. I did not complain at first, because I thought maybe it was due to my crippled hands, but I see lots of other reviews complaining of the same problems that I've had. Not sure
Just finished the sample size. The first thing I noticed is I can't apply my foundation on top of this moisturizer. It balls up and my foundation just came right off. Second, my skin feels tight, and I don't even have dry skin. Not sure about this moisturizer and I really want to like this. Great Product Poor Packaging
This product works as a retinol product but is not really moisturizing. Also, I have had problems with the pump. I would assume there is more product in there but I cannot get it out! It is like wasting alot of product. Most products like this are clear so that you can see how much you have left! I am on my second bottle and love this new "potion". However, I do have some concerns with the packaging. The pump on the first bottle broke within two weeks (I was able to remove the lid and had to constantly reposition it inorder for it to work). Once empty, I took the bottle apart and felt a bit cheated as there was more container than product - somewhat misleading. Other than that, I am still a 100% Paula's Choice happy camper!

Fix the pump!
I love the serum, but find myself grabbing other products because I get frustrated with the pump. I press it, get a small amount of serum, but then the pump doesn't exactly return. I try to pull it up so I can press it again and not much happens. Just more than my patience allows. Great Product
I really like this. I'm 47 and have been using this around my eyes and on my neck and some on my cheeks at night as I have an oily t-zone. (I use the balancing moisturizer gel for my face) This feels soft and not at all greasy and does not cause my acne prone skin to act up. The pump design needs some work but other than that I love this and recommend it.

Surprisingly good!
I'll reorder Resist, despite the import cost. It worked within 2 uses! I'm 51 with very sun damaged, ruddy Irish skin. I was pleasantly surprised to find Resist lightened sun spots, firmed the skin, diminished redness and made deep wrinkles appear less pronounced. It produces a mild, peculiar tingling for a few minutes after application, but it does not burn sensitive skin. Resist is not greasy; it absorbs well within two minutes. If we could just get a version of this product with an SPF, it would be ideal for summer days.

Since I am already on my third bottle, I think it is time for my review! LOVE LOVE LOVE the new Resist! I stopped my Rx Taz and went to Resist. I can use it twice daily and my face has never been better, Not one breakout and NO irritation EVER!! I can't believe Resist has Retinol - it is so gentle. I have had MANY burns from OTC/Rx Retinol products but NOT RESIST!! Even around my eyes it is great. I feel I am getting better results than Rx because I can use Resist twice a day - never could use my Rx more the every other day! KUDOS Paula on this breakthrough product!!!!

Surprised at how much I like it!
It is more expensive, the packaging is excessive and makes it hard to gauge amount remaining, pump is finicky---all this is true. But I actually do think this works better for me than the other moisturizers. I'm 61, combination skin. Ordered for extra emollient in the dry winter months. I think it is wonderful and plan to continue using it at night even when winter is over.

I was recommended this via Live Chat to try in place of Skin Balancing Gel for my skin in the drier wintertime. I was excited to try it, given the good reviews, but sadly found it made my skin tight and red, with little moisturizing effect, and was impossible to use with foundation. So frustrating! Beautiful product!
I love this moisturizer. It feels absolutely luxurious. Although it is light, it feels very moisturizing and absorbs so well into the skin, leaving a moist, but not greasy feel. Though light, it feels very concentrated, and I wouldn't say it's like a serum. If I feel I need a heavier moisturizer over certain areas, I simply apply a bit of the Skin Recovery Moisturizer over this. I highly recommend Resist Barrier Repair, whether used alone or in conjunction with other products.

Unexpected Benefit

Burned Area/Rash Around Eyes
I love Paula's Choice. I use and am satisfied with all her products until this. I only used it for my eyes because in winter my skin and makeup gets "dry" under my eyes. Wow. After three days I developed painful red rashy blisters on my eyelids, under eye, and even on the rim in the lower lid. Where the lotion contacted my cheek bone, large painful red cysts developed. I stopped using it five days ago, and the rash/burn is almost gone. I do not have sensitive skin and have never had this type of reaction to anything....but I'm glad its working for some people. sensitive skin issues
I love how Resist Barrier Repair makes my skin feel. And I like the packaging and the amount that is dispensed. But my dry skin is too sensitive for this product. I started and stopped usage several times to test and each time I got red bumps that were somewhat itchy. The other Resist product would probably be more suitable for me. I have used Paula's skin care products and makeup for many years and have about 95% overall satisfaction with the products. I will continue to use and enjoy all the other products!

