    I love this foam!!!!
    • I use this every other day in the morning. My skin is very oily, with large clogged/congested pores. I use one pump my face. This is done wonders clearing up what acne I had. Helps a little with my oily skin, I have no adverse reactions. I love this product and would highly recommend this to anyone, becasue it works, great price and not messy.

Effective for both discoloration and adult acne
    • After using this product for about a month, I have noticed a marked improvement. At first, I used 1 pump every other day; now I use it daily. It has helped prevent adult acne (both the small hard bumps, as well as the occasional big cystic spot) as well as reducing the vivid red spots the acne left behind. It takes a while (about 3 wks. for me) before seeing the change, but it's worth it. My only gripe is it's hard to tell how much product is left in the bottle and that it is sold out often.

    • Of all the many skin care products that I use, this is my favorite. I put it on at night and in the morning my skin is so soft, it really is an incredible product. I will never stop using this product, so far it is my PC favorite by far!!

    Skin Game Changer
    • After using this product once I noticed a HUGE improvement with my skin! I have normal skin prone to random little breakouts- but not anymore! I use this twice a week and wake up the next morning with amazing improvement! My skin is soft, smooth, and the tone is dramatically evened- and not one breakout since! LOVE!

    Amazing
    • This is amazing. Paula is very smart, so is her entire crew. I am a skin therapist and makeup artist. I work in an amazing store, but, the products ( skincare) isn't the best for most skin types that deal with sensitive issues and acne. NOTHING WORKS. I have acne, and it is annoying. I use a gentle cleanser with this at night, weekly (x2) and my moisturizer. I am amazed. Cant wait to try more.

    Amazing!
    • I think this is my new favorite Paula's Choice product. After using a couple nights in a row, I looked in the mirror and realized this stuff was actually unclogging my pores. I thought that quest was mythical! My skin feels so soft. Only thing I noticed is that if I used it more than a couple nights in a row, my skin burned. I now alternate it every other day with my 2% BHA gel. I highly recommend this stuff! Please come out with a foam form of your other BHA strengths. I love the consistency!

    Great results!
    • I have been using this 1x per week for about 4 weeks and it has been wonderful. I alternate with the Resist Weekly Resurfacing treatment 10%AHA. I use one overnight like Tues. or Wed. and the other overnight Saturday. This has a little sensation at first when applied but I leave on overnight and have not had any issues. I have sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts and marks from breakouts. My skin looks and feels amazing! It brightens skin reduces redness. Texture feels so smooth. LOVE!

    LIFESAVER=)
    • I have very sensitive combo skin w/eczema, very prone to break out w/new products. Cant live w/out This product has changed my skin! I haven't seen my skin this calm beautiful and balanced since I was 12yrs. old. I use this 3x a week and spot treat daily (BHA9 for major issues) I also alternate it w/the 10% glycolic body treatment. These work like a charm for me. My skin is nearly poreless and spots are nearly non existent. My eczema is even under control! I still get shiny by noon though=

    Not a big fan
    • I have combination skin prone to occasional breakouts. This is the 1st BHA product I've tried and I'm disappointed. I've used this 3 times over the course of 2 weeks and all 3 times when I get up the next morning my skin on the sides of my face is so tight. I look like I've aged decades overnight after using this product. It does seem to cut back on blackheads and acne breakouts though. Going forward I'll just use it on areas prone to acne breakouts.

Hi there! We're sorry your experience wasn't a better one. Unfortunately, no matter how well-formulated a product, it won't work for 100% of users. The RESIST Weekly 4% BHA Foam is a potent formula, and while many with sensitive skin love it, some find it too strong for their needs (which seems to be the case with the drying you experienced). We would encourage you to contact our Customer Care Team for assistance with a refund or exchange.

Liked it until it made my skin itch.
    • The only BHA product I can use on my FLAKEY/DRY skin is the BHA 9. I was worried this RESIST WEEKLY RETEXTURIZING FOAMING TREATMENT would be too much for me, however, I got away with using less than a full pump on my face twice a week without any added dryness. But after a few weeks of using it I noticed my skin started itching after applying it! Probably going to have to switch back to the BHA 9. The foam did make my skin feel smoother, didn't notice much of a difference with blackheads though.

A Little too much for me
    • I gave this three stars, because I'm sure that it works great for most skin. My face felt tight the next day, and there was flaking around my cheeks and hairline. I should have known, since the 2% bha liquid is only a weekly product for me, for the same reason, but I thought this might be a different formulation and more gentle. I will try it on the backs of my arms so as not to waste it.

    Mattifying!
    • For the first time ever I can look at my face at 11am, and there is no shine! It's miraculous! I have tried everything to de-slick, Urban Decay, Paula's Mattifier, no oil makeup (which usually just looks cakey) but since I liked using this new product one night a week I decided to it again three days later and voila! My makeup did not absorb into my face! I have always used BHA, I guess it just wasn't enough. So happy!

