About Me Minimalist
Comments about CALM Toner for Normal to Oily Skin - 4 oz:
This is very similar to the former Clinical Redness reducing product, so much so that I had to read the ingredient list to see if it was the same product. This one may be slightly more lightweight (a positive for anyone with oily areas). I never use a cotton ball to apply toner---I think it wastes product and the cotton always gets stuck in my facial hair stubble (unless I've just shaved). So, I tend to pour in my hand and splash on face, which means I probably get a bit more product on my face than if I swiped with a cotton ball. With this product, I splash on my face and it produces a sudsy like film as if it has a cleansing ingredient in it. Since I don't wear make up and I already use an effective cleanser, I don't need my toner to cleanse my skin---I want my toner to calm and hydrate. And while this product does calm and hydrate, it's calming comes nowhere near that of the Calm Serum and Calm BHA. My last complaint is that the color of this product is very dark. Perhaps it's my imagination but it seems to leave my skin with a orangey bad fake tan appearance. In a world full of horrible toners, I feel a bit bad for being so critical of a toner that doesn't have irritating ingredients. But PC has set the bar very high with other toners and this one doesn't do it for me. If your oily skin can handle the extra bump of moisture, I'd still recommend the Earth Sourced toner as PC's best toner option for irritated and reddened skin.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Turned orange after a few months
from East Bay, California
About Me Beauty Expert
After a week or two I started to notice an orange film inside the cap, so I wiped it off and everything was fine. I should have known. After only a few months of using this product, the liquid had an orange tint to it and upon applying it my akin felt like it was burning. I will not repurchase.
Didn't work for me
About Me Beauty Conscious
I bought this hoping it would help the redness around my nose. I've used it for about 1 month now and haven't noticed any change. It also has a slight unpleasant smell. It broke me up on my chin too.

Good, but my least favorite of the Calm Collection
from New Orleans, LA
I'm absolutely in love with the Calm Collection. I finally have my Goldilocks line after buying from Paula's Choice for years. That being said, this is my least favorite of the Calm Collection for Normal to Oily skin. If I had to cut one product out to save money, this would be it. I did, however, try a few samples of the Calm Toner for DRY skin. That one is amazing and makes my skin feel so smooth and my skin looked and felt so much better immediately after applying. Even though I prefer the Oily skin version of the moisturizer, cleanser and sunscreen, I MUCH prefer the toner for the Dry skin version. I will be switching to that version once I run out of this one. Too bad I bought awhole bottle instead of a sample. But on the plus side, it doesn't irritate my skin. That's no easy feat considering how insanely sensitive my acne, rosacea affected skin is. And I'd still take this any day out of any other brand on the market. That's why I'm still clicking on "yes I would recommend this for a friend" even though it pales in comparison to the other Calm toner.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Not my favorite product
from Olathe, KS
I have between six and ten of Paula's Choice products, all of them used regularly, and all of them great products. This is the first item I've had from Paula's Choice that I dislike.First, it feels very greasy on my skin and changes the texture (not in a good way). It also does not smell great. Worst of all, it doesn't work! After applying the toner, my face looks redder than it did before I used it.

Wanted it to work
By GF in OC

Really wanted this product to work. Gave it several goes as each time I used it I got cyst like acne (which isn't the norm for me). When I stopped, they would gradually go away, when I started they'd come back after a few days.

BEWARE! Not for Oily/Acne-Prone Skin
from Black Hills, SD
After using the entire Calm skin care line for about a month it was apparent something was causing cystic acne break-outs. When I realized the smell of this toner was similar to the Resist Weekly Texturizing Foaming Treatment 4% BHA I suspected it was the culprit. Sure enough, within a week of stopping this toning step my skin improved dramatically, and now 3 weeks out no more acne! My cystic acne only flares up when I use an offending product, otherwise, my skin is clear. How PC can market this as non-irritating is beyond me. The rest of the Calm skin care line works beautifully for me, but if you're experiencing acne and white head breakouts remove your PC toner from the mix and see if that helps. I had this same experience with the Resist, Skin Balancing & Clear lines. PC may want to reformulate her toners, or come up with one that is truly for acne-prone skin.

About Me Skin Care Professional
I use this toner daily in am and pm. I use RX trentinoin in PM and RX glycolic acid serum with l-ascorbic acid during the day. (Followed by SPF 30) My skincare regimen is aggressive and I have tried everything from every line!!! I mean EVERYTHING! I spare no expense when it comes to my skin and I am very appreciative of my successful career which allows me to splurge but hands down this Toner is superb! I ordered 3 bottles after using the first bottle for 3 days. For the love of God please don't discontinue this or change anything! I will have no choice but to seek custom compounding from my local pharmacy! In fact, in the event that you do decide to discontinue this product, I will purchase any remaining stock you have!

Excellent after a chemical peel
About Me Brand Buyer
I had my first glycolic peel in a doctor's office yesterday. My face was (and still is) very sensitive. Sunscreen, moisturizers, and even water left me stinging. This toner is the only thing I've used that did not sting the sensitive areas. I still had a sample of the serum, and also no stinging. It also mad a difference in the redness that was left behind. I will make sure I have both products in stock before my next treatment.

Decent basic toner, but didn't reduce redness
from Bay Area, CA
I use this as my daily toner and it makes me feel clean and fresh, and always gets off the little bit of makeup that I thought I washed off with my cleanser. I'm a big Paula's Choice fan, but I also know that toners are kind of the "extra" in most skincare routines, and unless they do something extra for you they're the step you can probably afford to drop. So I got this to help cool down the redness on my face, which has always been a huge problem for me. And it just...didn't? I'm not sure whether it only clears up some redness, or if there's something in my skin that just ignores it, but I've never seen redness decrease from this product. Not from acne, not from bug bites/hives, not from anything. And I tried it on everything because I *love* PC's products. But this one was unfortunately a complete dud for me.
