Excellent Cleanser for Ance Prone Skin
About Me Budget Buyer
Comments about CLEAR Acne Cleanser - 6 oz:
I have hormonal, cystic acne. I love this cleanser because it so gentle with sensitive skin but also removes all the excess oil, makeup, and dirt from my skin.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Where did the normal size bottle go?
why did they discontinue the normal sized bottle? but yes, i like this stuff a lot. seems to decrease breakouts without drying my skin.

Gentle enough for dry skin
from Vancouver, Canada
My dry skin is finicky with cleansers. It lets me know when it finds a cleanser too drying (hello, flaky, scaly skin). Which is why foaming cleansers are a no-no. But I am paranoid about making sure my skin is clean because I'm prone to blackheads and I have large pores so I don't want it so gentle that it renders it ineffective. I have used one bottle already, everyday, morning and night, and it has never dried out my dry skin plus it's a good cleanser! Win-win! I have bought two more bottles. My only complaint is I wish it came with a pump! I often squeeze too much. The squeeze mechanism is annoying especially toward the end.

I love this! I just wish it came in a bigger format. The bottle is really small.

I ordered this cleanser for my pre-teen daughter and I to test and share. For me, it was a bit drying. I think in the summer time I'd love it. But middle of winter? A bit too harsh for me. My 11 year old daughter is starting to struggle with blackheads and zits and it has worked to make her face more clear in the week she's been using it. I have relinquished it to her at this point--it's a better fit for her oily skin vs my combination/older skin in the winter.
Cleared my adult acne

I never really believed that a cleanser could make a difference to my skin. I added this in to my normal skincare routine (which already included CLEAR solution with 2% salicylic acid) and my skin has never been better! It was a bit drying at first but with continuous use and a good moisturizer, I haven't had any trouble after the first few uses. Highly recommended

Doesn't work for me
By Susan R.

I am very disappointed. This is the only Paula's Choice product that just hasn't worked for me. I have oily, acne-prone skin and thought I'd give this cleanser a try. Within 4 days, my skin got so dry that it began flaking and feeling very tight immediately after washing. It cleaned very well but I had to end up applying moisturizer right away to get relief from the dryness. I should have tried the samples for a few days before ordering this product. I'll stick with the Hydralight.

I've been using this for 2 years, and it has really helped get my breakouts under control. It can be a little drying initially, but I found that went away after continued use. It's the best thing I've tried outside of a prescription, and I've recommended it to everyone still dealing with acne after their teenage years.
Really greta product, does not dry the skin yet gives a really clean feeling.

I have been using this for two weeks now and it has helped my skin so much. I work out daily and my skin was taking a hit from the sweat. I even use a clarisonic and my skin was still breaking out. I decided to try this out and my skin is back to normal. Plus, you only need a small amount because it lathers so well! I have combo skin and this didn't dry my skin out and didn't burn.
