Additional Information

Why is it different?

RESIST Hyaluronic Acid Booster contains a specialized matrix of skin-smoothing hyaluronic acid, skin-replenishing ceramides, and panthenol that penetrates skin’s surface to help lock in moisture, keeping skin hydrated and ultimately moisturized.

Collapse
What does it do?

Visibly plumps skin, smoothing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles—including fine lines around the eyes. Can be used alone or add a few drops to your favorite moisturizer or serum to see even better results. From first use, you’ll see noticeably smoother, more hydrated, younger-looking skin.

Collapse
How to use

Dispense 2-3 drops into the palm of your hand and then apply to your face. Add a couple more drops if you will also be applying to your neck and chest. During the day, finish with a moisturizer with SPF 30 or greater. Can be applied under the eye area, avoiding the eye itself.

Comments about RESIST Hyaluronic Acid Booster - 0.67 oz:

Received this as a sample in another order. Actually waited months before actually trying the sample but once I tried it I was hooked! It really helps my moisturizer work better and makes my normally dry/combination skin feel super soft and smooth. I think it even helped by rosacea look less red. I had tried Pestle & Mortar Hyaluronic Acid Serum and theirs pales in comparison to Paula's Choice. Love love love!

Comments about RESIST Hyaluronic Acid Booster - 0.67 oz:

Every time I use it I get irritated skin around the eyes and mouth (itchy, with rash). I have no problem with other Hialuronic acid products (Ultralight serum, Earth-sourced toner).
Although I like that the product is not greasy, quite pumping and easier to use than some other PC boosters due to its gel-like texture.

Comments about RESIST Hyaluronic Acid Booster - 0.67 oz:

I love this product, and I'd give it five stars if it weren't for the packaging. A dropper bottle is completely inappropriate for a product with a gel texture. Once I get halfway through the bottle, the dropper doesn't pick up the product anymore. I have to put the product into a different bottle myself so that I can use it, which is completely ridiculous. After all of the complaints PC has received about this problem, I really hope a change is coming in the near future.

Comments about RESIST Hyaluronic Acid Booster - 0.67 oz:

I got this as a sample first and found it pilled slightly after putting on sunscreen. I've found if I mix it with some of my moisturizer (currently the moisture boost moisturizer) then put on my sunscreen/tinted moisturizer it no longer pills. Agree that the texture is a little tacky and "1 drop" is sometimes difficult from the bottle, but overall it still works really well. I have fairly good skin to begin with but am starting to get small wrinkles on my forehead and I feel my skin is more dry than it used to be. I started using this and felt like my forehead looks smoother and my skin just feels more plump/moisturized. I already bought another bottle to keep in my stash for when the first one runs out!

Comments about RESIST Hyaluronic Acid Booster - 0.67 oz:

This is bringing my dehydrated skin back to life. I have dry skin by nature and its sensitive. I was throwing all these anti aging products on trying to fight my age a bit. You get wrapped up in retinol, AHA, BHA. Vitamin C etc. These are all great products if you're skin can handle them and I just didn't clue in to the signs my poor skin was telling me :(( until about 2 weeks ago it hurt and burned so much after I brushed my foundation on and continued to hurt all day at work that I started to read on here about dry and dehydrated skin (I had no clue it was dehydrated)and bam the lightbulb went off. I decided then to cut everything out other than my oil and mositurizer and this little gem. I put it on last thing am and pm with my hands wet and my skin has done a complete turn around. My skin prior to this was unhappy and breaking out, feeling SO tight that I didn't have many wrinkles because it was tight I believe but it was beginning to show little lines on my cheeks and you could see a texture that foundation would just acceuntuate. My skin now is plumped and no zits and it doesn't hurt anymore it is starting to actually look a bit dewy!! WOWEE. I literally have to tell myself not to put anything else on and be patient, let my skin heal and I then will add a few things back in but not everyday for me and my sensitive skin. Great great stuff

Comments about RESIST Hyaluronic Acid Booster - 0.67 oz:

Bought this because I thought it would help alleviate the intense dryness that comes with taking Accutane (oral acne medication) and I did not find if helpful at all. I used it consistently 3-5x/week for almost the last two months of my course of Accutane and honestly didn't notice an improvement in hydration over using my moisturizer alone. I've now been off Accutane for 1 month and continued using the HA booster hoping maybe now that I would see improved hydration but sadly I have not seen any benefit. I've tried applying straight to skin, mixing w/ night cream and I'm sad to say I just honestly have not seen ANY benefit. It also has a slightly tacky finish/gooey finish even when mixed with other products which I'm not a fan out---if it really worked I would absolutely not care. I also feel like the packaging is lacking---there is quite a bit I'm not going to be able to get out of the jar. Given its lack of benefit and suboptimal packaging this was a pass for me and I will not be reordering.

I don't know how to feel about this product, it's okay but it didn't give me a 'wow' factor. When you put it on your skin it's ok, spreads well, sinks in well. But after that... you kinda don't feel the hydration. Which is dissappointing, oh well maybe I got worse batch. I think the price is a bit to high considering the performance that this serum provides. I've used cheaper and better hyaluronic acid serums. I think this one is different because it has some antioxidants/skin replenishing ingredients in it which is always nice, and not so common in hydrating serums.

Comments about RESIST Hyaluronic Acid Booster - 0.67 oz:

While I like the smoothing/plumping effect of the HA, this product causes me to break out in a scaly, eczema-like rash around my eyes and on my neck. At first, I didn't think it was the HA, but when I switched to the lightweight serum, the rash went away - only to return when I started the HA again. The rash is tough to get rid of - argan oil and lots of TLC around my eyes over the course of three days to resolve the issue. I am now using it sparingly, and on its own (not mixing it with an AO serum or oil), because the HA works so well otherwise. Those with sensitive skin - be aware!

I have to agree with other reviewers; the packaging is just absolute nonsense, but I can forgive that because this product is incredible. I have dry skin, and I also use a 2% BHA and a 1% retinol. I had to limit my use of these because they dried out my skin, but since adding the hyaluronic acid booster, I've been able to use my BHA morning and night as well as my retinol nightly, without any dryness or irritation. As time goes on using this product, my skin just seems to be getting better and better at holding moisture.
