My Holy Grail!
My skincare regime is finally complete!! I've been using most of Paula's skincare for years and I'm thrilled she formulated such an elegant moisturizer with an SPF. Great sunscreen but too white
As soon as I applied it I realized the GREAT TEXTURE it has although it has a SHINY finish that I don't like.I'm sure it WORKS as well as all Paula's products.However I realized the same problems as every Paula's mineral sunscreens:the WHITE CAST.It's a pity because with a hint of color I wouldn't look so 'zombie' and this would be my new favourite one.

I wish I can rave about this product.. This is perfect for people with fair skin, but not for me coz my skin shade is like in between fair and dark..I ended up having a zombie like face T.T

Skin Recovery Daily Moisturizing Lotion
This lotion is surprisingly lightweight. It serves well as a moisturizing sunscreen, but I need to use it over an additional moisturizer for my very dry skin. I must commend the Paula's Choice team for creating a mineral sunscreen that blends impeccably and is virtually transparent. This is among the best of the best.

Nice , but takes a while to absorb
I found this product to be a little on the greasy side but then I am using it for winter because I have dry skin. I was excited about the new ingredients Paula added and that is why I bought it along with the natural sunscreen in it. It is wonderful if you let it soak in before applying foundation but if your using a power foundation, it may not work well if you apply right after the sunscreen . I tried and it was a mess.

Finally, A Moisturizer w/Mineral SPF!
I am SO excited to finally find a moisturizer with a mineral only SPF! This says it's for normal-very dry skin, but I have very oily skin and it works wonderfully, not greasy at all, sinks right in, and makes my skin look luminous and just radiant. I love it, worth the price!

Doesn't help dry skin
If your skin is at all flaky, this moisturizer won't even begin to address the problem. Instead, I reach for Paula's Hydrating Treatment Cream.

softens and protects
This is my current favorite winter sunblock. It protects also against cold wind that can 'bite' my retinoid-treated skin. I apply it immediately after Paula's lightweight sunblock spray, which makes it slip on very easily and appear invisible on my medium-pale skin.

Great for hands too!
I think this is the most fantastic hand lotion (my facial skin is too oily to use it there). It absorbs quickly, feels incredibly soft, and protects my skin from the sun. Love it!

LOVE it
Works beautifully on my super-sensitive skin. I use 3 pumps for my face and 3 more for my neck & upper chest. The whitish cast doesn't last. A bit pricey for me but I love having one daytime product for both moisture and sun protection, because I just don't have the patience for a multi-step regime.

This new sunscreen,considering it is for dry to very dry skin is not very hydrating. I find it dries down to an annoying white powdery finish which had to be buffed into my skin.I used the complete skin recovery program but still found it hard to smooth over my skin. Very good
I started using this winter. Keeps skin moist. I like the dispenser because the correct comes out with only 2 pumps. I apply right out of shower and go do something else while it is absorbed in skin. Whiteness is not a problem if you follow directions...wait.

not quite right yet
First, allow me to say I absolutely LOVE your products. However, the Skin Recovery Daily Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 15 does not seem to be moisturizing enough for me as I have flaky skin. I will use it over top of the Hydrating Treatment Cream for daytime. Please do something about the white...I HAVE to wear makeup when I wear this product to get my skin colour back to normal. I'd rather be able to go without when I want. Thank you and keep up the good products!

This Works!
I have extremely senstive skin, and EVERYTHING causes breakout, broken blood vessels, patchy red areas, and so on. Paula's products do not cause problems for me. I don't even have to use the line for senstive skin. The one for dry skin works great. This product is excellent. I don't mind the slight smell....IT WORKS...that is all I care about! Besides, you don't smell it once it is on! Excellent Line of skin care, and I have tried almost everything out there!

Best for Fair Skin
Many complain that this causes a "white cast" - true as the active ingredients of Titanium and Zinc do just that. This physical sunblock is best for fair skin as the whiteness is less noticeable. For med-darker skin colors try Paula's awesome chemical Avobenzone products.

Great mineral SPF
Almost sent back without trying based on reviews stating it left a white cast. Glad I tried it first. Medium skin tone here and not "white" on me at all. Light texture but moisturizing, absorbs fast, no shine. Extra dry skin may need extra moisturize underneath. For my slightly dry skin it's a great one-step; moisturizer + SPF + antioxidants. Loving the pure mineral SPF.

Goes on white and it is hard to eliminate this ghostly sheen. You have to rub a lot. A version without sunscreen would be nicer.

Grabs onto flakes
i can tell its moisturizing, although somehow it grabs onto flakes. I don't see how this would work for rosacea affected skin, as i am not even that flakey and it made me look really dry. It could be because of the mineral sunscreen, i know the pure mineral sunscreen makes me appear quite flakey as well. I think this needs to be reformulated. yet another beautifully formulated product
This elegant cream is a lovely formula for me because I seem to have devloped an allergy to the regularly formulated sunscreens that are not mineral based. It is a bit too oily for me (t-zone), but with the cysts, mysterious and long-standig bumps and other annoyances due "normal" suncsreens, I'm quite deligted with this all mineral formula with antioxidants. I find it that it soaks in adquetly so, hence, no white cast. I won't leave home witout it. Thanks again for yet another fantastic product.

