Love this gentle cleanser
By Linda L
from Azusa, CA
About Me Budget Buyer
Comments about CALM Cleanser for Normal to Dry Skin - 6.7 oz:
I have very sensitive, acne prone and dry skin. I have tried the Resist anti aging and Resist Perfectly Balanced cleanser lines and just needed something in between. So I found this CALM line to be the perfect line for my skin. I wear make up everyday, but I don't rely on this to take away all my make up. I use make up remover on cotton pads and take off all make up first before using this cleanser to clean anything left behind. I love the texture, no scent, gentle and non drying formula. Love the whole CALM line for Normal to Dry skin! Thankyou for creating it.
Service and delivery comments:

Not gentle enough
I'm neither a budget nor brand buyer. I try anything until I find what works for my particular skin challenges. This product mildly irritates my skin (dry, sensitive, rosacea) and leaves a feeling of residue.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

About Me Brand Buyer
I love this cleanser! I needed something that actually cleans but is still gentle. This is it! It takes off my makeup and the loads of sunscreen I wear. Plus its gentle and doesn't leave skin tight. I was also looking for something oil free because although some oils are not supposed to clog your pores, I can't use anything with oil or I break out bad. Just for the record I have sensitive skin but I break out.

Not identical to Moisture Boost
from Sacramento, Ca
This product is not identical to the Moisture Boost formula. I was a regular user of Moisture Boost and had to buy Redness Relief when Moisture Boost was discontinued. During my first use, I noticed that Redness Relief felt a bit more drying on my skin than Moisture Boost. When I compared the Moisture Boost label and the Redness Relief label, I noticed some differences. While the ingredients are the same, they are in a different order, meaning the quantity/concentration is different. Moisture Boost had more emollient and skin soothing ingredients near the top of the list. Moisture Boost has Methyl Gluceth-20 (emollient) as the 3rd ingredient, but it is the 4th ingredient in Redness Relief. Chamomile (skin soothing) is the 6th ingredient in Moisture Boost but is the 7th ingredient in Redness Relief. Now I know that subtle difference in quantity of emollient and skin-soothing agents is why my skin feels a bit drier. Please either bring back Moisture Boost or make the ingredient list truly identical - in concentration - to Moisture Boost.

Excellent cleanser and system
from Cape Coral, FL
About Me Beauty Conscious
My husband has suffered with seborrheic dermatitis for 20 years. He's tried every lotion and cream and seen multiple dermatologists, but nothing has worked more than a few weeks. We tried Paula's Choice calm skin care system and his skin has never looked better. He tells me I 'cured' his skin problem. It used to be raw, red, dry and oily all at the same time. Now his skin looks great. Thanks for a great product Paula and for all the information on your site regarding his condition. This system will gently cleanse, restore balance and moisturize the most sensitive skin.

Leaves my skin feeling dull & dry
from Ashland, OR
About Me Minimalist
I like many Paula's Choice products, love Redness Relief spf 30 mineral moisturizer, and so thought I'd try this cleanser. I used it for about two or so weeks and was not satisfied. It is sticky and kind of drying. I just noticed my skin looking more blotchy and dry. I've gone back to my old brand - more expensive but very soothing on my tempermental skin.
The service is excellent.

New packaging and more expensive now
By Miss the 16 oz size and the old price
from Ontario, CAN
I have been a long time user of this product under its former name, Moisture Boost Cleanser, and I am a fan of the product itself. I used to buy it in the 16 oz flip up container and found that packaging easy to use and never had any problems with it whatsoever. Disappointed to see this rebadged at a higher price, with supposedly superior packaging. Aesthetically, the new design is 'meh' to me, so I am not drawn to the bottle any more than before. Plus, it actually looks harder to use. The old flip up was easy to use one handed in the shower in the morning rush. No cap to lose. Not sure I buy the claim that they were unhappy with the consistency of the previous packaging or that it didn't keep product well. I never had problems in years and years of use and ordering, and I've dropped it on the shower floor, had kids use it, etc. Seemed plenty robust and workable to me. The product is the same, but undeniably more expensive now and not sure it's worth it over those non-irritating basic drugstore brands derms often recommend. I might give it a go one more time, but I'll likely be moving on as it seems PC is moving away from their initial raison d'être, of great products, simple packaging, no marketing, great prices, which I used to be a fan of.

Not for dry skin
from Halifax NS
I decided to try this new line as my skin is dry/ extra dry in the Canadian winter but dry with normal T-zone in the summer. This cleanser dried my skin so badly that it reverted to winter conditions. I had been using the skin balancing cleanser for the summer which is less drying than this cleanser.

does not in my case calm my skin
from new York state
O tried this product morning and night. It caused my skin to sting and break out. I found it sticky, hard to wash off and left a film on my skin. I was simply not impressed. For the cost I have a go to light lotion cleanser for sensitive skin that I can get at the mall that I much prefer. There are many of paulas choice products I do like, but this isn't one of them.

Feels great, doesn't seem to really clean though
from Chesapeake, VA
I am a huge fan of Paula's Choice! I have very sensitive, eczema prone skin. Paula's Choice has never made me break out at all and I love my results. This cleanser does make my skin feel great, doesn't dry it out, it has a nice lather but not crazy. However, I dont think it really cleans it. When I use my toner after I am still getting so much dirt off! I am not sure if that is what I should expect? But most cleansers I dont have that after. I do always get some dirt off with my toner but not like this. I will finish the product but I wont buy it again. I will look for another one.
