The Best Sunscreen Ever Made
I have used this product ever since it was released year's ago, and I can't imagine how many bottles I have gone through. This sunscreen is absolutely perfect in every way: it's weightless, non-irritating, easy to apply and has a beautiful, soft matte finish that does not exacerbate oil production or acne (both of which are problems for me). A favorite among all the wonderful products Paula's Choice makes.

TRY IT... you won't regret it!
I have oily / combo skin which breaks out easily. I have tried every single sunscreen on the market (and spent hundreds of dollrs being literally irritated) as I live in a very harsh UV climate (even in winter). All PC's other sunscreens did not work under my makeup, they balled up or made my makeup slide off. I was really in a pickle about finding a matte weightless sunscreen.
I am adding this review to convince you to try it if you have doubs, as I was so unsure about bothering with this product....but I'm so glad I did.
It goes on greasy which worried me, but it dried within minutes to a dry matte finish. I wear it ALL day under full makeup and frankly this product is a dream come true for me. It doesnt burn my eyes like most suncreens do. I apply 3-4 squirts in my palm (just as if it were a serum) and work it into the face until it feels like it is drying up a bit. Perfect.
I hope you never stop making this Paula.
The only problem with this suncreen is that more people don't know about it. It is a dream for makeup.
Also, please stop printing in yellow, it's unreadable.

Convenient and non-greasy
I've been using this for some time and just bought my second bottle. It is super convenient and it does not leave a greasy feel on the skin. I use it during the summer for extra protection when I plan to be outdoors for any length of time. I've even used it on my face without any break-outs on my oily/combo skin.

Simply Wonderful
This is the best sunscreen I have ever used. I also use it on my face, and then apply Healthy Finish powder using a mineral foundation brush. It looks flawless for at least 8 hrs. I am a senior who lives in Florida. My husband has stared using it, too. It does not run into his eyes and adds moisture to his dry skin. Please keep making this product ALWAYS!!

Wear it and forget it
I can put this on, go outside and forget I have it on. This is the first sunscreen that has not eventually gotten into my eyes on a sweaty day. I really appreciate this product. It is desert island good.

Fantastic
This spray on oil dries nicely on the skin, leaves the faintest of oily residues and has caused no reactions on my sensitive combination skin. Family loves it
My family loves this product. It is easy to apply, effective, and dries almost instantly. It used to be an ordeal getting my kids ready to go outside in the summer and they would be crabby because after standing there (for what felt like hours, I'm sure) while we applied a thick lotion all over them, they were all sticky and goopy and their white t-shirts would turn orange. Now we just spray, rub, and go. Unfortunately I have a contact allergy to benzophenone, so I can't use this (and I can't hug my kids when they do), but hey--whatever it takes to get them to put sunscreen on before going outside. I had skin cancer at 39, but my kids won't.

This spray is the best sunscreen product I have ever used. I now look forward to putting on sunscreen. It truly is weightless and makes my skin look great! It is so easy to use; I put a few sprays on my hands and liberally apply it over my face. It's ease of use is so useful when you're outdoors and need to reapply.

AMAZING just a couple things
This is the best sunscreen I have ever used for my sensitive oily-combination skin. It is the only thing that doesn't cause me any irritation besides the PC mineral sunscreen. Just 2 things, PLEASE make a water proof kind and put some grips on the pump, I often hurt my fingers when spraying; they slip off and get jammed. Customer Care Response: Hi Charissa! If you have not tried this yet, i highly recommend you do. This dispenses well, it is not cold since it is a pump and not an aerosol. It absorbs beautifully and without the white sheen. Perfectly unscented.

Best Ever!
I use this every single day, many times. I keep one in my purse, one in my car, one handy by the door...I put this on my hands, arms, feet - anything that's exposed. It dries down to nothing, sometimes I forget whether I put it on or not because I can't feel it! I'm constantly putting this on my hands, but I'm excited to try the new hand cream.