Great Product but expensive

Great for my rosacea-irritated skin
Love this! Blends well; non-irritating; has minerals instead of chemicals for sunscreen; very moist but not oily. Many moisturizers irritate me because of my rosacea. When my skin is flaking, I use the 1% exfoliating gel first and gently rub the flakes off, then put this on. It even brightens up my skin a little.

Love this product! its convinved me to wear sunscreen 365 days! i have medium olive skin with dryness and some rosacea, and this product goes on like a dream, no white cast, no irritation like with the avobenzone stuff, and just the correct amount of moisture. great with or without makeup. terrible packaging
I loved the old 15 spf formula and used it for years. This one is okay, (although I agree with some other reviewers that it tends to leave a white cast on the skin) but the packaging is awful! I used to use the old formula on my throat, forearms and hands, as well as my face, everyday, but to do that with this one I'd have to buy a new tube every week or two. And the pump makes it very wasteful--it's impossible to get all the product out. Very disappointing.

-- ppl who rate this at lower star usually have a problem with the "white cast"... -- but this product works really well for those with fairer skin tone.. a moisturizer with a PHYSICAL sunblock.. titanium dioxide @ 3.85%... wish it could be higher but that would be even more pale.. Maybe they can incorporate it into various shads of TINTED SPF moisturizer?

This product leaves a film on my skin and is not very moisturizing. I think the product has too much mineral particles in it. I'll try the NEW product with Avebenzone, SPF 45, next.

Ghostly
Not enough moisture for my dry skin. Have had to go shade darker for foundation or else I look like a ghost. Poor design; even with cap on a dry little clump comes out with each pump. Terrific sunscreen
I really like this sunscreen. I have fair, dry skin. Yes, it is white going on, but I like that- I can see where I've put it and where I haven't. And the whiteness fades in about a minute. As for people saying it's too shiny or greasy, they are probably not allowing enough time for it to dry or putting a little too much on (the shininess goes away within ten minutes and doesn't reappear) or they're using a product too rich for their skin type. Love it!

Decadent
This moisturizer is true love for your skin! It works great on very sensitive, allergy prone dry combo skin on my dry areas. It is a little oily but absorbs quickly and a little goes a long way. I have a light/medium skin with a slight tan and have no issues with the white cast. I am using it under liquid foundation. Since it is fragrance free it does have a nutty oily smell but it is not strong or unpleasant.

Disappointing
This may be a great product, but I just can't get beyond the smell--it reminds me of wet cardboard! Paula's Choice should be commended for not using irritating fragrances, but unfortunately, I can now understand why competitors use them to mask the natural smell of the ingredients in their products. Also, the consistency of the product tends to leave a whitish cast on the skin. I really thought this would be the perfect moisturizing sunscreen, but turns out it's a product ripe for a remake, IMHO.

Enjoy this product!
This is the first spf product that has not felt heavy and greasy on my face, yay! Did not wear sunscreen on my face in the past due to the yucky feel so am really glad to find one that is comfortable. I don't have excessivly oily skin, but the matifying feature is nice! Doesn't moisturize quite as much as it could, but use the skin recovery cream at night to make up for it and is a good trade for a light feel during the day.

Disappointed
This is the one Paula's product that disappoints me. It doesn't smooth on easily (my skin is only slightly dry) and I really have to blend away the whitish affect. I much preferred the previous SPF/moisturizer for normal/dry skin. I'm using it for the benefits, but I actually dread it. Not impressed
I Love Paula's advice and products, and I truly wanted to love this moisturizer. At first it seemed to be alright (even though it left a white cast on my face), then after a week or so of using this product, my face was drying out and looked awful. Make up didn't even sit right. I switched to a moisturizer that Paula recommended and my skin is back to normal again. Not sure why it did this but but this product was very disappointing on my somewhat thirsty skin. I rave about your products all the time, but this one's a miss. Too white, needs too much rubbing, leaves a coated feeling on my skin, not moisturizing enough (and it's for very dry skin?). And the packaging - seems like you ned to store it cap side up, which seems upside down, to get the lotion out. Too much of a good thing!
I use Paula's products & the only thing I can't find is a good day moisturizer. I've experimented. Moisturizer (oily) isn't enough & this is new product is way too emollient. Great with makeup
Love this product. I use it alone on "at home" days. Other days I put a dab on my hand and add a dab of my foundation (also SPF 15) to it and blend, then apply. Gives a light makeup cover with a slightly dewy look, which I prefer. Thanks

Greasy and disappointing
Most of Paula's other products are fantastic. Not this sunscreen. It is very difficult to blend in. I put some on yesterday and went from my usual pale to vampirishly ghastly. My skin felt sticky and sweaty the whole day. I couldn't wait to get home so I could just wash it all off. Works for Sensitive Skin!
I tried this as one of the first Paula's Choice items. My son has very sensitive skin and cannot tolerate most moisturizers. He can tolerate this one, if his skin is not super irritated. It also provides a little SPF assurance (for me) when I send him off to school for the day. However, he has dark skin so he doesn't like to put on enough quantity.

