Deceivingly Perfect!
This serum is great! It looks like it would be very greasy but although it is has olive oil in it, somehow it absorbs right into my skin and moistens it just right. I am very happy with it.

Fabulous Serum
The ingredients in this serum "rock". I use RESIST Intensive Wrinkle-Repair Retinol Serum under my Skin Recovery Hydrating Tx Mask at night, and use this product in the daytime under the same moisturizer/mask. This 53 y/o face hasn't looked this good in 15 years!!

Wonderful texture
Just finished my first tube of this I bought last year. I tend to only use this at night - I've found that if I put this on under most moisturizers with sunscreen, it tends to pill up when I rub in the moisturizer over it. Unsure why this is not the case at night. Overall, I love the silky texture and the ingredient list, but have been wanting to try the RESIST serum for a while, so I may cheat on this product for a while. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. A small amount of the serum goes a long way and is all that is needed per application. The issue you are having with the product balling up up can happen occasionally and this occurance varies from person to person. The cause may be due to the other products you are using. sometimes certian products simply do not "play well" together and balling will happen as you layer products. There are a couple of solutions. Great Eye Treatment!
I recently bought this eye treatment and am so glad I did. I LOVE it. I definitely wouldn't use this all over my face as I tend to have oily skin that is sensitive to breaking out, BUT as an under eye moisturizer, this is fantastic. It does feel a little heavy and a little goes a long way, but within 5-10 minutes it absorbs and feels amazing. My skin under my eyes feel so much smoother and softer. Now I just need the fine lines to "fall off"! haha But I guess it has only been 3 days.

This is the only serum i have tried.
I like this serum but really would like to try the new Resist version like this with retinol but the only reason i don't is because of the pump packaging. Paula please put that serum in a tube like the others!!! I love all your stuff and i read your first book "Blue eyeshadow should be illegal" when i was 12 years old and have been hooked ever since! This is my favorite product in the line, I use it after the BHA treatment, which can dry out the skin a bit. I was shocked my the consistancy when I first opened it, but the product sinks in well. I put a small drop in my hand and a drop of my moisturizer (Resist Barrier Moisturizer, blend together and then apply. It doesn't appear "oily" on your face that way and you can apply make-up right away!

Great anti-dark circle eye moisturizer!
Although my skin is dry, this was too emollient for me. Within a week of using the serum, I started getting little white bumps on my chin and on my cheeks. I then stopped using it all over my face and used it only around the eye area. What I did discover (hence the 4 star rating)is that this is a magnificent eye moisturizer! It has helped diminish my dark circles and made my under eye area look even, moisturized and luminous. I now use a lot less concealer. This is the only product that has helped my dark circles!

like the product, but the packaging...?
I gave this product a 3 purely because of the packaging. My serum came in white flexible plastic packaging (with blue letters) and a screw on lid. Every time I use the serum, I squeeze some out, then I hear air going back into the tube. From what I have read of Paula's research, air is an enemy to the antioxidants and beneficial ingredients in skin care products. So far I dearly love the serum, but I have to wonder how much of the effectiveness has been lost since more air gets in the tube everytime I use it. I see now on the website that the packaging has changed, so perhaps this has been addressed. I wish I would have known about the packaging change....I would have waited to purchase. I had never tried this product or the line before, I am from Canada and you don't hear about it here, anyway I used it now for a few days and the difference in my skin is fantastic. AWW... Moisture!!
This Serum is AMAZING!!! Since I stared using it I have seen results I couldn't be more thrilled with. The nasty little lines around the corners of my eyes have seem to almost disappear. It is a MOISTURIZING so if you have Oliy skin do not apply it all over the face. I use it around my eyes and on my laugh lines just enough to give them a light "Glaze". GIVE YOUR SELF TIME TO LET IT DRY! BEST for NIGHT USES if you have a pretty full morning routine of creams and primers etc.. LOVE YOU PAULA THANK YOU FOR YOUR WHOLE LINE OF SKIN CARE!!

