I'm in my late 30's, have always struggled with acne, but then recently moved to a desert climate, so now I'm struggling with dry skin as well. This has been an amazing add on to my skin care--I don't break out, it exfoliates, doesn't dry out my skin, and my acne scars and wrinkles are fading! I use it at night, the 2% BHA I use during the day, and my skin is beautiful. I've stopped using foundation, just the Barely There tint with spf, because really, now that's all I need!

I've been using Alpha Hydroxy products for a while on my 50+skin but these two products work much better for me. The texture is nice and light and doesn't break out my skin and after using for only a few days I saw great results. My skin seemed smoother, and fine lines and wrinkles had plumped up and looked much less noticable. My once-oily skin that is now part-dry and part-oily did not break out at all. Really recommend this.

I cannot believe how well this system works! I have only used the weekly treatment once and the dark spots on my forehead lightened severely! I was not expecting that. I have really dry skin and live in a high desert climate. Something in the resist line bugs my skin. I have tried using it on 3 different occasions for a few days each time. I got weird almost blister like patches. I do not have this reaction to other PC AHA products or moisturizers. I am uncertain which caused the reaction (moisturizer or smoother or resurfacer) because I was unwilling to keep having this reaction. When it happened once I thought other things may have been happening. I put it away for months and then tried again. Why the third try? I guess I am stubborn and unaccepting that my skin wouldn't get the amazing boost. I bought the products over a year ago. I am sticking with other skin care products in the PC line.

Everything I know about exfoliation and its importance I learned here on Paula's website. I had never used an exfoliant before. What a difference it makes!! My skin is brighter and looks so much healthier since I began using this system. I had to start off slow with it however. In the beginning, everyday use was uncomfortable. So, I opted to use every other day till my skin became used to it. Now I use it everyday and the 10% on the weekends. If you have not been exfoliating.. you are missing the biggest superhero of your regimine! Brighter skin, more radiant, and it looks healthier. The greatest advantage of this system is that it helps all the retinols and other products to penetrate your skin and work their magic! Thanks again Paula, I am in love with your products.

This product has been a dream come true. My skin was so flaky I would even say parts were even scaly. It was awful and my makeup looked terrible too of course. Now I have no flakes. I experienced no adverse reaction and my skin can be sensitive. More moisturizer is not the answer. This is!

My boyfriend and I have been using this for over 2 months now. We were hoping that it would help to reduce his wrinkles and to make us both look more youthful. At first, we thought it was actually working, but now it's pretty obvious that it was just wishful thinking. We haven't seen a difference. In fact, I found a new wrinkle on him! I'm not sure if AHA is right for us. I had ordered the 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant sample and it did wonders for me overnight, so I'll try ordering a bottle of that once we're through with this. I don't know if I just need more time to adjust, but these products still sting a little to use (not outrageously painful or anything, but definitely stronger than just a tingle), and don't really seem to be doing anything. I also don't really understand how to put on the weekly resurfacing treatment. It's got the viscosity of water; how am I supposed to realistically measure out a dime-sized amount, and then get all that product from my cupped palm to my face, in an even layer? I just slap it on and try to spread it as fast as I can, but it's suboptimal, as application methods go. That said, I will keep using this set and see if time gives me better results and less sting. It seems you are having trouble figuring out how to apply the RESIST 10% AHA: its liquid formula is what gives it its potency, and you may apply it with a cotton pad, or dispense into your palm, smooth your hands together to dispense and them smooth over your face to apply! All of Paula's skin care products have been really great for me. I use the Resist line and am thrilled with the results but I especially love the Weekly Skin Resurfacing Lotion. I use it twice weekly and although my skin looks wonderful I can see even more improvement the next day. I highly recommend this line and this product.

I have been using this product in over 2 months now... and I can honestly say that I do not notice a difference besides having more dryness of skin. But of course that is to be expected with these products. I still have wrinkles and dark spots that wont fade. But I will continue to use this until the bottles are empty. this is not bad, unfortunately, it does ball out if i pair it with the AHA Lightening Lotion Customer Care Response: Thank you for your comments. When using both products at the same time, if applied over the entire face, this can cause irritation. If the textures together are balling up it may be due to how you are applying them. This was the first PC products I have ever used and I must say, they are nothing short of a miracle. I am in my early 30s, have had acne since my teens, have tried EVERYTHING and nothing has ever worked as quickly or as effectively. My skin has improved incredibly in just over a week's time - the texture 1000x smoother (I was also using a scrub most days - I have tough skin), my breakouts are less, and hyperpigmentation (my biggest issue) has dramatically lessened. And so affordable! Trust me, I've spent thousands of dollars on Rx creams as well as the best designer serums and PC is the best by far. The daily smoothing treatment smells like Mr. Bubbles which is such a treat lol! My only issue is that the pump for the daily smoothing treatment was broken upon arrival of my package and I have to shake the product towards the top in order to pump it out. I do love this system, I've been using for a long time, along with the BHA 2% liquid alternating depending on how much congestion I have. I am a licensed Esthetician and love PC products, I do have to disagree with daily exfoliation though, in my opinion and personal/professional experiences it's too much. Everyone's skin is different, but PC products are a good choice.Love having access to product reviews and have referred many clients to Paula's Choice..

