Not a stand out product
About Me Beauty Conscious
Comments about CALM Moisturizer for Normal to Dry Skin - 2 oz:
This is a nice formula but didn't make any change to the condition of my skin. I am fair skinned with redness (not rosacia) across my nose, cheeks, decoulage and chin. I was hoping for reduced redness but really the product in my experience is no different to any standard moisturiser. I agree with whith another comment made you seem to use a lot and my skin feels dry a few hours later without the use of makeup. I won't buy this product again.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Bring back Moisture "Boost Cream", please!
from Calgary, AB / Canada
About Me Beauty Expert, Skin Care Professional
This cream replaced the old " Moisture Boost " cream and is supposed to have virtually the same formula but with " improvements", I was told on the phone... Far from it, I'm afraid!Although this cream has a silky feel and applies nicely, it is NOT moisturizing enough for DRY skin (the way the Moisture Boost cream was)! What a shame!Anyone with normal/combination skin will be happy with this formula but it is unfortunate that it is called a "replacement" for Moisture Boost, which it is not.Sure, there is also the "Skin Recovery" cream, but this formula is more suitable for very dry skin, versus for skin types that are somewhere in the middle.PLEASE, Paula, bring "Moisture Boost" back or we might have to look elsewhere.

I truly love this moisturizer. I loved the Moisture Boost line before it, and this moisturizer is even better! It smoothes on evenly, and it absorbs very quickly. I use this with The Ordinary's Rose Hip Oil, and it is the perfect combo for dry, winter skin! My skin has never felt so moisturized! Obsessed! If you loved moisture boost, this will probably be just as or moreso satisfying.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I also really miss the purple moisture boost... that stuff was amazing! I've been a Paula's Choice customer for many many years. This is only OK, but my skin is missing that extra moisture. I don't know if this is related to the switch, but the skin on the side of my face is more red. I'm going to try something else! Let me know if you revise the formula.

I MISS MOISTURE BOOST!!!
I've been using Calm, trying to wean myself off of the now discontinued Moisture Boost, and I'm incredibly disappointed.I have very dry, very sensitive skin. Moisture Boost has been my HG moisturizer for years. PLEASE BRING IT BACK. Calm is simply not effective. It takes twice as much product to make my face feel moisturized and it feels dry and tight within a few hours. This is going to get really expensive! I'm not sure what I'm going to do when it gets colder and my skin gets even more dry.

Bring Moisture Boost Back!
from Irvine, CA
About Me Beauty Expert
I've used Moisture Boost for as long as I've been using PC products. I was upset to learn PC has discontinued Moisture Boost. It's the equivalent of Pond's Cream being discontinued for many. Moisture Boost is a PC staple. I tried this new version- it's okay. I still want Moisture Boost back! I've read through the recent reviews and I see many others feel the same way. I hope Paula will see this and listen to her customers and bring Moisture Boost back.
Why oh why?
from Brooklyn, NY
Why did you get rid of Moisture Boost? I loved that moisturizer and used it for years. This new one turned my face and neck bright red and it felt like I was burning even when I only splashed water on my face. I still have a tube of my beloved Moisture Boost and went back to that and my skin has returned to normal. Please bring it back! Or sell both of them, I don't care, I just want my Moisture Boost!

I also have used PC products for many years and have never been disappointed until now. I used the Calm Moisturizer for Dry skin and while initially pleased with how the product felt upon application, my face turned bright red after a day's use and then peeled. I think the problem for me is the inclusion of hydrolyzed wheat protein. I am allergic to (not intolerant of ) wheat. I think I would like this product minus this ingredient.

I miss moisture boost too
About Me Minimalist
While Calm is the new Moisture Boost, I miss the old version as do others posting here. This packaging is very pretty, and I like it because the silver appearance makes me feel I have purchased something extravagant, but in reality, I miss the slight glow or sheen Moisture Boost provided my skin. I am not sure this is reducing redness for me, but it is an adequate moisturizer. I have tried it as both a nighttime version and daytime version, and in conjunction with Resist Moisturizer, which seems to irritate my skin, but does leave the sheen I appreciate under my makeup. Calm is an ok product, but now that all the PC products are making claims similar to those in drugstores and department stores, its a trial and error to find the one that really is best. This one is adequate, but I can't say I find anything remarkable about it. Its average.

Not a replacement for Moisture Boost!
from Ann Arbor, MI
I've been using Moisture Boost for years and purchased this as it was billed as the replacement for it. This moisturizer does not compare to Moisture Boost; it is nowhere near its equal in hydrating. It was sufficient for a lighter summertime use, but will in no way be adequate enough for the rest of the year. I did not have a problem with burning, or any other irritation. I'll be working through my Moisture Boost stash and then moving on.