    Amazing
    • I've always had these little white bumps on my forehead and never knew how to get rid of it. Facials worked wonders but after a few weeks, the nasty white bumps came back. I've also tried every brand out there for oily/acne prone skin -- from drugstore brands to high-end brands -- none worked. I heard about Paula's Choice from a YouTube tutorial by Goss make-up artist and decided to give it a try. For the cost, I thought it was worth the try and I'm so glad I did. Will be buying this again.

    Not for senestive skin
    • I really wanted to like this product after reading the amazing experiences others were having. I love the foam texture of this product and the fact you only have to use it once a week. Although this product worked great for my body acne, it was harsh on my facial skin as I broke into whiteheads, where the blackheads originally were. I will switch back to the 2% BHA Clear Reg as that worked better for me. I also have had great results with the 10% AHA , another product to use once a week

    So Glad I Tried This
    • I have never been compelled to write a review on a product until the BHA 4% Foam came into my life. I am 30 and have struggled with mild, stubborn acne consisting of small, clogged pores which created a bumpy texture on my skin that made me very self conscious. This product made a difference after just a couple uses. I did get a litle over excited by the progress and proceeded to use in three days in a row - which did cause dryness an peeling...once or twice a week is best. This stuff rocks!!

    • Wow. I only discovered Paulas's Choice last year after struggling with acne in my early twenties I became obsessed with skincare. Paulas products are the only ones that improve my skin truly, and now I have clear skin that is healing. This product, after using only four times some red marks from acne are fading. My skin is improved overnight by this bha foam, and I will continue to repurchase! Paula's choice is my favorite skincare company, no animal testing and actually good ingredients!

    Caused unusual reaction
    • This product triggered an episode of pityrosporum folliculitis (itchy red sandpapery acne rash), which previously I've only experienced as a reaction to antibiotics. I have been using Paula's other exfoliants for years without any ill effects. I see a couple of other reviewers users have reported red bumps, so I may not be alone. You may wish to avoid this product if you are prone to this reaction. PC has graciously offered me a refund, and I appreciate the good customer service.

    • I ordered this in Feb 2014 from PC USA after PC Singapore website is under maintenance. I have been using PC's products for the past 6 months. I can say, PC's products have saved my skin. However, not this one. I use one tiny pump of this at night and wake up in the morning with dry red itchy patches. It lasts for a week. Two weeks later I try again and similar thing happened.

    • I've been using Paula's products for years and found some excellent products. I have been looking for an exfoliant to get rid of blackheads while gentle but this is not it. The product details seems to suggest "dramatic results without flaking or signs of irritation" but flaking, redness and irritation were what I got. In fact, I did not react like this to the supposedly stronger 9% spot treatment. Beware if your skin is sensitive.

    • I have had embarrassing keratosis pilaris on my arms my whole life. On April 13th, I am getting married in a strapless dress, and I have really been stressing about how my arms are going to look. A few weeks ago I purchased this product, and I have been using it on my arms every day. There is a REMARKABLE difference in the texture and appearance of the skin on my arms. The fact that this product showed up in my life right when I needed it most is a blessing beyond belief. Thank you.

    • You truly see noticeable results immediately. I have oily skin and breakouts. I used this 4 nights in a row and just carefully watched so I wasn't too dry. It literally got rid of any current blemish on my face within a few days. Overall my face is smoother and clearer. I normally break out from almost anything. I have search high and low for something so effective and now I am in love!

    • I really love this product. I've had really really bad acne between my eyebrows and forehead. Even when I was using benzoyl peroxide I was still breaking out. I use this every other night and my acne is almost gone and my acne is really stubborn :(. Sadly I have pitted scars and dark acne marks but this is slowly starting to help lessen how noticeable my scars are also in conjunction to wearing suncreen everyday. Hopefully I'm not jinxing myself by writing this but I hope this will work forever.

    • Wow! I can't resist impulsively trying new products from PC, and I am so glad I got this one! My skin is super sensitive and a little dry, but this foam has only done good things. I love how soft it makes my skin. Acne disappears overnight, and scars seem to be slowly disappearing. It does seem pretty strong, so I don't use it more than twice a week. I could see this replacing BHA9 for me, as it seems to work faster.

What makes this product unique?
RESIST Weekly Retexturizing Foam is an innovative treatment that delivers smoother, younger-looking skin overnight. Specialized technology encapsulates anti-aging superstar salicylic acid for time-released delivery—so you get dramatic results without flaking or signs of irritation.

The unique liquid-to-foam texture feels water-light yet is packed with soothing ingredients that reduce redness, calm inflammation, unclog pores, and reduce symptoms of rosacea. Plant-based antioxidants work with the exfoliating, pore-penetrating action of salicylic acid to stimulate collagen production for firmer, smoother, more radiant skin.

This weekly skin saver not only reduces multiple signs of aging, but also fades red marks from breakouts; plus, it's a potent option for banishing stubborn "chicken skin" (keratosis pilaris) on arms or legs. This product has a pH of 3.6.

Who is this product for?
RESIST Weekly Retexturizing Foam is for anyone concerned with signs of aging, enlarged pores, and breakouts. Also excellent for those with rosacea or for treating "chicken skin" (keratosis pilaris). The formula is suitable for all skin types, but best for combination to oily or breakout-prone skin.

