Wow.
First it was the 2% BHA gel, then the liquid that saved my 30-year old, cystic acne covered skin. Then I added this into my routine once and week, and it really has been tremendously helpful in conjunction with the 2% BHA liquid. While the liquid has basically rid my skin of cystic acne, the RESIST 10% AHA seems to be effective at lessening stubborn blackheads and whiteheads, as well making my skin much, much softer and brighter than just a BHA. And, like another reviewer, it seems to shrink the size of any acne faster than BHA alone. Also, I feel like this has done more to fade old acne scars than the rest of my PC regimen combined (though I'm sure it's all working together for good!). It stings a bit on application, but not uncomfortably so. I've started using it 2x week, and I may try to work up to 3x a week. Not sure what amount will work best for my skin, but it really does make a huge difference in softness and glow on the nights that I use it. Customer Care Response: Thank you for such a great review! Goodbye stubborn whiteheads
I've been using PC for a couple of years now. The 2@ BHA liquid did wonders for my skin. However, sometimes (in the summer, in particular), I would still get a fair bit of bumpiness on my forehead. I kid you not, after I used this ONCE, my skin looked better in the morning. I'd gotten it as a sample, and was so impressed, I bought the bottle. Same deal. Used it once (!), and I could see the difference in the morning.

Whenever I use this, I see an immediate improvement the next morning - It gives brighter and younger looking skin that other people have noticed as well. I recently used this (along with a good vitamin C serum)under my eyes and was shocked to discover the next day that a new line I've been battling with for a couple of months had almost completely plumped up. Daily vs. weekly treatment
Unfortunately, this weekly treatment didn't work for me. I apply other PC's exfoliant products twice daily - although this weekly 10% AHA treatment has the highest concentration of AHA, I haven't seen any improvements on my skin after 2 months of use. Also, I feel stinging after application, which I hoped I'd used to over time. I'll skip this weekly treatment and stick with my daily routine with 8% AHA gel and 7% AHA lightening lotion for my discoloration, and alternate with 2% BHA lotion or gel and 2% BHA lightening lotion. i was really excited to get this product after reading the reviews and after almost a month of use there has been no change to my skin. this one's not for me. i love the other products in the resist line though. Goodbye Sebaceous Hyperplasia!
The three choices my dermatologist gave me were laser, chemical peel or learn to live with it. Ha! I've been using Paula's Choice 2% BHA and getting some good results. But when I switched to PC Resist Weekly Resurfacing treatment, the last of those bumps are virtually gone. I no longer run my fingers over my face and feel the braille-like congregation of little hard bumps. Can't feel them, hardly a trace left. This is just 3 weeks into using the product. Who knew? Thanks for making a product that not only does what it promises to do but the added bonus of getting rid of this skin problem was such a surprise and a relief!

Who Knew?!?
60 yr old - but great - skin could get even better? Many flaws but blessed with nice skin. Now switched from all-over foundation to concealer in "T zone" and lt tinted moisturizer elsewhere. Read (!) Paula's exfoliating info, tried this along with Resist Intense Serum and - who knew? - I could see improvement in two weeks. Plumb tickled! PS Also got Skin Perfecting AHA Gel 8% for "daily" use but learned not to over do it.

nothing great no change
I tried this product with the acne system and the fade cream for 4mts. No change at ALL !! I was having some adult acne and had some spotting I wanted to fade. Use this product 3x a week. There is a slight tingle but beyond that no change. Keep your money. I just cant say I have a desire to make any repeat purchases. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. Incredibly smooth and even skin
I ordered and have been using this product religiously. I am a 40 year old blond with sensitive skin. I am always weary of chemical peels on my skin. So far, I have responded favorably to the BHA's and AHA's products from Paula. I use the weekly resurfacing lotion at least 3 times a week with the 10 percent body lotion for the rest of my body. This stuff is absolutely incredible. Even and smooth skin. LOVE them both!

Fabulous Product
I'm 48 years old, have dealt with breakouts my whole life. Now dealing with fine lines, large pores, all the yuck. This AHA is incredible, after one use my pores were noticably clearer and smaller, lines still there but softer looking. The overall health of my skin feels better. I only use this at night, no moisturizer. During the day Anti Ageing clear skin hydrator and my skin has never looked better.