disappointed, too oily
Overall, I have enjoyed the products I have purchased from PC, but this serum really disappointed me. It feels like I am putting pure oil on my face and it does not sink into my skin at all. My face just looks like an oily mess, and there is no way I could use this under makeup. I was expecting more of a serum-like texture, but this feels like oil, and I am concerned that it may be clogging my pores (I'm not sure if it actually is, but it feels very heavy). I really like this serum. At first I found it too heavy for my skin, but I decreased the amount I was applying (a little goes a long way), and it worked wonders! My picky skin does well with it. I'm a fan!

kinda oily for combination skin
the serum is very rich so it is prone to get acne. However, it is great for eyes. Only concern is I get some tiny white bump below the eyes, is it because it is too rich and oily below the eyes? So Far, So Good!
Read my other review under the Resist Intensive Wrinkle Repair Retinol Serum. I have VERY sensitive and have been unable to use retinol and retin-A products. I ordered sample packets of this serum and was pleasantly surprised by how emollient it was without being greasy or oily. I use this around my eyes and the Repair Retinol Serum on my face and neck. Check out my comments under the Resist Serum and give it a try! I'm glad I did.

Maybe not good for rosacea
I've been using this product for a few weeks and have noticed my rosacea has really flared up. Is there something in this that maybe is not good for rosacea clients? I use your other products with great results. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. It is hard to know exactly which ingredient, combination of ingredients, or outside factors contributed to your skin responding negatively to this product. Sometimes those with rosacea or extra sensitive skin cannot tolerate too many antioxidants and since this is an antioxidant rich product it could have been too much for your skin. I've been using this product for about a week now and so far I absolutely love it. It makes my skin feel like silk every time I apply. I bought this primarily because it contains retinol and I have acne red marks that I would like to see fade. I'll let you guys know how my skin looks in a month, but so far so good!

Excellent value!
I gave this serum a try after finishing the last of a very expensive (and not really effective) serum. I've been using PG's skin recovery serum now for the last 6 months or so and the results are stellar. I am 50+ with combo/sensitive skin and this product improved the texture and tone, and unbelievably, thickened my eyebrows. I use it as a night serum and also as a primer under make-up. The excess I rub into my cuticles. It's like the Midas touch; wherever I apply, it turns to wonderful. Love the little tube, snugs neatly into a drawer. Nice non-fragrance with a faint whiff of cucumber perhaps. I'm on my 2nd tube...and relishing the benefits gained and money saved.

My skin has never looked better. I use most of the skin recovery products and the resist spf 25 during the day. I always have had pretty good skin, but now it's great! I probably don't need foundation! My skin feels smooth, firm and I really have no lines. Pretty great for having achieved the half century mark! Prices are great too.

I enjoy all 3 antioxidant serums; I switch off depending on the needs of my skin or the season. But I am most partial to the Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant Concentrate. It feels so luxurious; I feel like I'm pampering my face every time I use it. It feels so light; I love how it just glides across my skin and absorbs immediately. Whenever I've had a late night and didn't get a good night's sleep, it shows in my face the next day. Using this serum and applying a thin layer of the Skin Recovery Hydrating Mask plumps up the skin and restores the glow and radiance instantly. I always have 1 or 2 tubes as backup so I'm never, ever without it. Paula's products are THE best!

MUST TRY!!!
This is truly an outstanding product. I use it everyday under my spf. You couldn't ask for a better serum. As it's described, it apparently has the best cocktail of ingredients. But the kicker is the texture. The best for making your skin look flawless under foundation! I feel like there must be more to the perfecting ability than just silicone. But whatever it is, it works - skin looks crazy smooth. I gave up my $56 georgio armani primer, as I'm getting the same smoothing result + the antioxidants, etc.

