Can't do without this product!
I've been using this product for a number of years, and just love it. I use it at night on face and neck, over moisturizer, and wake up with gloriously soft skin. People tell me that my complexion glows -- so thank you! I also use it on the backs of my hands and around my cuticles before bed and have no "age" spots. Thanks, again! I must tell you that I'm 70 and grew up in a Southern California beach city, so I had plenty of time in the sun (waaaay before sunscreen).

I love this serum. I have normal skin and this is moisturizing without being too oily. After using this in conjunction with a full PC skincare regimen, my skin is less pink and much more clear and bright. I use this product both day and night; this serum works well under makeup.

I love this!
I love this. I am almost done with my first tube and I do believe it's making a positive change in my skin. It glows and looks healthier. I wish it were slightly cheaper because I usually don't usually spend over $25 on small 1 oz. tubes or beauty products, but this is an excellent serum. There weren't really any comparable, cheaper drugstore alternatives on the beautypedia site (this serum really is a good value in retrospect seeing what other companies charge for antioxidant serums!). So I guess I'll just space out my purchases of this (I hate to sound cheap, but I'm a recent college graduate on a very tight budget). It didn't break me out either. 5 stars!

The first time I used this product I feel instantly in love with it. However, it is very concentrated (just like it says!) so be careful not to use too much. I use alittle more at night than I do in the day. My sking felt soft, smooth, and plump after just one use. I did discover a pin size hole in the tube. I am hoping it can be replaced cuz I never want to be without it!! Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. even better for hands!
I use this serum around the eyes and like that I don't have a dry, pulling feeling there any more. Had tried it on my chin which sometimes showed irritation, and it didn't work for me there (caused some breaking out). No problem, a good regimen of toner and BHA exfoliant has completely fixed my chin. What I found most amazing, though, was I tried the serum recently on the backs of my hands after a heavy gardening session. My hands tend to be dry generally, and are starting to show the beginnings of what will be brown age spots and sun damage leftovers (I'm 47,very light skinned). The next morning, I couldn't believe how soft and even-toned my hands looked! Since I figure my hands are going to show age much faster than any other skin on my body (just like my Mom, my Grandmother, etc.)I'm going to start making my hands the #1 job for this serum!

Great product, not for me
I purchased a few samples of this to see if it might work for me at night (I use the Skin Balancing Retinol serum 2x day currently). I used it once, and man, is it a great product. Very smooth, rich, and my skin felt so plump and hydrated the next morning! Sadly, I also broke out in a few tiny blackheads and whiteheads over the next couple of days. I tried it knowing it might not work, and it didn't. But if your skin is not overly prone to breaking out, I HIGHLY recommend this - really terrific product. wear it every day
I put this on every morning before my sunscreen. I feel naked without it! I'm not sure it's actually changed my complexion in a visible way... I use it mostly out of habit, and to feel like I'm adding an antioxidant boost to my skin. This is a product where you just have to wear it and trust that you're doing your skin a huge favor in the long run. It's not like an exfoliant, where you see instant and dazzling results. I was hesitant to buy it for a long time, because of the price-to-size ratio (25 bucks for 1 ounce, you say???) but you'll be surprised by how long it lasts (and I don't even use it very conservatively- I slather this stuff on!). I only have to restock twice a year- one tube is good for six months!

Silicone base of this serum not ideal for me
I think the ingredients in this serum are absolutely unimpeachable starting from the 3rd item in the list to the end. I ordered the full size after trying a sample, HOWEVER, I've come to realize that the silicone base, which makes applying this serum a rather sticky and yet slow(!) process, is causing it to lose its initial appeal for me. Also I realized it requires careful removal or else it will clog my skin! As a result I've been using it infrequently, just to use it all up, so I can't tell if my skin is truly benefitting either!I think it would become a keeper for me if it were the texture of, for example, the philosophy when hope is not enough serum, which just glides on & sinks into skin very fast(of course it is water-based, but I mention it to hopefully clarify my experience of this RESIST serum for the PC team!), & help them understand why I am a bit disappointed & rather unlikely to buy it again. Too heavy for combination skin
I have many different skin types on my one face, so I thought that this would be the best serum choice. It's too oily for my T zone but not quite enough moisture for my outer face. I think I should have chosen the Skin Balancing serum and will purchase that one next. I'm trying to convert to all Paula's Choice products - most of what I've tried is great! I hope this review helps somebody make a serum choice. Not sure if its working?
I have been using this serum on one side of my face each day for about a month. I put it on, wait about 15 minutes, then put on moisturizer/makeup as normally do. I don't see any difference between the one side of my face and the other side where I have not been using the serum. My skin is in good shape -- I'm 43, use a Rx retin A product, and wear sunscreen/moisturizer faithfully. Yet, I would still expect a visible difference btw the two sides of face after a month of consistent use. How else can I tell if it is working or not? Smooooooth!
Great stuff, smooths skin and has decreased my acne scars already (within 1st week) i use it after cleansing and then put on my moisturizer/spf. Love this stuff. Was expecting a bigger container (they should put a credit card or something next to this in the image) but I imagine this will last a very very long time because you only use a tiny bit.

