Awsome!
LOVE this hand cream! Your hands are a tell all when it comes to age and this is a great sunscreen to protect them with added anti aging benefits!

Best Facial SPF *so far*
This is the best facial SPF I have tried so far. It's a great physical sunscreen with no irritating ingredients, some antioxidants, no greasy after-feel and no white cast. I would give this sunscreen maybe 4.5 stars, because it's not quite perfect. I wish it had a bit more slip to it so it could be easier to apply, like the RESIST Anti-Aging Hydrator. The sunscreen sets into my skin almost too fast upon application before I can spread it across my face. Also, I wish the sunscreen had a few more antioxidants and have them in higher concentrations, because it seems like there are a lot more thickeners in this product in the higher concentrations. Also, this hand SPF was formulated with fewer antioxidants than the other facial sunscreens in the other PC lines. Nonetheless, this is my staple facial SPF for now! Customer Care Response: Thank you for your comments. All the products do contain a potent blend of antioxidants and cell communicating ingredients in the formulas and will definitely benefit the skin to stimulate collagen, repair damaged skin cells, and prevent free radical damage. We will certainly pass along your comments and feedback to Paula and feel free to check out: Beautypedia.com for other options which you may consider trying. Please contact customer care with any questions.

This BELONGS on the Face!
I don't like hand creams and never use them. I ordered this based on the reviews from people using it as a facial sunscreen and ey are right! The formula is light and gentle, the sunscreens are physical, and this wears very nicely under makeup, which is not necessarily the case for the Cellular Defense SPF cream, which can be very thick and shiny. I am very pale so the slight whitish cast does not bother me at all and is less noticeable than with many other physical sunscreens I've used. For a facial sunscreen, I find the price very reasonable and would like to see this product offered in a larger tube.
—Heather
FAB FACIAL SUNSCREEN!!
This is absolutely THE BEST facial sunscreen I've ever used! I don't wear foundation because my skin is very even toned since I've been using the Resist line. I have been using the Skin Balancing Mattifying formula sunscreen, and I now rotate the two. This sunscreen doesn't leave a white cast, but it's almost like a smooth foundation finish on my mature, slightly olive skin. I just love it. It's a very polished look by the time I add blush and eye make up. Very pleased. Oh. By the way, an excellent non-greasy hand formula, too. I am so pleased with the entire Resist line. My husband's Irish complexion has improved, too!

Dual Purpose Sunscreen!
I was looking for a higher SPF sunscreen for an upcoming vacation for my oily skin and this is it! Works great under makeup - I bought several tubes and I keep one on my desk at work to put on my hands before I go outside for a walk. It has a nice texture for those of us that work with computers. Just wish this came in a bigger size.

Awesome facial sunscreen
Prior to this, the only PC sun product I used on my face was the weightless spray, and the chemical sunscreens started to irritate my facial skin when I used it a few days in a row, and I always got color with it, despite applying it properly. (I'm still using that one for my arms, for ease of application, and because I don't normally apply sunscreen there anyway.) I had rotten luck with Paula's other mineral sunscreens - they sat on top of my skin in a greasy layer, and accentuated every last dry flake. It was like rubbing diaper rash ointment on my face! So I didn't have high hopes for this one - but lo and behold, it doesn't accentuate my dry skin, it's moisturizing without being greasy, it sinks into the skin like Olay SPF 15 for Sensitive Skin does not, and it leaves a barely perceptible white cast (which doesn't look bad at all - mind you, I'm very pale). Best of all, no stinging when I apply, and no flaring of my rosacea! :) So we have a winner! I think the price is reasonable for the amount you get, it's about in line with Olay and other drugstore brands, and I only plan to use this on my face, anyway.

Way Too Expensive!
I am a life-time Paula's Choice customer whom absolutely loves every product I have used - the complete skin care lines, body products, and cosmetics. As a trained cosmetologist, I greatly appreciate the superb ingredients, and results I have experienced. I have been searching for a high quality hand cream, like Paula's Resist Hand Cream for multiple challenging skin issues, including extreme Eczema. However, it is way TOO expensive for such a small amount. I would like to see a similar product and price for at least 6 oz. + (and there are a few others avaialable), but I feel very loyal to all of the research, energy, and time Paula has thoughtfully invested in her product lines and company. Will you please consider creating a larger, high quality, lower cost hand cream, consistent with the good value of her other products? I prefer to stay completely with Paula's Choice products. Thank you very much. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. We will certainly credit you for this product since you were not happy with it but cannot locate this product on your account. Please contact customer care to find the product on your account. We do want to mention any of Paula's Choice sunscreens may be used for the hands and face. The Pure Mineral Sunscreen SPF 15 is a great option which comes in a larger container or the Extra Care Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 30. Paula realizes that her products may not always meet everyone's beauty budget but because she is so deeply committed to making sure women use only the best products possible she has created Beautypedia.com for other sunscreen options. Please contact customer care with any questions.

