Perfect for oily skin
I got this as a sample when I ordered a face wash and I'm so happy that I did. This is the first time that I've found a moisturizer that really works with my skin type and doesn't leave it feeling oily or causes me to break out.

Great matte moisturizer!!
I love this and alternate this with the Resist Clear Skin Hydrator. Both have great matte finishes and great ingredients but I like this in the summer especially and if I need more moisture I use the Resist, usually at night.

Absolute Perfection
Wonderful and elegant moisturizer. Magnificent ingredients. Applies with ease absorbs and leaves a wonderfully matte finish. I find this moisturizer very hydrating soothing as well as healing. Also a wonder under the eyes. Fantastic after shaving.

Incredible!
I had originally heard about Paula's Choice skin care line from a Youtube video, and decided to give them a shot. I've been suffering from acne for several years; nothing helped, and most products designed to would only irritate my skin further. Skin care regimens suggested by my dermatologist seemed futile. The topical acne creams I'd been using would dry my face; producing more blemishes. Every moisturizer I tried left my face irritated, red, and riddled with blackheads; despite the nonacnegenic labels. This moisturizer does exactly what it suggests on the label! There's no need to constantly reapply; one application and you're set. There's no oil slick to speak of, and my pores are noticeably smaller. Try it! There's absolutely nothing to lose.

Sadly disappointed
I recently started using Paula's products and so far I have been very satisfied until I tried this product. I was so excited to try it because I read the reviews and they were mostly positive. The first night I used the product, the next day my face broke out in little tiny bumps. My skin was rough and red. I stopped using it immediately and my skin cleared up within a day or two. I tried it again and the next day the red tiny bumps returned. I literally cried because I really wanted it to work for me. Wonderful Moisturizer for Acne Prone Skin
I have stubbornly clung to cream moisturizers all of my life not realizing what a gel moisturizer can do for oily, acne prone skin. This product has been a miracle for my skin, hydrating it and leaving it feeling soft and ready for my make up every morning. I've also noticed a big reduction in breakouts since I started using it. I know people have been asking if you can add SPF but PLEASE PLEASE don't change the formula for this! If you really need SPF, just wear foundation with sunscreen.

Still trying it out, but tube design could be bett
I have very oily skin so I knew this wouldn't be able to control all of the shine, but I'm not actually sure it's doing very much at all. i like the way it feels, I don't think it's making me oilier, but I'm not sure if it's very effective in shine control and minimizing the look of my pores.
My biggest concrete complaint though is the tube design. The cap doesn't actually thread smoothly and the tube itself is oddly proportioned - short and wide. So when I screw the cap back on, I inevitably end up having to really squeeze the bottle and pushing out a bunch of gel. Ugh. Messy cap and wasted product. A little bit too drying
I'm 26 this year and have using this product as part of the Skin Balancing System.
Used in conjuction with the toner and BHA 1% liquid, my complexion improved markedly within a few days. I experienced smooth and clean-looking skin for a few days and was extremely pleased with the results.
However, a little more than a week later, my normally oily skin became tight and dry (even 9 to 10 hours upon initial application). It's rather surprising as I have had oily skin all my life. I experienced the same while using the Skin Balancing Daily Mattifying Lotion SPF 15 & Antioxidants.
I can't seem to figure out whether it's the moisturisers or BHA liquid that's causing the tightness. I'm even experiencing tiny flakes around my mouth (Not noticeable, unless scrutinised up-close)...
Nevertheless, I would continue using Paula's Choice. Possibly Hydralight (for day time usage) and RESIST Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator at night. What would you suggest? Amazing primer!
I tried this after finding the SB moisturizer with SPF too shiny. All I can say is that this is one of the best dual function products I've used. Not only does it provide light moisture, it is an AMAZING primer for makeup. It makes every bit of my makeup look more even, polished and almost airbrushed than with anything else I've tried under my makeup previously. And, it really holds it on - even post work out, I still have a good amount of coverage left. I wish there were a way to retain this formula/texture with SPF, but I guess I'll just have to compensate with SPF makeup. Will probably need a tad more moisture in winter underneath, but perfect for the warm months.