Can't live without it
I'm devoted to all my Paula's Choice products, but this is the one product I absolutely couldn't do without. If I'm in a rush or I'm tired at night, I'll wash my face and then just apply this product, and in the morning my skin is soft, radiant, and noticeably smoother. I had begun to develop a line between my eyebrows (from deep thinking, I hope) that was forming into a permanent wrinkle. I've been using this product for a few months, and the line is so dramatically reduced it's almost invisible. I try new products when PC comes out with them, but I'll never replace this with another product.

Little tube of magic
After stumping up for the most exorbitant international shipping I've ever paid for, I almost fainted when I saw how small this tube is.
Soon figured out it will still last ages, and it's worth every cent. In addition to sunspots, acne scarring and milia (which are all improving rapidly thanks to the BHA/Hydroquinone product), my sun-abused 26-yr-old skin already has proper wrinkles, dry flaky patches, and tends to go red and puffy for no apparent reason.
My friends are now rapidly getting sick and tired of me raving about this product.
It melts into my skin, leaving the softest, silkiest finish - perfect for a make up primer. I wear it under a plain paraffin-based cream at night, and under my sunscreen in the day time, and I haven't had any dry or flaky patches since I started using it.
My puffy under-eye circles are no more, and while I've finally accepted Paula's mantra - that nothing will magically erase the wrinkles around my eyes, lips and on my forehead - my skin feels firmer and tighter, and the lines are shallower and less noticeable.
I'm such a fan - this doesn't need a fragrance or to be a prettier colour. It just needs to keep working like it does!!

My Only Eye and Lid Moisturizer.
For about six months this has been the only moisturizer I use on and around my eyes (below them and on the eyelid) morning and night. Before that I used it for a few years over or under another (insanely expensive) moisturizer, despite what Paula said about special eye creams not being necessary. Well, in my case she was right: My eye and eyelid area look really youthful and healthy since I stopped using any other cream but this. (I used to use this only at night too, as I thought it wouldn't work under makeup, but it does.) I use very little at one time.

I didn't know this one had retinol in it until Paula updated her site to show that. They said it always had retinol. I like this one....I use it at night so the fact that it is very shiny doesn't bother me....at least I can see where I put it :) This one doesn't have the same healing properties as the blue antioxidant without retinol....the blue one actually for some reason heals pimples and redness faster.

My older (used to be oily but started getting dry patches)combination skin loves this. Absorbs fast, no breakouts, bumps or bad smell. Large pores and wrinkles are diminished. My skin finally feels balanced-no excess oil or dry patches. Wow!

Fantastic Product

With very sensitive skin, I have tried everything & only ever found one moisturizer that did not cause breakouts. When it was discontinued, I used plain aloe for years. Now I use this serum & love it. Feels oily at first but soaks right in & works very well. I LOVE that there is NO odor as I am sensitive to that as well. Please keep the product as is!! Thank you!

I LOVE this product. For years my focus has been on battling my breakouts, but recently I've had to admit my skin has changed to drier rather than oily and I started thinking about wrinkles. I tried the samples of this product a little leary of the normal to VERY dry rating on it since I don't have VERY dry skin. The texture when it came out was very thick and syrupy feeling, but after 10 seconds on my face, the finish was like heaven. Light, satiny, not even a HINT of stickiness, or greasiness. I've broken out from both of the other PC antioxidant serums, but not ever from this one. And my skin looks brighter and feels softer than it ever has. Ever. This is another super star product from Paula.

Serum saves the day
My skin always looks considerably better when I remember to include this into my routine. It feels silky on the skin and is a great primer to use under my foundations or tints. I love to apply at night. Its gentle enough for my eyes which is a bonus! Not sure if I am supposed to use directly on my lips but it seems to help me during the dry winter months. Either I'm hallucinating, or just one day of using this product has indeed begun to diminish the fine lines under my eyes. Nothing else has worked like this little tube has. I don't think it smells "rancid" at all as one reviewer above stated - on the contrary, it doesn't have a strong smell. This is a keeper, especially at this price.

Top Notch
I've been looking for an intense treatment serum to replace the very costly and overly greasy (yet super effective) Sanitas Topical C. This is it. I love how well it soaks into my skin leaving a non-greasy velvet feel. I can tell it's very nourishing. I had several blemishes when I started using it and they healed practically overnight. This is a keeper!