Firming
This product is excellent. I find that it firmed my skin right away; I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this formulation. This serum is loaded with antioxidants and it provides remarkable skin-firming results.

Initial reaction: Not sure about this product
At first this serum had me questioning whether I really had normal skin or normal to oily b/c I felt like it didn't absorb that well and I woke up in the morning with my face feeling a little oily, whereas that never happens to me. In tandem with this product, I am using Paula's retinol serum which, when used together at night - it could be too much. I also broke out a little and I am now scaling back - alternating one or the other and using both more sparingly. So, we shall see. The breaking out has stopped and now that I'm using less of both, my skin doesn't feel oily in the morning. Love the toner - by the way! Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. OK I am seriously amazed and I sort of can't even believe it..I keep looking in the mirror and saying really???? REALLY??Am I imagining this?? I got samples of the Resist serums and I've only been using them for less than a week..On the day after I used them I saw a difference..Now after 5 days this very deep line across my brow ..that drove me NUTS is softer and less noticeable..I've been taking fish oil and grape seed extract and Vitamin E also..but was doing that for weeks before and didn't see that kind of a difference.. NOTHING has ever done this - this quickly or ever....Thank you Paula and will ONLY buy your products from now on..I tried them all pretty much..This is truly amazing stuff!! I will tell EVERYONE!!!

Did nothing for me
Been using this nightly as directed for my 34 year old smile lines. Have not noticed any change at all and I'm almost through the whole tube. It didn't seem to have any negative effects, but neither did it have any positive effects. On the plus side it did last a long time. Won't buy this product again but I'm not sure what else to try. One of the best for the price
Vitamin C ester, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Tocotrienols, Glutathione? Is this one of Perricone's new $120 serums? Nope - Paula's Choice. Phenomenal ingredient deck for the price, especially if you take advantage of a sale price. This serum has some of the most popular antioxidants, along with anti-irritants, anti-inflammatories and a peptide. I have very oily skin, but I find that -- although I was skeptical at first when I read this would be the case -- the silicones in the product DO evaporate after a few minutes. This stuff is great.

Lovely
This is a lovely serum. I prefer serums over lotions. This serum is just a little "sticky" when you first apply it, but it is very rapidly absorbed into my skin within a few seconds. I love this product!

I have super sensitive skin around the eyes - and after 1 week of use, I feel 10 years younger! The texture is a little greasy so I only used at night, but it has worked wonders.

Too irritating
I had high hopes for this after reading some of the reviews... but this was way too irritiating for my skin. After using around my eyes for a couple of nights, they become dry, red and too irritated to put make-up on. Also found it be too oily, and did not seem to sink in. I love most of paula's products, this has been one of the couple that has not worked for me. I'll be trying a sample of another antioxidant serum to see if that works better. Love using this along with the Skin Balancing moisture gel. They go great together for my combo skin. I put three teeny tiny drops on my hands, spread, then pat on my dry areas first. If I put it all over starting with my forehead it does get greasy so technique is very important when using this.

Pretty Great
I must admit I was a little skeptical about this product, since I'd used other antioxidant serums from Paula's Choice and didn't really see any difference in my skin, other than a bit of softness. Just when I was ready to say that I wasn't seeing a difference, I've been getting more compliments than usual- people asking whether I'd gotten a facial, etc. I realized that my skin really is looking better than it ever has, and at nearly 42 years old, that's great! The serum has improved the texture of my skin, and I find I don't need to wear as much makeup as I have in the past. I find this serum has been very nice for my combo-dry skin.

Not what I expected
Sorry Paula, I like most of your products, specially the sunblocks and lip treatment but this did not deliver. My skin got flaky and it became dryer instead of moisturized. good product, a bit thick for me
I find the consistency to be a bit thick for my liking, and hence I only use it at night. I have fairly oily skin, and I suspect this is occasionally contributing to some minor breakouts. However, it is great to use in the eye area. I plan to stick to the Paula's Choice serum for oily skin once this one is used up.