Very Impressed
I have combination skin and live in a hot, humid climate, so this gel is ideal for me. It hydrates the dry areas and leaves a nice glow on skin without making the oily areas shinier or blemish prone. My only complaint is it does not contain sunscreen. It would be ideal for daytime use if it had an spf. I don't usually wear foundation and it's hard to find a sunscreen product that isn't too heavy and doesn't make me break out. Please consider making an spf version of this product. Perfect for combination skin
I love this moisturizer. The consistency is amazing and it makes my skin feel so soft and smooth. I use it mostly during the summer when my skin needs less moisture or on dry break-out prone areas during the winter. It has never broken me out.

Disappointing the second time around
I previously used this product with success on my combination skin, but the most recent bottle I got was a huge disappointment. I agree completely with the reviewer who stated that "this product doesn't seem to sink into my skin, nor does it seem all that moisturizing." I agree completely. In fact, even though my t-zone is completely oily and my cheeks are slightly dry, once I began using this lotion even the skin on my nose began peeling. I haven't changed any of my other Paula's Choice products that I use regularly so I can only attribute it to this moisturizer not getting the job done. I have aging, sensitive, combination, prone-to-breaking-out skin. This is the only moisturizer that works for my difficult skin type. It is feather-light but effective, and it creates a perfect base for my foundation. I have tried other moisturizers that I can find in my local stores, but I always regret it and come back to this one. I never want to be without it!

feels like silicone foundation primer
I purchased this because the weather is getting warmer and more humid where I live, and I wanted a light moisturizer to wear under makeup that would not cause me to look oily by the end of the day. I don't really have oily skin, but sometimes wearing too-heavy moisturizer under foundation just doesn't work well. This moisturizer doesn't feel very moisturizing; it feels too much like silicone (like a foundation primer). I don't enjoy primers that have too much of a silicone feel, and this is very similar. This product doesn't seem to sink into my skin, nor does it seem all that moisturizing. When I ordered this, I got a sample of the Barrier Repair Moisturizer, and I like it, so I will probably order that one instead. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your comments. I've been using this for only two weeks now. So far, I like it. It spreads well so I only need one good drop to cover my face. I haven't noticed any tendencies for it to ball up with my foundation. I feel like my skin is in better condition because of using this with the Resist antiox serum. My combination skin takes very well to this because it's a gel form.

LOVE at first use!
this moisturizer slipped on like primer and felt like primer. left my skin very smooth to the touch and doesn't have any weird smells. it's not as effective against indoor heater dryness in the winter, but it's a fantastic moisturizer otherwise.

I have combination skin so I thought this would be perfect but it wasn't moisturizing enough for me. Best Light Moisturizer!
This is my all time favorite moisturizer for summer. The texture of this product is super silky and it just melts into skin instantly with no greasy residue. I love to put it on. It's not very moisturizing, that's why I only use it in the summertime. In winter I use Paula's Resist Barrier Repair Moisturizer. I wish all moisturizers could have this texture though!

This is my go to cream on hot days. Goes on easily, with a great matte finish. Perfect under powder or liquid make-up. I have sensitive, mostly oily skin that sometimes gets dry patches and this gel works on all of it. Very happy face!

I have been using this moisturizer for over two years and I love it! I have combination skin so don't need anything heavy. I use it every night and also twice a day around my eyes (I use the mattifying lotion for my daytime sunblock/moisurizer).

I wanted something light to effectively moisturize my skin without causing me to break-out. Eventhough this gel has not caused me to break-up, it has not done a great job at moisturising my skin.I use it overnight and my skin still has dry patches when i wake up in the morning.. I LOVE this product! I will use absolutely no other my skin. As a person with acne prone skin, I am very cautious about what products I use. It does not make my t-zone oily or skin break out and takes care of the dryness of the rest of my face.

Only one I can use
I have searched for many years for a moisturizer that didn't feel greesy after 30 min of putting it on or react negatively for my skin. A girl I worked with told me to try this stuff. I love the moisturizer so much. I can't use the day time one because my skin doesn't like something in it, but I use this one all the time. My acne is calm, my redness is less, and I can safely say I am taking care of my skin.

This is by far the best moisturiser I have ever used. A friend recommended Paula's Choice for my rosacea and after trying a couple of different moisturisers, this became my moisturiser of choice. I have very oily skin and although my cheeks tend not to "flush" anymore, I have quite a lot of capillary damage, that I am determined not make any worse. This product is soothing and moisturising at the same time, and although I still end up super oily by the end of the day, at least I have a few good hours in between!

The Best Moisturizer I've Ever Used
I have very sensitive skin. Some products have caused either allergic reactions or acne. I've tried most of Paula's moisturizers and this is my favorite. It's soft and smooth. Its light texture looks great under makeup. I highly recommend it.