Nothing better!!!
As someone who spends most of her time on an airplane, I'm in constant battle with skin dehydration. NOTHING has worked better than this moisturizer to repair my skin! I do use this in conjunction with an antioxidant serum... this is definitely my holy grail of moisturizers!!! In the past 10 years of flying, this is my moisturizer I won't leave home without!!! it's just OK

It Was the Retinol!
I discontinued use of this product because I too developed several red bumps on my skin. However, upon re-reading the ingredient list, I see that it has retinol. So, I will continue its use, as this occurs, for me, with all retinol-based products. As it is still much less irritating than the lowest retin-a cream I've used, I'm really happy to have come upon this product description again. Will start tonight! Great product, container sucks
I have rated this product once before with 5 stars, but have to remove 1 due to the malfunctioning container. The pump part stays always down once I press it, and I have to manually lift it back up with my finger. Now it will not even come back up anymore. I still love the product and just ordered a new one. Reformed skeptic

Amazing is an understatement
This moisturizer makes my skin feel like pure silk. I use it at night only because it doesn't have sunscreen in it, and I never wake up with dry skin in the morning anymore! AND it isn't greasy or heavy, so it helps combat my acne instead of making it worse like so many moisturizers have done in the past. I'm officially addicted!

Love, love, LOVE this product!
The day this product launched, I immediately bought a bottle for my mother (age 65), and for myself (age 30). After only a few applications, we were both completely hooked! I have combination skin that is somewhat prone to blackheads, and I can use this moisturizer every night over Paula's 2% BHA, and it doesn't seem to have any pore clogging effects whatsoever, which is wonderful. The aspect of this product that both my mother and I like the most however, is the amazing improvement in skin texture, and we have found this to be particularly noticeable around the eye area. We both already have "good" skin, but this product takes our already good skin to the next level. As a former aesthetician, I have been fed every line about practically every product in the book, and I can honestly say that this product actually performs up to, and exceeds my very high expectations. This, my fellow skincare devotees, is what we call a keeper! I wish I could say I have noticed a significant difference after using this product, but unfortunately, I can't. I have completely used one container of it, and if it were going to make a difference, I should have seen it by now. My skin feels no different, nor does it look any different. I might as well be putting water on my skin. I like most of Paula's products, but this one apparently does nothing for me. I had high hopes for it, but will not spend the money on it again. Very Good Stuff!
A very elegant formulation, super light, yet moisturizes beautifully. The retinol has improved the crinkles around my eyes nicely. Does not irritate my rosacea prone skin. Give it a try, it is very good stuff. Very Dry skin, however, should stick with the Skin Recovery line.

Good product but expensive, bad packaging
I've been using this with PC cleanser and a PC exfoliant. It works fine for me as a moisturizer, but I can't claim that I notice a difference in my skin. My main concerns are the price and the packaging. I understand that a quality formulation may be expensive to make, but compared with my other PC products, this just isn't much (and it's even less if you can't get some of it out because of the packaging). How long is this quantity supposed to last? If it's a month, that's $23 a month for a moisturizer.

Minor irritation but Effective Serum
I simply cannot wear most "moisturizers" under makeup, so this is the perfect greaseless foundation primer. It's so light it disppears into my skin. For some reason it tingles/burns my face after application, however, the tingle subsides after a few seconds. This doesn't irritate the skin around my eyes, or my neck, and it works well as a bedtime eye cream.