I was using Paula's sunscreen that was packaged in the same way as this one is. I loved it because of it's high SPF rating (can't remember now, but I think is was 50 or 55?), however, it was discontinued a couple of years ago. I especially loved it because no matter what I had on under it, my foundation did not turn into a rolling mess. After a "live chat" with one of Paula's reps, I decided to try this one, and it is fabulous!! Just like the discontinued higher SPF sunscreen, I can have on toner, AHA or BHA, serum, as well as, moisturizer under it, and my foundation goes on smoothly without the dreaded rolling mess. THANK YOU, LIKE YOU CAN'T BELIEVE!!! I really do love this item, and the only thing that could make it better than it already is, is a much higher SPF.

Thanks for making it aloe-free
I was happy to find this because my son is sensitive to aloe, and pretty much every single sunscreen in existence has aloe in it and causes his eczema to flare up -- except for this one. I use this on occasion, even though i don't care much for the feel of it, but i use it all the time on him and it's fast and easy to apply (a must for a toddler), works great, and doesn't irritate his skin. I wish the bottle was less slippery and that it didn't feel as greasy on my face (and i have dry skin) but i'll keep buying it as long as it doesn't have aloe.

Best Sunscreen
What a wonderful product! I have used this all summer on my body and face, and I think I continue using it for the rest of the year. I live in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. There is not much sun here, but because uv-rays come through clouds and windows I use it. The texture is so great and unique. It's not a heavy cream or sticky lotion. I'ts not shiny and not white. It actually makes your face so incredible smooth and soft, you can consider this as a very good primer for foundation. Absolutely great! Very simple nice formula, Just great sunscreen ingredients in a sillicone base with vitamin C, E and Ferulic acid, which have been shown to increase protection and fight free radical damage.

I love this sunscreen
I first purchased this sunscreen because another person said it was the only sunscreen her husband would use. My husband hates the feel of sunscreen and so I purchased this. Not only is it the only one he will use; I also use it and it works beautifully on my skin, which tends toward oily. You cannot feel it after you spray and rub it in, and it is effective. It is not suffocating like so many sunscreens and does not leave a film on your hands or body.

Golf widow loves this stuff & her husband does too
The spray was on sale, so I bought it, hoping that my fair-skinned husband would actually use it when he is out golfing. Not only does he use it, but I have heard him recommending it to his friends (can I get a commission on that?). Some people complain that the spray gets everywhere, but to me, that's the point. I can't tell you how many times he's come home from golfing with the tops of his ears blistering red because he forgot to put sunscreen on them. Now, no more red ears! Paula, hank you for making this product.

This sunscreen is aptly named, because it is truly weightless. I have used many others that work very well, but I could always feel some sort of residue, no matter how light the formula. I love that it's also unscented. I don't love the price, however, and think it's expensive for the size. That's the reason I didn't give it a 5.

So glad I found this!
I'm so glad I found this product! I have fair, sensitive, and sun-sensitive skin, so I need to use sunscreen faithfully. My combination skin makes that tricky. I love and regularly use the Skin Balancing Daily Mattifying Lotion, with SPF 15. But I often want more protection and it becomes a balancing act of getting a high enough SPF without adding too much heavy, greasy lotion. I don't always like products with silicone-based slip agents, since, to me, they feel oily, even if they are oil free. This product has an amazing texture! It slips on easily, due to those slip agents, but in just a minute or so dries to a virtually undetectable, dry feeling layer. Even my dryer areas, such as cheeks can sometimes in hot, humid weather, feel too greasy or sticky w/ heavy sunscreens. This allows for a good 30x sun protection without that heavy feeling. I've been using it on my face, neck, chest, and arms and love the dry, barely-there feeling. No irritation and no shine!

Does what it says
When this item is on sale, it's a great buy. As another reviwer pointed out, I wish the top of the battle had some ridges for traction. When I spray the sunscreen, the top of the bottle gets greasy and my finger slips. Not only is it annoying, but I don't want to break a nail either. It goes on greasy at first but is matte once it sets. Other than that, it's the perfect sunscreen.