Oh my gosh, it's a slippery slope! You start with just one PC product and love it so much that you try another, and another, and before you know it the only thing more impressive than your collection of PC products is your FLAWLESS skin! These two exfoliants are just wonderful for tackling sun damage, fine lines and dullness. I use the 2% BHA gel at night and alternate with the 10% Weekly AHA about 2 or 3x per week. I use the 5% daily AHA during the daytime and it has a beautiful, silky texture that absorbs quickly with a matte finish and works REALLY well under makeup.

I'm just a wash and sunscreen girl, but my skin was looking a little ...well-old in a word. I have used the 5% every day for 14 days and the 10% treatment twice. It has made such a huge difference in the clarity and texture of my skin already. I never expected a couple of products to make this big of a difference in such a short time. Wish I tried this years ago, but so glad that I am using them now. One recommendation? Be cautious w/ the 10% once a week tx the first time you use it--I only left it on for about 10 minutes and it was plenty enough time to work. Since my skin isn't used to exfolients I erred on the conservative and am glad I did. I will leave it on a bit longer as time goes on-but for now, I saw just a little bit of a peel soon after. I use this at night and that seems to be working great. I follow this treatmentw/ a nightime moisturizer. Will try the barrier repair soon, too. All of the PC Resist Line is nothing short of amazing! Like the previous review, I too, was a 'scrub' girl. I have been using skin care products for many years. I am 54. I have never had the results of ANY product like I have had with the AHA exfoliants. I had a problem with the cap on the Daily and I was afraid to return it because I didn't want to be without it! Turns out Paula backs up her products with a 100% Guarantee. I didn't have to return the damaged one! They quickly sent me a replacement! That in itself is amazing to me. But, back to the Daily Treatment... If you can not buy anything else make sure you at least get the Treatment System! It will change your skin from night to day! OVERNIGHT! I have tough skin.. but if you are sensitive, just back off using it everyday until your skin adjusts to it. My skin was even red in the beginning, but now I use the daily everyday and I use the weekly 2x a week! My skin never got compliments before! I get them all the time now. I can see and feel the difference PC products have made on my face and neck and even the tops of my hands!! My daughter is a PC girl now, because she has SEEN the difference! So stick with it, form a routine, you won't be sorry!!! :)

My skin has never looked better! I used to use manual exfoliation not understanding what damage scrubbing does to the tender skin on my face. I always thought a good scrub was the only way to smooth skin, but I am a changed woman. These chemical exfoliants have changed my skin. I used to get occasional breakouts and cystic acne and haven't suffered since making the switch. Thank you Paula's Choice!!!

I so wanted to love these products, but they just didn't do the trick. I love everything Paula except these items. Unfortunately, they simply didn't agree with my skin; breakouts became worse. I really liked (most) of the results of this skin care system: skin looked brighter and more radiant. After four weeks of use, however, I had to discontinue due to a persistent break out along my forehead. Although I had read reviews that had expressed a few problems with a break out, I didn't foresee this would be an issue for me since my skin tends to break out when I am pregnant (which I am currently not) and then around my mouth. I read all the reviews and thought this sounded like the perfect product for a 62 year old dealing with forehead wrinkles and wrinkles around the mouth. I have been using this product for almost two weeks and find the wrinkles are worse! Plus, this stings my skin. All the products I have from Paula's Choice I love, except this one. I bought the skin resurfacing and smoothing system. Neither of the two products were nice to me. I feel like my lines are deeper and more pronounced now. I hesitated to buy these products because I have very sensitive skin and rosacea on my cheeks. I started by using the Daily Smoothing Treatment every other day, avoiding my cheeks. After about two weeks, I could use it daily with no problems. Next I tried the Weekly product and had no irritation at all. These leave my skin soft, smooth and with a definite sparkle, but with NO irritation. Great products! Thanks Paula!

Oh how I wish I had bought these two together sooner. I use just as directed and in one week, boom major improvement. My skin texture and tone is more youthful. They don't give me breakouts or irritate my super-sensitive skin.