Facial sunscreen!!
I purchased this due to the other reviewers who said it worked as a facial sunscreen. It is a pretty awesome facial sunscreen! Not quite as moisturizing as the Resist SPF 25 but close. With a slightly higher SPF and a slightly more matte finish it's a great one for under make-up.
—Happy Customer
Great for the face
Forget the hands - This is a superb SPF mineral sunscreen for the face. I have combination / blemished skin and this works beautifully: it sinks in and leaves my skin very calm and smooth. Follow with a dab of Shine Stopper for a flawless finish. Highly recommended!!!
—Happy Customer
Love It!
I've been looking for a new facial moisturizer for a while now, and when I read that many people are using this product on their face, I decided to give it a try. I love it, it is wonderful! The texture is light and the cast is not white at all (which generally isn't too much of a problem for me anyway, because I am so fair.) I love that it is fragrance free, and it is nearly $10 less than my previous brand (and the amount is exactly the same.) I now use all Paula's Choice skincare products, and will never go back to any other brand. Since switching to all PC products this year, I've received three compliments on my "beautiful skin" (even though I've always had nice skin, no one has ever said anything until recently, and I am 39!) Thanks so much for your products, Paula... they make such a big difference for people!
—Katie
Not bad at all for a multi purpose face cream
I've been using this as a facial sunscreen on my sensitive oily-combination skin and this is not bad at all. It does leave a sheen on the t-zone but this actually really does disappear with a Paula's Choice shine stopper. This would be perfect for winter. It's not as non greasy as the SPF 30 spray but it's still a pretty wonderful thing to have.
—Nicole
Disappointing
This cream is heavy, greasy, and overpriced. I tend to like PC products, but not this one. It does not have any niacinamide or retinol or other ingredient that justifies the price. I prefer using the Olay Regenerist SPF50 face cream which is equally expensive, but offers ingredients that have done wonders for my face. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your comments. We are sorry to hear of your experience with the product. We will be sure to share your feedback with Paula. We will credit you for the product in the meantime. Please contact customer care with any questions or concerns.

Best Facial Sunscreen Ever
In my opinion, this is the best facial sunscreen Paula has. The texture makes it very easy to apply, and it leaves my face moisturized but not shiny. The texture and the fact it's SPF 30 (using Titanium and Zinc) make it perfect for using on my face. Other products with SPF 30 haven't work for me, but this one does. Maybe Paula should add "And Face" to the packaging.
—Brett
What a tiny tube!
I bought this to use on my face since it is an all-mineral sunscreen with an SPF 30 rating. I can't believe anyone would buy this tiny tube at this price for their HANDS. I think it's too expensive even for face cream--I've used PC's 6oz. bottles of Mineral Sunscreen SPF 15 for years & my skin looks great. I like the fact that PC recommends small amounts of night time creams & serums--at '2 pumps' & '2 drops' they last a long time. But sun screen should be applied fairly liberally, right? If so,this product is just too expensive for me. Thank heavens PC makes the Mineral Sunscreen so economical! Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. We will certainly credit you for this product since you were not happy with it but do want to mention any of Paula's Choice sunscreens may be used for the hands and face. The Pure Mineral Sunscreen SPF 15 such as you have mentioned is a great option. Paula realizes that her products may not always meet everyone's beauty budget but because she is so deeply committed to making sure women use only the best products possible she has created Beautypedia.com for other sunscreen options. Please contact customer care with any questions.

Good, but tiny!
This is a good product, I like the texture and the scent-less scent (Paula's choice body products tend not to smell very good) is ok. My only complaint is the price. Really overpriced for the size. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. We will credit you for this product since you were not happy with it but do want to mention any of the Paula's Choice sunscreens may be used for the hands. Was Hoping For More
Let me start off by saying that I am a fan of Paula's Choice products. However, this hand cream was a bit disappointing. I needed a hand cream with SPF that moisturized my dry, flaky hands, but absorbed quickly and was non-greasy. This cream did not work and left me with greasy hands. I love the feel of "Eucerin Dry Skin Therapy plus Intensive Repair Hand Cream," but it doesn't contain SPF. Because I like other products in Paula's skincare line, I was hoping for more in this cream. :( Customer Care Response: Thank you for your comments. We will be sure to share your experience with the product to Paula and her Product Development Manager. We will send samples of our other sunscreens that may be used on the hands. In the meantime we will credit you for the product and feel free to contact customer care with any questions.

Amazing
After reading the reviews for this hand cream, I purchased it as a sunscreen for my face rather than a hand cream (as it is a bit pricy for that). I have NEVER been able to use sunscreen on my face before - I would use makeup with SPF on top of oil free moisturizers with SPF 15 because EVERY sunscreen I ever tried would either break me out (even the sensitive, oil free formulas from Neutrogena, Nivea, Olay, etc.), or it felt awful on my skin, making it so shiny and slick, I would have to constantly blot it, or it would sting when I applied sunscreen before going to the gym. This hand cream is the best facial sunscreen ever. I cannot believe that there was a product out there all along that you can just put on your face without having to anticipate any bad effects. I can actually just put it on and go on with my life - no trips to the bathroom to check on the status of the oil spill on my face, no burning (especially around the eyes) when working out, no breakouts. This product is AMAZING.