Humid Climate+Oily Skin=Not Great
This product causes my pores to clog on my t-zone. I understand the silicone is supposed to evaporate, which would prevent this problem. However, in high humidity climates like mine, it stays sticky on my face for up to 30 minutes (even if I just use a pin size drop). Since the silicone doesn't evaporate well, it basically leaves a protective layer on the surface of my skin, keeping moisture in (great if you have dry skin). This becomes a problem for oily skin like mine, because it basically traps the sebum in my pores, causing blackheads and closed comedones to form. So, while the product itself isn't clogging my pores, it, combined with my humid climate, creates an environment for blackheads. I'm disappointed because I'd love an antioxidant serum that's for oily skin that doesn't contain retinol (an irritant for me). Can you recommend other PC products that contain antioxidants but not silicones and retinol? Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. Gloomy winter skin's BFF
This winter my skin had been looking dull and I'd been looking for a product with antioxidants to boost its appearance. This product makes my skin look healthier, brighter, smoother and better. Not a winner for me
Well, I really, REALLY wanted to love this serum. I was READY to love this serum. I put it on, and *meh* it felt oily. Okay, I thought, I'll give it a chance to soak in. I liked it better after a few minutes, however, the next day, I was ready to throw the tube out the window. I broke out in HUGE red pustules all over my cheeks and nose (on which I NEVER break out). *sigh* A few days later, after I had cleared up that breakout, I decided to give the serum one more shot in case it wasn't the responsible factor in the previous breakout, but the same thing happened. I guess this is just not my product! Maybe I can use it on my neck and chest without breaking out; I'll try that just so I can get some use out of the serum. Great Serum
This is by far the best serum I've ever used and I've used several different ones that cost triple more than what this one does. I love the way it makes my skin feel and can definitely tell a difference if I miss a day.

Nice product
For me, this is one of those products that I like to use and trust that it is good for my skin. What I mean is, it feels good to apply but I don't really see any difference in my skin based on whether or not I use it. I believe that the antioxidants are beneficial, but it doesn't produce a noticeable difference on a day to day basis. The texture is very nice, though, especially around the eyes for night time.

Loving it!
Been using this every night for 1.5 weeks and my skin is feeling great! Smooth, soft and firm! Im getting some pimples on my cheeks but im very sure its not due to this because ive bumps there before starting on this. So can i say this is helping me to clear those bumps by turning them into pimples? Haha. I use this only on my cheeks as i got combination skin and im worried if this is too much for my t zone. My cheeks always feel dry in the winter but after using this, they are no longer dry! Since this is for prevention, im not expecting any miracles from it as long as i dun breakout from it (i got very reactive skin!). So far im loving it and the ingredient list really looks so good!! Im gonna get a full size for this!!

Chock-full of great ingredients!
What do I love about this stuff most? So many things! In short, it gives people with extremely sensitive skin a gentle option to treat their skin to beneficial anti-aging ingredients. No retinol, no alpha or beta-hydroxy acids, just silky-smooth, fast absorbing non-irritating goodness. No scent, no color. Makes my skin feel more comfortable and has not made me break out. It is easy to dispense but an airless pump would be nice, since the tube is always falling over on my shelf.

Great! Visibly Reduced Wrinkles!
I ran my own "test." I used this serum on only one side of my face. After 2 weeks the serum side is visibly better. The tiny wrinkles under my eye are visibly diminished on the serum side! Now time to share the wealth with the other side of my face. :) FYI I use only at night, only on key areas like eyes and laugh lines. If money were no object I would apply to entire face, neck, hands.

Too shiney
I have used one of Paula's antioxidant serums for years now, and I love them ... my skin is so silky and makeup goes on like a dream. However, after catching sight of myself several times in broad daylight, I can see that I have a 'shiney' look as opposed to a 'glow'. When I use her exfoliants alone, I have a lovely glow, with or without makeup. So I no longer use the serum under my makeup. BEST SERUM EVER!
The is literally the best serum ever. It makes my combination skin look lovely. I have not used any other serum product since I discovered this one. It has a slick consistency when first applied that you might find frightening if you have oily skin, but it soaks in in seconds and does not cause my skin to get oily at all. I'm getting a tube of this for my mom for her birthday next month!