Almost the perfect moisturizer for acne-prone skin
Great product, but why does it only come in such a tiny size? I go through 2oz. in under a month using only a tiny amount once a day and that makes this one of the most expensive skin care items I buy. This is such a nice moisturizing gel! After applying it, your skin will be remarkably soft. The texture of your skin will improve. It reduces the look of enlarged pores!

Great moisturizer, doesn't add shine
This moisturizer is great on my combination, acne-prone skin. I use it at night after using the CLEAR system. It doesn't make my skin feel greasy at all but it definitely provides needed moisture for my dry patches. It also works great under makeup during the day and doesn't add shine at all. Only complaint is that 2oz is an awfully small size for such a high price.

Great product
I received this as a sample and will definitely be ordering the full-size product. It is comparable to more expensive department store brands that "silken" your skin (i.e. Estee Lauder, Lancome), but at a much more afforable price. I have rosacea, and this product does not irritate my skin at all.

Great for men post-shave
This is a great moisturizer for men's post-shaving. I've been using this since December and love it. It really does sooth my skin from any skin irritation and doesn't feel greasy. I high recommend this!

I can't stress enough how great it is to finally have a "moisturizer" that delivers beneficial ingredients without making me greasy or broken out! At 45, I need a little moisture now & then, but, especially with the now mandatory need for (gooey, greasy) sunscreen every day, moisturizer has been a bane. This Moisture Gel is light as air and it seems to perk up my skin. It works beautifully under sunscreen and makeup without making me feel like I'm wearing a slippery mask. Gets ride of the dryness
After using this product for a year or so I thought it would be a good time to review this gel moisturizer. I love this moisturizer! I do have oily skin so this is great for me. Wonderful product
I have dry skin and even though this is not enough for me to use soley as a moisturizer I use this as a makeup primer under my richer foundations. I also use it in conjunction with heavier sunscreens as a prep for them. The texture is wonderful, it absorbs fully and I don't feel like I have anything on my face but the tightness and dryness are gone. It is the only thing I will wear under heavier makeup. Perfect!

Scent senitive
Just want to sent a note regarding the scent for Skin Balancing Moisture Gel. I usually am very sensitive to scents and have not notice any scent at all from this product. I leave it on the counter with all the other products and it smells neutral. This is the latest product from the Skin Balancing line I have purchased since I was introduced to Paula's products 18 months ago and I have to say it is GREAT. I put this on at night and when I awaken in the morning, my skin is moist and not oily at all. Thank you Paula.

This moisturizer has been awesome for this southern summer. Once it dries, I don't feel like I'm wearing anything on my face. This moisturizer feels like silk. The texture is fantastic. I think it is accurately labeled for oily skin--my skin is just a tad too dry to use this very light moisturizer alone--but the way it feels on my skin has reeled me in to the point that I want to use it so badly that I put it over my RESIST Barrier Repair Moisturizer. I can't say enough about how beautifully formulated this product is! If you have oily skin, you've GOT to try this super smooth moisturizer. If you have dry skin, use it as a primer for your makeup (let it set for 15 minutes before you apply foundation)! It's simply divine.

My T-Zone used to be VERY oily and with this moisturizer I would call it "dewy" and very pretty, the perfect balance! I have used this product for one week. My face is significantly less oily. My foundation, which normally will not last till afternoon, last for whole day (but still need to touch up a little in mid-day). This product moistens my skin without adding any oil - it would not dry out your skin either. It would be even greater if it has a larger size.

I love the Skin Balancing Moisture Gel. True to the name, it keeps my skin balanced. I have oily, acne prone skin and use the 2% exfoliating liquid to keep my breakouts in check (it's the only thing that will), but it tends to make my skin a bit flaky from time to time. To prevent this, I use a light layer of the moisture gel under my makeup. Not only does it help any dryness I may have, but I swear it helps my skin stay more matte than when I go without. Also, I use a bit as eye cream at night and my eye area has brightened significantly. I LOVE Paula's Choice!

Moisture gel
I just love this product. My skin just drinks this moisture gel up. My skin is dry with small brake outs in the winter. This works very well at not clogging my pores. Its very smooth and glides one every light. Great product for my skin thanks again Paula and I will be trying more of your products.