HG facial SS, we meet at last!
This is my HG facial sunscreen, but first let's talk about hands. This has a pretty dry finish so it's great for hands when you have to use them for phones, keyboards, driving, etc., but it's not very emollient. I like to keep it in my purse so I can touch up my hands in the car and fend off those age spots on the backs of hands (I'm 31, so far so good, but this is about prevention!). I actually got this because the PC folks recommended it for my face (apparently Paula uses it on her own face). I was looking to replace my beloved Shiseido Urban Environment, which has too much alcohol and fragrance in it (doesn't seem to bother me but I'm terribly vain and want to use the BEST stuff). This has a very similar texture and satin/matte finish, but without fragrance or bad alcohols. It does contain antioxidants (not as much as some of her other SS's, but I'm getting loads of antioxidants from my other PC products, lol), and the best thing is that it's a physical sunscreen so it's SUPER gentle and you don't have to wait 20 min. to go outside. Oh wait, the REALLY best thing is that this only costs $15!!!!!!!! Um, bye-bye $35 Shiseido UE!
—Brianna V.
overall just okay
Overall I felt it was a decent hand cream mostly because it is fragrance-free and contains SPF. It was a bit too greasy for me and not moisturizing enough - once it was absorbed my my skin, my hands felt only a little less dry than prior to using. I liked it for my face however, which is combination to dry, but felt it was not worth the money for a hand lotion. Would not purchase again. Sorry. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your comments. We will be sure to share your experience with the product to Paula and her Product Development Manager. Feel free to check www.beautypedia.com for other options. In the meantime we will credit you for the product and feel free to contact customer care with any questions.

Perfect size for my purse!
I always need to reapply sunscreen on my hands, since I wash them frequently through the day. This product is perfectly portable! Good sunscreen is expensive, anywhere, so, this price is not out of line.
—Jeannine
Great for sensitive combo skin on the face
I'm quite impressed with this. It's more matte then "Skin Balancing Daily Mattifying Lotion SPF 15 & Antioxidants". After a 8 hour work shift there was only a slight sheen to the skin that looked very natural and was not obvious. When I applied a mattifying lotion on top it did keep it quite matte all day long. The texture does feel very creamy and moisturising and sinks in nicely. Would recommend it for the face as well as hands. The only down size is the size is small for the price you pay.
—Nicole
good for sun protection, but not for moisturizing
I was very excited to see a Paula's Choice hand cream. I am very pleased with the sun protection that it offers and that it's not greasy. However, my hands require something more moisturizing. I use this product when I'm about to go outside, but I need an additional hand lotion to moisturize my hands. I also feel it is pricey, so I try to only use it during the day when I need the sun protection. I also like using it on the lips for sun protection. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your feedback, it will certainly be passed along to Paula and her Product Development Team. If you want a hand cream that is more moisturizing you would want to try one designed for dry or very dry skin types as these would be the most emollient formulas. You may consider our Extra Care Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 30+ or our Pure Mineral Sunscreen SPF 15. We will send you these samples to try and in the meantime have credited you for this product. Please contact customer care with any questions or concerns.

Sunscreen?
Looks and feels like a sunscreen and does nothing to moisturize my winter-dry hands. Actually left my hands chalky, as other reviewer mentioned, and did not absorb well into my hands. Should probably be marketed as a sunscreen rather than a hand cream. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that this product did not fully meet your expectations and we will be sure to pass along your comments to Paula and her team directly. We will credit you for the product promptly and send samples of other daytime moisturizers with sunscreen that that you may find more moisturizing. Please contact customer care with any questions, we are happy to help.