Really is weightless!
Scented sunscreens drive me nuts. I get hot and the fragrance increases. Paula's Sunscreen Spray doesn't have an odor even in extreme heat.
Beware though. It really does feel weightless. I thought I sprayed the bottle, but didn't feel anything. Thank heavens I touched my skin after the second spray -- it was wet. Spraying once is plenty.

love it but developed a rash
I love it...it goes on without any residue...it takes a bit to get it dry but then it's great! Goes under eyes nicely without having to rub it in and create lines over time....love it. But for some reason (like with another Paula's sunscreen that I tried that has homosalate) my neck started to itch and became red in some areas after using this one for about a month or two...I don't know why. It works ok under my eyes (the other sunscreen that also has this ingridient made my eyes itch too) but neck itches.....I still love it though.

this is the first sunscreen i haven't hated. it feels so silky and non greasy on my skin, i actually like using it. i also use it on my face, and it acts as a makeup boosting primer as well as a sunscreen. please don't stop making this great product!

I don't get it
I can't figure out this product, particularly how much to apply for facial use. If I put too much it's shiny and weird-feeling; if I put too little I don't feel confident that I'm getting enough protection. I also think it's weird that this product contains a higher percentage of active ingredients than the SPF 45. A lot of people seem to love this sunscreen, but it's not one I'd recommend. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. Sprays can be trickier to apply than lotions because of the "am I really using enough?" question. Generally, you want a thin, even film of the sunscreen and typically you will see a sheen until it sets. AS for the percentage actives, it is not unusual for it to differ between higher and lower SPF ratings, and sometimes the lower SPF product will have a higher percentage of actives than the sunscreen with the higher SPF rating. The final SPF rating has to do with the total formula, not just the actives (although they play a critical role). Please be assured that we have done the FDA-required testing and the SPF rating on both products is accurate. We would be happy to send you some free samples of other sun care options. Ultralight SPF 30 + oily skin = HEAVEN
I have very oily skin, that is normally a greasy mess with spf products (I even tried Paulas Skin Balancing Matte Lotion, but no mas!) The Ultralight 30 spray is perfect for my greasy skin, has no oil in it and doesn't make breakouts worse! I LOVE IT!

Good, but not for oily skin
Sheer? yes indeed. Imperceptible and non-greasy? Definitely not.
It leaves an oily shine on skin that does not go away completely. A very good product, if you have normal or slightly dry skin, but not for oily skin like mine. I may try this sunscreen in winter when my face is is not so oily. Works better for me as a body sunscreen and for my 3 year old son who does not mind a little shine on himself.

OK, but...
I really prefer the Skin Balancing SPF 15. I find this too shiny for my face, and it always runs into my eyes and stings no matter how carefully I apply it. However, I live in the south, in a house that gets a lot of sun, so I feel I need to wear an SPF 30 most days. This stuff is OK, and certainly a great value, but I wish it had a more matte finish and could be dispensed in a tube rather than a spray-bottle. Are there SPF 20 or 30 sunscreens in the works for the Hydralight or Resist lines? Customer Care Response: Thank you for the feedback. Best Summer sunscreen ever!
I've used many sunscreens over the years, and this is the best one ever for summer! It's the only one that feels weightless and grease free (it feels oily at first due to the silicone in it, but it soon dries down) for me. I love this stuff! Don't ever stop making this.

Lightweight texture and convenient application!
I bought 3 bottles of this when it was on sale after reading through all the good reviews. And I don't regret it at all!! The texture is lightweight and non-greasy after you let it set in for a couple minutes, and it is very easy to apply as it just glides over the skin. I love sprays just because they're so convenient and easy to use! The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because it makes my face a bit shiny if I don't wear any makeup over it.

depends on your skin type
After using it for months... It will not give you a matt finish. the texture is like light dry oil. I fine it oily for my very oily skin. Not right for muggy day / summer.