Wonderful product.....but not for me
This is an excellent exfoliator but unfortunately causes me to break out. I also tried the Resist AHA which also caused acne. The products are definately worth trying. I have many using Paula's choice for almost 2 years. I just turned 30 and now that my acne is mostly gone I now have fine lines and wrinkles in my forehead. I can't begin to say how amazing this product is. My skin not only glows in the morning but is unbelievably smooth. All my lines are gone. I just wish this came in a bigger size! This is hands down my favorite product.

I am delighted with your Resist Weekly Resurfacing and Smoothing System, along with the Resist Moisturizer, however I do not understand why you have such a poor dispensing system. It is very difficult to handle. To me it is impossible to measure a dimes worth as suggested. You use a pump system on other products and they dispense beautifully. At this price I cannot understand why you can't be a little more consumer friendly and make it easier for us to use. The delivery system is really poor. Great product but it needs a pump. Please help us out.

Simply amazing!
This stuff is simply amazing! I put it on every Sunday night before bed, and every Monday morning I wake up to the smoothest, softest, clearest skin ever. At $28.95 for just 2 oz., I thought it was a bit pricey at first, but now I'm finding that a little bit goes a very long way. I've been applying just a very thin layer (with a cotton ball) once a week for the past 7 months and I'm not even halfway through my first bottle yet. At the rate I'm going, it will last me well over a year, which makes it surprisingly affordable.

Botox in a Bottle
I've been using exfoliators since I first read about it in Paula's book and I use one of her exfoliators every night along with her whole Resist line. I alternate this with the 8% one and the 7% Skin Lightening Lotion but in the summer, I sometimes use this every day. (Unfortunately, I'm allergic to Aspirin but I can still use her BHA as a spot treatment.) I'm 40 and have fair, combo skin which is dry in the winter. My main concern were big pores and fine lines but I did not expect this result... The two, horizontal, deep lines on my forehead are almost all gone and my pores are smaller too! I can't believe it! Every time I use it I wake up with glowing, firm, flawless skin in the morning. I'm so happy with this product and I'm so thankful to Paula and for everything she's been doing for us! Thanks Paula!

Very good
I ordered six samples of this because I wasn't sure it would work and this is one of the most expensive products Paula carries. I've been using it once to twice a week (in addition to my BHA treatment, but not at the same time obviously). This really does enhance my routine. It gives an overall smoother appearance and those dry flakes I used to get around my mouth and chin are gone. The liquid consistency does make it tricky to apply without some wastage, but my combination skin prefers this light liquid texture.

I just tried this product for the first time, so it remains to be seen how well it will work for me. I read some of the reviews before buying and I have to agree with the person that asked about getting it in a gel. Using a "dime size amount" as the instructions suggest is simply impossible, I tried that amount on my fingers and then on a cotton pad and it was enough for a tenth of my face? You really have to use a lot more. I'm 42 with combination skin. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. We will pass along your comments to Paula. This product only needs to be applied in a very thin layer avoiding the eye area and only used once or twice per week so it does last quite a while. Amazing results...
I love this product. I have been so impressed with Paula's products! I have tried hundreds of face products. Just like so many of you I just kept searching for a "miracle product". I have fair sensitive skin, with large pores and alot of sunspots and redness. I have to be very careful with what I put on my face, because my chin always breaks out. But this product helped all my issues! It made my skin look great by the next morning. It stung a little, but I didn't have any peeling or irritation, so I will keep using it. I am so grateful that I found this product line! I found it by accident in a google search - what a blessing - my skin has been steadily improving!

Dried Out My Skin
My skin was not happy with this product. I'm a Paula's Choice fan and have been using the 5% AHA without problems however, the 10% left my face feeling incredibly dry after only only one application and even drier after two. Olive oil atop my moisturizer is all that helps. Not only did it exacerbate the fine lines on my forehead but it turned my skin bright red. It's obvious my skin couldn't handle this product which is unfortunate because it seems so many have success with it. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. Dramatic results
This product has made a dramatic difference to my skin.
I have sensitive skin, so I initially left it on for about 10 minutes then splashed it off with cold water. After my skin adjusted, I started leaving it on overnight. Within about two weeks, I could see a noticeable difference.
After using this product once a week, and the 5% Daily Smoothing Treatment each morning, I now look about 10 years younger.

Great Product
I've been using this product for several months now, and I've been very happy with it. I've seen fast results, and this product has helped with breakouts. I had used the BHA 2% for a long time, but saw no change, so you might consider giving this a try. I particularly like the texture which is very thin (almost runny unlike a lot of AHA products). Doesn't make my oily skin feel slimy. One problem is that my hands feel sticky after I apply it to my face. I'm definitely buying more!