Best facial sunscreen I've tried!
As a facial sunscreen, this hand cream is the best! I have oily/combination skin and have been using Paula's Skin Balancing Daily Mattifying Lotion with SPF, and layering Smashbox's PhotoFinish Primer Light over that. This new hand cream offers an even more matte finish AND with the added benefit of not irritating the skin around my eyes. It doesn't sting AT ALL and I will use it forever if Paula keeps it in her product lineup. Bravo!
—Michele
Great Sunscreen For Sensative Skin
Like others I have found I really like to use this lotion on my face as well as my hands. It does not leave a white cast and it does not irratate my very sensative skin. This lotion is great to use around the eye area. Also, I get small patches of psoriasis on my face and the zinc oxide actually helps heal and reduce the scaling on the irrated area on my face . Love it!!!
—Barbara Cook
My favorite facial sunscreen ever
I have never left a review for a product even though I've been using Paula's Choice for years, but I am so impressed by this sunscreen. I use this on my face, not my hands, and I'm amazed how it sinks in to leave no white cast and no shine. I was actually worried I hadn't applied it liberally enough, so I put more on and it was still virtually invisible! I prefer it to the Resist Cellular Defense Daily Moisturizer SPF 25, which is shinier and whiter. I hope this is never discontinued. I can't rave about this enough!
—Jessica
Love everything but the price!
It's a wonderful cream for hands or face, but way too expensive (or should I say too small a container.) Yet I want a small container in my purse. Suppose you put two in the same package? That would help.
—Jill
Great for face
I think the tube is way too tiny for a hand cream, as others have pointed out. After reading some of the reviews, I decided to try it on my increasingly picky face, and LOVE it. For a physical sunscreen, it has a MUCH more emolient texture and less of a chalky-white cast than a lot of them that I have tried. Good product!
—D. Jones
Not what I expected, but....
This hand cream is not what I expected in that it is not a super moisturizing hand cream. I was disappointed until I kept using it and noticed that my hands actually LOOK better! This hand cream does make my hands look "less old" (fading the brown spots, less wrinkled, etc) and works will as a base before another more moisturizing lotion. Now I love it and will keep using it.
—Renee
Wonderful SPF for your face
I have been searching for a mineral based SPF for my acne- prone, sensitive face for a very long time. Who would have guessed I would find it in a hand cream! This product works perfectly for me. It goes on smooth without a sticky or heavy feeling that most mineral sunblocks often have. It also gives my face a natural look, not shiny or ghostly white or grey. Thank you Paula and team for this product!!!
—Melissa
Nice
I received a sample of this and I loved it. It's so silky. And despite higher SPF has a less of a white cast than the Pure Mineral Sunscreen SPF15. I can see how people with very dry skin might find this not emollient enough, it has a dryer finish. That's why I think I'll order it for my face. I have combination skin. The only question I have is, how is this different from the other Resist Sunscreen cream (aside from SPF being slightly higher). Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review! The Resist SPF 25 contains a greater amount of anti-aging ingredients and is also a more moisturizing formula than the Resist Hand Cream. Please contact customer care with any questions, we are happy to help!
—Lucy
Works Great!
This hand cream really does disappear into the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. I was a bit surprised to find that my hands feel soft and stay that way for hours, because no other hand cream does that for me!
—Pauline
Love it--make it bigger!!!
This hand cream is perfect. It isn't smelly and it has a great finish. I thoroughly LOVE everything Paula makes, and I was not disappointed with this product EXCEPT for its teeny-weeny size for the price. I wash my hands often enough during the day that I need my hand cream to be economical. I apply facial moisturizer once at night and once in the morning. Small sizes for facial products are reasonable. Hand cream, however, usually comes in large sizes for a good reason. I have to reapply hand cream pretty much every time I wash my hands. That's a LOT of hand cream. The small size plus super premium price make this product too expensive to be practical for me. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your feedback, it will certainly be passed along to Paula and her Product Development Team. You may consider our Extra Care Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 30+ or our Pure Mineral Sunscreen SPF 15 which are available in larger sizes. We will send you these samples to try. Please contact customer care with any questions or concerns.

Non-greasy for face, dries quickly on hands
ON HANDS - this dries very quickly (which a DAYTIME hand cream SHOULD!). However, for the same reason, it "feels" less "comforting" to dry hands than you'd expect from a hand cream. The highest SPF protection for hands I've ever seen, & irritant-free in the PC tradition, so bravo Paula. A little too pricey for such a little tube for hands though!
ON FACE - this goes on non-greasy, no visible white cast after a few minutes, no pilling/flaking, BUT, on me anyway, it had a curious drying effect on the face by the end of the day. I may save this for summer & stick to my Olay Sensitive SPF 30 for face for winter (although the Olay is NOT all-physical sunscreen unfortunately. Sigh).
—T
Not moisturizing enough ...
Not really impressed with the hand cream, it does not provide enough moisture for my really dry hands. The Cellular Defense Daily Moisturizer with SPF25 (pricey for hand cream) seems to work better for me. I have been using Paula's Choice products for more than a decade and am very happy with most of the products I have tried. There is on occasion a few products that I have not happy with but there hasn't been many. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your feedback, it will certainly be passed along to Paula and her Product Development Team. Really any product with sunscreen can be used as a hand cream. If you want one that is more moisturizing you would want to try one designed for dry or very dry skin types as these would be the most emollient formulas. You may consider our Extra Care Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 30+ or our Pure Mineral Sunscreen SPF 15. We will send you these samples to try and in the meantime have credited you for this product. Please contact customer care with any questions or concerns.

passes the iPad test!
I just tried this product for the first time this morning. It comes out quite heavy and white, but amazingly absorbs completely and quickly. It left no sticky film (which is the primary reason that I don't use hand creams). I picked up my iPad one hour later, and had no hand cream trace on the screen!!!! A bit pricey but considering the quality, I'm giving this a 5-star rating.