NOTE: Those allergic to aspirin (acetylsalicylate) should not use products containing salicylic acid (beta hydroxy acid).

Can I use RESIST Weekly Retexturizing Foaming Treatment with my regular BHA exfoliant? What about combining it with RESIST BHA 9?

Yes, but this isn't necessary to get great results. However, depending on the amount of sun damage you have or if you have stubborn breakouts and clogged pores adding this treatment to your regular BHA exfoliant can enhance the results.

If you'd like to use two BHAs at the same time, pay attention to how your skin responds and adjust frequency of usage accordingly. When using Weekly Retexturizing Foam with one of our Skin Perfecting BHA exfoliants, apply the Skin Perfecting exfoliant after RESIST Weekly Retexturizing Foaming Treatment. If using with RESIST BHA 9, apply that spot treatment before or after applying RESIST Weekly Retexturizing Treatment.

How frequently can I use RESIST Weekly Retexturizing Foaming Treatment? Is using it every day too much?

Most people concerned with signs of aging plus clogged pores/breakouts and oily skin will find that using this treatment 1-3 times per week is perfect. However, you may apply it more often if desired, based on how your skin responds. For some skin types and skin problems it can be helpful to use this treatment up to 5 times per week. For example, those with very oily skin, stubborn clogged pores, or a rough, bumpy skin texture may find more frequent use is preferred. Applying every night is an option, too, but most will find this is overdoing it, especially if you are also using other exfoliants.

If you are struggling with very stubborn acne or other types of breakouts, you may find nightly usage works beautifully for a brief period of time. Once the breakouts are under control, you can reduce frequency of application or begin using one of our other, lower-strength BHA exfoliants daily to maintain the results.

There are so many different BHA exfoliants! How do I choose the best one for me?

Choose the best BHA for you based on your skin type, concerns, and texture preferences. Liquids and gels are great for oily or combination skin; lotions are ideal for normal to dry skin or combination skin with drier areas.

RESIST Weekly Retexturizing Foaming Treatment is ideal for normal to oily or combination skin struggling with wrinkles, enlarged pores, breakouts, and rough, uneven skin. Pair this with any of our Skin Perfecting BHA exfoliants to see a significant improvement in all of those concerns, or it may be used alone as your sole BHA exfoliant.

Can I use RESIST Weekly Retexturizing Foaming Treatment as my only exfoliant?

Yes, though if you opt to use this as your daily exfoliant, monitor how your skin responds. If you see signs of irritation or flaking, reduce frequency of usage (perhaps to every other night or every couple of nights) or alternate this with one of our Skin Perfecting BHA exfoliants.

What’s the difference between RESIST Weekly Retexturizing Foaming Treatment and RESIST BHA 9?

Both exfoliants have time-released delivery systems to ensure great results without irritation and both contain salicylic acid, though in different amounts (4% for the Weekly Treatment and 9% for BHA 9). Beyond the percentage of salicylic acid, the other differences are texture, with the Weekly Retexturizing Treatment being liquid-to-foam and BHA 9 being a serum-like fluid.
Finally, RESIST Weekly Retexturizing Foaming Treatment is designed for using all over the face, neck, and chest while RESIST BHA 9 is meant to be a spot treatment for stubborn imperfections, not an all-over exfoliant. Both work to address multiple concerns, including signs of aging, and both may be used as needed to solve such issues as clogged pores, blackheads, white bumps, and for smoothing the appearance of wrinkles.

Can RESIST Weekly Retexturizing Foaming Treatment be used on the body, such as for dry, cracked heels?

Yes! This treatment may be used on areas of thickened, built-up skin on knees, feet, elbows, etc. At night, apply a thin layer and follow with an emollient moisturizer. The next morning you’ll wake up to dramatically softer, smoother skin!

I have KP (keratosis pilaris) and products with 2% salicylic acid haven’t helped. Will this work?

Quite possibly, yes! It’s worth a try because this is a stronger BHA exfoliant formulated in a unique delivery system to ensure dramatic results without irritation. Every Paula's Choice product is sold with a 100% money-back guarantee, so you have nothing to lose!

Can RESIST Weekly Retexturizing Foaming Treatment be used with skin-lightening products?

Yes. Whether the skin-lightening product contains hydroquinone or other lightening ingredients, it will help to enhance the effectiveness of your skin-lightening product. At night, apply the Weekly Retexturizing Treatment first, and then follow with your skin lightener, serum (if used), and your moisturizer.

Will RESIST Weekly Retexturizing Foaming Treatment cause my skin to dry out?

Although it's possible that some who use this product too frequently or combined with other exfoliants may notice some flaking or sensation of dryness, when used as directed RESIST Weekly Retexturizing Treatment won’t leave skin feeling dry or looking flaky. It contains several ingredients that help skin retain moisture—you’ll be surprised at how unbelievably smooth this treatment makes your skin after just one night’s use! If you remain concerned about dryness, follow application with a moisturizer suitable for your skin type.
