My new summer skin care regimen
By Pat from CT
from Groton, CT
About Me Beauty Conscious
After two months of protracted heat waves and high humidity, I realized my lower T-zone and inner cheeks were a mass of red bumps and disgusting blackheads. Mind you, these go very well with my fine lines, wrinkles and easily reddened sensitive skin - NOT! :-/ In desperation I used some products from the drugstore from the "rip out blackheads" brand and all that did was cause my poor face to rebel by turning red, blotchy and to produce even more oil in the T-zone.Then I did what I should have done - researched products at Paula's Choice. My usual routine involves the Resist line for dry skin with AHA, but the breakouts and blackheads had to go. I ordered samples of this cleanser and of the companion CLEAR regular strength anti-redness exfoliating solution with 2% salicylic acid. After the *first time* using both products the swelling, redness and stinging in my face went down. The red bumps began diminishing, but the stubborn blackheads still hung around. A PC representative recommended I add the Resist Daily Pore Refining Treatment 2% BHA. I'm using the cleanser twice daily, the pore refining BHA in the AM and the CLEAR salicyclic lotion in the PM, followed by serum and moisturizer. With every use of these products things are on the upswing. Thank you, Paula!

Burned and Irritated My Skin
from Las Vegas, NV
About Me Minimalist
I have tried several acne cleansers since I was a teenager. None of these cleansers have ever irritated or burned my skin. The Clear Pore Normalizing Cleanser has been the first acne-specific cleanser I have ever used that has burned my skin. I am thankful that I had the PC moisturizer and serum samples on hand as they helped to repair my skin within a matter of days. I have tried samples of all the PC cleansers and my favorite so far has been the Resist foaming cleanser. I suggest using that cleanser instead as it repairs your skin, makes it look great, and does not have any ingredients that could irritate your skin.

LOVE; Been using this product for 4 years! BUT...
from Toronto, ON
I have everything about this product BUT.. the cap is so terrible. I can't live without this cleanser and I hate every time that I travel the bottle will leak out!
After having my son, my skin was out of control with blackheads and blemishes. This Clear Acne Cleanser was the only product I found (after tons of research) that improved my skin drastically. I have now been using this product for nearly a year and I enjoy smoother, clearer skin.

Effective but drying
About Me Skin Care Professional
I use the product once or twice a day. I do believe it's helping keep breakouts under control. I have good skin but now I'm in my upper 20s and get hormonal breakouts or random blemishes. My skin is dry combination and this cleanser really dries me out and sometimes stings but I'm going to keep trying to see if it keeps breakouts away. My friend with oily skin loves this cleanser but if you are not oily it may dry you out. Love this company.
If you breakout, this is a must have!

Another Paula's product I never want to live without. I use to breakout a lot, not so much now that this is my new best friend. It never dries out my skin and never makes it feel tight. I have one by my sink and one in the shower.

Made skin burn
This cleanser made my sensitive skin very irritated. I woke up to a red, tight face. I'm looking for a good cleanser for sensitive, acne prone skin - but this isn't the one for me unfortunately.

Gave me a severe allergic reaction
from New Brunswick, NJ
This gave me a HORRIBLE allergic reaction! It made my skin so red and dry that it stung 24/7 unless I put vaseline on it. I already have very dry skin, and although this did keep my acne under control it still gave me that awful reaction. My skin has never reacted this badly to any product. Maybe it's just my skin being way too sensitive, but please be wary of this cleanser is you have sensitive skin!
Great and excellent price!!

Great cleanser. I've tried Clinique and Estee Lauder and feel they have much alcohol. Did not over dry my skin and left it feeling super clean. I did see a bit of difference in regards to pores. Would definitely recommend, worth a try!