Best PC Facial SPF
Fan of Paula's forever and use all her products but I have been waiting forever to finally get a PC SPF for the face that I love. Who knew it would finally happen with a handcream? Moisture Boost was just OK, love the SPF 30 spray but leaves my face too shiney, Resist SPF didn't like the glowy-finish, and on and on. I just never found a PC SPF for the face that made me want to make it part of my routine every day. Now I have. I have slightly dry skin (more dry in the winter) and this works great. It is lightly moisturizing (I still use resist moisturizer and serum under it right now because it's winter) but the best part is the finish and how it wears. It's not matte, but it's not flat either and no shine. It dries to a nice, almost satin matte finish and doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything extra. And best of all, no shine hours later like I do with so many other SPF products. There is just a hint of a whitening effect from the mineral SPF, but barely a hint. Actually another review said it, it almost has a nice diffusing effect on my skintone/pores etc. I mix in a bit of a mineral makeup with SPF in a bronzer color from one of the makeup artist lines that's a Paula's pick to tone down the whitening effect and give a hint of warmth and bam, my perfect facial SPF. We need this in a much larger size and it needs to be labled for face, body and hands. I'd use this for my neck and arms daily if it weren't so expensive/small tube. Hint, hint to product development.
—John
A 'must-try'!
This product does double-duty for me as a hand sunscreen AND a sunscreen for my face. I really like it as a facial sunscreen because it has a nice non-shiny, non-sticky finish and works well under makeup--no greasy feeling and it lasts all day. It does tend to lighten my foundation a bit but any mineral-based suncreen will do this. Since Paula offers sample sizes of this I've been able to keep some in my car and some at home, perfect for travel. I ordered a full size--the price is a bargain for such a quality formula, nice finish, and reliable high SPF protection.
—Stephanie
To expensive
i received this as a sample with my order. i was so excited to see that paula had a hand cream with antioxidants and spf. i am really impressed with the product. i am black and have found no whitish cast at all. it absorbs nicely and makes my hands feel soooo soft. the problem is the price. hand cream needs to be applied all day when your hands are dry and after washing. and while the antioxidants are a fantastic addition if i am going to just keep washing them away i feel it is an unnecessary addition. i think 2 different hand creams would have been a beter idea. one with antioxidants that you can apply before bed and first thing in the morning, and one with just spf 30 that you can apply all day. i see nothing wrong with a 'luxury' hand cream loaded with antioxidants for use twice a day. but for an all day use this is way to expensive and the spf while lying in my bed at night is useless. i have gone with the avon luminosity hand cream as per paula's recommendations, as it is not only cheaper but only gets applied twice daily and i like the feel. for day time use i will either use the avon hand cream and layer sunscreen over top or go with an spf lotion product. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your comments. Any of Paula's moisturizers may be used as a hand cream. A great price point option rich with antioxidants is our Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask which is a creamy moisturizing cream that many use as a hand cream throughout the day. When you do go outdoors or will be in direct light from a window you would want to cover your hands with any sunscreen. Another great price point option is our Extra Care Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 30+ which is moisturizing and loaded with beneficial ingredients, most importantly it will protect your skin from the sun. These are on sale for a limited time in December so feel free to try them at an even greater discount! We hope these suggestions help, please contact customer care with any questions.

perfect daytime hand cream
To me this is a perfect hand cream for day time use. It feels moisturizing but leaves a nice finish that does not interfere with playing golf, using a phone touchscreen, etc. I need the sunscreen especially for golf and see this as reasonably priced. I used to purchase a much more expensive department store hand sunscreen, and am so glad I found this now. As for the dry feel, first I don't feel this as really dry anyway, but that said, there are plenty of really "moist" creams out there for the hands that can be used at night without interfering with daytime activities. This is exactly the feel I want for daytime and I will be using and repurchasing this product.
—Ann
Non-greasy, non-irritating, SPF hand treatment
RESIST Ultimate Anti-Aging Hand Cream SPF 30 + Antioxidants has an elegant base and absorbs quickly to provide broad spectrum sun protection for two parts of the body that endure lots of elemental exposure - the hands. The packaging is both convenient and portable, making this easy to reapply throughout the day after extended sun exposure, hand washing, etc. I can see why some reviews suggest this product may not be moisturizing enough for very dry skin (those seeking additional moisture may wish to try the RESIST Cellular Defense Daily Moisturizer with SPF 25 & Antioxidants, which I ordered for my hands before this product was available). However, many creams intended for the hands are very greasy and never seem to absorb (rendering a person useless after application) and, thankfully, this is not one of those hand creams. It is also great to find a daytime hand cream that does not irritate my skin or eyes, and that applies smoothly and seemingly without a trace. The price is a tad steep but no worse than comparable products sold by prestige cosmetic lines, and at least the Paula's Choice brand gives a sense of value since you are buying a high quality item that will prove effective for its intended purpose and possibly other uses (e.g. some reviewers use this for both hands and face). I wish this product contained a greater amount of antioxidants, but as Paula says it is better to have some antioxidants than to have none at all! I would buy this again based on the positive experience I've had using it and my overall confidence in Paula's Choice. It is definitely worth a try to see if it works for you.
—Joe
Nice, but too Expensive
Thank you for including a sample of this hand cream with my last order. I really enjoyed its smooth consistency. It's really a great concept, but unfortunately does not fit my budget--and I do splurge on a lot of Paula's products! I realize that the ingredients make this hand cream more expensive, and yes, I am aware that I can check Beautydpedia for something that "fits my budget"....I'm just disappointed, frankly, that Paula would make a product whose price makes it impractical for so many of us. :( I always remember her excellent point that one should not use a sunscreen product that is so expensive that one hesitates to use enough for adequate coverage. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. We can assure you all review feedback is passed along to Paula. You may consider our Extra Care Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 30+ or our Pure Mineral Sunscreen SPF 15 which are larger containers at a lower price point since they contain less potent ingredients than the Resist Hand Cream. We will send you these samples to try and in the meantime. Please contact customer care with any questions or concerns.

