Best PC Moisturizer for Me
Despite my combination oily/dry skin, this has worked for me as a day/night moisturizer over my RESIST Intensive Wrinkle-Repair Retinol Serum. With these two products, I have been able to stop using all my other facial products, and am thrilled with my new face. Wrinkles gone/not noticeable; texture and tone is great; and no breakouts ever. And the bonus is that you only have to use a very small amount, and it lasts forever. It is also great on your neck and decolletage! Please never stop making this!

So rich
I've had a tube of this sitting on my shelf for awhile and just recently started to appreciate just how wonderful it is! I have started using the clarisonic Mia and I love using it with PC Skin recovery cleanser and then applying this mask afterwards for some skin pampering. I do this at night and leave it on for 30 min-hours. I absolutely adore how soft my skin is afterwards. I have combination skin (the annoying kind where it's oily and shiny but flaky at the same time) and I think I will use this as a daily lotion for spot treatments as well. I have had no skin irritation of any sorts from it. I will continue to repurchase!

Love this moisturizer!
I have always had normal-dry skin, although lately it's been more dry because of the dry winter weather. I tried out a bunch of different moisturizers and none of them were doing anything for my skin (I had some flaking around my nose). My sister recommended Paula's Choice because I've also been growing more allergic to moisturizers with fragrances (I used to be obsessed with Laura Mercier's Mega Moisturizer), so she thought I should try a fragrance-free product. I read that some people use this mask as a moisturizer, so I decided to give it a shot because I needed some serious moisturizing. I must say that I love this product - it is REALLY moisturizing and probably wouldn't work for anyone who has combination/oily skin, but for those who suffer from dryness, I would recommend using it at night (and waking up with soft skin, which never used to happen) or using a small amount under an SPF moisturizer during the day. I will definitely buy this again - and the price is so reasonable for the size, especially when I used to pay over $50 for a small jar of LM moisturizer!

Amazing turn out in one night!
I was referred to Paula's from a friend and was excited to use there products. I first tried this recovery mask to help with dry skin. I absolutely saw a difference in just one night! It didn't leave my face feeling oily or anything. Simply soft and almost looking rejuvenated. Highly recommend this product.

disappointed
i don't like this mask at all. after using it twice, my skin developed many many tiny bumps on my cheeks to the point that i thought i got psoriasis. i stopped using it immediately and the bumps went away. i thought i'll use this as a hand cream, but my hands developed a few bumps too. i was really hoping that this mask would work since i'm looking for a hydrating mask to add to my skincare routine, but i was disappointed. Like many here I'm using this as a moisturizer. I have rosacea and have been on the hunt for a non-irritating moisturizer. After a week of use, I am in love w/this product! I love the texture, and the lack of fragrance. I actually look forward to applying it bc it feels so soothing and seems to provide a nice barrier against winter conditions. Love it!!

I purchased this as a replacement for the Skin Recovery Moisturizer which has an odor that just doesn't agree with my sensitive nose. I have very dry skin and this is the perfect night and day moisturizer. Leave it on and see how great it is!

Skin Recovery Hydrating Mask is a lifesaver in our cold Canadian winters. Even though I have combination skin, I often get dry, flaky patches in the winter months. One or two nights of using this mask as a night cream and my skin is plump, soft, smooth, and flake-free. I've never tried anything, not even a Rx cortisone cream, that healed dry, flaky skin so fast. It's also great under my eyes for adding extra moisture. I wouldn't be without it. As far as a change in my skin according to description in terms of moisturization just did not happen for me, else I would have bought more. I'm 51 with dry skin and have been using this product for years. Yes, it works great as a mask, but I also leave it on as a nighttime moisturizer (would be too heavy as daytime moisture) (I use it on top of my retinol serum) when my skin gets very dry -- it really hydrates it well!

THE BEST daily moisturizer
I recently started using this product as my daily moisturizer instead of a mask as suggested by previous reviewers. Wow I wish I'd tried it sooner! I have very dry skin with mild rosacea. This is the only product I have found that doesn't make my rosacea flare. I suspect I may have a problem with cetearyl alchol and this is one of the few moisturizers I have found without that ingredient. Please never discontinue!