Great product, Amazing results, can't put on chin
I really like the results of this product. It made my skin super soft and plumped. It even shrunk my pores overnight. I am fair skinned with very sensitive skin and blemish prone on my chin. I can't put any products on my chin other than Paula's regular strength Clear Toner. I was hoping that I would be able to use this on my chin, but it makes me breakout over night. Felt great but too shiny
I ordered a few samples of this product and love how it made my skin feel--really smooth and silky. I kept touching my face throughout the day because it felt so nice. But it did make my skin kind of shiny, which I don't really like. Some people like the "dewy" look, so that may not bother others but I'm going to try one of the other serums instead.

pleasant surprise
Liked it from the first, but found added benefits. I'm not sure why but I get these ugly red marks on my arms and hands, like a bruise, but deep red. I find this embarrassing, and would cover them with makeup. But - tried a tiny bit of this serum on one of these marks, and it lightened, then disappeared in a few days! And... I'd never had warts, then when pregnant (16 yrs ago!), got one on the back of my hand. Tried a few things, including the 'duct tape treatment' - no luck . But this product made the wart just about unnoticeable. Thanks!

Thanks and a possible solution for breakouts
When I first used the RESIST Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum, I had a couple of breakouts/pimples develop. I waited a few days, meanwhile being a 50+ with pimples! The next time I used the RESIST, I waited about 5 minutes for the serum to absorb into my skin, then applied a moisturizer. Since then I have had no more breakouts!

Great Value
I was looking for a less expensive alternative to Jan Marini's C-Esta, and this fit the bill. However, although I"m sure I'm getting the medical benefit of antioxidants, you don't get the same glow as you do with C-Esta, and because it's a little more like a gel than a liquid, emotionally it feels like it might not penetrate the skin as well. However, it's a lot less expensive. If money were no object, I'd probably buy C-Esta.

Great for Sensitive Skin!
I have very sensitive skin that reacts badly to antioxidant rich products. This serum however, is as gentle as water, and I can even slather it around my eyes (I'm paranoid about fine lines around my eyes). This is also not greasy, and works well on my whole face, even though I have a very oily t-zone. Highly recommend!

Incredible product!
This is an excellent product regardless of your skin type. I have extremely oily, breakout-prone skin & have never had any problems with it. In fact, it has made a very positive difference in my skin. I'm 43 years old & people constantly think that I'm in my early 30s - and I thank all of Paula's skincare line for that compliment!

Time for me to write another 5 star review
Nov.2011- this product is wonderful! The best! I own all 3 serums. I rotate SR serum and this serum at night and the SB serum I love to use in the morning as a makeup primer with tons of antioxidant. This serum works best when used after the Resist 5% and 10%. It makes my skin so bright,glowy and even. Don't forget to use on your neck. I wish I could afford to use this as a body serum but the cost compared to other serums on the market is so affordable and at least you know you that it is actually working. To get that glowly,even skin tone you must use a exfoliate so it can pentrate and work its magic!! And don't be put-off by the texture of this serum. It doesn't leave the skin oily or heavy it absorbs beautifully. I have almost collected every pc product and I've tried them all. If your having a hard time deciding what PC products will give u the best instant result ALWAYS go with a Toner,exfoliate and a serum! IMO those are the top 3 PC steps that give the greatest results. Ever since becoming a PC fan my skin looks amazing and I don't tread "getting ready for bed." My skin care routine is now a treat I get to give myself 2 times a day. Trust me!

I rubbed this on my neck a fews days as that is where I see aging, .. it got all itchy and red. I put it on my hands, they are ok. IT'S A PRIMER TOO!
I chose this serum becuase I use Retin A at night and BHA in the morning and heard that you should not use retinol and BHA/AHA products at the same time. Well, I have tried ALL primers and currently use HourGlass for #55 a pop. I tried this side by side and this one, this serum, actually looked BETTER than the hourglassm never mind all the good stuff it has in it. Now, my skin is dry and I use Skin Moisturizer, then Resist SPF 25 then this. This may not be so great if you have oily skin, but it was perfecct and better then Smashbox, Urban Decay, Hourglass, CoverFX, Too Faced - all the primers I have spent a fortion on. This serum is luxurious and in combination with my other PC products has made a noticeable difference in the look of my skin (which already looked pretty good thanks to treatments and lasers in the docs office). One of my Fav PC Products
Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum was one of the first PC products I ever purchased and 6 years later it's still one of my favorites. I use it every morning as a primer under makeup. It's not too greasy for my oily skin and I especially love that I can use it on my eyelids. Most products (even moisturizers) irritate my eyes. And I swear using the serum on my eyes has stalled the sagging! Plus if I have a little left over I can smooth it in my hair as a shine serum. Antioxidant Concentrate Serum
I cannot actually tell if antioxidants are doing anything for my skin, but I do know that this contains an impressive number of good-for-skin ingredients at a lower price than most. With no fragrance, and no allergic reaction, gentle enough for eyes, this (as well as the 5% AHA from the same line)will remain my one of my few skin care indulgences. At age 43, I think I will be glad later on.