I'm giving this one three stars. I can't say anything bad or good about it. It's just "OK" I guess. I have not seen any dramatic skin smoothing. Maybe my skin is as smooth as it can ever be since in use the BHA liquid day/night?

It should not be applied at the same time as your 2% BHA but at a separate time. It can be used up to four times per week if you have a lot of sun damage. A 10% strength is the most we suggest for an AHA. Even if results are not apparent right away the potent anti-aging ingredients are still working deep within the skin to create collagen, repair damaged skin cells, create healthier skin cells, and prevent free radical damage. Does not work for me!
From reading all of the reviews here, I was really hoping this product would work for me. In my case it doesn't seem to have any noticeable effect, certainly none beyond that of Paula's far more reasonably priced 2% BHA products. This product doesn't break me out or overly dry my skin - so for that it gets 2 stars. Alas, it just doesn't seem to do anything else - no effect on pore size, blemishes, blackheads, or my overall complexion. I've been trying it for nearly a month now, about twice a week. I am male and in my 20s. YMMV. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. In order to improve the appearance of pores and prevent blemishes you would need to use a BHA exfoliant on a regular basis. The BHA exfoliants are the ones that are able to cut through oil deep into the pores to exfoliate them and also exfoliate the surface of the skin. We suggest to continue using this product at least a few times a week in order to provide your skin with potent anti-aging ingredients to create healthier skin cells, promote collagen, and offer more surface exfoliation. We will credit you for the product since you were not happy with it but encourage you to keep using it as it is still working beneath the skin even if results may not be apparent right away and also keep using a BHA exfoliant as your daily exfoliant. Ongoing use of well formulated skin care products will prevent future signs of aging when they are most visible so plese don't give up. Please contact customer care with any questions.

This treatment really is amazing! I didn't expect any fast or visible results, because I've been using Retin A gel every night, therefore my skin gets regular exfoliation. But I did see a difference after first use, unbelievable. I alternate nights, use this and Retin on separate nights - they are compatible and can complement each other, I had no adverse side effects.

I am a 27 yr old female who has been battling cystic acne for the past 6-7 years. It has been a traumatic experience, but, thanks to Paula's Choice products, I have been able to keep it somewhat under control. I have been using her products for the past 3 or so years, and I have finally found the product I just HAD to write a review about. Apparently, my skin does NOT like BHA's- took me too long to figure this out. I decided to give this AHA a try. I can say in total, utmost honesty that this product has been fabulous to me. My red marks from my acne are fading, my blackheads are disappearing, my skin looks and feels firmer and overall just appears healthier than it has in years, also no new acne which is the biggest plus. See, I had stopped exfoliating due to my skin's hatred of the BHA I was using for exfoliation. I think that adding the exfoliation component back into my skin regimen has worked wonders, and has made me really realize the importance of exfoliation. I have been using this for about 3 weeks. I actually use it 2-3 times a week as my skin has been able to handle that just fine with NO complaints. NO redness, NO flakiness, and my skin usually hates everything I put on it. Ladies, I'm telling you- if your skin doesn't like BHA's and you have mild/moderate cystic acne & other types of blemishes- this stuff definitely helps!! It's is absolutely worth a shot and worth the money!

I can LEAVE IT ON!
My rosacea seems to get aggravated when my autoimmune disease flares, so I was concerned when it was time to use my Resurfacing Treatment yesterday. To my great surprise (and delight) I had no trouble with this product.
I put a dime size amount in my palm, and smooth it over my face, being careful to cover my jawline area. Like so many of Paula's products, such a small amount is needed it increases the value tremendously.
I thought I would have to rinse it off...waited for that burning sensation...which never came! And my whole body (face included) is in such a state of eczema...from the autoimmune disease.