I bought this product when it was on the 50% off section as it had an expiration date of October, 2010. I figured I would use it up before that time. Before it went on sale, it was out of my price range. But my husband refuses to wear sunscreen as he hates the feel of it. He said it is like smearing mayo on his face. I had to find something he could or would use. So at the sale price, it was worth trying. The only problem is that I use it more than he does! It is hot here in VA right now and this product allows my skin to breathe and I don't sweat or feel claustrophobic with a thick layer of sunscreen over my face like a mask. It works great under a powder foundation I use and I could not be happier. I will just have to stock up when it is on sale. A larger quantity would be nice. The price is a bit steep, but it is worth the money.

For those who don't know me and for those who do.... I'm almost 44 years old, look 33 years old and I'm one of the hardest people to please in the world. This product is like my Amex card: I don't leave home without it. I love its matte finish after drying. My whole family uses it, as do my children who are 8 & 11 years old. They too apply it daily before school and carry it in theri backpack so they can reapply during the day. My husband uses it too under his daily moisturizer. We buy it 6 at a time and continue to re-order as we needed. I can't say enough about this product. I've recommended to my friends and they too fell in love with it. One of the keys to my skin not aging is Sunscreen and its proven fact - not one deep wrinkle under my eyes or anywhere on my face. Yes, good genes play role too. Try it - you'll like it!

I agree, this could be improved for sensitive skin, more antioxidants and anti-irritants could be added.
I've been using this for a few years. I have sensitive skin that's getting drier as I get older but I still get acne and blackheads. I don't use this around my eyes - instead, I buy Skinceuticals Physical Defense SPF 30 - expensive but lasts a long time because I only use it around my eyes. I chose to try the Skinceuticals product because Paula gave it a high rating on her Beautypedia site.

Excellent fragrance-free option
This is the one sunscreen we use regularly! Fragrances often tend to end up attracting bugs or irritating our skin. My biggest complaint (as others have too) is the high cost. Seems way out of line to go to the trouble of ordering it again. Also, I wish it were waterproof.

This product does exactly what it claims to do... is completely weightless on your skin! It truly is like wearing nothing at all and there is barely any odor. I just adore this for my body and have no complaints at all. I am not able to use this on my face as it's a little irritating, but that is an issue with me and not the product (I have trouble with ALL products of SPF 30 or higher for some reason). I highly recommend this to anyone!

Not worth it!!!
I was looking for a sunscreen that was easy to use, and that would work with my extremely oily skin. This is not the product I was looking for!! The reviews sounded great so I decided I would give it a try! This was a bad idea!!! If I were to apply makeup over this sunscreen it felt as if I had a layer of grease sitting on top of my skin! This is the BEST sunscreen Ive ever used in my entire life. It's light and spreads so effortless on my face. Once it is on I don't feel it at all. My husband and 3 children love it too. Weightless it is!
This product is wonderfully light (even compared to Paula's other sunscreens for oily/blemish prone skin). It's great for oily skin as it has a serum-like texture yet is hydrating enough for normal/dry skin. Thus, like the label reads it's great for all skin types!

Best sunscreen ever
This is the most amazing sunscreen I've ever used... It doesn't feel greasy, doesn't leave a white cast on the skin, smells great. I always use this on my face and it leaves skin silky. I figured that the best way to apply it is to spray once in a palm with tightly closed fingers first. Then distribute on the face and everywhere needed.
I hope current "out of stock" status doesn't mean you'll discontinue it...

stained clothes
This product has a wonderful, weightless feeling and is very convenient to use because of the liquid formulation/spray packaging. It has, however, stained more than one article of clothing when I have sprayed it on my son's neck. I have a second bottle of it, but have hesitated using it as I don't want to ruin any more clothes.

Perfect sunscreen for the face!
I love how lightweight yet effective this sunscreen is! Very easy to apply, doesn't leave a whitish cast or make my skin feel like it's not breathing. Also, it doesn't get gummy or streaky when I put makeup on top.

I absolutely love this Paula's Choice sunscreen! Every other product out there (and I've tried them all) irritates my son's skin and makes him itch. This spray feels so good on. My kids & I love this product
My kids hate all other sunscreen and ask for me to only put on this product. I am not surprised since it's the only one I like to use daily on my body since it doesn't leave any gross feeling on your skin or white film. It just disappears into my skin. We love it! Would love a higher SPF version but am delighted that it's at least SPF 30.

