About Me Minimalist
Comments about RESIST C15 Super Booster - 0.67 oz:
C15 contains 15% L-Ascorbic Acid, E and Ferulic Acid, putting it on par with some high-end AOX serums for a fraction of the price. The literature I've seen recommends 10% or higher concentration of L-AA in order to benefit skin. Getting 10% is tricky if this serum is mixed into other products, so I decided to use it as a standalone layer in my skin care regimen. The "hot dog" smell mentioned by other reviewers is very strong, and doesn't dissipate. Night time wearing was out of the question for me, because strong smells affect my ability to sleep. I wore C15 during the day under my sunscreen, which I learned is recommended to help prevent free-radical damage. C15 absorbed very well, so I never had any issues with delays in my morning routine, and the product did not add any oiliness or shine to my skin. If anything, it helped prep my skin to better absorb my sunscreen, so I was pleased with this skincare combination. However, because it soaked in so well, I used the product quickly which detracts from its relative value.Overall, my skin is too sensitive to wear C15 AND continue other actives (BHA, AHA, Retin-A). Adding C15 caused irritation, but I don't know what ingredient was bothersome, nor if a lower L-AA concentration would help. I ended up using the remainder of the product on the backs of my hands before applying sunscreen. On both face and hands, C15 had a very rapid effect of brightening my skin, and over time I had some fading of dark spots. There is no doubt in my mind that L-AA is a superstar ingredient. Unfortunately, this formulation offered by PC will not work for me, but I do recommend trying it in case it works well for others.

I use this every morning & night. After one of the retinol serums I apply to my face. Then a moisturizer w/SPF for day & moisturizer for night.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

About Me Beauty Conscious
I'm hooked on this stuff. It has made a huge difference in my sun damaged, aging skin. My skin is also combination, sensitive, with large pores, rosacea, and I have melasma. Very challenging. This product brightens and smooths my skin without freaking out my rosacea or causing breakouts. I use a few drops nightly before my Clinical 1% Retinol. Amazing results.

My first high percentage vitamin c serum
from Denver, CO
About Me Beauty Expert
This is the first high-percentage vitamin c serum I've used, but I'll definitely be comparing any others I try to this one. The liquid texture mixes into other serums, moisturizers, and oils so well. I notice that my skin looks much less dull when I use this daily. It smells like hot dogs, but that's to be expected with these ingredients.

Stands up to the best on the market, I would know

This is an excellent Vitamin C product - for me, Vitamin C is a standout essential that I started using more than 15 years ago and I swear by it (people regularly guess my age 10 years younger, and I owe a lot of this to Vit C). I realize different products and different ingredients have different results for each individual, but for me personally, Vit C is the most effective, dramatic, consistent ingredient that makes a difference on my skin. I started by using the top of the line, pioneer brands when Vit C was first exploding in serum form on the markets - I have tried (and still occasionally use) the MOST expensive Vit C/Vit C-Ferulic combinations out there - there is only one that rivals Paula's, for me personally, but it is nearly 4x the price - the only reason I sometimes use that serum over Paula's is the incredibly soothing and calming texture the higher priced one offers - other than that, I can honestly say that this product - in terms of addressing fine lines, firming, and evening skin texture and providing a healthy glow - is an absolute WINNER. I do agree you get a small amount of product, but Vit C stability and freshness are important, so the batches SHOULD be small! I use this twice a day so using up product before it finishes is not an issue for me. The smell?????? My only comment is, no it does not smell like roses at first - but the slightly strange smell dissipates quickly and is a tiny price to pay for the results this delivers! Paula's Choice is a brand that is so consistent and demonstrates so much integrity, it's impressive. An awesome Vitamin C product.

Just not sure
from Cincinnati, Ohio
I have purchased this several times over the years because i believe a good quality vitamin c serum is essential. However, i've caved once again and gone back to Skinceuticals Vitamin C and E Ferulic because of the research behind it and because i know it is effective. Having said that, i believe that PC products are very well formulated. I just find it difficult to tell how well it is working. Basically I switch between the two products. I've used other vitamin c serums and don't trust in the manufacturer. I listen to the Beauty Brains podcast and they seem to have a high regard for PC.

No noticible results
By Barbara Pym groupie

First off, thus is the most expensive skincare product I have ever purchased. I had extremely high hope for the vitamin c booster, having read rave reviews of it and Paula's Choice in general all over the Internet, however thus product has been the most disappointing of everything I've ordered. To start, I'm 39, Caucasian with pale skin that is neither oily nor dry, I get the odd pimple during my menstrual periods and am only just starting to get fine lines on my forehead. I wear sunscreen religiously and often hats but have a few age spots on each cheek bone. I bought this for brightening and age protection, and despite using it morning and night since mid-December utility now (mid April) I have not noticed any fading of age spots or any other improvements.Furthermore, with twice daily use, I have only been able to use about 40% of the product before it began to visibly oxidize and turn orange. This is extremely frustrating with the dropper packaging that allows for quite a bit of air exposure. I'm not sure why something as unstable as vitamin c is not packaged in an airtight pump.

Salami Smell on Face for Months for ... Nothing
from Montreal, Canada
I first tried a sample. A PC rep told me it was too small to see a noticeable difference, that I need to buy the large bottle and continue treatment, that it would help with redness, dryness, and general skin improvement. So I did, but the full bottle did NONE of it. AND it has the strongest smell of ANY PC products I have ever used (like salami). And as many have already stated here, it oxidizes WAY too quickly, so halfway through the bottle, you are left with an orange liquid. Not worth the money. Never purchasing it again. Stay away. Worst PC product ever.
Delivery is never prompt and takes 3-4 weeks minimum if you live in Canada. I purchased the full bottle during a promo where they gave me a free trial size of this same product (2nd trial size I have used) but that small bottle was completely oxidized when it arrived. They sent me a new one but that also took another 3-4 weeks to arrive. Be careful with this product. The large bottle may have transparent liquid in it, but the sample size bottle may be completely orange by the time you receive it, depending on where you live.
Oxidizes too fast- money down drain
By Karen DeCosta

I am a loyal PC user - have been for 11 years. This product continues to be the biggest disappointment and money waster. It oxidizes to a dark brown color way before the 3 month period. I have kept buying it but no more. This time I have over half a bottle left which has to be thrown out. Over a year it equates to approximately 1/2 bottle 4 times. Not a way to keep loyal customers.
