    love-hate relationship
    • It does help my skin during the cold and dry days in New York city. I also love this moisturizer because I can apply it to the eye areas. But it contains too much silicon, I think, because when combining AHA and this one, I have a feeling like it does not absorb to skin. When I touch my face, I can feel the residua of the cream (or AHA)?!

    Favorite Moisturizer
    • This moisturizer makes my skin look so healthy without looking shiny. I have the worst combination of oily areas and dry crackling spots on my face. This feels so nourishing for my dry patches, yet has a velvety texture that leaves a mat finish so I don't look oily. It is on the heavy side but I find that it soaks into my skin nicely. I use it all over my face after toner and then wait a few minutes for it to set before I start my makeup. Then I just use it around my eyes before bed. Love.

    Great eye cream too
    • Since I have combination/oily skin, I use this moisturizer for just around my eyes in the morning. I use the skin recovery lotion around my eyes at night. It's bit more emollient which I like at night.

    Not Quite Right
    • This is the most moisturizing PC moisturizer I have tried that doesn't break me out, but it's not quite moisturizing enough for me. I've tried all but the new Clinical moisturizer, including the moisture mask. There is something in this one that irritates my skin if I have accidentally used too much retinol. A good product for when I don't use retinol.

    Eye Eczema Winner!
    • I bought this for myself and I find it ok as a winter moisturizer (as it is very dry here). However, I fell in love with what it did for my son's eye eczema (at least that's what we think he has). He has very itchy eyes triggered by environmental allergens and he rubs them often. We have tried numerous eye creams and lotions and none worked. Many caused irritation and stinging. In just one night, the patches were gone. We have to use regularly or it returns, but it has been a godsend!

    finally my skin feels hydrated!
    • I have been searching for over a year for a night cream I love that doesn't make my other evening serums ball up. With everything I have tried, even if the surface of my skin felt moisturized to the touch, I could't find something that quenched my skin's thirst. I have dehydrated, dry combination skin. This makes my skin plump, pillow soft and radiant! For the first time ever, I don't wake up with dehydration lines on my forehead and around my eyes! My search is over!

    Damage done
    • Since winter, my skin has been really dry so I looked to PC products. I had no issues with my skin until I put this moisturizer on. First I saw some blotchy red patches on my chin, high on my cheek, and near one of my temples. Later on in the evening I noticed my eyelids were purple and veins now showing. I immediately and carefully patted it off. Since then I've been freaking out that the integrity of my eyelids are ruined and sag more. Not eye-friendly.

    Not For Me
    • I really hate to give a bad rating to this moisturizer, but I have to be honest about my personal experience. I previously used a sample of this around my eyes as an eye cream. I actually liked the texture and the level of moisture. I noticed that I developed small bumps from a reaction to the cream. When I discontinued use, the problem stopped. I recently tried it again and had the same reaction with some itchy burning sensation. I gave two stars for texture, but this was a fail for me.

Who knew skin could feel so good?
    • I had no idea my face could feel good like this. Since using this (I layer it over the skin recovery serum) I've had no irritation, dry, scaly patches, no bumps, no breakouts. And it has no nauseating fragrance. I can use it twice a day when the temps drop without problem too. The price hurts even though a little goes far, but I feel like it is money well spent.

    Just OK
    • My skin is quite dry in the winter and pretty sensitive. This was ok, but I didn't love it. It wasn't as moisturizing or as soothing as I like. I'm having much better results with the Skin Recovery moisturizer, which I love.

Best under makeup moisturizer I've tried
    • I originally purchased this to use as an eye cream, but it isn't quite moisturizing enough for my winter under eyes. So, I've just been using it on my face and I do really enjoy it. It feels lovely, sinks right in, and doesn't leave my face feeling dry or greasy. I adore it under makeup. The downside (and the reason I wouldn't repurchase) is the price. I have a couple of other moisturizers I like as much that are at a much better price point.

    It's Ok, but I don't think I will repurchase...
    • I have very dry, thin and sensitive skin. This surely doesn't irritate it, but although it leaves a thick film on my skin, the hydration seems rather superficial and still requires a hyaluronic acid serum underneath... I would say it's pretty good at locking the moisture from a serum that was applied before... Also, unfortunately, I got some blackheads from using it. I can tell that for sure because they cleared out after I stopped using this cream for few days...

