    Best cleanser I've ever used!
    • Removes all my makeup, rinses clean, leaves skin soft and supple! The Skin Recovery cleanser is great too. The main reason I went with this one is that it works into a rich, creamy lather that I love! It's also so reasonably priced - the 16 oz size is an incredible bargain, especially considering you don't need much of this to get the job done!

Lightweight, non-drying, and gets the job done.
    • I previously used the cleansers from the CLEAR and Skin Recovery line, with this being my favorite. It's a light (semi-runny) texture, but you need a very small amount to work with. It removes any leftover makeup without scrubbing, and my face feels so smooth and hydrated after drying. There is definitely no "tight" feeling, just clean! This along with the cream from this line is my new favorite products that I will definitely repurchase in the future. They do not disappoint!

    My HG cleanser! :D
    • I tried ALL of Paula's Choice cleansers and this is my favorite!!! I have slightly oily, blemish prone skin (mild acne) that has a dehydrated surface due to using benzoyl peroxide (am and pm). This makes my skin feel fabulous! It removes ALL makeup (I usually have smokey eye's...lots of dark shadows/liner), silky - very soft liquid texture, no foaming action, clean rinsing and my skin has a healthy glow afterwards. Please don't change the formulation! HG status!!!

    Great Cleanser to Gel Alternative
    • I gave this cleanser 5 stars because it truly does work on normal, normal to dry and even combination skin. its very light milky texture rinses very easily and never feels heavy. The ONLY thing I miss is the pump. I know many did not approve because of malfunction but honestly a pump is so much easier with the bigger size. The big size IS big and it is just not convenient. OR perhaps Paula could sell the small size as a 2 pack value. not sure.....But product wise it is great

    Simply the best
    • I've used nearly every single PC cleanser available with the exception of Skin Recovery Cleanser (my skin is not that dry) and, IMHO, Moisture Boost is the best of the bunch. Its light and creamy formulation hits the mark of providing a perfect balance of moisturizing cleansing agents leaving your skin clean and soft without a hint of dryness. It feels wonderful on the skin and rinses easily with no residue. Well done!

    THE BEST!!
    • Feels like liquid silk and leaves my skin feeling soft, moisturized, and never tight. Love that it has no scent and it easily removes ALL makeup. Couldn't be more pleased with this cleanser. Have been using now for over three years. Paula's products are the best. Please don't change this formulation.

    Not sold on this one
    • I have noticed a tight feeling when I use this product . I am also experiencing dry and flaky skin on my face the following morning. I am going back to skin recovery for dry skin cleanser. Disappointed that this didn't give me the moisture I need.

    A Litt Drying
    • I have tried all four of the standard PC cleansers and sadly this is my least favourite of the bunch. I have skin that can become dried out by products easily and can be congested by products easily, so there is a fine line to balance. I found that this cleanser didn't quite remove all of my makeup and was surprisingly drying! I actually found the Hydralight to be less drying than this one. On the upside though, it has been great to use as a shaving lotion on my legs while I use up the rest!

    Favorite cleanser, ever!
    • This is hands down the best cleanser I've ever used. Gentle, but with enough oomph to get off most makeup. I keep a giant bottle of it in the shower, and even my husband (who has very sensitive rosacea-prone skin) uses it. I will use a stronger cleanser if I've been sweating, or have worn very heavy makeup, but overall, definitely a must have for people with sensitive skin!

Best cleanser I have ever used.
    • Perfect with the clarisonic. Gentle, milky and slightly lathering. The huge bottle is a terrific deal. 110% In love with this cleanser (and pretty much everything else from Paula's Choice).

    Love product but not container
    • Moisture Boost cleanser is absolutely the best. I used Clinique Liquid Soap for years but PC if far better. My only complaint is the container, at least for me. I have a difficult time getting cleanser out. I do not good strength in my hands so this maybe the problem. Would really like to see it offered in a more flexible container for easy dispensing.

    Thorough but not drying
    • This is a great cleanser! It removes makeup and sunscreen completely, without making my skin feel dry, tight, or irritated. I originally got the Skin Recovery cleanser, which I still use in the morning, but I prefer the Moisture Boost cleanser for evenings because it seems to clean more thoroughly.

Love it. Less expensive & equal to Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser
    • I was very happy using Keihl's Ultra Facial Cleanser, but I wanted find an equally superior product for less money. Keihl's cleanser costs $19.50 for .5 oz. I was thrilled to find Paula's website. I'm very happy with Moisture Boost for all the reasons explained by previous reviewers. The only negative is the design of the bottle cap. The top of the container spills the cleanser from all sides of the rim. And since the bottle is opaque, I can see the mess on the inside of the bottle cap.