Great exfoliator to add to routine
I been using Paula's 2% bha products for years now. They have been great and now I've added this to my routine too. I use it about every 2 days at night. The first time it stung for a few seconds but that died down quickly. My skin looks very smooth the next day and has continued to look great. I still have blemishes but exfoliation helps with that a lot. I dispense some into my hand and apply it with my fingers to my face, then gently rub it in. I will get more when I run out

Please never stop making this product! I have combination, acne-prone skin, and I have been getting great results using this in combination with the 2% BHA liquid. My skin has never looked this good!
My only concern is that maybe I am causing long-term damage by using it every day. I am experiencing no redness or irritation, but I'm not sure that means that it's okay for my skin. I really love the results I'm getting with daily use, so I don't want to cut back if there's no reason to, but the instructions make it sound like I shouldn't be using it this often. Can we get this in a gel form?
Great stuff, but as a liquid, it's just not very easy to put on, and I feel like I'm wasting it by putting it on a cotton ball. The 8% AHA is a gel, and this would be perfect if it was a gel, too! I love love love this product! I am 27 years old, I get regular breakouts on my chin and forehead and I also have spots from past breakouts and recently, a couple age spots. This product has truly improved my skin. I actually noticed a difference in the texture of my skin and my complexion after the first use. Now after using it for 2 1/2 weeks, I have noticed a HUGE difference! I can't wait to see what my skin will look like after 6 weeks! I do wonder if they'll ever come out with a 15% AHA. I increased my usage to a daily use (do not do unless advised by a professional, I did so at my own risk). Thank you Paula and her team! I would like to see a 15% AHA if possible!

As I'm slowly going through perimenopause, my chin is a field of acne. I use Paula's acne products; however, when I have a severe breakout, I use this product and the next morning it is a great deal better! I definitely didn't want to pay this $$$ but I'm glad I did!

After 3 weeks of using this once on every saturday my face has evened out in texture and color.
My only con for this product is that whenever i wake up i have like a puddle of oil on my face even with a moisturizer (Resist Anti Age Moisturizer)

I've been a loyal user of Paula's BHA products for years and they've improved my skin tremendously. I went from being extremely acne-prone (practically a daily condition) to having only the occasional breakout. As great an improvement as this was, those occasional breakouts were still troublesome because they tended to linger and took a long time to heal. My skin has been changing lately now that I'm in my mid-forties, which has basically meant that I've started having to deal with aging skin issues on top of the acne. So I decided to add some of Paula's AHA products to my routine. I've still been using the regular strength CLEAR toner in the mornings and 3 nights a week, but now I alternate it with 3 nights using the 8% AHA gel and one night using this Weekly Resurfacing Treatment. The results have been nothing short of miraculous. I honestly think I've stopped having breakouts. I may still get an occasional whitehead, but they are usually so small and so close to the surface that they can be literally wiped away with a tissue and take no time to heal. My face hasn't been this clear and smooth since before puberty. This combination of products has also done wonders to even out my skin tone by fading away the hyper-pigmentation left over from old breakouts. I can't say enough good things about all 3 of these products, so please keep making them and please keep them just as they are. Bravo to Paula and her team!

Best stuff I've ever used!
I have used a very high end collection of products for many, many years and have found Paul's products to work much better and cost much less than anything else I have used. I am thrilled to have found them. Share with friends! They'll love you for it! This particular product I use about three times a week. My skin is not sensitive at all so I can get away with this frequency of use. It works extremely well. My skin is very soft and well exfoliated and seems to respond better to other products since there are fewer dead cells on the surface of my skin. Love,love,love this product!

Please don't ever add cyclopentasiloxane because then I won't be able to use and I have to have it! I highly recommend this product to anyone little for a little miracle. THE Best Product I have EVER used!
This product deserves 10 stars. I have never used a product that not only delivers on its claims, but shows such dramatic results in just one use! I honestly wasn't expecting all that much from a "weekly" treatment, but I couldn't believe how much my skin had improved after just one use. My skin was brighter, smoother, pores practically invisible and sun spots faded significantly. And when I woke up the next morning, the results were still there! I have used this 2 nights in a row now and my skin is glowing like never before. The best part for me is that my blackheads are just about all gone!!!! I use the CLEAR system and that significantly improved my stubborn blackhead issue, but adding this to my regimen has given me perfect skin that I have tried to achieve my entire life! I am using it every night instead of a BHA, which I still use in the morning and have not experienced any redness, stinging or irritation. It does make my face feel a little oily, but it doesn't really matter since i'm using it at night. Also, the packaging is horrible! The bottle is hard and doesn't squeeze out the liquid very easily. I also wish Paula would make it in a larger size. This product is a life changer!!!