Like the product
I have been using this serum for about 3 months. The texture is great and a little goes a long way. At first it felt too silicone-y and seemed to sit on the skin but that was because I had been applying more product than needed. I found that it is easiest to apply when mixed with moisturizer in the palm of my hand. I apply it even over the eye area including the eyelids without any problem which is great, because many antiodident rich moisturizers can sting / feel uncomfortable when applied over the lids. My skin looks and geels great, but honestly, I don't know how much of the improvement is due to this product alone because I have also been using the 2% bha and Resist Barrier Repair moisturizer. I think of this serum as a long time preventive nourishment for my skin.

Best Serum with Retinol!
At first I thought I didn't care for the way this serum felt on my face; I had been using the mattifying serum. Then, after watching the video, I realized I was using way too much product. This serum feels marvelous on my 62-yr-old, normal, light olive skin. I have transitioned a little too slowly from slightly oily/tendency-to-break- out normal skin to a mature normal that could use a little more moisture. I use the mattifying serum on hot, humid days and this serum at all other times.

I have been using PC products for several years, and love them. But this serum from the Resist line really works wonders on my skin. I have always had combo skin, and even with her other products I get a t-zone issue after a couple of hours. I just blot and move on. But there is something (dare I say magical?)about this serum. My skin is smooth, even-toned, and the t-zone seems to be under control. I'm in love. :) I use this with the Resist moisturizer, and my skin has never looked better. My skin was different the moment I started using it (I've been using it about a week now). All I can say is wow.

Wow! This is great!
Since the Resist line is on special for the time being I thought I'd give the products a try. The next morning after trying the antioxidant serum my skin was noticeably clearer. I've had red patches on my cheeks for years and years. Nothing would clear them, but they're nearly the same color as the rest of my face now after only a week. Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum
I have been an avid follower of Paula and Beautypedia for many years and have always trusted Paula and her team for unbiased advice on skincare and makeup. A self confessed makeup and product junkie...I was rescued once I read the revolutionary book Don't Go To The Cosmetics Counter Without Me about 7 years ago. I no longer feel the need to spend $250 on a jar of empty promises and I am happy to say that I have saved probably thousands due to the thorough research that is provided with Beautypedia and the updated versions of Paula's books. Intelligent, well written and a must for any woman who wants to look good (and have healthy looking skin) and spend a reasonable amount on beauty instead of an entire paycheck. I recently started using Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum. I have struggled with Rosacea for many years and have combination/ sensitive skin. Most products that were prescribed by dermatologists were too drying for treating the Rosacea effectively.Once the flare ups subsided, I was never able to find a product that met the requirements of making my skin feel comfortable. I tried almost every product that was recommended on Paula's Pick for Rosacea affected skin, but most burned or irritated me. expensive, not that effective
I have used this and the other Paula's Choice serums over the years and haven't found that they deliver as promised. I've used the RESIST serum to reduce irritation, for example, when I first started using the RESIST 5% AHA, but I find applying the RESIST toner first is effective. I find these serums to be thick, difficult to spread, sticky and tacky, and they don't deliver the results promised from the ingredients.

Perfect with Tretinoin
After using Renova every night for several months, I became concerned about the lack of multiple antioxidants I was providing for my skin. This serum seems tailor-made for me! I wait 1/2 hour after Renova application, then apply RESIST. RESIST gives me more good things for my skin. My skin always responds positively to Vitamin C, which gives my skin a healthy radiance, and I love the fact that RESIST doesn't add any heaviness in addition to Renova's moisturizing base.

Amazing!
I use this Resist Antioxidant Serum and alternate with the Matifying Antioxidant gel for oily skin when my skin is more oil prone, like near my period. I think they are great! They feel so silky soft and smooth going on and knowing that they are full of rich antioxidants my sundamaged skin needs is just ideal. I see the difference around my eyes mainly and forehead. I have a fair complexion, early 50's and have stubborn blackheads on my nose and chin mainly, sundamage under my eyes and cheek areas, neck and chest. Great for my oily/combo skin
I actually love this for my oily/combo skin, and I don't find it too heavy at all. It goes on a little oily and shiny at first but quickly dries down to a smooth finish. It is not a matte finish, however, which is why I only used this at night. I also think it makes a fabulous eye serum if you don't like it all over your face considering that it's shinier and oilier than Paula's other serum for oily skin. Besides that aspect, I found it made my skin look brighter, and I didn't break out from it. The quality and price point are just unbeatable!