This product is great. It sprays nicely, it's easy to rub into skin, it doesn't leave your skin feeling oily and it leaves a very, very light natural fragrance on your skin. I agree with some of the others when I say that the only 'bad' thing about it is the cost. It's a small bottle for the amount you pay. However, I see now (after I have purchased it) that it has gone down $4.00.....

My cheeks are dry and my t-zone is normal-combination. My skin feels SO comfortable. Like I'm wearing nothing. I love this in the summer when it gets hot. Best I have ever tried.

Favorite Daily Sunscreen
I love this as my everyday SPF. It works well after my Skin Balancing Cleanser and Toner. My skin feels protected yet not layered. I have also had not one negative reaction!

Spray-on just isn't for me
The sunscreen does a good job but I don't think the spray format is for me. It feels wet going on and sometimes drips from the bottle while applying. After it dries on the skin though you don't notice it at all.

Great for kids too
I've bought other spray sunscreens for myself and my two young boys and they either come out of the bottle as a stream of white mess or they make the kids 'itchy' after they dry. This product does neither and I can actually get the product on them quickly and effectively before we leave the house. Thanks so much for this product.

This is a great product. I have oily skin and am prone to break outs. Many sun blocks encourage breakouts, but this one doesn't cause any adverse effects. It seems a little slick, if not oily at first, but once it drys it feels very soft and protecting. Once I apply make up and a little powder there is no shine at all. I am interesed in the new higer SPF version. I am buying some now to try.

Almost Like Wearing Nothing At All
After years of trying to love the look & feel of mineral sunscreens as much as I love the idea of them, I have given up and couldn't be happier. This spray applies like a dream on my normal/slightly dry skin and is the closest thing to wearing nothing that I have ever found in any formula - with or without minerals. If I didn't need water-resistance for my summer sports, this would be my #1 choice year-round for both face & body. TIP: when applying this indoors, I always spray it into my cupped hand to keep the fine mist off the floor and countertops.

great sunscreen, horrible price
i really like this sunscreen actually. the reason for the low mark is beacause it is terribly expensive for how much product you get. i understand how important sunscreen is and this product was suggested to me to use as a substitute for a moisterizer with spf since i have an oily t-zone. i bought it while it was $7 and that was a terrific price. but for some reason i can't justify spending almost $16 on something liquid that in fact has to be applied so liberally and comes in such a tiny bottle. i will unfortunately have to look elsewhere for another sunscreen until this one goes on sale again.

Perfect sunscreen
Please don't ever stop making Ultra-Light Weightless Finish SPF 30 Sunscreen Spray! I have fair skin and burn very easily; this is a lifesaver when I have to be in the sun. It absorbs completely and doesn't leave a greasy feeling. My daughter and I even use this on our ears when we aren't wearing hats...it gets into all those hard to reach spots and gives excellent protection. Love it!

Best Packaging Yet!
Ardent fan of your skin-care products but been wishing you had a higher SPF rating sunscreen & tinted moisturizer, like Neutrogena's SPF70 & SPF85. & preferably more ophthalmologist-tested sunscreens extending from the current pure mineral, skin recovery sunscreens & sheer matte tint that can be used around the eyes. Nevertheless I'd like to give a thumbs up for the rest of Paula's range!

The best, esp. for families
This is the product that keeps me coming back to Paula's Choice, and I have recommended it many times. Lightweight, very quick to apply, and the perfect sunscreen for squirmy little kids. (Don't spray their face, but everything else can be done instantly with a few spritzes.) We live at altitude and our little boy is very fair--we go through tons of this. I'll second the recommendation to provide this in a bigger refill bottle!

Thank you Paula for this excellent sunscreen. It goes on smooth and dry very fast. Even my daughter with severe eczema sensitive skin can take this suncreen with no problem. I tried so many include expensive sunscreen nothing is good enought compare to yours.