Due to "economic circumstances" I have been unable to continue to buy Renova (at apx $120 a tube), which I have been using for nearly 30 years. I was in a real panic.
Then I received a birthday coupon from Paula and decided to try the Super Antioxidant Serum after reading so many glowing reviews.
I'm not sure what I was expecting. but I'm thrilled with what I've gotten - my crows feet actually look better than they have in years!!
Like many others, I'm disturbed about the air that gets sucked back into the the tube every time I use it and truly do not understand the rationale for not packaging this stuff in such a way as to eliminate exposure to the air. It goes against everything she preaches.
But until the air destroys the efficacy of the serum, I'm very happy with the effect it is having on my skin.

SUCCESS FINALLY!
I have used Paula's Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant Concentrate for 6 months. I apply the silky oil after washing my face. It absorbs into my skin in 5 minutes. Then I apply a very thin layer of Skin Recovery Moisturizer and what a difference! My skin has never looked more radiant and felt so soft.
Reformulating the Concentrate is not required. "If it ain't broke don't fix it". PLEASE!

Miracle tube turns back the clock!!!!
I love this stuff!!!! I use it every night before I put the skin recovery moisturizer on and it makes a huge difference. I put it around my eyes, forehead, and mouth and have noticed a dramatic difference in my skin after only a week of using it. My skin is plumper and the fine lines are slowly disappearing. Paula's Choice Serums
I've recently received several samples. Am testing them one at a time so if I have a reaction, I will know which one it is. I've tried the Resist Serum and had a tight dry feeling--did not like it at all. The Skin Recovery Antioxidant Serum is so much better. It leaves your skin soft and silky. Some of the reviewers are complaining about a rancid odor--I did not experience this from the sample packs. Could it be that if this product is kept for a long period, some of the oils can become rancid? Just a thought. Please do not add any fragrances to this product! Am looking forward to "testing" your other products.

Let me just state that this product does not smell rancid. Even my husband smelled it and said there was no smell to it whatsoever. I'm not exactly sure what it does for my skin but my skin looks and feels amazing since using Paula's Choice products. I highly recommend this product!

Best Product I've Ever Used Around My Eyes
Since moving to a drier climate a couple of years ago, I started experiencing redness, dryness and more pronounced fine lines around my eyes. Heavy moisturizers at night did help but it wasn't until I started using this product that I noticed a significant difference. One to two drops is enough and I dab it around my eyes at night and the dry red flakiness was gone in a couple of nights.

Skin care products feel the best when they absorb easily into the skin. I tried this serum and it just sat on my face like olive oil. It would not sink in no matter how much I rubbed. I appreciate all that wonderful ingredients that this product contains, but it just does not feel nice when it sits on top of my skin. Healed Black Widow Bite!!!
This product is amazing!! My husband was bitten on the arm by a Black Widow spider which leaves a crater b/c the venom is acidic and it's known to not heal very quickly. Since he had better results using the mattifying version after a mole was removed on his face than with the doctor recommended Mederma, he was willing to give this a try too. The improvement was dramatic!! The wound depression filled in and the healing was remarkable. He had better results using this in 3 days than he did in 3 1/2 weeks without it!!! It was miraculous. The Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant Concentrate really gives skin what it needs to function optimally. And, he told me I'd have to buy another one because he's keeping this one to for himself :) Thank you Paula once again!

Not bad not great.
I am prone to breakouts and all of Paula's products have been great on my skin. This serum however did cause me the occasional zit. I decided to just use this product around my eyes and it's been issue free. It'd be nice of the packaging was airtight however.

Simply the best
I wasn't expecting a whole lot of immediate change from this product- I thought it was just something to apply for help in the long-term. Boy, was I wrong. I have been suffering from red, scaly patches of dry skin due to hormone changes (early menopause) that even $100 moisturizer hadn't helped. I had given up. I put this on and not only were the flakes "bye-bye", but the redness diminished to the point I didn't feel the need to put foundation on. Amazing product!

