Fantastic Everyday Moisturizer That Doesn't Irritate!

About Me Brand Buyer
Comments about SKIN RECOVERY Lotion SPF 30 - 2 oz:
This has been my go-to sunscreen for several years, and I absolutely love it. It goes on smooth, gives my face a nice glow, and acts as a great makeup base as well. Getting it near your eyes isn't an issue as it doesn't sting or burn at all. Living in the South, sunscreen is an absolute must ever day of the year, but especially in the summer months. I wouldn't change a thing about this formula. I love that it contains peptides and other ingredients beneficial to my skin beyond just sun protection. I layer it on top of my BHA 2% lotion and my skin feels supple, soft and hydrated all day.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

best spf lotion i have ever used for my complicated skin
from Chicago, IL
i have very sensitive, break-out prone combination skin with rosacea. this is the best sunscreen i have ever used for my skin. you need to give it about 20 minutes to sink in before following it with make up (i think this addresses the reviews about it being sticky or leaving a white cast). put it on in the morning then make your coffee then apply your make up. i had been using the Calm Normal to Oily lotion with SPF for fear of breaking out, but this more moisturizing sensitive skin formula works much better for me

Did not work for me

About Me Budget Buyer
I was looking for a moisturizer to wear in the daytime, and since I have dry skin I thought this was ideal. I've been using Paula's products for the past few years and never had a problem. My face was moisturized for a few hours, and then it got dry and started peeling. I tried using it a few more times and the same thing happened (my face felt and looked dry and was peeling everywhere). I'm not sure why it did not work for me.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great for dry, sensitive skin!

I love this SPF moisturizer for everyday since it keeps me hydrated and protected from sun exposure all in one. This product is a little heavy at first, but with some patting and gently smoothing it in, my very dry, sensitive skin drinks it in. If you skin is oily or normal I would not recommend this product since you may feel it's "greasy" as my husband stated when I gave it to him to try. (He has normal/combination skin, so I can understand why he did not like its consistency.) For me, this luxurious soothing product works well and provides a subtle glow I had before "menopause dryness" set in at an early age. I tried the daily SPF in the Calm for dry skin line, and it was not nearly hydrating enough for my skin;but this one is!!! Of course this product is fragrance-free as are all PC products, but I do notice a slight scent initially which is most likely from the SPF. Fortunately this odor dissipates quickly so I can tolerate it with my allergies. Lastly, my skin turns red and becomes irritated so easily with a multitude of products, but I tolerate this one well, so I am very pleased. I alternate this daily spf with my other favorite daily spf, Josie Maran Daily SP 47. If your skin is dry or very dry like mine, this product is a must have!!

About Me Beauty Conscious
I bought this product as a replacement for the MOISTURE BOOST SPF 30. I like it but I find it to be a bit too heavy for a daytime moisturizer. It moisturizes fine but it is not ideal for wearing makeup on top of it. I don't wear foundation but I do conceal redness and apparent veins under the eyes and it feels like it is somewhat harder to blend. Overall, I like this product. But I still wish they wouldn't have discontinued the Moisture Boost line. To me, nothing compares to how good the daily moisturizer was.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery is amazing, as usual. Extremely fast.

I use this product on my face and neck every day -with or without makeup. It is the only broad-spectrum moisturizer with SPF that does not dry out my skin. I have been using this for about one year and I always have one new tube in reserve so I don't run out!! It moisturizes, works well under foundation and protects my skin. I apply a generous amount over toner and /or argan oil. I let it sink in for 10-12 minutes before applying foundation. LOVE! LOVE!

do not want to be without it
To me... this stuff is incredible. My skin type is dry, sensitive, with minor redness issues. If you are like me then I completely recommend this product. Some say it is greasy and I absolutely agree. It is. Do not buy if you are oily skinned or not decently dry. For me the best part is that my dry skin is glistening after use. If you are trying to decide between this sunscreen and the calm sunscreen for dry skin, get this one. I have used full size of both and this one is much better and does what I think the Calm sunscreen should do.. Moisturize and soothe. The Calm line for dry skin didn't moisturize me enough.I think this sunscreen has really helped my "moisture barrier" as my skin has improved in plumpness dramatically, redness has diminished, and I believe it is from getting the sun protection, moisture, and soothing properties.

HOLY GRAIL SUNSCREEN
So in the mornings after I wash my face, I go through the first steps of my skincare (toner, emulsion etc) and then I put on a thick moisturiser (because I like the dewy foundation look) and then I apply the sunscreen by dotting it all over my face then tapping it in (NOT RUBBING - NOT GOOD FOR SKIN). I make sure to wait a couple minutes in between so everything seeps in well but this sunscreen seeps in great and makes my skin look really dewy and healthy!I have an allergy to alot of sunscreens but this is the only sunscreen that I feel does the best job and looks great under make up.I used to use the Kosmea mineral sunscreen but that ones just too expensive, not much great ingredients and makes me get break outs. This sunscreen has great ingredients (antioxidants are a must with sunscreen) and I love the way it looks under make up and there is no white cast which is amazing seeing that it is a mineral sunscreenHighly recommend to anyone with sensitive skinbut remember to TAP it into your skin for best effect!
Sits on top of skin, poor performance under make-up

I really wanted this to work out because it is mineral-based and received excellent reviews for sensitive, dry skin. I used it for three consecutive weeks, but sadly it is not for me. My skin would not absorb it, so it's moisturizing components just sat on top of my skin creating a light oil layer over dry skin underneath. Even with my usual skin care routing, my skin got drier and drier and my foundation looked terrible (I have been using the same kind for three years). I started experiencing bumps and a several pimples on my cheeks and forehead (something I haven't had since high school). I switched to the PC SKIN BALANCING Ultra-Sheer Daily Defense sunscreen and my skin returned to normal and my make up stays put. Now, I am finishing the tube my using it on my neck and ears; no problem with the use there.

Great for sensitive skin & eyes but it's definitely greasy

About Me Beauty Expert
I switched over from chemical sunscreens to this because my sensitive skin felt a burning sensation whenever I'd use chemical sunscreens and they drove my eyes crazy. This, however, has NEVER given me any sort of irritation in the slightest! Even if I get it into my eyes there is no irritation whatsoever. I highly recommend this to those who have sensitive skin, especially sensitive and wet eyes that tend to tear up whenever you get skincare in them. Since switching to mineral sunscreens my acne has been better as well so I'm assuming that chemical sunscreens can cause a level of inflammation that can promote acne. Most shocking is that since switching over to this from the other PC sunscreen my skin looks better as though it is protecting my skin more than the chemical one even though I'm applying the same amount every day! My acne marks are healing more quickly. There is no noticeable white cast and the smell, at least to me, isn't as bad as other reviewers are letting it on to be. It has a faint cucumber lotion scent. I was contemplating whether to drop a star because this product is greasy. Like with a lot of mineral sunscreens it forms a barrier over your skin that does not fully absorb unless you have very...very dry skin. I have normal to dry skin. To combat this I switched to using powder foundations to blot up the excess oil and that has been working well :). Because of that I'll just leave it at five stars haha.