Best moisturizer for my skin
I started to panic when I didn't find this product immediately on the website just now (even though I actually think it is in the same place it has always been) and knew I had to write a review. This is my every day moisturizer and I am lost without it. If I run out, within a day or two I start to get red, dry, irritated patches on my cheeks and my skin generally feels tight and dry. I don't know what I'd do if this one was discontinued. Please don't ever do it!

Amazing during winter cold
I recieved this right as I got my beginning of the winter cold. I applied it morning and night and never wound up with the chapped skin around my nose and on my lips which always last way longer than the cold for me! It seemed to help with a fresh sunburn too.

Did not suit my skin at all :(
This mask has a highly emollient feel, no doubt. However on my face, it just stung on first applying it, & the next morning I woke up with white bumps. I gave it 2 tries, w/ same results. This will go back unfortunately. I think I may have better luck w/ the Barrier Repair Moisturizer I tried for my winter-dry skin. AMAZING for winter lips
I don't have particularly dry skin but sometimes I need to banish a few flakes so I got this mask to have on hand. Recently, my lips have been soooo dry, they peel and crack. Painful! I rubbed some of this mask onto my lips overnight and in a few days they were healed! Amazing amazing amazing.

Moisture - great cream for everyday use
I have super dry skin and it is very sensitive. I have a difficult time finding anything that works well on my face and this product I absolutely love. Its creamy, but does not clog my pores. I rarely use it as a mask - I typically apply at night and sleep in it or under make up when my skin is feeling dry. I am in my mid 40's and would be bummed if it was ever discontinued. The size is perfect for me and really lasted a long time.

I may have found the Holy Grail!
I decided to try this product after seeing it was on sale and someone mentioned it was good for sunburned skin. I'm in my 50s and have always had oily/combination acne-prone sensitive skin, and almost every moisturizer made breaks me out around the nose and chin. I've found a couple of very light-weight gel-based moisturizers to use in the daytime or when it's hot and humid, but I've always struggled finding a more emollient product to use after sun exposure, in cold weather, or just when my skin needed more hydration. Well, this product is it. I used it the first night it arrived as an overnight moisturizer since I didn't have to be anywhere the next day, in case I had a big white pimple on my nose when I awoke. I got up the next morning, looked in the mirror, and no breakout but my skin looked and felt soft, smooth and plump. I decided to put on a thin layer after washing my face to see how my skin would react during the day, and it gave me soft and hydrated skin that didn't get excessively oily throughout the day. I was a little shiny by evening, but that's nothing compared to how oily I usually get within three hours each morning. Wow!!!!! Now I've been using the product day and night for almost a week...not one breakout and my facial skin looks hydrated, calmed and radiant. Amazing.
I recommend trying this if you have sensitive skin, oily or combo skin, and/or if you are prone to breakouts. I asked the customer service rep to send me a sample along with the shipment to test first so I could return an unopened tube if needed. I know within a day if a product will cause a break out, and this one DEFINITELY has not! Everyone's skin is different, but try this as a sample and see how your skin reacts...I hope, like me, you'll be thrilled you did!

Amazing Winter Moisturizer
I have combo skin; the normal parts get dry in the harsh winter climate I live in. Several reviews pushed me to give this product a try for the winter. I apply this at night as a moisturizer and my face now feels and looks "plump" in the morning. I also been applying this mask on my left hand where I have dry, itchy, scaly spots, which only show up in the winter. and they are gone. My hand doesn't look ugly anymore this winter. This product is a keeper for me.

My facial skin has been very disrupted due to surgery in the last several months. I have experienced redness, tightness, dry patches, break outs and irritation - the whole enchilada in fact. Anyhow, this is the only cream I can use at this moment. I use it under my make-up and also as a mask, and as an overnight cream. Please don't stop making this.

Superb non-comedogenic moisturizer
I have fairly resistant oily skin and because of stress,experienced rashes and irritation on my face. I bought this to use as a masque, but instead, used it to moisturize irritated facial areas. It has a wonderful consistency. I also use it around my eyes. Once my skin calmed down and I cold use taxorac again, I found this to be great to mix it with. So versatile! A night cream, an eye cream and a delivery system for other products.