    Silky, moisturizing, non irritating
    • Love this. Very silky and moisturizing. Going back to it after trying Skin Recovery cleanser (which is also great). I like the Moisture Boost's silky/slippery feel. Especially good with my gentle brush on my Clarisonic.

    Not so much...
    • Thought I'd try a cleanser for dry skin to use during the winter...this one is technically okay and I love the fact that Paula's cleansers are gentle and can be used on the eyes. However, this formula is so liquidy that it literally falls through my hands before I can get it on my face, and I wind up losing half of it in the sink. Won't buy again due to this, so I'll stick with Paula's Skin Balancing formular, which is hands down the best cleanser I've ever used.

The Best Cleanser I've Ever Tried
    • I have oily (though drier during the winter months), break-out-prone, sensitive skin, and 99% of all cleansers that I've used in my life have left my face dry and tight- a feeling I cannot stand- after use. (And if they didn't, they were too heavy for my skin and left me with pimples.) This is the ONLY cleanser I've used, and I have used many, that does the job of cleansing my skin and removing makeup, yet leaves my face comfortable afterwards. I love it.

    the best
    • My favorite cleanser. I also like Hydralight for when I am oilier, but this cleanser rocks. It foams a little, makes a silky gentle lather, cleans really well and rinses off completely, and does not dry you out or leave a greasy feeling. I don't break out, and I don't get dry. The best.

    Liquid silk
    • I am extremely pleased with the performance and texture of this cleanser, it feels like liquid silk. All that's needed is a few drops to wash away all the daily makeup. Since discovering this little gem, I've purchased the large bottle and I'm certain it will last a long time. I have mature skin, normal/dry and this cleanser leaves my skin feeling not only totally clean, but smooth and soft as well. This is truly a winner!! Please do not ever change the formulation of the cleansers!

    Amazing "neutral" cleanser
    • I tend to wear full face makeup and thought I needed a foaming cleanser to get clean, In fact, before finding this I used a 3-step cleansing process: 1. Remove eye makeup. 2. Use a creamy cleanser (such as the Resist). 3. Use a foaming cleanser. Now, I need only the Moisture Boost cleanser. And you don't need much! Splash a bit of water, apply and gently rub circularly. Follow with a good rinse (usually a washcloth first if I have makeup on). You'll be clean but not tight or dry, or greasy.

So glad I switched to this from the Resist cleanser
    • So glad I switched from the Resist cleanser to this one. Actually gets ALL my make up off when I wash my face. Not a fan of dispenser - I love my pumps because it's so much easier to dispense especially since I got the large bottle which make sit harder to pick up. Going to find an old pump bottle and pour this into it. The lack of pump is why I have it 4 stars...

    Did not work for me.
    • I am a big fan of the Skin Recovery cleanser, but being the skin care junkie I am, I couldn't help but try something new. There were hardly any negative reviews on this cleanser and I thought the grass was greener, big mistake. This cleanser dried me out like crazy and I started breaking out with deep cystic acne. My acne was under control using the Skin Recovery line, but now I'm back to square one. I don't want to pay return shipping so I'm trying to use this up but my skin hates me!

    Love this Cleanser
    • My three year search for a non-sudsing, gentle cleanser that doesn't try my dryish/combination, clog prone skin is over! I love this cleanser because it is 1.) affordable, 2.) non-drying 3.) amazingly doesn't clog my pores 4.) removes all my makeup 5.) smells good even though there is no fragrance. I have tried many products and I just couldn't seem to find anything that wouldn't leave a residue, break me out, or feel too heavy. I love the milky consistency. A wonderful find!

    Perfect for sensitive dry skin
    • My mom (in her early 50s), and I (in my early 20s), both have extra-sensitive and very dry skin. We've tried a slew of cleansers and even samples of Paula's Skin Recovery Cleanser, yet all still left our skin parched. However, the Moisture Boost Cleanser has checked off the 3 requirements I have: a) hydrates skin sufficiently b) doesn't irritate the skin, and c) removes makeup. My mom still gets dry patches after only using the cleanser, but they are noticeably fewer. Great find!

Do I still need to use an eye or face makeup remover?

It depends on how much eye or face makeup you are using or if you are wearing waterproof mascara, waterproof makeup, or other hard-to-remove makeup. If that's the case, we recommend using Paula's Choice Gentle Touch Makeup Remover before or after this cleanser. Otherwise, this cleanser effectively removes most types of makeup.

I have normal to oily skin that gets drier in the winter - would Moisture Boost One Step Face Cleanser be a good seasonal choice?

Yes! It has a lotion-like texture but still rinses and cleans beautifully.