Break out
I recently had a facial and was told that even though I am slightly oily in the T zone and have lots of blackheads, that I have dry skin and should use a moisturizer. I've tried other PC moisturizers but had a small break out. I was hopeful with Resist, but the same thing happened. I like the light weight texture, but I don't understand why this happens to me. The only moisturizer I've been able to use long term is the Clinque Remarkably Different Moisturizer in the gel formula. I use the moisturizer and serum at night along with my metrocream and in the morning I'm less red. I think it's great for someone with my skin type. I also use this as an eye cream just before putting on the concealer. Works really well!

IT WORKS!
I've been using the Resist barrier repair moisturer for over 6 weeks now and I have seen improvement in the crease lines just above my jaw. The lines haven't disappeared but they have diminished somewhat.

I had my first ever severe allergic reaction to it, and the Skin Recovery toner. I found it watery and not very moisturizing. The packaging was great. Paula's Choice refunded my money without hesitation and the customer service was great. I have been happy with the 1% BHA.

Poor Packaging
I love this product however, due to poor packaging, I find this the most expensive moisturizer I have ever used. It is gone in less that a month or at least no more product can be pumped out of the container. It would be super if you could package this in same tube as your other moisturizers. Packaging not a problem
Unless the pump containers for this product are not consistent, I have to say that I did not experience one issue with this container. I was able to use the product down to the last drop. Often when this type of container stops working a few simple taps of the bottom on the counter are enough to get them going. They also should not be opened. This is a superior product that I will definitely reorder.

Breaks me out
It took me over a month (only by eliminating certain products) to realize that this product is breaking me out in small little bumps on chin, forehead and neck. not for this rosacean
I have mild but persistent rosacea & this product makes my skin VERY red. I believe it is the retinol in the formula that may be the culprit, though with so many ingredients it is impossible to say. Is there any possibility PC may produce a line of REALLY gentle products that contain only what truly sensitive skin needs & nothing more? Prior to getting rosacea, I used every PC product. Now, I must rely on a specialty brand for 'rosacea serums.'I can use only PC's mineral sunscreen 15 spf, 1% BHA gel (the lotion has something irritating in it), & a bit of the super antioxidant serum around my eyes. I'm always surprised when I see what you recommend for "Rosacea Skin" on this site. My skin turned beet-red when I tried your regimen. Oh well-no two rosaceans ever have the same skin reactions, it seems. Mostly,I'm just mad I can't use any & all of your products like I used to,since PC IS the best skincare line out there. Once Is Not Enough!
I've used this for 2 weeks. It is very pleasant, but so far my face hasn't been "remodeled". I wish to goodness more people would wait a few weeks or even months before writing such gushing reviews. The test of a good skin product is not in how great it makes your skin feel after one application! It takes time & consistent, correct application to determine the validity of claims made for any face cream. Even reading the research provided is not enough. I want to know what *this* product, as formulated, does for those who've actually used it for several (at least 5) weeks.

A bit less truth??
The 'truth in advertising' principle is oneof the reasons I initially purchased PC products.I am disappointed Paula has resorted to the commercial language - "remodel aging skin', "preserve collagen", used by the larger 'icon' brands who exploit women's purses and insult their intelligence with their grandiose claims. Get back to the truth. Forgo the fancing packaging that makes it look like you get more than really do. Another principle - KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid, is often the best approach. Poor packaging
I have ordered the Resist moisturizer twice now and while I love the product, on both occasions the pump has quickly broken. The very poor packaging is the sole reason for the bad review. I would have rated the product a 4 based on results but feel that as I cannot dispense the product it was a complete waste of time and money. I like this but does it have to be in a pump? Why not a tube? Pumps are prone to failure, tubes are not. Besides, with a tube every drop can be squeezed out, not like a pump which leaves significant product stuck in the container.

I like this product over my moisturizer and only at night. I'm too sensitive to use any of Paula's exfoliating options - so I'm thrilled to have some anti aging benefits added to my regular routine. Until Resist, I was never able to use Retinol. Dry, sensitive users should not rely on this product as their sole moisture.