I was a user of cliniques moisture online until clinique decided to discontinue the product (to my horror). Moisture online was the only product that would hydrate my dry skin during the NY winters. No other cream came close. I have been searching long for a replacement and reading blogs written by other moisture online fans also disappointed by the product discontinuation. There was a recommendation to try Paula's hydrating mask as a moisturizer. This formula hydrates just as fantastic as the clinique cream AND it has antioxidants! My search is finally over!

OH NO!!!!
I bought 5 products from the skin recovery line based on a friends recommendation. She has incredible skin so I figured I would give it a try. All of the products I bought so far have been simply amazing, including the teeth whitener I also purchased however, the "skin recovery hydrating treatment mask" irritated my skin to a point that it seems as if i have a chemical burn on the apples of my cheeks. I used this product as directed one evening and realized the next day that my skin was very red and tender. So, thinking maybe I needed more moisture, I used it again the next night. OUCH!!! It stung when I put it on but still not putting two and two together and wanting to give this product a chance I left it on my face. I mean it is a moisturizer right , But oddly enough it did the opposite to my skin. It dried it out and left it tender, peeling and literally burnt. Caused breakout
I bought this a while ago, and just used it recently. I used twice in one week, and ended up with 2 very large cyst type of blemishes. As nothing else in my routine changed, I chalked it up to this product. I normally get breakouts very rarely but do have very sensitive skin. Incredible as a Moisturizer!!
I have been using the Hydrating Treatment Cream, yet I find it to be a bit sticky and too heavy (especially under makeup). This mask though is AWESOME! I use it as a moisturizer and it sinks right in! It's soooo moisturizing! I don't think the hydrating cream is that moisturizing at all. Please never stop making this and don't ever change the formula. It is the only cream that I will ever use! PERFECT!!

Much More Than A Mask
It's a shame to catagorize this amazing product as just a mask. I have found it to be the absolute perfect night cream, especially if you have any skin issues like redness or irritation. I use it after laser treatments, and it's the only product that has been able to take away the redness within a few hours. I also apply it as my night cream, often combining it with a Paula's Choice serum. My skin has never been so smooth and flawless- - -it's just amazing!

Love this!
"Mask" seems like an odd term for this; rather it's like a nice, thick cream that will soak into your skin if you leave it on overnight. It does not dry into a hard mask and really does not need to be rinsed until you wash your face the next morning. I have been using this once a week, but may start using it more often now that the heater is on most of the time and my skin seems drier.

Saved My Skin
It feels like I have the worst mix of all possible options, sensitive older skin that is very dry and acne prone. I was at a loss, my skin was scaly and tight but to put anything on it cause scarring acne breakouts. Make-up foundations looked terrible, clumpy around the dryness and sloughing off completely around my nose. I use this product twice a day as a moisturizer, a bit extreme maybe, but my skin feels like skin for the first time in my life! Thanks, Paula! Winter Skin Solution!
In winter, the normal areas of my skin are often dry! That's significant to me because I am a very well controlled Rosacea patient...most of the time. I took the idea of using this luscious creme as an eye area moisturizer and just use it as my Winter Moisturizer for the dry parts of my skin day or night (my nose never gets any, for example). Happy, balanced feeling skin even in Winter! Yea!

Mask or moisturizer? Works either way!
As a mask, this is luxurious and smoothing. But worn overnight as a treatment, or rubbed into cuticles during the day time, or even smoothed over chapped lips, it is wonderful. I have this one area of flaky skin over one side of my lip area, and this smooths that out wonderful. I just wait a while before applying lip color (and maybe apply some to my cuticles while I'm waiting) and viola, excellent results. I even used it on a healed curling-iron burn, and it seems to make the residual redness fade away, leaving healthy skin behind. Totally fragrance free, in fact, no fragrance at all to speak of. I can't use it all over my face every night, but for an occasional over-night treatment, or for spot treatments on lips, dry flaky areas, or cuticles it definitely exceeds my expectations.

Great stuff at a great price!
I use this as my nightly facial moisturizer on top of the Skin Revealing Body Lotion 10%AHA. My 39 year old skin is always soft and smooth in the mornings. Works great around the eyes too. I've been recommending both products to all my friends.

