ACNE PRONE/OILY SKIN - DON'T USE THE ENTIRE KIT!
from Black Hills, SD
About Me Beauty Conscious
Comments about CALM Kit for Normal to Oily Skin - Full Kit:
I started out using this entire kit, but my oily, acne-prone skin developed cystic acne, white heads, and the oiliness didn't improve. When I realized the toner smelled similar to the Resist Weekly Retexturing Foam 4% BHA I discontinued using it as I'd had previous breakout problems with that product. Almost instantly my complexion started clearing up. Next, because I didn't like the oily feel, and the balling that occurred with the serum I stopped using it. Over the following week my oily skin began normalizing. Now, after 3 months of daily use with the remaining products my skin is clear, and my oily skin has normalized. I still have oily skin, but to a much more moderate degree. My complexion and coloring are so clear that, when not at work, I wear very little make-up!My profession requires me to use airbrush foundation and full make-up, and the cleanser works very well at removing these products. I do double cleanse, but as I have oily skin I've always double cleansed. As for the 1% BHA exfoliant, I absolutely love it! Mysterious little bumps have now disappeared from my skin, my pores appear smaller, and I no longer need to express my pores on an almost daily basis. I may need to do a small amount of expressing in the T-zone once a month. The SPF30 Mineral Moisturizer works wonders for me. It should be noted that one only needs to apply a small amount to get the job done. The product is quite thin and spreads well. The mineral base doesn't activate my overly active oil glands, and helps keep me matte until one quick touch-up is needed around 1 or 2 PM.I find the Redness Relief Moisturizer for evening use just the right balance. It adds more moisture than I would need during the day, but my skin loves it at night. I do apply this heavier than the SPF Mineral Moisturizer due to its thicker consistently, but it applies smoothly.BOTTOM LINE: Save yourself money and breakouts by skipping the toner and serum. Try the other 4 products on their own. They do a wonderful job of clearing pores, eliminating redness, and reducing oil. In fact these 4 products alone do what PC advertises this line to do. The other 2 products are deal breakers in my opinion, and that's why I gave 4 stars.

I use this kit daily. I am unable to use the toner, it really irritated my skin. I use the other four ingredients...using the SPF moisturizer during the day and the other at night. I suffered (under a dermatologist care ) with painful, unbecoming rosacea flare ups, T zone breakouts and incredibly dry, sensitive skin for a long time. Because my dermatologist was bad at this I took matters into my own hands and did some research. This product was recommended by reviews, so I took a shot. I have not had a flare up since I started and my skin feels amazing. Moisturized, and healthy. Finding a kit with anti aging elements that are also not irritating can be a challenge. I highly, highly recommend!

Stick with it
from Vancouver, BC
I bought this set on a whim and when I first used it I was less than impressed and moved onto other things. Not being a wasteful person eventually guilt got the better of me and I pulled it out of my skincare cabinet to use it up and now I am in love with it. I think you have to be consistent with this product and use all the items as prescribed. My skin texture now is much better, less breakouts and no irritation whiteheads anywhere. My only complaint with this product is the smell which is kind of gross and the serum always runs out before everything else. I don't think the quantities of the products are balanced. Other than that they work great.

About Me Minimalist
This kit is best for sensitive and/or combination skin IMO.Cleanser: not drying my skin out, milky texture, but it doesn't make my skin feel clean either. Not too great at removing/ dissolving makeup. The cap needs a new design because there usually more liquid pouring out more than I wanted to use. Toner: smells bad, and it doesn't disappear! BHA exfoliant: it's actually not greasy or drying out my skin. I would probably step up to 2%.Serum and Night time moisturizer (no SPF): not greasy, but doesn't improve skin or pore appearance eitherSPF 30 moisturizer: Perhaps my skin just doesn't like SPF. This is still a bit too greasy for me. I live in north TX and after 4 hrs working, I already feel like my face is oily. but it's still a lot better than other moisturizer sunscreens I've used. It probably works great for someone else. I regretfully had to send this back. It just didn't work for my skin type.

I'm reordering right now!
from West Monroe Louisiana
I have been using in the morning and before bedtime. I had actually looked up the phone number to go have a procedure to eliminate the redness! Reordering now, don't think it can repair broken capillaries but all the redness is gone! Wish I had taken before pictures to show you how fabulous this skin system is! Order now, hope your results are as great as mine have been.

Hits and misses.
from North Carolina
This kit is likely to be disappointing to many with truly oily skin, especially if it's prone to breakouts. It's not that any of the products are bad, it's just that I would strongly disagree that all of them are suited to oily skin. The amazing product in this line -- suited to oily skin -- is the serum. It is fantastic, and I have found that it does decrease redness. The cleanser, however, is too mild, and you may have to wash your face twice to just remove a basic sunscreen. My least favorite product in this line is easily the sunscreen -- which feels very heavy, leaves a greasy film and a ghost-like white cast (I really really dislike it). I did not find that the 1% BHA in this line was powerful enough to control blemishes, either, even though I quite liked its texture and aesthetics. I think oily and sensitive skinned types would be better served by mixing and matching products. The Resist Ultra Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 is far more appropriate, and it also contains far more bells and whistles. The 2% BHA from the CLEAR line is ultra gentle and far more effective than this. But definitely try this very amazing serum.

The best products available for sensitive red skin
from Lehigh VAlley PA
I used the whole line as directed, and these products do what they say. I have never had such results with any other product. I cannot say enough about this line.

Favorite PC Line EVER!
from San Jose, CA
About Me Beauty Expert
I've written individual reviews on all these products because I am so impressed with each of them. I've been using PC products exclusively for several years now (before PC my skin was an irritated, breakout prone, red, oily mess) and thought my skin was as good as it was ever going to get. Wrong! After one week of using the complete Calm for Oily Skin line my skin is looking (and feeling) a whole new level of amazing. Every single product in this line is a slam dunk. I also use the 4% BHA Foam 2x/week, and the 1% Retinol Booster at night, and altogether this is now my perfect skincare routine.

Where have you been all my life?
By Kel Kel
from York, PA
I just got my kit yesterday. Used it last night and this morning and I'm really impressed at how well it absorbed so quickly compared to the other products I've used from PC. When I woke up this morning, I actually didn't look like an oil machine. I've used several other PC products before and I've never come this close to being "oil free". My face has a little redness to it but mostly uneven regarding face to neck tone. My neck is a lot more on the fairer side. I don't really have any sensitivity issues either. I would hope that that wouldn't be a reason for me not to be able to use these products. Since I've had such a positive result after 1 day, I can't wait to see how well it does with further use. Thank you!!

Not for blemish prone skin
from Chicago, IL
I had high hopes when purchasing this kit a couple of weeks ago. I have very sensitive, very oily skin (super oily an hour after washing) prone to blemishes, and large pores. I am also 44 years old so I'm concerned about wrinkles too and have started getting some sebaceous hyperplasia in the past few years. I had been using the Resist line for oily skin, along with the Clear cleanser, and though that combination of products kept many blemishes at bay, I had flaky, oily, and ruddy skin. So I decided to try this line since there was an option for oily skin. This is not a good line for anyone with super oily skin, large pores, or blemishes. My skin is definitely less flaky, but still has a lot of redness and now a lot of pimples. The daytime moisturizer is awful...super greasy and tacky texture. The serum balls up when you apply makeup over it. To get your face really clean with the cleanser, you need to wash your face twice. I think the exfoliant is ok, I'm convinced that changing the 2% Resist BHA to a 1% one probably helped wi the flakiness. But I didn't need a whole kit of useless products to get that result. All in all, I'm really disappointed. This was a big waste of money for me.
