Comments about Resist Super-Light Daily Defense SPF 30 - 2 oz:
I loved this Moisturizer! Left my skin looking great, with a bit of color, perfect for my skin tone. Great without makeup and excellent under foundation; works as a primer. Not greasy and dries fast. Would absolutely recommend!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I love PC products but this one I found unusable. I have fair skin but not sensitive. My skin though hurt after applying this product. I love the idea of the product, but this one was a dud for me.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Complete opposite of matte finish
This review is based on the sample-sized product.I've been on the hunt for a high SPF sunblock/moisturizer that feels good on my incredibly sensitive and oily skin for a while, and this is about the 5th one I've tried. The sunblock went on smoothly and smelled fine, the texture of the product being much thicker than other PC spf+moisture products I've tried. However, the stuff never....dried.This product went on long after I had put on my last step of my morning routine (a fragrance-free Olay serum that beautypedia remarks can double as a primer) so my skin wasn't moist or over-dry from a previous step, but was in fact already feeling rather smooth and matte. I then put on a standard amount for sunscreen moisturizer, smoothed it on, and it just became a mess.As of writing this review, it's been an hour since I put on this spf+moisturizer and my face still feels incredibly sticky. I can touch my face and bring back my finger, and there's a tannish residue left behind. Yuck! For pluses, though, it did not cause any redness of skin or pain (my skin burns immediately at contact with denatured alcohol, for baseline comparison). It also looked fairly attractive on my very pale skin as far as a tinted moisturizer goes, but since it never really dried... I can't really recommend it for even being used for that.

Very Disappointing-- Burns my skin
If you have fair and very oily skin this is great product. However, beware if you have sensitive skin. IT BURNSI baught this sunscreen a month ago, thinking that if I paid more for a physical sunscreen my skin would not react like it did to drugstore moisturizers with SPF. At first I loved how it dried to a matt finish and minimized pores with a slight tint (I have very fair/ reddish skin). After a few days I noticed that my skin burned when I applied the sunscreen! I tried the sunscreen with a different primer- still burned. I thought maybe my skin was sensitive because of my period, so I waited a week- still burned. Now I have half a tube of quite expensive unused sunscreen.
I received this product as a sample and LOVE it. Will be adding this to my next purchase.

This is not a universal tone
By Glad I Found Paula's

I had high hopes after seeing the extremely positive reviews online, but I'm glad I relied on the sample sizes (thanks for providing and offering these for purchase). I'm always suspicious when something is marketed as "for all skin tones," unless it's something that lacks a color altogether, but I was willing to overlook this since I had such a positive experience with other products. I was hoping to find a product for the "no makeup" look, but this didn't work for me.While I liked the texture of this sunscreen, it did not work for my golden medium to golden tan skin--in MAC I'm an NC30. I have dark hair and I'd describe myself as having tan to brown skin; I'm a Filipina. While it looked ok at the first application, although slightly pink, shortly after application it started to look very pink to purple. I suspect this is from the white with pinkish-brown cast on my already brown skin--it started to look purple. After a few hours, it started to look a little orange. Not acceptable for me.I liked the texture and the active ingredients; it didn't make my skin feel greasy, but I personally don't think this should be marketed as for all skin tones. I think it will work better for those with more pinkish undertones. It should either be offered in multiple tones, or if possible without a tint altogether, if the white cast from the zinc oxide isn't too harsh.

#1 in my skin care routine
By K9 Love

I have purchased this product 4 times and will continue to do so. This is the ONLY product that I consistently use everyday. I am a product junkie and tend to buy too many things and then forget about them, put them aside, and so on. However, this product takes front row in my cabinet because it really is the only thing you need after washing your skin: 1.) sunscreen 2.) antioxidants 3.) slight coverage. I have very fair skin and burn easily and this protects my face very well. It has a slight tint to it so if I'm not in a 'makeup' mood but still want some coverage, this does it. I'm an older gal (over 50) so I definitely have uneven skin tone. However, this smooths it out. On work days I do wear foundation over it and it ALWAYS works well with whatever foundation I use. In fact, I feel like they actually blend better when I have this on because it gives a smoothing effect, yet with a matte consistency. When I first purchased it, I was worried that it was a matte texture because sometimes those can be very drying. This product does NOT dry out the skin nor does it leave a shiny or greasy film. I absolutely love this product and I HOPE Paula's Choice will continue to offer it.

Too drying for me

About Me Minimalist
I received a sample of this with my first order of other PC products. I tried this out today and yesterday - yesterday over 2% BHA liquid and today over 2% BHA liquid and Resist retinol serum. The tint worked pretty well for my fair skin and the product definitely matted out any shine I normally get (after about 2 weeks of using the above products I definitely notice a dewy finish for the first few hours). But I think my skin must not be oily enough for this product because I'm getting winter-level dry spots around my mouth and even a bit on my forehead. Definitely for the oilier range of "normal to oily."

I absolutely think this is the one of the perfect sunscreen I can get in the market. It gives matte finish literally, is made of Zinc oxide which never irritates my eyes and skin. However when I reapply it or when I apply it liberally, It makes my face turn into dark pink one. My skin color can be matched by MAC NC 25. I've used best face forward SPF 25, best linen, and I found Its color is perfect for me. I really hope to Paula's choice team to produce this sunscreen with more colors like the colors for the foundation.

Best physical sunscreen. Great foundation primer.
By Strawberry Limonade

I'm a pale girl with cool (pink) undertones. Many physical sunscreens (titanium oxide/zinc oxide) are chalky white. I was hesitant about getting this sunscreen because it's tinted, and most tinted moisturizers have yellow undertones. This one works nicely with my skin tone, but I could certainly see that it may not be for everyone. I often have problems using sunscreen around my eyes because it inevitably gets into my eyes and causes irriation. This one stays put and unlike other sunscreens, it works remarkably well under foundation. It really does function as a primer. I'm very impressed.
