About Me Beauty Conscious
Comments about RESIST Dark Spot Eraser 7% AHA - 1 oz:
I've been using this product twice daily for about 6 weeks and I'm finally seeing some noticeable fading of a couple pinkish-brown spots that had taken up long-term residence on my face after over aggressive picking at blemishes. I will continue to use and hope the fading with continue too.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Excellent product; works as stated

About Me Minimalist
I am a fair-skinned, 52 year old with auburn hair, brown eyes who began noticing a small dark area on the bridge of my nose. Probably due to menopause. Within days of using this product as directed, a very small amount combined with a moisturizer in the am and when I went to sleep, the results were obvious and outstanding. I do not notice an odor when I use this product. While I love the outdoors I am not a sun worshipper and have always protected the beautiful skin I've been blessed with. I have always been more than pleased with all the products I have purchased from Paula's Choice upon discovering them while listening to a local radio show here in Mpls years ago. From superb product development to excellent customer service this company is a woman's best friend. Thank you!

Burned and stinks but WORKED!!!!
About Me Beauty Expert
I have used this product before with no results. I put a thin layer all over my face. I wasn't very consistent because it smells so bad. Well, I decided to try it again and go it all the way. My plan going in was if this doesn't work, I will take advantage of money back guarantee. I really caked it on the small area along my jawline with brown spots. I applied every night and occasionally a thin layer over area in day time. It left my skin red and irritated. The skin where I applied so heavily and regularly got very rough then the magic happened. That skin began flaking off and underneath - the new skin had NO BROWN SPOTS!!! I have stopped using product because spots are completely gone. For me, it took about 3 weeks.

About Me 50's, Mid Skin Tones
I use this product on my neck, twice a day, morning and evening. I have sun damage and really want to improve the look of my mottled, blotchy, red-neck skin.Let me say that first of all, you have to be patient - those dark spots didn't get there overnight so don't expect this to work in a few days. I use this after cleansing and as it can make your skin sensitive to the sun, a good time of year to really go for it is during the winter months. If not, you will need to cover up your treated areas with sunscreen spf 30 - and using sunscreen year round is a good practice too.The first week was a challenge - my skin got inflamed and I broke out in tiny lesions/pimples but I persevered. By changing how I use the product (I went from just dabbing it on to actually rubbing it into my skin) things improved and settled down by week three. I am now about 5 weeks/one tube into using the product and I can see that the damaged areas are considerably improved. Not completely eradicated, but lighter. I have gone from plastering concealer over my neck to only needing some tinted foundation and a dab of powder - and that is enough to hide what is left of my dark patches. After the second month I intend to step back the number of times I use the cream.Be aware that this cream needs to be kept in a solid closed container, so always replace the top after use. Also, my skin feels slightly "thinner" after using this.I intend to visit a dermatologist when I complete the treatment to see if laser treatment will knock this problem out of the park - but that will be pricey, so if you are looking for something cheaper that is effective, I would give this cream a try for a couple of months.

Brown Spots Stay Gone; Skin is Smooth & Glowing
from Columbus, OH
I've been using this for years and am more than pleased with the results. I am ultra fair, and this product has removed or drastically toned down bronzed areas on my cheeks/temples/nose, a small brown mole, and several age spots. I also have very sensitive skin but recently tried stepping it up to five evenings a week and was surprised to wake up to even more glowing smoothness. I now make a cocktail in the palm of my hand by mixing a smaller amount than I used to use in with my antioxidant and moisturizer, and then apply it to my face, neck, and chest. I add another layer of just moisturizer under my eyes. I do use a sunscreen every day, rain or shine, or the uneven skin tone will reappear.
I had a bad reaction.
from Tehachapi, CA
For a few weeks, I really liked how it began to lighten the melasma patches on my neck and cheeks. Unfortunately, I started to get very itchy, red, and raw in those areas and had to stop using it altogether. My dermatologist says some people develop allergies to hydroquinone, and I should stop. I wish that wasn't the case, because it did lighten effectively.

Does not work at all
from New York, NY
Boy, was I disappointed in the non-existent results of the Resist Dark Spot Eraser product. I swear by Paula's Choice and have recommended her products to friends, so it's nothing against the brand, per se, but this did ZILCH for my acne scars. I tried it on my face consistently, where I have pretty bad scars from over 10 years of acne, and also on a twin acne mark on my inner thigh. I saw no difference in either, and I'm pretty sure this might have made the inner thigh scars worse (they're now purple in color, rather than red). I feel like the more products that PC comes out with, the less effective it is for the entire brand, which is a real shame. There used to be a limited selection but good, quality products, and now it's becoming so diluted with boosters, spot erasers, fillers, etc. that it's starting to seem over-commercialized. I would not recommend this product to anyone, especially if you were really hoping to find something (outside of laser surgery) to get rid of scarring from acne.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I used this product every night before bed. I had high hopes for this product. It left my skin a little bit sensitive to bumps and acne and there were no visible changes in my dark spots. I also use a sunscreen with spf 50 everyday. I have seen more of a difference with the vitamin C serum when added to my moisturizer. However, this product did not work on my skin.
Too Irritating for My Skin
I purchased this hoping it would be easier to apply than the 2% BHA gel which I had been using. This product is easier to control than the 'runny' gel but after only a few once-a-day applications it made the area red and irritated. I let the area clear for several days and tried again with the same results. It's back to the BHA gel for me--which works great if you are consistent with its use.