Nice but is it necessary?
I have used one or another of PC antioxidant serums over the years, with this being the most recent. On the positive side, it has a lovely texture, absorbs quickly, and has never irritated my skin in any way (and in my case that is really saying something). On the negative side, it has never made any discernible difference in the feel or look of my skin. Perhaps more importantly, my PC toner is "antioxidant-rich" and my PC moisturizer has "proven antioxidants," so I fail to see the need for a separate, dedicated, rather pricey product. After this tube runs out I will simplify my routine by not replacing it.

I was hoping I could use this product but discovered I have rosacea. Not sure which ingredient is responsible for the flare up. I even gave it a second try months later, hoping it would not cause a flare up but it sure did! Extremely Disappointed

Even though it had somewhat of an oily base, it did nothing for my dry skin and made my under eye wrinkles more noticable, especially as the day progressed. Very pleased!
At first I thought this serum would be too sticky to let my face breathe, but that's not the case at all. I use it with the PC Toner and Hydralight moisturizer at night; after a month or so, my skin texture had improved and is less oily. I can tell my skin is healthier.

Makes me break out..
I was really hoping this would be my HG serum, as I really want to find one to include in my skincare routine. I have sensitive, acne-prone, combo skin. Unfortunately, this makes me breakout. I wish I would have returned it last year when I bought it but wanted to try it again at a later time to see if it really was the culprit of my breakouts and, unfortunately, it was. Really does a face good!
I have combination skin and I started by ordering many of Paula's samples. I love these products. This serum feels like it would be too oily for my combination skin but it does melt right in. And you only need a little bit so it lasts a long time. With the 2% BHA liquid and Matiffying sunscreen in a.m. and 8% AHA and Resist moisturizier at night, my skin has never looked better. P.S. The 2% BHA liquid also completely got rid of those annoying breakouts I was still getting at 45! I ran out once and tried something else and started breaking out again and skin just felt icky. Never again... have re-ordered Paul's stuff and skin is clear and glowing once again. This product line really works. I love this stuff!

Best eye serum I've found!
After a year's search through all-natural beauty products, I'm returning to Paula's skincare to get my acne and aging complexion under control again. I gave the 4 stars instead of 5, because I'd still love for the ingredients to be totally "au natural" (even though my skin does not seem to agree with most of the natural skincare out there!). Holy Grail Product!!!

As I am reading the reviews, I cannot help but sigh at the ones that moan and complain about the packaging change for this product. Obviously, Paula wanted to make this serum a part of her RESIST line, which makes perfect sense. As for the product itself... My skin is oily and prone to breakouts. This serum is too thick for the oily areas of my face, but a perfect solution for the skin under my eyes, which tends to be more normal. I have been using it for a few months and I swear that it is helping the undereye circles (I know what Paula says about products and undereye circles, but it's making a difference!). Overall, good product and I would most certainly use it underneath my night product if my skin wasn't so oily.

Soothing, smoothing, concentrated dose of goodies
I have used Paula's Antioxidant Concentrate Serum through its various reformulations and I feel the current version (repackaged as part of the RESIST line) is the best yet, though I wonder if it can become even better. When used sparingly, the product spreads easily onto the skin and imparts a lightweight, soothing, and smoothing dose of skin-beneficial ingredients that really seem to boost skin's health - both immediately and over time. There is no need to overzealously apply this serum as a little goes a long way, and at $24.95 per ounce you want to get your money's worth! The product contains a tiny amount of emollient oil, and I question the inclusion of such an ingredient in a product being pitched to all skin types (I would think oilier or blemish-prone skintypes would want to avoid any potentially occlusive ingredients, even in small doses). In my experience the product tends to change from almost crystal clear to a clear golden hue, and I wonder if this has to do with the packaging allowing a small amount of air to enter with each use - though I do find the packaging to be rather user-friendly. Overall I deem this serum a winer, though perhaps a few minor tweaks could make it a world champion!

fabulous ingredients, won't absorb
I am on the fence about this one. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ingredient profile. Thanks Paula for putting so many AWESOME ingredients into one product. There is simply NOT a better serum out there. I love this stuff! What's interesting is that it also happens to heal wounds/blemishes faster. One time I had this sore in the corner of my mouth that wouldn't go away....I have just brushed my teeth and was putting this antioxidant on my face and decided to just put a big blob of it on that sore....well, it started gtting better! in 2-3 days it was gone. Sicne then I tried that again...If I get annoying pimple I do squiz it and it gets ugly...but putting this on seems to heal them a lot faster than I remember those going away before.