Wow! Glowing skin!
What I really like about this product is that it gives my face great hydration and makes my skin look bright. I read that some of the reviewers said it left a "white film" all over their face but I haven't had the problem. It does give my face a radiant glow so when I put on my Paula's foundation my skin just looks rested and brighter. I highly recommend this product!

Lots of Whiteheads
Not sure what's wrong but I purchased this lotion and the 8% AHA gel and the whiteheads won't stop coming. I've never had a problem with them before so I'm going to try using them separately to see which product is the offender! Not for dry, winter climate
The antioxidants in this products may be sufficient, but the moisturizing properties were not for dry, northern winter climate. Left my skin feeling very dry and tight. I am a Paula's choice convert!! I am in my thirties and have used expensive daily sunscreen moisturizers but yours is superior by far! I didn't have any problem with a white hue, in fact it blended invisibly, but it moisturized my skin so well and makes my make up stay on longer and looks like I just applied it at the end of the day. The Only One That Works
I sincerely hope Paula never decides to discontinue this product because it is the *ONLY* sunscreen that I can use on my face. I've tried just about everything. The chemical sunscreens (like avobenzone) irritate my skin significantly. Other titanium/zinc sunscreens leave a blue/white cast on my face. But this product is perfect. It uses titanium/zinc which doesn't irritate my hyper-sensitive skin *and* it doesn't leave a blue/white cast on my face. It really is the only sunscreen that works for me.

Like the SPF, do not like the white color
I am also disappointed that this moisturizer leaves a white cast on my skin. It leaves me looking sickly. I want a daily moisturizer with SPF, but not one that leaves me looking like I have rubbed zinc oxide on my face. Paula used to have a different daily moisturizer with SPF that was much lighter, did not discolor my skin and was perfect-- but I can't find it any more. Twice the price, not as nice
I agree totally with Lee - the old skin recovery moisturizer with spf 15 was fantastic. Great bang for the buck. This is a terrible alternative. Bring back the old stuff!!!!! elegant texture/ safe ingredients
I agree with previous reviewers that it leaves a slight white cast if you put a lot on, but it's not noticeable on fair skin. The formulation for oily skin has oxybenzone, which might cause free radical damage. Even though I have slightly oily skin, I much prefer this formulation for its safe ingredients and elegant texture. (If you have very oily skin, this will likely be too heavy for you.)

Sunscreen
I love the Skin Recovery Daily Moisturizing Lotion. It goes on smoothly and doesn't leave a white cast on my face (as others have). I have been purchasing Paula's Choice products for years and I can't help noticing how the packaging has become smaller and the prices have increased. I used to receive my SPF products in a 6oz tube and now it's down to a 2 oz container. What a difference. I would rather purchase a larger container to cut down on packaging and shipping. Skin Recovery Daily Moisture Lotion
Not what I expected, which was a good dry skin moisture lotion for under makeup with a sunscreen added. Big let down. Foundation did not go over it well. Just another rather greasy sunscreen like many others. I'll use it up on my arms, but really do not like it for the face. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your feedback. First Paula's product, definitely blown away. Extremely fast absorbing, perfectly moisturizes while does not leave greasy feel (I wouldn't even have guessed it contained SPF), and makes the skin silky smooth. This is a great product & works wonderfully on my rosacea-prone skin. The only problem is the plastic top always breaks. I wish it was packaged like the non-SPF Skin Recovery Moisturizer. Beautiful Finish
The lotion is such a nice finish to my daily skin care regimen. It leaves a glowing hue on my skin even so I don't on some days wear any foundation. It feels silky without feeling greasy.....love it!!

lovely texture
I do really like this stuff. Does not have that tacky "sunscreen" feel. Very light yet a little bit moisturizing, perfect for my combination normal/oily skin. I don't use it around my eyes as they are sensitive to the synthetic sunscreens. I use Skin Recover Daily Moisturizing Lotion SPF15 for around eyes - wish this product was an SPF30 or more, though. PERFECT!
Unlike the medium to darker skin tones, this is perfect for fair tones (even with a touch of sun). It is also a perfect product for those who might be normal to dryer skin, seeing that it leaves a nice moisture barrier to the face when cosmetics are applied-so as to avoid that powdered face look. love it!

For casual wear, meaning less than four hours total time out in the sun, it is not necessary to reapply sunscreen as you will be protected all day. If you are perspiring or just spending a longer period of time outdoors, it should be reapplied.