Only that's helped my skin texture
I'm not the normal target customer for this product--I'm 21 and have oily skin, cystic acne, and years of scarring. I started using this product a week and half ago, however, in desperation and unable as a college student to afford expensive peels and microdermabrasion. I've used it every 3 nights with the 2% BHA during the day and on one other night, letting my skin rest one night. It wasn't an overnight miracle, but in the time I've been doing this regime, my active acne is slowly lessening, my hyperpigmentation has faded quite a bit, and the texture of my skin has recovered a good deal from the rough scars I had before. This peel is worth every penny and I intend to keep using it for years!

I have only used this product 3 times (once a week) & this last time I swear my pores seemed smaller in the morning! I've used alot of products that have claimed to do that but this is the 1st that has! I just read I can use it more than once a week! I'll see what twice does!

So I've been a Paula's Choice convert for years to deal with my troublesome acne. I have very sensitive skin and persistent acne. My skin improved a lot when I began exfoliating properly and using her acne treatments. I switch between regular and extra strength. But when I went to restock I got caught up reading all the great reviews of this product and decided to try it. I was completely amazed to see results the first night. I have used a very thin layer every night for nearly two weeks and never felt stinging or had any redness or irritation. I have 40 year old skin and it hasn't looked this good since I was a young teen. I still use the beta hydroxy some mornings but when it runs out I plan to order the 5% and alternate between the two. I can't say enough good things. I do wonder if those who have felt stinging are using too much. Honestly a very little, applied with my fingertips, has had great results. Makes me feel better about the price, which I had felt was high. But I think this bottle will last quite a while. What can I say, I love Paula's Choice. If you are on the fence try the sample, you'll know immediately if it works for you.

Wow!
I received this as a sample. I used it twice, leaving it on overnight. When I went to wash my face on the second morning and looked in the mirror at my forehead where I have serious wrinkles I could NOT believe how much they had diminished. I don't know if it is a "Cinderella thing" and it won't last past today, but I will order a bottle of this.

Fantastic!
this is all I have to say about this product, its fantastic! I have used this product up to four times now, about once to twice a week, and its true! My skin has been sundamaged and has stubborn blackheads, luckily, I tried this and its working! I can't believe it! Yes, at first it stings a bit and may even itch a lil bit if yu keep it on all day or all nite, but I went a whole day and did not wash it off, next day I cleansed and used the rough side of my cleansing pad with my toner and viola! some brown flaky skin came off that was on my cheek forever! that and I think that its removing also a sort of brown mole thingy I have on my other cheek. I have a fair complexion, red hair and in my early 50's. Even tho yes, this seemed a lil too strong for my face at first I stuck with it and it is paying off! The key is yes, to be patient and keep trying as I have already heard throughout alot of reviews. Its true, there is something for everyone here at Paulas Choice.

Works wonders on my skin!
Wow! I was very anxious to try this product...I must say it did not dissapoint! I have used Paula's Choice for several years now, decided to try another line which ended up being to costly and switched back. My skin was a mess from the back and forth. That is no longer the case. After using this for about three weeks in conjuction with the daily 5% my skin has never looked better! My skin finally has a nice texture to it and actually looks smooth. I also use the new Resist Daily Moisturizer with SPF 25 which adds a nice glow to my skin. For me this is a winning combination, please keep this around (and in stock!)

A Must-Have Product
I love this product as a weekly treatment or twice-weekly treatment. I have combination skin and my skin responds very well to Paula's skin balancing and hydralight lines. Best product I've tried
This AHA treatment is truly excellent. I've tried so many different skin treatments and products and this is the only one where I've actually seen significant improvement in my skin. I'm 32 with sun and acne damaged skin. I've been using this product twice a week for about a month and my skin is much smoother and tighter and I've seen a clear reduction in fine lines. It does sting for the first 5 minutes after applying it but then I moisturize and it's not irritating at all. I've had no redness or dry skin with this product which is impressive for how strong the formula is. I highly recommend giving this one a try. (I've also been using the daily smoothing treatment but find this one to be the most effective). Thank you for a great product!

I have used 10% AHA from Alpha Hydrox for 2 years and was pleased. I used the Weekly Resurfacing Treatment ONCE and saw an impressive difference in the texture/smoothness of my skin. Love the product - Hate the packaging!
Absolutely love the Resurfacing Treatment, but the packaging is horrible. The plastic blue bottle is so stiff, you are unable to control the amount of liquid coming out, unlike your white bottles. Please fix it. Extremely wasteful and frustrating every time I use it (daily for me)!