Nice finish but break out city
I have used PC products for YEARS and loved them. I got this product to try to address the fact that my skin is getting older. It had a very nice finish and texture, but made me breakout really badly. Luckily the Skin Recovery serum makes my skin look and feel like a million bucks without any breakouts. If one PC product isn't doing the trick, try another one! I've always found an amazing product to replace one that is troublesome!

Miracle product!
I have fairly oily skin and have been using the Mattyfying serum for years with good results, but lately I've been experiencing more dryness around the eyes during the fall and winter. I decided to try a sample of the Resist serum just around my eyes, and it works. No more tight dryness! It's worked so well that I've now started trying it on another problem area; flaky, inflamed and cracked skin on my ears, of all places. In just 1 day, the flakiness is gone, the redness has gone down, and the painful cracks have started to heal. I've tried so many moisturizers on this problem, including several others of Paula's, and none seemed to work. I was beginning to despair, so you can imagine my relief to have finally found the right one! Will definitely be buying the full tube before my sample runs out.

Keeps skin supple and glowing
Initially I didn't really like the texture of this serum because it was so oily, but after putting it on for 5 minutes ago my skin becomes so radiant and supple! I only use it on target areas like the creases on my neck, around my eyes, and the sides of my nose that are really dry. I tried using it on my whole face and that was just too oily. A Reluctant Review
First of all, I LOVE all of Paula's Choice products and have been using them for several years with full satisfaction. I am 52 years young and have used the regular Super Antioxidant serum with great results. However, the Resist Super Antionidant Concentrate Serum, for some reason, has given me pimples (or perhaps blocked pores). In the past, my skin has never been prone to breakouts. Please believe that I am not saying that this product is not worthy but rather that my skin reacted to it. I do, however, love the Resist Barrier Repair Moisturizer which seems to agree with my skin. Consequently, I will switch back to the regular Antioxidant Serum that I was using before and remain a happy customer!

Not the Effect I'd Hoped For
I have the utmost faith in Paula's products, so I can accept that my reaction may be highly indivdual. I had seen such an improvement in my skin since I started following the Normal to Oily regimen (for skin lightening) that I took it for granted that this serum would be an extra beneficial step. Wrong! The morning after using this product, I woke up with the giant pores that had gradually shown great improvement before I tried this product. I've always had combination skin, but now that in my late 50s the dry parts are getting drier and the oily parts oilier. If you have that problem, use with care.

Incredibly Soothing

Not for oilier skin types
I love Paula's skin care products and was excited to try the Resist Antioxidant serum when I used the last of my Skin Balancing Antioxidant serum. I was so disappointed to find the texture of the Resist product to feel heavy, greasy and sticky. Although it does sink in fairly quickly, I don't recommend this product for those of us with oilier skin types. Stick to the skin balancing version.

Beautiful!
I love this serum! A little goes a long way and I use it around my entire eye area as well as my face. I don't understand the concerns about packaging as it seems fairly airtight. Putting it in a pump would make it bulkier to tote around for travelling. I use this at night as I need something mattifying for the day with my sunscreen and foundation. However, in the dry winter weather I switch back to the serum twice a day. BTW, it's a great primer for foundation. This product contains Vitamin C but no Retinol. I'd love to see a serum one day that contains both...

Economical Functional Serum
I have dry porcelain skin. I have tried a variety of serums. I have been using this serum for a short time, and the effect it's having on my skin is visible. I like that this product has no odor and a good variety of antioxidants. Some of the other reviewers criticized the packaging and price of this product. I don't like pump bottles because they malfunction. A squeeze tube does not usually malfunction. And the value of this product is truly amazing. A few months ago I paid $49.00 for a 0.5 fl.oz bottle of serum that contained fewer antioxidants than Paula's Choice Resist Serum. And Paula's Resist Serum moisturizes my dry skin. Please don't change this product or discontinue it. Thank You!