Awsome customer service
Ok, I posted a negative review about this product, and then the Paula's Choice team refunded my purchase price. Absolutely awsome customer service. I did not request a refund but they did it anyways. I use many Paula's Choice products and have for years, which I believe are the reason I look 45 when I am 53. Didn't care for the SPF30 handcream but I LOVE many Paula's Choice products and will always be a loyal customer.

For face!
This is too expensive for a hand cream. I use it on face. Actually, I wrote to Paula earlier that I need a mineral sunscreen for oily-to-very oily skin. But she never replies to me :-( It is an irony that all my sunscreen demands come true in a hand cream. This is a 5-stars product for my face! it is less moisturizing than Moisture Boost SPF. But for hands?? this products is not moisturizing enough for Chicago winter. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you are not happy with this product but will pass along your comments to Paula. Paula cannot always respond to every email as she does receive thousands per day. Feel free to give us a call at: 1-800-831-4088 with any questions or concerns in the future. Formulating a mineral sunscreen for oily/combination skin is difficult as it will generally be too heavy but will pass along your comment to Paula and her Product Development Team for consideration. As you have mentioned this product is great for the face and if it does not feel too heavy for you, you may certainly use it for the face. Paula actually uses this on her face too! We will credit you for the product and send samples of other moisturizers with sunscreen that may be used for your hands. Please contact us with any questions, we are happy to help!

Hang in there.
when I started using this it seemed to actually dry out my skin. I tried using it less but I found I needed to use another handcream over it to get some moisture. I was ready to send it back. Put after about 10 days, I looked down and my hands looked better than they have in years. It was as if the cream worked like an exfoliant, dry skin at first then once all the old skin has sloughed off you get to softer, less spotted skin. My advice is to use it every few days for the whole trial period. I think if you hang in there it may work as well as it has for me.

I need more hydration
I thought the idea was excellent but after trying it, I find it is not hydrating enough so I still need to put a rich hand cream + a sun screen.

Not moisturizing enough
This product is simply not moisturizing enough for the hands. If you want a sunscreen hand lotion to feel like you have absolutely nothing on your hands, this is for you. What I was hoping for was a sunscreen for hands that has a nice cushiony feel to it, very much like the Paula's Choice Beautiful Body Butter. If this product had a sunscreen, it would be perfect. I want my dry hands to be moisturized, but not feel greasy. This one certainly will protect your hands from the sun, but it does nothing to aleviate dryness. I feel it even accentuates the dry look of my 53-year-old hands. This product is the first miss for me. I have used other products that were not right for me, but I could see they would be great for others. But this one I just don't see the point if it does not also moisturize in addition to the UVA/UVB protection. Exactly What I've Been Looking For!
This hand sunscreen is exactly what I've been looking for! This has quickly become my HG for hand creams. It's really hard to find a sunscreen that has a high enough zinc oxide content that works for the hands. Others would either be too sticky and leave white marks on things I touched or they'd make my hands really dry or worse--it'd make my eczema flare up. This not only dries to a silky finish, but it keeps my hands from cracking and it actually helped heal an eczema breakout. I don't know why some people say that it leaves a white residue...maybe they are applying too much or aren't rubbing it in? After using this I keep on touching my hands because they feel so smooth and silky! And I have really really dry hands normally. Worth every penny!

use on your face!
I can't believe they're selling this as a hand cream- this is the most remarkable facial sunscreen I have ever ever ever experienced. Most mineral-based sunscreens feel heavy, and look chalky. You blend and blend and blend only to look like a pasty ghoul. But this stuff is a cut above! It applies easily, leaves only the slightest white cast (which elegantly diffuses the look of redness and pores), an then sets to a very natural-looking, satin matte (rather like the finish of the Moisture Boost SPF 20). Perfect for anyone experiencing seasonal dryness as winter sets in. I agree with other reviewers that $15 is too expensive for a hand cream. I will continue to use the Pure Mineral SPF 15 for that purpose. But for such a unique and elegant facial cream, the price is a steal!

Perfect
I'm starting to get age spots and have been trying to find a hand cream with sunscreen that doesn't feel and smell like sunscreen. This hand cream is perfect. I love the texture. My hands feel soft, but not greasy. I will definitely buy this again.

Very good but pricy
A very good product.
Pros: absorbs without leaving a sticky feel and the tube is just the right size to carry in my handbag. SPF is great ans since it is a resist product, it is loaded with antioxidents and skin repairing ingrdients. Unlike some users, I don't see any noticable white cast on my brown skin when used on hands.
Cons: Pricy for a hand cream. The tube is too small for the price. When I run out of this tube, I'll probably use one of Paula's sunscreen moisturizers for hand cream. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your feedback; we will share this with Paula and her team. Any sunscreen product may be used for the face and body so you may certainly use one of our other sunscreens in a larger container for your hands! Best Ever
The creamy matte texture makes this perfect for my hands, face and neck! My skin feels soft and silky when I wear it, a big change from most sticky mineral sunscreens! Make this forever please!!!!

