Dried out my whole skin
from Tel Aviv
Comments about RESIST Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator - 1.7 oz:
Although being a fan of PC, this product absolutely dried out my skin, leaving it red, wrinkled, dried out and almost burned. When putting this as an evening moisterizer it hurts a bit on my skin. I'm very unhappy with this product since i feel it did much more damage than good, especially under my eyes which is the most sensitive area...
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I was surprised that in the morning my skin didn't look shiny as it always does. It felt hydrated and rested but not shiny. It was my first experience waking up with skin like that after applying moisturizer the night before... and i like it a lot. I will definitely continue using this moisturizer.

Not what I was hoping for
from San Diego, CA
About Me Minimalist
I currently use paulas choice oil reducing cleanser for combination skin and absolutely love it. The only thing missing from my regimen was a daily moisturizer. This seemed like a good option because I wanted to stick to the "normal, oily, and combo" skin formulas and I also really liked that it said it would help reduce red marks. I wanted to love this product but my red marks are still very present and my skin does not feel hydrated. Maybe it's just my skin but this moisturizer was too light.

My favourite Paula product
from London, ON
Hands down my favourite Paula product. I hate putting moisturizer on my face - I've had problem skin since I was 12 years old and moisturizer always felt heavy and uncomfortable on my oily/combination, cystic-acne prone skin. It's taken a long time for me to accept that my face NEEDS moisturizer, and this is the first and only product that has felt like silk going on. It's so lightweight and absorbs super quickly. As others have commented: please, never change this formulation!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

About Me Beauty Conscious, Pcfan
Love PC, total die-hard fan. This is not working for me, though. My skin feels very dry after I use it. I can see why some people's skin gets an almost sun-burned reaction from it. I've had some dryness around my eyes this winter, but other moisturizers are too emollient for that area. I just needed a basic moisturizer to use in addition to my serum. Thought this would be great but, oh my god, my poor under-eyes!!! It weirdly made them SO dry. Never had that experience with a moisturizer. Super bummed. I suggest getting a sample of this before ordering the full-size. You can pretty much tell after one application if it's going to work for you or not.

Fantastic! I am spoiled!
from Colorado Springs, Colorado
I confess, I was using cheap off-brand fragrance free lotion on my face this summer for the occasional dry areas, after my BHA gel. But my skin wasn't ever that happy or moisturized--I had redness, some bumps, and itchiness on my cheeks. I saw a sale and bought this lotion, and it is AMAZING! It goes on super light and absorbs very quickly. My skin feels silky smooth, perfectly hydrated, and the redness and irritation are gone. Even the redness in the creases of my nose is very reduced. My t-zone is normally a little oily, but this lotion seems like the perfect balance for my skin. It hasn't been a very long time yet, but I think even my wrinkles are just a little reduced. I'm afraid Paula's Choice has spoiled me...how can I ever use anything else now?
From clear and normal to rosacea and milia in just 8 hours!

About Me Beauty Conscious, Beautypedia Advocate
After leaving Colorado and dry skin behind a year ago, I found my skin had changed for the better after moving to south Texas. I changed products from Paula's skin recovery line and started using others to find my new best regimen. The Resist Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense and Perfectly Balanced Foaming Cleaners became new favorites, so I decided to purchase a sample of the hydrator. Night one, I really liked the silky smooth and moisturizing formula because it wasn't too heavy. Use it a second night, and the next morning my normally clear skin looked as if I'd suffered from rosacea and acne my entire life. My daughter even asked me what was wrong with my face and said I looked like a white-masked raccoon! My red skin also had what appears to be milia, and my face felt sort of slimy like the coating on a rubber chew toy. Appears to work for many, but there appears to be an ingredient that doesn't work well for plenty of us, too.

Not For me
from Oshawa, Ontario, Canada
About Me Skin Care Professional
Im sure this product works great for other people, it just didnt work for me. I have combination skin that is dry in some places, but very acne prone in others. After using this moisturizer for a few days, I had the same problem as another reviewer below: my skin got very red and burnt, almost like a sunburn. My skin was way more dry, this did not moisturize me at all, but again i'm not sure whether my skin is too dry for this, or whether that was the result of the reaction again. Every other product in my skincare routine is Paulas Choice, so I know they make great products.. Just for some reason this did not agree with my skin at all, which makes sense because everyone is different so it cant work for all skin types. It was just a bit upsetting to have that sort of reaction, my face was so red and sore for a few days. I took it out of my rotation and my skin cleared up. These things happen though, nothing against Paulas Choice as I love many other products. This just wasn't made for me unfortunately.

Not For Me
from Toronto, ON
About Me Beauty Conscious, Minimalist
I really wanted to like this because it sounds perfect for my acne-prone skin and hyperpigmentation but it didn't moisturize my skin. I actually got patches of dry skin in my t-zone area after using this for a couple of days (my cheeks are normally oily). It also feels like it just stays on top of my skin, like a layer of film, and doesn't get absorbed. However, like all PC products it smells great, for not being scented, and is not greasy at all.