I just tried this product as my skin was dry and irritated from a light peel. I put this on and in two days my skin was no longer red, tight or irritated. I use this with the treatment mask every night -- especially around my eyes-- fabulous,thank you Paula!
It also helped heal a cold sore a little more quickly with less peeling/cracking/bleeding when I applied it at night and put a small band-aid over it.

Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant Concentrate

Quite an Improvement!
I tried the first antioxidant serum Paula's Choice put out and wasn't really impressed, so I didn't bother with the new ones until I received some free samples. Then I was hooked! I use this one at night and wake up with plump, healthy looking skin. Despite being quite rich, it's never caused a pimple on my combination skin.

I use the Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum around my eyes. I have very sensitve dry skin and this serum hydrates my eye area like no other serum has! Just pure moisture! Despite the stellar ingredients in this product the unpleasant smell prevents me from ordering this serum again. If you can get rid of the nasty smell I will reorder in a heartbeat. Keeping my fingers crossed.....

Reliably perfect skin
When I use this daily, my skin is perfect without fail. No "bad skin days" ever! That's what I love most about your products: how reliable they are. If you use this serum, your skin will look fantastic, period. the only other things you need are sunscreen and maybe alpha hydrox at night, or beta hydrox during the day.

I was excited to try this. Unfortunately, I seen to be sensitive to something in this serum, because it stung and burned when I put it on. However, I sent it back and exchanged it for the Hydrating Treatment Cream, which was sent to me very promptly and which I love-- very silky, lots of moisture without greasiness, and no stinging.

Must Have Product
LOVE IT LOVE IT! This is the #1 PC product I don't want to be without! I battle flakiness, especially around the eyes, and have tried every serum and eye cream out there, but NOTHING moisturizes the eye area like this wonderful serum. It looks oily for a moment when you first apply it, but it soon sinks in and provides (along with moisture recovery cream) a perfect base for concealer. And it doesn't irritate my eyes at all! I will make sure to never run out of this particular item!

Can't live without
I've been using the skin recovery super antioxidant concentrate for several months, and it is incredible. I started applying it under my eyes and around my mouth where I was beginning to see fine lines, and it has helped so much. The lines around my eye area aren't completely gone, but they are definitely lessened. The lines around my mouth are completely erased. Please don't ever stop making this!

Healing breakouts
I use benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid products to reduce breakouts, but even gentle treatment dries out my skin. Using the Skin Recovery Antioxidant Concentrate is fabulous for healing inflamed and dried-out skin where I am afraid a cream would cause more breakouts! If only it was cheaper, though it still beats many competitors.

What is the difference between Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant Concentrate and the other Super Antioxidant Concentrates?
Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant Concentrate contains several plant oils and a greater variety of antioxidants known to be especially beneficial for normal to very dry skin than our original Super Antioxidant Concentrate. Skin Balancing Super Antioxidant Mattifying Concentrate contains special dry-finish silicones and absorbent ingredients that make it ideal for normal to very oily skin. The anti-irritants in Skin Balancing Super Antioxidant Mattifying Concentrate were specially selected to minimize redness and inflammation resulting from blemishes. Our original Super Antioxidant Concentrate is an option for all skin types looking to supplement skin with several antioxidants.
What does this product do?
The primary purpose of Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant Concentrate is to supply the skin with a selection of effective and potent antioxidants and anti-irritants. It has a silky silicone base that efficiently delivers the antioxidants into the top layers of skin and helps enhance the product's stability.
I use a prescription product with tretinoin (i.e. Retina-A, Renova, Tazorac). Since Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant Concentrate and Skin Balancing Super Antioxidant Mattifying Concentrate contain retinol, is it OK to combine them?
We are not aware of any contraindications surrounding the use of tretinoin and retinol and believe this combination is beneficial to skin. Because this question concerns a prescription drug, we recommend consulting your physician and following his or her advice.