Non-Greasy Sunscreen
I never wear sunscreen on my hands because as soon as it's on my hands, I can't stand the feel and have to wash it off. Defeats the purpose, I know. But this cream, which I use sparingly just on the backs of my hands, is so nice and non-greasy. I can't feel it on my fingertips after I've rubbed it in. I like knowing that my hands are protected when I'm driving the car or outside for an extended period. Has a nice, light citrus scent as well.
—Laura
AWESOME FACIAL SUNSCREEN!
This makes an awesome facial sunscreen! I don't understand how this is marketed as a hand cream when it feels lighter than the RESIST SPF 25 sunscreen and for me at least is better for face use? This should be a facial sunscreen esp for combo skin! Customer Care Response: Thank you for your great review! This product may certainly be used as your daytime moisturizer with sunscreen! Please contact customer care with any questions.

Love all but the price
It is the best hand cream I ever had, but such a small quantity. If it were half the price or twice the size it would be perfection. I love the texture, the action, all of it. But as it washes off easily and needs to be applied several times a day, I went through it in 2 weeks, even being conservative with how much I used at a time. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your feedback, and we will share this with Paula and her team. Paula does realize that not all products fit every budget, which is why she created Beautypedia.com. We recommend visiting the Best Product section for alternatives that may meet your needs. You may also consider our Extra Care Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 30+ to be used as a hand cream which comes in a larger bottle. Please contact customer care with any questions.

love it
In reading through some of the comments, I think I like the product for the exact reasons others dislike it. First of all, I haven't had a problem with it being too white for my skin - I think it absorbs beautifully so no problem there. Secondly, some reviewers have said that it feels dry on their skin. I would say that it feels dry - but it's definitely not greasy, which is what I love about it. I hate hand creams that leave me feeling like I can't touch anything for fear I'll leave greasy handprints everywhere. This doesn't do that. I put it on my hands and forearms every morning before heading out. I absolutely love it. SPF 30 and not greasy? I'm thrilled with it.
—Rebecca
Excellent
This product drys back beautifully and leaves my hands feeling soft. Sun protection is the extra bonus! I will definitely buy this product again.
—Saylor
Disappointed
As soon as I learned that there was an anti-aging hand cream in the RESIST line, I couldn't order fast enough. However, even though this product is SPF 30 and includes antioxidants, I'm returning mine. It dries rather matte and dry for a hand cream, which isn't flattering at all on my 50-something hands. I prefer something more emollient. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your feedback, we will pass it along to Paula. We will send you samples of an alternate moisturizer with sunscreen to be used as a hand cream that is more moisturizing. In the meantime we will credit you for this product since you were not happy with it. Please contact customer care with any questions.

Not for me
The sunscreen made my hands ghostly white even though I tried to rub in the cream carefully. Afterwards my hands felt chalky and dry so this product is definitely not for me.
This is not a big deal because I have loved almost every Paula's product I've ever purchased (I'm a customer from way back). And I know that Paula's customer service team will process my return quickly and efficiently. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your feedback, we will certainly pass along your comments to Paula and her Product Development team. We will send you samples of an alternate moisturizer with sunscreen to try that may be more moisturizing for you to try. Please contact customer care with any questions or concerns.

On the fence.
This is one of the (very) few Paula's Choice product I've used that I think is a mixed bag. First, there's the price: I really do think it's exorbitant considering the size. As a person who lives in a city, which necessitates frequent hand-washing, this product isn't going to last long. Also, the product washes off fairly easily, which also necessitates frequent (re)application.
The only skin on my entire body that's dry is my hands; at first I wasn't even interested in this product, but since I use Paula's Choice Beautiful Body Butter (a brilliant product) on my hands every night to prevent/correct dryness, I thought this product might make for an excellent replacement. But alas: it's actually very light and not dramatically moisturizing (which, I suppose, is both a pro and a con), and the product does not absorb well if you try to layer it over another moisturizer (at least it doesn't on my skin--it stays very shiny and feels wet atop another product). Finally, this creates the white glove, even though my skin is only slightly olive-toned. Because of the color of my skin, I could not rub this in enough to make it disappear completely--an aesthetic attribute that I personally find very unappealing.
On the plus side: if used on bare skin, the lotion is light and protective; the texture is very elegant (but: if you're hands are seriously dry, as mine tend to be, this product does not correct that). SPF 30 is great, too, as is the fact that it's mineral-based. The skin repairing ingredients and antioxidants are great additions---they're the hallmark of all Paula's Choice products and what her customers have come to expect. Its absolute best quality is the fact that the product doesn't transfer when touching objects, so there are no greasy finger-prints (anyone who's used a regular sunscreen on their hands will know what I am talking about).
All in all, I certainly don't feel this is a terrible product, though it's not the one I am looking for, either. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your feedback, we will certainly pass along your comments to Paula and her Product Development team. We will send you samples of an alternate moisturizer with sunscreen to try that may be more moisturizing for you to try. Please contact Customer Care via Phone, Live Chat, or Email for further assistance.

