Pores don't disappear but look much better!
About Me Minimalist
Comments about RESIST 10% Niacinamide Booster - 0.67 oz:
My skin has become less oily as I've aged, but my pores are still very large and visible and my T-zone can look red & splotchy. I would prefer not to wear any kind of foundation but I really need something to even my skin tone and reduce the look of my pores. I have now been able to switch from daily BFF foundation to using Barrier Repair followed by Super-Light Wrinkle Defense with SPF 30 (light tint) along with a light application of powder! No foundation necessary thanks to niacinamide! My pores are still pretty obvious so this isn't magical, but it does well enough.I use this nightly with Barrier Repair after BHA. Here's the trick: I apply the Repair and rub in lightly. I tilt back my face and apply one drop on either cheek. I then finish rubbing in the moisturizer, distributing the booster.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

About Me Beauty Conscious
The product works if used correctly! I always add 2 or 3 drops to my moisturizer, I never ever apply it on its own straight to the face. That would waste the product as it does have a watery texture. I notice my large pores are not as large and it does soften fine lines, wrinkles. I highly recommend product as it does work. I even add 2 or 3 drops to my RX Retin A!

Smoother Skin with more even Texture
About Me Beauty Expert
I am fortunate because Niacinamide does not break me out or irritate my skin like many people experience. In fact, it does nothing but great things for my skin! Skin is smoother looking, pores appear smaller, texture more even, lines less pronounced. I searched the internet for Niacinamide skin care that was 10% and couldn't find it anywhere; the highest I could find was 5% and since I tolerate it well, I really wanted the higher percentage because of it's great benefits. I have read some reviews where people don't like the texture of this Niacinamide Booster and prefer it thicker. I happen to be one who likes the thinner texture and don't like the thicker hyaluronic acid type thick gel getting stuck in the dropper. I use 5-6 drops in my nightly moisturizer and I love it! I love all of Paula's Choice skin care products but especially the unique "Targeted solutions" and "Anti-Aging Boosters" that can help me tailor my skin care to my own skin's tolerance issues and needs. For example, since I tolerate Niacinamide well and have large pore issues, I like to use a high percentage of the product and more of it than many people prefer. That's the beauty of the "Targeted Solutions" and "Anti-Aging Boosters" products available at Paula's Choice! Love!!!!!!

My skin used to be really oily, but currently it's more dry, still a bit oily in T-zone and I have eczema. It's not bad, but there are red/pink, slightly rough patches on my cheeks always. But I notice those patches are decreasing quickly after using this!!!!Tbh at first it was irritating my skin, but I think it's because I'm rotating HBA, AHA, Retinol products (Resist line) AND this so it's a bit too much. That's why I reduced the dosage (like use abt two drops - NOT two whole droppers - at night, abt two nights a week) and started seeing the results: my skin is less red, less patchy, softer and less dry, pores seem to get better (they look nicer, I'm not sure if they're smaller because my pores wasn't that bad to begin with). Now I'm increasing the dosage bit by bit and it's not irritating at all anymore, and I love every bit of it!!Thank you so much PC team, I never thought there could be a product that improves the patches on my skin because they're eczema, and they're not so bad but just never went away, until now!!! This is just brilliant, keep up the wonderful work! Love love love

Broke me out every time
I tried using this alone and mixed into my moisturizer on at least 5 occasions each way over the past six months, and every time this broke me out overnight. Yesterday was my last attempt, and I discarded the bottle this morning after looking in the mirror. I have rosacea with sensitive skin. There is simply too much in this for someone with sensitive skin....too much Niacinamide and too many other ingredients. My skin loves Niacinamide so I would like to see a sensitive skin version that has a lower amount of Niacinamide and does not include a kitchen sink full of other ingredients.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Love what it does hate the texture
from Toronto, ON
I took off one star due to the watery texture. I'll keep buying this product, but wish PC would change the texture to something similar to the Hyaluronic Acid Booster. It is recommended to mix it with other products in a palm of your hand before applying it to the face, but I feel most of get gets absorbed in to the skin of my hand so I don't do it. Instead, I apply it straight to my face and it's tricky. Dear PC team, please change the texture of this product!

Quit smoking two years ago (I'm 27) and formerly smoked a pack a day for like four years. I thought I had lost firmness and was right! This product did nothing for my pores, but made my face firmer. Not just a little firmer, much firmer! 5 drops/day after exfoliant. Irritation for the first three days, then went away. I do with it had a little more slip to it. The water-like texture makes it sort of dray up in the lines on my palm and I feel like I'm about to have it run out of my hand. Other people probably like water-thin texture, though.

I bought a bottle of Paula's Choice 10% Niacinamide Booster, mostly because I'm trying to fade hyper-pigmentation on my face and I have large pores on my nose. The sample packaging really didn't do this product justice, and only helped me verify that the product would not irritate my skin. As a result, the bottle purchase was a bit of a risk as I didn't know if it would do much for my skin. The product is extremely thin, and doesn't lend itself to being used straight. Due to the watery texture, much of the product runs and is wasted. I resorted to mixing around 8 drops with a dollop of serum in my PM routing, aiming to get around 5% niacinamide concentration. With this approach, the mixture was still a bit thin, but more controllable. I appreciate the fragrance-free formula, and I like the natural niacinamide scent. Generally, I didn't feel that this product was particularly irritating. However, sometimes when my skin was acting up, I found it stung a little when applied.I'm nearly to the end of my bottle now, and I will not repurchase. It is not that I don't think niacinamide is beneficial. Rather, it is much more practical for me to use a product that already contains the minimum effective percentage of niacinamide. That way I can better control the application, and I know I will never have a proportion error due to using product from a dropper bottle. Overall, I didn't see a significant improvement in my complexion--and I definitely didn't notice any pore-shrinking. Since my hyper-pigmentation is not PIH, it is possible niacinamide simply won't show a dramatic result for me.

Unfortunate side effects
from Brooklyn, NY
Similar to a few other reviews, I wanted desperately to like this product. I'm a huge fan of PC, but sadly this booster just wasn't for me. I began mixing two drops with my CeraVe PM lotion (which also contains niacinamide) at night. When my face became flaky and red, I didn't attribute it to the booster, since I've been using CeraVe moisturizers containing niacinamide for years. It wasn't until a trip to the dermatologist that I realized I had a sensitivity to the high concentration. I tried only using one drop and reduced use to every other night, but that still seemed to irritate my skin. My one star rating isn't based on the product's effectiveness, only my skin's reaction to it. For those who don't have a niacinamide sensitivity, I'm sure it works wonders.