Miracle in a bottle
Unbelievable. I have been using Paula's Choice products for over 5 years. I was skeptical when I read about this product and the reviews. Paula claims guaranteed improvement overnight. I could not believe how soft and smooth my skin was the next morning after using this product one night. I have 40-year-old aging, but not extremely sun damaged, skin. My age and fine lines are showing and the next morning my fine lines seemed to be less noticeable. I just kept staring at my skin in disbelief. I had no stinging or pain at all and did not rinse it off. My skin feels incredible. Of course I use a total of 8 Paula's Choice products daily. Effective luxurious treatment!
I have found a perfect treat for my face! I swipe this liquid over my skin with a cotton pad and then follow with a few drops of the Resist serum. That is all I use for my combination skin at night and I alternate with a BHA on non AHA nights. In the morning, my skin is so soft and clear! I love it. To add antioxidants during the day, I use the Skin Balancing Serum underneath sunscreen! Love it!

watery texture
I experienced a stinging sensation the 1st few weeks I used this. I now use it every 9-10 days, & can leave it on the full 10 minutes. I find the watery texture makes it difficult to apply, or to tell how much I've applied (maybe thats why I had the stinging sensation in the beginning). I like the product, but a thicker product (like gel or lotion) would be easier to apply. I use this product in tandem with it's sister daily product & I have fewer adult acne blemishes.

Gentle yet Effective
I've done two applications of this product, 4 days apart and using the daily tx in between, and thus far I'm very happy. I've done regular salon glycolic peels in the past and my skin had been taking longer and longer to recover from them (although they were very effective). So I've been on the lookout for a something milder but with the same results. I think I may have found it.

Impressed with Resist Weekly Resurfacing Tx
I never tried the AHA because my problem is blackheads but I have been using Paula's BHA 2% gel with virtually no improvement in blackheads or my skin's appearance. I started using Resist Weekly Tx and my pores appear smaller, my skin looks smoother and more even. And my blackheads have slowed way down. (I am afraid the wrinkles are here to stay barring use of a scalpel). I started using it once a week, increased to 3 times a week and may try it every day for awhile. It doesn't sting and I am not getting dry or flakey. I know, just because a little is good doesn't mean a lot is better. But I still want to give it a try.
Next I have to add on the Resist serum. I'll update with my results.

The raves are true - I had to see it for myself...
Although Alpha Hydroxy Acid products are usually discouraged for my skintype (skin prone to flushing, redness, and/or irritation), I was so intrigued by all the five-star reviews for the RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment with 10% AHA that I couldn't resist (no pun intended) ordering a sample and seeing if all the fuss was valid. Well, that sample turned led me to buy a full-size bottle! It is difficult to describe the difference in my skin after just one application, although the words "glowing" and "smooth" come to mind. Try it for yourself... I sure am glad that I did!

I like the daily smoothing formula better
I love the daily smoothing formula - noticed a change within just 5 days and my skin keeps looking better the longer I use that stuff. But this doesn't seem to have as dramatic an effect. Not sure the benefit is worth the cost, but I'd spend 2X the amount for the daily smoothing formula.

Truly a great product
This is a very effective exfolient. Your skin will look better after one use. I use it about every 3 days and am always impressed the morning after. On other nights I have been using the 5% daily smoothing treatment by itself. I don't like to layer products. I find they are not as effective as single applications. This AHA is awesome. I've been using it every other day (I know, that's more than "weekly"! But my skin can take it...), and I've seen so much improvement. The texture of my skin is so smooth. Only 3 letters : WOW !!!
I've always been more than pleased with Paula's products, but this time I'm amazed (and addicted) with the RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment !!
It tooks 2 weeks (with 4 applications per week) to remove all dead skin layers (I never would think I still had so much dead skin to be removed as I regularly exfoliated with Paula's BHAs).
I had strong flaking the very first week, less the second one, and now almost none... all of this without any redness or burning sensation, just a very light tingling (that I can't describe as unpleasant because it means the product is acting, so I love this sensation).
Now my skin is glowing, it retains moisture far better than ever before (it's winter and I use only the RESIST Daily Smoothing Treatment as a moisturizer and it's enough).
This product is a true holy grail !!!

10% AHA Review
I'm sort-of at a loss for words. I've been using Paula's choice for more than a decade now, classic oily, blemish prone skin that is now getting older. I've used the 2% BHA liquid and 8% AHA gel day and night respectively. I was looking for something that might work on frown lines so I bought the 10% AHA. I've used it three nights, and those awful lines between my eyebrows are gone. I would love to understand how you did that. Oh, and thank you.