So easy and not slimy!
I'm allergic to the sun and dealing with sunscreen used to be so frustrating and time-consuming for me. I love that I can spray this on and go. I never have to worry it will stink or slime my clothes. I was worried that the spray wouldn't give enough coverage, but I don't get hives when I use it so it must be doing a good job!

Best SPF30 Oily Skin
My face is always perspiring in this 100 degree weather I live in and sunscreen usually makes it worse, but not this one. I also apply to back of hands and it's a lot less messy than creams. Awesome product!

I wanted to love this product. I was looking for a good lightweight sunscreen for my face and unfortunately it caused a wierd breakout/rash on the side of my face after only two days of use. I suspect it is the siloxanes in the product as I had the exact same breakout\rash with Loreal's True Match foundation which also contains high levels of siloxanes. Great product if your not sensitive to the ingredients.

As an fair/oily skinned Westerner living in Thailand your Ultra-Light Weightless Finish SPF 30 Sunscreen Spray is a godsend product. I can now use a serum treatment, a sunscreen, and a Ultra mat finish foundation and the look is lovely, not heavy and doesn't feel layered at all. This product truly is weightless on the skin.

Ultra-Light Weightless Finish SPF 30 Sunscreen Spr
I used Paula's Ultra-Light Weightless Finish SPF 30 Sunscreen Spray for the entire 10 days of our trip to French Polynesia - where the sun was brutal! There were times when I couldn't reapply as often as I should have, but I got only very mild sunburn on the tops of my shoulders. Add to that the fact that it's odorless, dries immediately, is undetectable on your skin...it's the best sunscreen product I've ever used!

weightless finish SPF 30
This product is as awesome as the reviews indicate! I've never used anything like it before and I'm so glad I ordered it in time for my Caribean vacation :) I won't be wasting time rubbing in goopy lotions/sprays. My only worry is that the rest of my travelling companions will want to use it too (and I only have one bottle!)

I would rate this as a "5". It is certainly a great product, residue free lightweight application and comfortable to wear.
The average mark is due to the extremely higher cost of this product compared to most other sunscreen products in the Paula's Choice collection.
It looks like Paula's Choice formulated a product that is darn near PERFECT for very oily blemish-prone complexions, then marketed it in a SMALLER container for a MUCH HIGHER cost.
As Paula B. regularly describes in her publications, liberal application of sunblock is necessary in order to receive protection. Given the smaller quantity and higher prices, I believe some customers will fudge on application in order to economize.

Great for the whole family
Paula, please sell this by the gallon! This is the best sunscreen on the market and my whole family uses it. Not greasy or smelly, quick to apply over squirming kids and doesn't cause my face to break out, I can't say enough about this except you need to sell it in larger quantities! My only wish is that someday you'll make it waterproof...

I've used Paula's excellent skincare products since discovering them four years ago, and I consider them the best I've ever used. The new Ultra-Light Weightless Finish SPF 30 Suncreen Spray is no exception; it's by far the best sunscreen I've ever used. I am very fair with extremely oily, breakout-prone skin, and I could never find a sun product that offered enough protection without feeling greasy and heavy. This spray is light as air and truly does disappear without a trace on my skin! Now I can cover my arms, upper chest and back with sunscreen and I don't even know there's anything there. No breakouts, no greasy mess, nothing! Sun protection and high levels of antioxidants to boot - could it get any better than that? I used to wear long sleeved shirts in summer to protect my arms - those days are gone for good. As amazing as Paula's other skincare products are, she's really hit it out of the park this time!!!

I've been trying your new Ultra-Light Weightless Finish SPF 30 Suncreen Spray for the past 10 days. What a wonderful product! After using Paula's Choice products for years, I have my favorites, but this one now tops the list. I'm a melanoma survivor & have been using sunscreens religiously ever since. But, none of them was truly comfortable on my very oily skin; not even Paula's Choice Essential Non-Greasy SPF 15 Sunscreen. I actually prefer a higher SPF for daily use on my light skin. Although it is impossible to state with certainty that someone will not break out from a sunscreen, the texture and finish of Weightless Finish Sunscreen Spray SPF 30 are very unlikely to cause such problems.
