Comments about RESIST Essential Kit for Normal to Oily Skin - Essential Kit:
I live in Canada and always struggled to find a good skin care for my acne-prone and dry skin. This set is just FABULOUS! I was really impressed by all products, especially that the cleanser also take my eye make-up off.I am re-ordering it now and think I will keep using it for years to come.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Love this set, will continue to purchase.
I have been using this set daily and I've definitely noticed changes in my skin. My skin is softer, more even toned, I've had less breakouts and my acne scars and sun spotting has faded. Overall I'm happy and I am not wearing as much makeup because I don't need it!

Radiantly even-toned & youthful skin
I used the trial size kit for traveling over the summer to southern Japan (a VERY humid place in July). After a week of using it, I was really impressed with how wonderful my skin looked - it was smoother, younger, and more even-toned looking. In fact, it looked so even-toned that I often didn't bother wearing any makeup, and I usually wear makeup everyday. My skin has never looked better and has never responded so rapidly to a skincare line. Unfortunately, I lost the rest during my travels although if you're curious, I was going into my 4th week with the trial kit and there was still plenty of product left in most of the bottles. I plan on buying this entire kit again once I run out of my current PC face wash. It's on the more expensive side, but it was so worth it!I can't understand why this isn't 5 star reviews across the board but I guess it goes to show that everyone really does have different skin types and reactions.

About Me Minimalist
I did extensive research before purchasing this product. I have heard fantastic things about PC and did a lot of reading and watched a lot of YouTube videos before finally purchasing this line. I wanted something for my pores as well as wrinkles. I have combination skin (currently more oily than anything with this southern humidity) with a couple small breakouts ( 1 or 2 pimples) once or twice a month, usually associated with stress and hormones. Within 3 days of using this product, I had seriously like 30 pimples covering my chin. My skin had NEVER looked that bad, not even in my teenage years. After about a week of the worst skin of my life, I contacted customer support who were fantastic and suggested that this could be a combination of purging or skin sensitivity. I started playing with my routine and over the next couple of weeks I was unable to figure out if one particular product was causing all these pimples or if it was just not the line for me. I have altogether quit using the products (it has been 4 weeks since I first used the products) and my skin is starting to recover. As far as individual products, I loved the gentleness of the cleanser and the exfoliant. The day time moisturizer was sort of sticky feeling (also this could be this horrid humidity in TN). The night time moisturizer was nice but I woke up with the greasiest skin I have ever felt. I am currently in the process of figure out which line I am going to exchange these products for. I have faith there is a PC product for me.

I was so eager to try this set that I ordered it while living and working in Europe at a ridiculous price. I made the right choice though (now PC is my choice too). The cleanser, treatment and the night lotion are absolutely wonderful, but my skin didn't care for the SPF fluid- it made my face shiny after a few minutes (will not buy this one again). This is the first time I feel like I have spent my money on something that is worth it in skincare. Never going back to anything else.

I have only been using this product for a week, and the difference in my skin is very noticeable. My oily spots are no longer oily, and my dry spots are no longer dry. My complexion and acne spots leaps and bounds better than they were 7 days ago!

About Me Beauty Expert
I am so happy with this set. I've added additional products from Paula's Choice to compliment this base set. I am 43 with fair skin that's in pretty good shape thanks to the fact I never spent much time in the sun. I have noticed lines on my forehead and around my eyes in the last few years. I also was unhappy with the dullness of the skin on my cheeks. I had been using ROC retinol night cream with some success. I read reviews about Paula's Choice and figured I would give it a try.I started with the essential set for Combination skin. My forehead and nose tend to be a little oily while my cheeks are prone to being dry. Within the first week, I was impressed. The 4 steps are very simple and straightforward to use. My favorite is the exfoliant. It absorbs right in, no stickiness or tackiness at all. I also love the sunblock as it is very milky and light and absorbs nicely into my skin. I put a little primer over it and my makeup applies very nicely. My skin has become smooth, soft, firm and I've even noticed my skin tone evening out. I find I need less foundation as my skin looks so nice now!

Background on my skin: I've been dealing with acne since I was 12; I'm almost 31 now. My skin is oily, with permanent blackheads on my nose, large pores on cheeks, lots of pitted scarring from past breakouts. For the past 4 months or so, I've finally been able to get my hormonal acne (jaw/neck) under control. However, I found that my skin still needed something to help with around my eyes. I started seeing some fine lines at the tops of my cheeks and around my eyes. Whenever I wear makeup, I look much older due to the dryness and fine lines. I still use my other cleansers (raw honey and coconut oil), but am increasing my use of this cleanser. The cleanser makes my skin very soft and not dry or tight. Sometimes the hydrator will rub off and pill, which makes results in poor makeup application afterwards; so the hydrator will become used at night only. The moisturizer with the SPF is okay, it doesn't make me breakout like others with SPF. My nose and surrounding areas are usually pretty red; this kit has helped decrease some of that. I've noticed some improvements in my skin over the last month, hopefully I'll see more improvements around my eyes in the next few months. I still think I'll need to add in an eye cream though. My blackheads on my nose are still there though.
Love, love, love!
I have been using this kit for 2 months and all the products in the kit are the best skin care products I have ever used. (And I have seriously used 100's of different products, high end and drug store). I have had cystic acne for years and this in combination with seeing a dermatologist has helped my skin tremendously. I have NEVER left a review for a product but this stuff works and deserves all five stars I can give it. If you have troubled skin, give this kit a try.

As a last resort (even birth control didn't work), I decided to try the Resist line for breakouts and wrinkles. The real test came when my monthly hormones kicked in. I am happy to report that I did not have one breakout! My chin is clear and the reoccurring pimples that usually plague me during my cycle stayed away. It is a miracle! I was worried that the bottles wouldn't last very long, but I have used the products for a month and I am pretty sure this kit will last well past two months. So, cost wise, it has definitely been worth it.