I Love Resist
I have loved this product and have ordered it several times. But I have begun to notice a fine rash on my face and since I'm not sure what's causing it I have to consider this as well as other products. I really do hope to keep using it. Wonderfully Formulated Product - A Real Winner!
I'm a faithful user of PC for at least 12 years. The RESIST moisturizer is amazing! I'm pushing 70, live in the desert Southwest and have a true combination skin. I saw an immediate improvement in my skin's texture and moisturization, without a hint of oiliness. I even find it compatible when used under my eye makeup. The packaging problems are tolerable considering the benefits of the product. I'm sure PC will tweak things in this regard. Keep up the good work!

Lightweight
I was so excited to try the new Resist moisturizer, especially with the convenient new pump/air tight dispenser but I was disappointed. The watery lotion texture didn't moisturize my dry skin as well as the Skin Recovery. During the winter, I usually had to add another moisturizer on top. Plus the pump didn't work well, sometimes having to pump several times to get anything out. Too bad you couldn't use the pump design of the SPF Skin Recovery instead. That one works great (except the plastic cap which falls off & cracks over time.) I really wanted to like this product but will be going back to using the Skin Recovery line. Like Skin Recovery Moisturizer Better
Like the packaging and hoped it would work since recommended for roseaca. However, after a few uses, it now leaves my skin tight and shiny whereas Paula's skin recovery moisturizer leaves it supple and matte and has not caused further irritation.

Never again! Caused break-outs
If your skin is acne-prone, WATCH OUT!! Try samples first. Tilte it 'Retinol Moisturizing Treatment'
This is perfect for my dry skin with surface oil issues, enlarged pores, blackheads. I've experienced a 'purging process' of pimples that is diminishing. Retinol helps greatly and quickly with these issues. Web searches will help explain some of these neck, eye, and warming sensation reviews. I use once a day at night(will use less if develop problems). Thank you so much for this outstanding product with no silicones or mattifying ingred.(that I can tell). Can't keep hands off face
Not an expert, but I firmly believe efective % retinols (such as this wonderful product) should only be used at night. PAST daytime usage experiences with other effective % retinols resulted in brown patches for me. I'll patiently wait and hope for a DAYTIME AHA & a truly sheer tinted tit./zinc. sunscreen with this lotion's look and feel...hydrated fresh face natural. Great with or without layering (& most layer). The most outstanding product I've ever had on my face!

Can't live without this product!
I usually don't like using moisturizer because my skin is acne-prone and on the oily side... but this product is an exception! I have never been so happy since using this moisturizer!! I have tried the other Paula's Choice moisturizers, but they didn't agree with my skin! This one, on the other hand, is the best moisturizer I have ever tried! I have not experienced any breakout or irritation, even around the eyes! This moisturizer combined with the Resist serum is the best thing I could do for my skin! Handy tip
I've only tried a sample of this product, and have not bought a full bottle yet. So far, I really like the texture and I am considering buying the full bottle, but I've been reading some of the reviews that say they have trouble figuring out how much is left in the bottle in order to know when to buy more, and thought I'd share a trick that I have for figuring out how much is left of any product when it's in an opaque bottle. Try shining a flashlight through it. If the bottle is very dark or very opaque, you may need to use a brighter flashlight or do this in a darker room, but you should be able to see something of how much product is left. This is how I check how much I have left of all of my PC products.

Excellent Product
I use Retin A over most of my face, but can not apply it under my nose around my mouth and on my chin. I bought this product primarily for these areas and my neck. Follow up to first reviw
I originally gave this product a poor review even though I like the product because the pump broke on 2 separate bottles I ordered on 2 separate occasions. Customer service replaced the bottles and sent a note explaining that there was a defect in the pump that had been corrected. The new bottles work without problem and I am happy with the moisturizer and get many compliments on my skin. My only suggestion is to add SPF protection.

Not too emollient
This moisturizer is great for combination skin. Even when used in conjunction with the RESIST Antioxidant Concentrate, my dry/combination skin doesn't look or feel greasy in the least, just comfortable. I was surprised to see that this moisturizer contains retinol, because usually my skin doesn't cope well with retinol, but my skin does fine with this product. I have noticed a slight reduction in fine lines, and I truly think this product has improved my skin's moisture barrier, as I don't have to use an additional moisturizer over this one anymore! Interesting, well-formulated moisturizer.