Resist Hand Cream
I also found this to be drying to my hands. this was quite surprising, as it is an anti aging product. I have to use another hand cream afterwards. Maybe it is drying since it may be gradually exfoliating the skin? Customer Care Response: Thank you for your feedback, we will certainly pass along your comments to Paula and her Product Development team. We will send you samples of an alternate moisturizer with sunscreen to try that may be more moisturizing for you to try. This formula does not contain an exfoliant but exfoliating the skin does help your skins moisture binding ability. Please contact Customer Care via Phone, Live Chat, or Email for further assistance.

Soft non-greasy hands
This is a definite winner for Paula's product line. It makes your hands feel soft without leaving them greasy, which means I can put it on in the car and not worry about messing up my steering wheel. I love that it has SPF 30. The skin on my face looks great but I have really neglected my hands which are now showing my true age. I am hoping that with continued use (which won't be a problem since it's pleasant to use) that my hands will look better.
—Julie
Great sunscreen
As one of those folks who cannot use chemical sunscreens, I love this and would like to see it repackaged in a larger bottle (8 oz at least) with a pump so it can be used all over. Thanks, Paula!
—Lorri
FABULOUS!
I was SO excited to hear about this new hand cream! I've become obsessed with my hands since realizing they were beginning to look "crepey" close to my 40th birthday. I've been using Avon's Luminosity hand cream based on Paula's recommendation, but didn't always remember to apply it 20 minutes before sun exposure. I prefer physical sunscreens because I've long suspected they work immediately (it would be good to get Paula's input on this!), but they can be a little ho-hum--this one, on the other hand, is full of great ingredients and doesn't leave my hands with that yucky wet-chalk feeling! This product will have a permanent spot in my purse. Thanks again, Paula!

Worth the wait
I was so excited when I heard Paula was coming out with a hand cream w/SPF. It's slim pickings when it comes to decent hand creams w/SPF from other brands. I just got this in the mail today, and it is the best. I love that it has SPF 30 with physical sunscreens. I wash my hands often, especially since flu and cold season is approaching, so I need SPF protection right away when I reapply my hand cream. This is not greasy at all either. I don't know how Paula does it, but she did again. I just throw this in my purse, and I'm set. Hands down, this is the best hand cream on the market. Thank you, Paula!
—Arya
Another Excellent Product!
I'm thrilled to have a hand cream product with so many benefits, including an SPF 30! Even after just a few uses, my skin texture already appears smoother. FYI, a little bit goes a very long way. Wouldn't mind a little more emolliency, but I just put on a favorite scented lotion first & then put this over it (sorry, I like scent, what can I say?). Have to say, all of the Resist products I use are simply fabulous & amazing!!
—JoyP.
Love this!
I received this today and am in love with it. Doesn't leave a greasy feeling on my hands yet makes them feel soft. I also love that this has an all mineral sunscreen. Yes it is a little expensive but I have wasted so much money on other hand creams that did not have the same benefits. A little goes a long way. Love that it fits perfectly in my purse. Thank you Paula for again creating a wonderful product!!
—Esther
Hooray!
Hooray, hooray! I can't wait to try it - I am ordering it today. I was just thinking this morning how grateful I am to Paula and her company her skincare products. I no longer even think about skincare from any other line. I know I have saved hundreds of dollars as a result and I am getting the very best, state of the art products at reasonable prices!

the new hand cream
Tim's review says all I wanted to say about the new hand cream. I would only add that the cream makes one's hands feel soft and not chalky or powdery. I love the choice of sunscreens too. Well worth the money!
—Steph
She's done it again!
Out of all the hand creams on the market, how many contain broad-spectrum sunscreen? AND are unscented? AND contain a generous array of antioxidants and skin-healing ingredients? AND strike the perfect balance between being moisturizing and light? The answer? VERY FEW. Paula, once again you've created a very special product. Congratualations and thanks!
—Tim

DIRECTIONS: Apply liberally to clean, dry hands every morning and as needed throughout the day. If you're using this product with a Paula's Choice skin lightener, apply the lightener product first, allow a moment for it to absorb, and then follow with this hand cream. Reapply after washing hands or if hands get wet.
How does RESIST Ultimate Anti-Aging Hand Cream SPF 30 differ from RESIST Cellular Defense Daily Moisturizer SPF 25?
Other than their slightly different SPF ratings, RESIST Cellular Defense Daily Moisturizer SPF 25 was formulated for use as a facial moisturizer to be somewhat lighter weight and work well under makeup, giving skin a dewy glow. RESIST Ultimate Anti-Aging Hand Cream SPF 30 was designed for the hands and has a thicker texture that clings to skin which is needed to keep hands feeling moisturized throughout the day. Although this hand cream can be applied to the face (or anywhere else on the body) its texture isn't what most people will prefer for facial use.
How often should I apply RESIST Ultimate Anti-Aging Hand Cream SPF 30?
As often as needed to maintain protection. Apply liberally each morning and consider taking it with you for use when you're away from home and wash your hands and/or perspire heavily. After the first application each day, you can apply an extra dab to the tops of your hands after washing them and massage in. This not only ensures ongoing sun (and brown spot) protection but also helps moisturize your hands after washing so they don't become dry again.
