After years of being mostly acne free thanks to Aczone for adult hormonal acne/cysts and using PC products exclusively, I have had several breakouts on my cheeks that lasted for weeks. Unfortunately this product was the only thing new in my regimine and I'm going to stop using it. The old version was one of my favorite products.

I waited so patiently for so long for this formula to be released and was chagrined when I saw it contained a chemical sunscreen. I almost didn't even try it because I highly prefer to use a mineral sunscreen. I have been pleasantly surprised with this replacement. I have noticed that with regular use my skin appears brighter and more even toned. Most of the PC lotions and sunscreens have an uncomfortably mattifying feeling. This product goes on with a lovely feel but then absorbs too completely, feeling *almost* too matte for a while, but as the day progresses (strangely) my skin feels more moisturized. The only real detractor is the chemical sunscreen, which you can smell if you generously apply it.

Really burns & irritates my eyes

I was really excited to try this sunscreen and I like everything about it except --- it REALLY stings my eyes. A real let down. After the first time this happened, I was really careful about not applying too much near my eyes, patting it on, letting it fully dry before applying makeup and sometimes that works. However, yesterday, it was so frustrating because it still seeped too close to my eyes and HURT so much that I had to wash my entire face to be rid of it. After this, I decided it's not worth it and I'll use the remaining amount on my neck and chest. I'm very, very happy with the other PC's sunscreens I have which can be used liberally around the eye area with zero irritation.

I'm giving this sunscreen a 3 star rating since all is not at a loss - I do like it - just not for use anywhere near my eyes.

I'm one of the unlucky folks who was devoted to the Resist Cellular Defense SPF moisturizer before Paula's Choice discontinued it. I've been waiting for this new formula all year. I was disappointed when I saw that it doesn't have a mineral sunscreen, but rather a chemical one. Chemical sunscreen tends to irritate my face, so I was hesitant to try it. But I ordered the small travel size thinking, "well, if anybody can make a chemical SPF that won't irritate, it's gonna be Paula's Choice." So I gave it a go, and, yes, the darn stuff stings. Bummer! To be fair, it doesn't sting as badly as other chemical sunscreens I've tried on my face, but there's no way I can wear this on a regular basis.

I use this or the Skin Recovery SPF 30 every single day of my life. I appreciate that this formula now comes in SPF 50, although it seems that the previous version of this in SPF 25 was somewhat more moisturizing, which my dry skin loved. All of them go on non-greasy and are not irritating to eyes. I KNOW that using sunscreen on my face every day is the single most effective thing I do to keep my face young-looking - along with lots of sleep, plenty of water, whole foods, and Paula's gentle, effective products. Now if she could come up with a product to fight gravity!

I bought the travel size as the 2 oz was temporarily out of stock. This moisturizer formula is so much better than original one. It doesn't leave a white cast and gives your skin a nice satin finish. I was impressed. It was definitely worth waiting for the new formula. Can't wait to order the 2 oz once it's back in stock.

Burned my eyes so bad that I had to go back in the house and wash it off after 5 minutes. I was really hoping for a mineral sunscreen to replace the original Resist moisturizer.

Finally!!! I have tried dozens and dozens of sunscreens and they have all made me break out. (Even previous Paula's Choice sunscreens.) Well actually, I tried one Japanese sunscreen that was okay but had quite a bit of alcohol in it so it dried my skin out even more. That was okay for a day at the beach but I never found my daily wear sunscreen until now. When I first put it on, I thought, "oh no, another thick nasty sunscreen" but it sank in quickly and made my skin so soft! Not greasy at all! This actually improves the texture of my skin while giving me that SPF I need every day. Will repurchase forever!

              Wanted to Love It, But....

I really wanted to love this sunblock, but I've noticed it rolls off my skin upon application. I did apply it in the morning the other day and as I was driving I toughed my neck... just to feel the layer of my sunscreen coming off my skin on my fingertips. I admit I have applied PC's toner and serum prior that, but that's what is recommended and it shouldn't have affected the way this sunscreen acts or absorbs, right? There were absolutely no other products present on my skin at that time as I ONLY use PC's creams and serums and nothing else ever touches my face. That's how much I love PC. Won't be repurchasing this sunblock :(

Burns my eyes, does not hydrate skin like old formula AND I broke out. Really, really disappointed! Loved the old formula--my "go to" for fall and winter!