Best moisturizer
I have never come across such a wonderful, lightweight, non-greasy day time moisturizer. I have very oily skin, but often have surface dryness and flaking since I use both Retin-A and Benzaclin. Therefore I have to apply some type of moisturizer every day, mostly because my makeup will flake off if I don't. In the summer, this product is perfect, eliminating dryness without making my skin the least bit greasy. In the winter when my skin is very dry, it is great for daytime use if I use a heavier moisturizer at night. I only wish it came in a bigger bottle for those who go through it fast!

Great, especially for the eye area
I mostly use this product around the eye area. It's simple, effective, non-irritating. It makes the skin around my eyes smooth so that concealer goes on smoothly. Most eye creams either irritate my skin or make the skin so greasy that any make-up applied ends up 'separating' or 'slipping' off. I don't use this on my face during the day since I already use a moisturizing sunblock, but I do use it occasionally at night and the texture of my skin after application is just so smooth and soft - without the grease! Love it.

After reading these fantastic reviews, I bought this moisturizer. Sure enough, it's as good as people say it is. Typically my face gets really oily throughout today but between this moisturizer and the 2% BHA, my skin has never looked better, and far less oilier.

Awesome under foundation
This is a great moisturizer. I have extremely oily skin and this is the ONLY moisturizer I use. I was actually at Sephora the other day and did a big no no. I overheard a girl talking about how terrible her oily skin was and how she cant find a moisturizer for the life of her. I went up to her and told her about this. Its that great. The only complaint I have is they only make it in 2oz. It runs out extremely fast. I would recommend them making a bigger size.

Good Moisturizer

I've used this moisturizer for the last few years. I have combination/sensitive skin and the moisturizer works very well, soothing and never clogging pores. It is great if you do not have very dry skin. It's lightweight, doesn't 'melt' in the heat, glides smoothly and wears well under makeup (exception: M.A.C. liquid foundations--both products are great, just incompatible on my skin when together).
In winter I need something a little stronger at times and a combination serum + moisturizer solves that.

Great Summer Aftershave
Great for warm weather aftershave. Put it in the fridge for a while, then apply to newly shaved, damp skin. Heaven :)

I have combination skin and this moisturizer is great year round. In the winter I use it all over and in the summer just around my cheeks and eyes. Love its silky feel and it has a very neutral smell.

I loved this product, I think it will be wonderful this summer while its humid and im so oily...not quite enough moisture for me personally all year round when i get a little dryer...but all in all a great product! And it has no smell! Yay!

Great moisturizer!
I have very oily skin and I didn't think this moisturizer would help it at all, but it truly does! I noticed that when I apply the moisturizer in the morning, my skin is about 80% less oily at the end of the day. The gel form applies very well on the skin and does not leave your skin looking oily after applying. My skin is very acne-prone and this moisturizer NEVER breaks me out even when I apply it in the most sensitive areas like my chin. I can just use a little bit to apply to the entire face. Highly recommended!

I thought all the reviews were posted by employees but then I saw Paula on Oprah (us ladies know to trust Oprah no matter what). I ordered a bunch of samples first to make sure I liked them and... I LOVED THEM!!! They came 2 days after I ordered them and I did standard shipping. I love the cleanser for oily skin the toner, ex foliating gel and moisturizing gel! So far, so good!
I just starting using this a month ago. In the spring and summer months, I don't need an additional moisturizer at night. Since the winter weather has arrived, though, I thought I would try this and it really is marvelous. Light texture, goes on easily, does not break me out or cause black heads. I also use it on my hands at night and it sinks right in without feeling greasy.

Almost perfect

Great for aging oily skin
I have a very oily T-zone, but the rest of my face, not to mention my neck, are getting drier as I age. It was impossible to moisturize the dry areas without adding unwanted oiliness to my T-zone. Finally there is a product I can use all over!

This moisturerizer works great! I'm 24 and have combination skin. It makes my cheeks (tend to be normal and little bit dry during winter) very soft and T-zone very matte. The most perfect moisturerizer for those who have combination skin. No greasynes, no tightness, no dryness. Just good amount of moisture. Highly recommended. I use Skin Recovery Moisturizer for my eye area since they tend to be more dry.

This is by far the best moisturizer for sensitive, acne-prone, combination skin. Not only does it keep my skin matte far better than anything else I've tried, but it's also effective at reducing redness. Furthermore, I've noticed my acne scars heal much faster than normal. this moisturizer works very well! It's great for my very oily skin. It has an unpleasant scent, though. I was told by the customer service rep that it was because of the raw ingredients. Wish it smelled better but I still really like it.
