I love Paula's Products - but NOT Calming Line

Comments about CALM Toner for Normal to Oily Skin - 4 oz:
I am a Paula-addict, and have extremely sensitive skin so was eager to try the calming line, but this had the exact opposite effect! This toner actually inflamed my skin and it took several weeks to recover! The skin balancing line is still my favorite and that toner does not irritate my skin at all!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I love this toner! I was using a different toner from Paula as well but I tried this and love it way more! I need something that cleans my skin and doesn't cause me to breakout while still making sure my skin doesn't get dry, red, and irritated. This is amazing! My skin felt clean but not tight and so calm, not irritating at all. I love this toner! I also needed something oil free since anything with oil (even if its non comogenic) still breaks me out bad.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Please bring back Hydralight Toner!!
I used to use the Hydralight Toner, but had to switch to this one as a result of the Hydralight line being discontinued. First off, in my opinion, the CALM line (Normal to Oily) has failed. I believe the products in that line did the opposite of soothing red, sensitive skin and made matters worse. This toner was awful to say the least. However, the Hydralight line was absolutely brilliant. The Hydralight toner was my all time favorite toner because of its simplicity and effectiveness. It worked wonders. I see that Paula's Choice has brought back the Hydralight cleanser and SPF. It would be beyond amazing if they could bring back just one more product from that line: the toner! I would be one happy and grateful customer!

foamy, not soothing

I found this toner to have a strange foamy texture, which I do not like. And huge minus is no calming effect, please improve the formula!!!

This Calm 'Redness Relief' toner caused 'redness'. I used this before and it was okay. I hadn't used it in a while and when I bought a new bottle restarted using it I got stinging and visible patchy redness. It also doesn't smell good and has an odd yellowish color, so it is lacking cosmetic elegance. It was another PC return.

Please bring back Hydralight toner
from Lafayette, IN
The toner just wasn't hydrating at all. I have oily acne prone skin that easily gets dehydrated but this product really did nothing for me but left me tight skinned and irritated. Even though the product is very light it still caused some breakouts. Hydralight toner was light but packed a hydrating punch. Do keep in mind this toner only has ONE humectant so if dehydrated skin is an issue look else where. Personally this whole calm line has been a bust for me which is sad because I really wanted to like it.

Definitely not my favourite
About Me Budget Buyer
This is probably the one Paula's Choice product I would toss out if I could afford to do so.I use the complete Calm line for combination skin and this toner the step in my routine that I really don't like. I keep using it in the hopes it will magically surprise me but.....I've tried applying it using a cotton ball and my bare hands but it seems to make no difference.Doesn't make my skin drier or oiler but seems to leave a whitish, foamy residue. I let it dry but it remains sticky and seems to make my cheeks even redder than before.

About Me Minimalist
My first PC product was the CLEAR line sample. I found that was drying me out too much so I mixed and matched some other products, switching in for the CALM toner. While it did not dry my skin it did cause cystic acne on my cheeks and chin where it was not a problem before. I thought it was the exfoliator I was using so I started just using toner after washing my face. That did not stop the acne problem so I switched back to the exfoliator and went off this toner and my skin is getting better but now I have to get rid of the dark spots caused by the acne that was forming. Also this product smells so gross. If it worked I could have dealt with the smell but it doesn't so looks like I wasted my money.
Unfortunately, just made me break out

About Me Beauty Conscious
I previously was using the Hydralight toner which worked great; however, since I switched to this toner, all I get are awful break-outs on my forehead and chin, and the redness lasts forever. It's extremely unfortunate as I love all my other Paula's products. I'm switching back to the Skin Balancing Toner, I suppose. Nonetheless, since I stopped using this, my skin has stopped breaking out, so hooray! Thanks to the other Paula's products.