Double duty for licking dry skin!
I have very dry, sensitive skin, but for some reason this is a little heavy for me. I still love what it does for my skin the next day but I couldn't use it daily. That being said -- It's an amazing product and I will never use another mask on my face, ever again. While It isn't worth it for me to keep a whole bottle of this on hand I will ALWAYS have a sample bought and ready for when our chilly WA weather gives my skin a beating.

My new winter go-to
I was a little nervous to try this mask because I don't have what I'd consider to be Very Dry skin, and I was afraid it might cause breakouts. However, I've recently been having trouble with peeling/flaking, so I took the chance. I started cautiously, not even leaving it on a full 20 minutes the first time. But my skin loves it! No breakouts at all, and I now leave it on all night; sometimes I even use it around my eyes during the daytime. My complexion feels downright dewy again!

I got this as a bonus & am thrilled w/ it. Would not have thought I could use it anywhere on my oil/blemish prone 47 yr old face. Wrong! It's the only thing that works on the wrinkles under my eyes. Use it as a moisturizer & never wash it off. I use it before bed & under concealer.

Great After Glycolic Peel!

I really wanted to use this on my face but it is very irritating to my skin there. This is now the second Paula's product I cannot wear because of skin irritation and I am disappointed. The other being the Super Antioxidant Concentrate. I do buy it however to use on hands and it does an excellent job there, so I have rated it a 3.

I use this as my regular moisturizer for night/day
Both my husband and I use this moisturizer. He has problems with dry, flaky skin and since we live in the desert, I have trouble finding moisturizers that don't require reapplication after a few minutes. I know this product is sold as a mask but for our climate, it works great as an everyday lotion for face and hands. (I wear one of Paula's oil free sunscreen sprays over it in the daytime since I like having SPF 30 on my skin and all of her daytime moisturizers are only SPF 15.) I think that this is a great product and would highly recommend it to those seeking an intensively emollient lotion, especially because one need only put the product on once and not again and again, as with many facial moisturizers!

I bought this to try as an eye cream b/c I have a very dry eye area but more oily elsewhere. I was trying all of Paula's richer moisturizers to find my favorite. While this one didn't work for me b/c it made my eyes water a lot, my husband loves it. This is his favorite eye cream. Excellent day or night
I have dry skin that takes a glow fairly easily. I like to skip foundation and use this product as a cream, a mineral-based sunscreen, and powder as a base. As a mask, it's decadent. It's so rich, my dry skin loves it--a fact that doesn't go unnoticed. It's my favorite product in this line.

Ever since I started using this mask, people are asking me what I'm doing to my face. I'm blackhead prone but this has completely cleared up everything. I'm 50 and have large pores. I'm oily and flaky as well. Drying out your skin too much can actually clog your pores This mask seems to do wonders. Can't explain it but I aint giving it up anytime soon. I put it on very last at night and leave it on all night. I also put it on in the morning a few hours before I shower. Wow, you would pay soooooo much money for this product at a department store. This mask is incredible. My face is extremely dry and flaky during the winter months. I apply this mask 20 minutes before my shower twice a week and the dry, tight feeling is gone. It doesn't make me break out either. I'd recommend this to anyone with dry skin.

Best mask for dry skin
I always had oily, acne-prone skin, then my face suddenly changed. I was suffering from dryness that other, more expensive products were not helping. Started using the Skin Recovery line, and voila- renewed skin. I use this weekly as a rinse-off mask, and it works wonders to moisturize my dry skin. Also, it is suprememly gentle- I am a fair-skinned redhead and am allergic to A LOT of ingredients. This doesn't irritate my skin at all. Thanks for this well-priced product line, Paula!

I thought Paula didn't like masks of any kind. Did Paula change her mind? It is true that Paula is not a big fan of most masks but mostly because so many contain irritating ingredients or are poorly formulated. Paula decided to formulate a superior moisturizing mask that not only softens the skin but also soothes and boosts skin's moisture reserves. For best results, how often do I need to use Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask? Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask can be used as often as needed. How often you use it depends on your skin type and personal preference. Those with normal skin can use this mask once per week.