Wonderful serum for my allergic skin
I have allergic skin type. After subscribing to Paula's beautypedia website and read some of her reviews on products I've used in the past. I truly believe what she said. Made me break out
Man, I was so excited to use this evidence-based anti-aging serum without retinol, but unfortunately it broke me out after a few days of use. I noticed that Paula doesn't list any serums on her rosacea recommendations page, and now I see why. Very Good
This is one of the best antioxidant serums I have ever tried. It is as if it encourages the skin to heal itself, to glow from within. The only reason why I did not give it a 5 star rating is because I find it to have too much silicone (dimethicone) in it. It feels as if I putting on hair serum on my face and my skin does not readily absorb the texture.

This product is so soft and silky and seems to be working great on the crease lines on my face. Question: I have dry spots around the eyes, below the brow. Would it be the dry shadow powder I use? Is Super
I've tried about 6-8 samples of this and just placed an order for the full size. First few times I tried samples, I only used a very, very tiny amount - I was terrified it would cause an acne flare-up. Initially, I didn't like the way it felt at all. I still can't quite figure out what changed (maybe first samples were a bit different?), but I really came to like it AND I noticed a difference in my skin after a few more consistent uses. I've been using Resist Remarkable Lightening 2% BHA and with the Resist Super Antioxidant, my skin is much more even-toned and healthy. Serum sinks right in when the right amount is applied and my skin feels super-soft and firm. Pretty good price, considering many of the ingredients in this serum are pricey. Great value, exceptional ingredients!

Stop Whining - this product is great!!
Paula herself needs to definitively address the packaging issue. It is opaque, the opening is miniscule, it is in a package that protects the antioxidants. Works great, just sinks right in. If your skin is really oily use the mattifying antioxidant serum instead.

DON'T CHANGE A THING ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
Please do not change anything about this product, including the packaging. I love how this product works and feels. I have no problem whatsoever with the packaging. I think it's perfect and cannot understand why everyone makes such a fuss about it not being airtight. It's in an opaque tube and the opening is so tiny! I also love the formulation - I normally have sensitivity to silicones but my skin just loves this product and I've had no issues or negative reaction to it (and I even use it all around my eyes). Again, PLEASE, don't fix what's not "broken"! :o)

Perfect AS IS
Don't change a thing Paula. THe serum is perfect as is the packaging. ANd I wholeheartedly disagree with the reviewer who wanted the serum put in the same type container as the Resist Moisturizer. In my opinion, although there is nothing really wrong with the Resist Moisturizer's packaging, to me that type packaging allows for too much wasted product when you get down to the bottom. I would never second-guess Paula's choices though (no pun intended)...I mean, afterall. SHE is the expert.

Stupendous Creation
Great product for sensitive dry skin that cannot tolerate Retinol. Resist causes absolutely no irritation and no redness. Wrinkles around the mouth are smoother, skin is unbelievable soft. As long as the product works, packaging is irrelevant.

It seems as though one person made a comment about "air tight" packaging and then everyone jumped on the same wagon with exactly the same complaint. Are all of you experts in packaging? Ever taken a physics class? The chances of enough air passing back through the serum opening that is millimeters in size, and for a viscous fluid to travel back up the elongated tube is nominal. Seriously? These don't seem like ligitimate complaints - more like a concerted effort to act like a bunch of haters or a competitor.

Please make a formula for Oily/Acne Prone Skin
I like the protection that this serum offers and the packaging, but the texture does not work for my very oily skin. Paula, please, please, please, make a antioxidant serum with the high protection offered in your super antioxidant serum for those of us with oily/acne prone skin! What would be the ultimate is giving oily/acne prone/roseaca skin types a high spf suncreen with lots of antioxidants that works for our skin and doesn't make us breakout...that would be awesome! Superantioxidant Concentrate exposure to oxygen
I disagree with some of the opinions that the entire contents of this product are exposed to oxygen because the tip is a needlenose type and the only amount of the product exposed to oxygen is the pinhead amount that sits at the tip.

An great product upgrade
I read the other reviews here about the ingredients being the same and only ordered a sample. After an item by item comparison of the ingredients, the Resist version has several different (and upgraded in my opinion) ingredients. True, there are several ingredients that are the same as the other serums, but this is not the same product in a different package. It feels slightly richer and thicker to me, and I swear I already notice a difference. After a year of using Paula's products, both the dermatologist and aethestician comment on the great condition of my skin.

Great for soothing skin

What a combo for skin...
This serum applied underneath the Resist Lotion is my potion for nighttime skincare. I apply just a couple of drops warmed between my fingers to my entire face after my exfoliant. The Resist lotion goes on next. In the morning, my skin is super soft, clear and smooth. Excellent products.