    My Skin Feels So Soft!
    • I love this product! I purchased it on a recommendation from a Paula's Choice expert. I have dry, acne prone skin that is sometimes sensitive. I apply this after using the Skin Recovery Serum, or sometimes by itself. It works wonders! The texture is so rich, and it feels very expensive! In the morning, I wake up with baby soft skin. I can even feel the softness when I wash my face! Even though it's really moisturizing, it doesn't break me out AT ALL. Even my BF has noticed how soft my skin feels

    Lovely.
    • I love that this moisturizer is simple and without retinol or other fancy stuff added to it--sometimes you just want the basics. My face feels adequately moisturized and is not greasy in the morning when I wake up. It could be a TAD heavier on moisture factor, but overall I like it.

another review and I don't like it...
    • I've tried this moisturizer for a couple of weeks with the Earth Sourced Moisturizer and I really can tell the difference between the two. I prefer the ES over this moisturizer because this does seem to clog my pores and I don't see any improvement. I will use it up for my hands and feet but won't order it again.

    Not enough
    • 2 things: 1) I was really surprised how small this product is, it looks like a travel size. 2) This is not moisturizing enough. My face feels tight in the morning, NOT what I want out of a night moisturizer. Is there a more moisturizing PC moisturizer? The Intense Repair sounded perfect until I read it has retinol in it. I have very dry, very sensitive skin. I already have the AHA gel (night), BHA liquid (day), and a retinol serum. I don't think my skin could handle another retinol product.

    is it my favorite?
    • I'm trying this cream after using the Skin Recovery Replenishing Moisturizer. It is lighter, glides easily on skin. It needs some massaging to sink into your skin. The feeling afterwards is nice, skin is soft and plump. It does have a shine which people with oily skin might not appreciate, but for my dry skin its fine. Do I like it better then Skin Recovery? It's just a different texture and has different benefits, so just try for yourself.

I want to take a bath in this stuff!!!
    • I have very sensitive, dry skin, and this stuff is a miracle-worker for me during the winter (or year-round, really). I live in a very dry climate, so my skin always feels dehydrated. The description listed under the product is completely accurate--my skin drinks it in. I also use it to soothe my skin when it gets irritated from the wind, acne treatments, or allergic reactions. This calms it right down. I love this stuff.

Amazing moisturizer for severly dry skin!
    • I have very dry and sensitive skin. Most moisturizers leave my skin feeling hydrated for 15 minutes and then it's as if I never applied anything. This product is very emollient (creates a barrier on your skin) without feeling sticky or unpleasant. I can still feel the product on my skin in the morning, after sleeping face down on a pillow. I will repurchase this product again in a heart beat. It is truly amazing and well formulated.

    • I love this product! It never irritated my skin and made it very soft and plumped. It also lasted a whole year! No odd smell, and it sinks in quickly. I switched to the Skin Recovery moisturizer this winter as it was not hydrating enough for the weather, but i will return to it once spring is back.

    Hydrates for Real!
    • I had a sample of this lying around for I don't know how long. One day I tried it and I'm hooked. I have SUPER dry rosacea skin and I used both Skin Recovery moisture and mask, neither really made a difference because they just sat on top of my skin like a wax. But this one works much better to my surprise. It penetrates and makes my face look soft and smooth like butta! I still do have to put (a simple petrolatum based) Eucerin Cream around my mouth though or I'll be flaky late in the day.

    Moisture Boost vs.
    • I ordered both the Moisture Boost Cream and the Recovery Cream. The Moisture Boost is my favorite; it feels wonderful going on, plumps the skin to eliminate wrinkles... and moisturizes beautifully. Both the Moisture Boost and Recovery are thick creams. The Recovery Cream feels a little more oily but less absorption (if that makes any sense. Love that the MB has niacinimide in it, which is something I also loved about my previous moisturizer. Great job, Paula!

    My skin is finally soft!
    • I don't have medical skin condition (such as eczema) but I do have very dry, tight feeling skin that is sometimes painful (winter). I have been using doctor recommended OTC creams for the past 20 years. Since using Paula's products (3 weeks), I can NOT stop touching my face! I never thought that "my" skin could feel so soft, so hydrated and so healthy. I'm going to show my doctor this cream (and my other PC products) as I know that these products can help other patients. Love this cream!

I have dry skin. Which Paula's Choice moisturizer should I use?

All our moisturizers address the needs of dry skin and make it feel soft and smooth. Resist Barrier Repair Moisturizer is our lightest cream, while Moisture Boost Hydrating Treatment Cream is richer because it contains more oil. Skin Recovery Moisturizer is our most "protective" moisturizer. The best way to determine which one to use is to sample them and see which texture you prefer.
