The product dries my face: at the end of the day, my face is burning and I overproduce sebum. I'm not sure why it is not working for me, since I have read a lot of positive reviews. All other products I have ordered from PC were great (2% salicilic acid, benzoyl peroxyd 5%). Maybe I have failed to identify correctly my skin type. Maybe another product would suit me better.

It was my first time trying this product. I NEVER break out. First day after using this my whole face broke out.

I bought samples and read reviews over and over before making my purchased on PC. This product got so many great reviews and the one that I really liked is someone posted it was a great primer as well. Although the description says it is not greasy or slick...this is very sticky, it's a gel and was so heavy on my skin. I did use it on top of makeup to smooth out and that is the primer part, but it did not work for me as a moisturizer.

This is stuff is just fabulous. I have combo skin that is on the oily side, and omg this product improves my pore size, fine lines (completely non-irritating even around the eyes!), supple but matte.. I could go on and on. Plus it is supposed to stimulate collagen production, and at 32 I'm very invested in taking care of my skin. Have been using this for months, it is the holy grail of non-SPF moisturizers.

I have tried every face moisturizer on the market. I have highly sensitive skin and this product is the only product that makes my skin feel normal. It reduces the redness in my face and balances my skin tone. It moisturizes just enough in all seasons that I have not had to buy a heavier lotion in the winter. (I have oily/combo skin) My skin has never felt better.

I consider myself to have normal (mostly) to dry (seasonally) skin and usually orient myself to products that are more emollient that contain a heftier amount of oils. However, this product is a powerhouse gem chock full of fab ingredients. Despite its gel texture, this has not dried me out. Love!

I have extremely oily skin and acne. Before my dermatologist prescribed Differin and Benzaclin, my skin never really felt dry, but the prescription acne medicines really suck the moisture out of your skin right after you apply them. Skin Balancing Moisture Gel feels so soothing, yet non-greasy and doesn't clog my pores or irritate the skin around my eyes. (I am very careful to keep the acne medicines away from there, but that area can still use some extra moisture and antioxidants.)

I've never liked using moisturizers. Between the shine, breakouts, and irritation there was NO benefit for me. So I wasn't expecting to use this much, maybe every now and again during dry windy weather. However, when giving the whole SB line a shot I was amazed at this moisturizer. It feels like a magical combination of makeup primer, cooling salve, and moisturizer in one. What's more, my oily skin became less oily - likely because my skin wasn't trying to over compensate for lack of moisture.

I'm really glad I bought sample sizes of this product first. I have combination/oily skin pretty much year round, and I tried this, hoping it would solve all my oily-skin problem woes. It went on nicely, and seemed to have a nice matte finish. But I was oilier than before; my makeup just would not stay put, my face felt and looked SO greasy, it was unreal. I tried to play around with it, but I just can't use this. I also broke out from this product.

This is probably the only moisturizer I can put around my eyes and not get stinging or teary eyes. I love the fact that it's silky with no oily texture AND I can tell the difference right away when I use it. I put this both under my eyes and on my eyelids. It's great at room temperature, and if you really want a treat, put it in the refridgerator before you use it. Feels great!

I loved my Skin Balancing Daily Mattifying Lotion so I ordered another bottle and wanted to give the Moisture Gel a try since I didn't want to use the SPF (in the Mattifying Lotion) at night. Well, my package never arrived and when I contacted Customer Service, they immediately sent over a replacement. I received my lotions within a week and I am SO IN LOVE with the lotion and the gel and Paula's great customer service. (Thank you Marlene and Maritza!)

I love the matte finish of this gel moisturizer. It does what it says. My combination skin is no longer oily nor dry. It doesn't make me breakout and the hyper-pigmentation from past blemishes are fading. I only gave it 4 stars for two reasons. The first is that it claims that it's ideal for use around the eyes. However, it makes my eyes water sometimes when I apply it too close to my eyes. The second, is that I've used this daily for a month now and I'm already running out.

I really liked the texture of this light lotion and I think it will be perfect for my face in the summer. I would give more stars, except for one problem - this moisturizer seriously irritated my eye area. Red, puffy eyes that would tear up for about 15 minutes after application. I'll definitely need a separate eye cream when using this. Other than that issue, I loved the formula.

I made the mistake and ordered the Hydralight Lotion thinking I would like that even more but the water like lotion is not a favourite and the smell :S. Skin Balancing is by far the best and most gentle for my skin and the thick gel texture is a lot nicer. The only thing I do not like is how little of moisturizer you get. PLEASE MAKE BIGGER SIZE at least 3oz. THANKS TEAM PAULA!!!!!!

This is the perfect daytime moisturizer for me. It makes my skin so smooth with just enough added moisture. It helps keep my skin matte all day. Lightweight, non-greasy, and nonirritating. Perfect for oily-combo skin types. I highly recommend this to anyone who is on the fence about it. I really don't think you'll regret it!

I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful this product is. I have cystic acne/blemish prone skin (which the CLEAR line has done WONDERS for) and I just started using this moisturizer as well because although the other products were working, they were very drying. This fixed the problem completely, and left my skin looking BEAUTIFUL. I have been getting so many compliments on my face. It leaves your skin looking matte and fabulous, as well as hydrated and feeling great. My only complaint is that they don't sell it in larger quantities as I want so much more! In summary: Thank you Paula :)

If you have acne prone/combination skin this is the moisturizer for you. It's matte finish is perfect under a foundation and it does not clog your pores and feels weightless.

This product deserves 10 stars... it is truly an amazing find for anyone who suffers with oily skin. I have used it for 4 days now and love the weightless feel to it. I can't wait to use this in the summertime. Order it... you will not be dissapointed!

i'm in my early 30s and i've always had acne prone skin but this moisturizing in combination with the 2% bha liquid is not hydrating enough. but if i weren't using those treatments this would probably be just fine. i love that you can also use the moisturizers around the eyes. I'm going to try the next line for moisturizer and see how that goes. This is my first time using PC and its pretty awesome so far.

I'm pretty sure this has been my favorite PC product for over 8 years now. When I first discovered paula's products I had horrible acne that would leave scars. This product has been making my skin beautiful for years. Please don't ever reformulate or discontinue.

This gel moisturizer has worked very well for me. It is a gel, but its not sticky or tacky and glides on very smoothly. I do have very oily skin, and I apply this moisturizer at night. When I wake up the next morning, my skin is still matte and it feels very soft. This feel moisturizing enough for normal/oily skin types. The bottle looks small, but it has lasted me for months since you don't need to use a lot to cover your whole face. I highly recommend this moisturizer if you need a smooth and light night time moisturizer.

I have been using Skin Balancing Moisture Gel for at least 2 years (maybe longer) and Love it! I am 51 yrs old, but have combination skin so this is the perfect moisturizer for me. I also use as my eye cream every morning and night. It goes on like silk and my skin never feels greasy. I use it over the Resist 5% smoothing treatment. Here's a tip- when you think you're out, cut off the end of the tube and you have at least a week's left of product! Paula's Choice Rocks!

This is the only moisturizer I've found that I like. And I hardly have to use any, so this bottle will last a long time (even though it seems really pricey for the size). It's super silky and smooth, not greasy at all, and it's perfect to use before putting on my makeup in the morning. I use it with the extra strength acne treatment system and have had amazing results after a little over a month of use. Thanks Paula!!
