About Me Minimalist
Comments about CALM SPF 30 Moisturizer for Normal to Dry Skin - 2 oz:
This is the best mineral sunscreen on the market. I feel qualified to say so because I have tried so many. I can't use chemical, unfortunately, because they all sting my eyes (I've tried every variety). I also have dry skin. Everything else I've tried is either too white or too drying or both. This is perfect. If you're oily skinned this may not work for you but otherwise, you will be happy with this.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I love this product and use it all the time in the summer - but in the cold winters it is drying and therefore ageing and so I think it should be for normal skin - not normal to dry. Zinc is a really drying product for me. In years past I switch to the Resist SPF25 in the winter because it only had titanium dioxide in it and it worked great as a daily moisturisig spf product for me in the winter but that has been discontinued so I have tried this product again but it really is drying in the cold winters. I hope a moisturising mineral spf product will become availablel on PC soon ... it is hard to find one.
My new go to sunscreen
This has become my new Sunscreen. Ive tried numerous sunscreens and not really been totally happy with any until I found this. It doesn't irritate my face, and it does moisturize my face.Glad I gave it a try, very happy with it.

Needs More Oomph!

I totally agree with previous comments about this product not being suitable for dry skin. I need to augment this with Resist's Moisture Renewal Oil Booster in order to get the comfort level needed.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Irritating for my sensitive skin
from Ottawa, ON
About Me Beauty Conscious, Minimalist
I was hoping for a great moisturizer but it's not the best for me. It's not moisturizing for me and stings on application, especially in my sensitive areas which is the lower half of the face, below the nose. I've learned by now that when it stings, later my skin will get red and peel. It was one of the first products from the PC line I tried. I ended up relying on Resist serum (which is amazing! 5 stars) and another non-irritation moisturizer for sensitive eczema/rosacea skin (a different line from PC and scored high on beautipedia), which unfortunately doesn't have sunscreen in it. So I still apply CALM (but very lightly) after the other products, so it is more diluted, just to get the sunscreen benefits. I may do better with skin recovery moisturizer but this time will try a sample first.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was prompt and very convenient.
Chalky and ruins makeup application
from Papillion, NE
About Me Beauty Expert, Skin Care Professional
I really wanted to like this and do love select PC products. However, I have a list of cons and unfortunately discontinue using this product. I bought in the kit so I don't think I'll even be able to return it (I have not reached out to customer service).- Hard to rub in. It feels thick and like I'm really pulling my skin in order to get the white cast to go away. This makes my face beet red. - Chalky. If you have dry patches, this will dry them out more.- Looks HORRIBLE under makeup. It's streaky and will make your makeup streaky to the point where you can't even blend. I've had this problem before with physical sunscreen.
I have finally found my perfect skin care line
By Linda L
from Azusa, CA
I am so happy I finally found the perfect skin care line for my complicated skin problems. My skin has always been very dry, but very acne prone and sensitive. I have tried Moisture Boost, but that is too heavy for me. I tried the Resist anti aging dark blue, and that caused break out because apparently my skin doesn't like the retinol in it (I'm guessing). I am so glad I gave this Calm line a try. My skin has never looked and felt better. Thankyou for creating this Calm line!
no complaint here. fast shipping, great packaging.

Outstanding! Small tube is wasteful to apply liberally.
This is one of the only sunscreens that doesn't sting, feel chalky, or make me break out. I can put it on my volatile chin worry-free. I just lament how little product you get for the money. When I first became a Paula's Choice customer in 2005, the daily sunscreens were triple the size (yes, 6 oz.!) so you really could apply liberally. Even if money was no object, going through more plastic tubes means throwing out more plastic tubes.
Made my skin red!
from Columbia, SC
I tried this because the Resist product has been discontinued. What a mistake. I have very dry sensitive skin. This was not moisturizing and by mid afternoon my face was tight and beet red. I literally had to wash my face in the middle of the day to get if off of my skin. A day later, my skin still feels burned. I will stick to the Skin Recovery until the Resist product is back. Hope it comes back soon.
This Stuff is Great!

This sunscreen works great for me. It absorbs after a few minutes but is still moisturizing throughout the day and leaves the prettiest, softest finish on my skin. Not white at all, just a nice soft glow. I love that it has an SPF of 30. I feel confident that my skin is protected. I use it every morning after cleansing and toning. I wait a few minutes for it to soak into my skin and then apply my makeup which goes on so smoothly. Helps with redness on my sensitive skin. Love it!