I have been using Paula's skin care for 10 years and I love every one of her products. But, the Resist line has brought my skin to a whole new level. More of what we've come to expect: perfection
The folks in the marketing team at Paula's Choice are increasingly fond of exciting adjectives like "extraordinary," "unique," and "dramatic"--which made me nervous. But this product really delivers, and then some.
My skin is an anomaly: I have oily, acne-prone skin, but my facial skin does better with an AHA than a BHA. The problem is that most AHA's are highly moisturizing and occlusive. This treatment is water-like in texture and finish, and it really does reveal younger, smoother skin after just a couple of uses.
This product, by far, is the best exfoliant I have ever used, and for those who are sensitive to BHA like myself, I highly recommend this product. For those simply looking to correct sun-damage, don't be surprised if this product performs a small miracle; my own skin has lightened and brightened significantly, feels and looks much smoother, and my 37 year old crow's feet do look diminished---and I have used the product 4 times.
I should mention too: somehow, I don't experience ANY irritation. No burning, no redness, nothing. I have used the regular Paula's Choice 8% AHA for years, and I do experience slight tingling with that; but this formulation seems to prevent even mild irritation--at least for my skin.
I suppose that does count as extraordinary.

Is it OK to use RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment more than once per week? Yes, but we do not recommend doing so until you've seen how your skin responds to this treatment. Overuse may not provide better results; most people will find using this at night either once a week or up to 2 or 3 times per week produces great results, and you can use another Paula's Choice exfoliant on other nights. If you have advanced sun damage 4 or 5 times week may be extremely beneficial.
How should I alternate using RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment with RESIST Daily Smoothing Treatment?
RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment is recommended for use at night, at least once but up to 4 or 5 times per week. Since we do not advise using other exfoliants at the same time that you apply RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment, you can apply RESIST Daily Smoothing Treatment as part of your morning skin-care routine or on nights you do not apply the RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment. In the morning, RESIST Daily Smoothing Treatment should be applied after cleansing and toning. Follow with a serum and/or moisturizer or foundation rated SPF 15 or greater.
How does the RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment differ from the 8% Alpha Hydroxy Acid Gel?
The RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment is a specialized AHA product that not only contains a higher concentration of glycolic acid than our original 8% AHA Gel, but also includes a penetration enhancer to help it work faster and deeper. RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment also features a unique delivery system and is formulated with several potent anti-irritants and antioxidants such as green tea, which is proven to stimulate collagen and elastin production.
Can I use RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment with one of the RESIST skin lighteners?
Yes, but not at the same time. This is because both of our RESIST skin lighteners contain an exfoliant (the Lotion has glycolic acid and the Gel has salicylic acid). If you're using one of our RESIST skin lighteners, you may apply it in the morning or on the nights you do not apply the RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment.
Can I use RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment at the same time as one of Paula's Choice BHA products?
We do not recommend the use of any other exfoliant, including Paula's Choice BHA products with salicylic acid, be applied at the same time as RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment. Doing so increases the risk of irritation that excessive exfoliation can cause and irritation is never the goal. It is fine to apply any of our BHA products in the morning or on the nights you are not applying RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment.
Is RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment recommended for use around the eyes?
Yes, but only up to the orbital bone area (the bony ridge that stops just before the immediate undereye area). Do not apply RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment to the eyelid or underbrow area.
What if my skin experiences a stinging or tingling sensation from RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment?
Upon application to cleansed, toned skin, some people may experience a small amount of tingling or feel a stinging sensation. This is normal and it should dissipate quickly and stop with ongoing use. If the tingling or stinging sensation does not stop or worsens, or if your skin becomes red or feels like it's burning, immediately rinse RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment with plain water and gently pat dry. Should this occur, ongoing use is not recommended. You may want to try another Paula's Choice exfoliant and our Customer Service team is happy to help you select an alternate option.
I am using a prescription retinoid product (i.e. Renova, Retin-A). Is it OK for me to use RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment?
Yes, but be aware that the prescription retinoid may increase your skin's sensitivity to this AHA treatment. We recommend proceeding with caution, and only applying RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment once per week. You would apply it before your prescription retinoid product and either rinse the Resurfacing Treatment after 10 minutes or wait until it has absorbed before applying your prescription retinoid.
