Doesn't last. :/
I got a sample of this to try out instead of my usual CeraVe Moisturizing Cream, but this is not nearly as effective as CeraVe, even with twice daily use. Within a few hours, my skin felt tight and dry. It also still makes the sides of my nose burn, and I am trying to figure out if it's the fatty alcohols.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I wish I didn't have a reaction to it
from San Diego
My friend had suggested I used this moisturizer while undergoing Retin-A treatment. She bought a tube of it for me. It worked wonders to help with the resulting peeling and dryness associated with the Retin-A. This was my first time ever using Retin-A and did not know what to expect.Soon after I begin to notice the skin around my eyes, especially my eyelids, became irritated and itchy and scaly. I attributed to the retin-a since it was the only harsh product I was using. I stopped using retin-a, but the irritation continued. I figured it was because I was still dealing with the damage done. I continued to use this moisturizer until I ran out. At one point, I just switched to using Aquafor to calm it down, which worked.I used another moisturizer for about a month and the eye irritation went away. I remembered how much I loved this moisturizer so I ordered it myself this time from this website. I never attributed my eye irritation to this product. Fast forward to only 3 days using it, and I have the same eye irritation issues as before. This time, I cannot blame retin-a as I have not been using it for months. This is unfortunate because I really like how the rest of my skin feels. I would still recommend it, but tell them about my experience with it. I don't normally have this kinds of reaction to anything I use. I will as far as saying the skin on my face is not sensitive.

As someone with sensitive, dry skin I love this!
from Modesto, CA
As someone with dry and sensitive skin, I really needed something gentle that also deeply moisturizes my skin. Lucky for me, this has both those qualities. I have tried a lot of moisturizers and, strangely, a lot of moisturizers break me out (I very rarely get acne if it isn't a reaction to a product I am using, like one pimple a year maximum), or feel too heavy and greasy, or just simply aren't moisturizing enough.I use this 5-6 nights a week as my nighttime moisturizer and then the other two nights, I use one with retinol in it. I was using a retinol cream every night, but find I can't use my exfoliant with a retinol cream or my face will peel, but not with this moisturizer, thankfully. I exfoliate twice a week and put a day or two between using my exfoliant and using my retinol cream. So far, so good. Glad I found this!

About Me Minimalist
i wanted to love this, and i did, it's so moisturizing and smooth and makes your skin so soft, but i think it's too heavy for my skin, which is normal to dry, it may be the culprit for some blemishes, since i used it for two weeks, then noticed a deep pimple, stopped for a few weeks, then began again and again after a week or two, another deep pimple. So i think ill stop using it.

I have extreme combo skin with dry patches on my cheeks and an oily T-zone. At night, I need a good moisturizer to bring my cheeks into balance. My criteria are: no petrolatum or mineral oil, fragrance-free, non-irritating, must last all night. Most of PCs emollient night creams meet my first 3 criteria, but I've been having a heck of a time finding one that lasts through the night. Unfortunately, Skin Recover Moisturizer was one that lacked longevity on my skin, even when liberally applied. The product is a white cream with an inoffensive scent. It is very rich, slightly stiff in consistency, but spreads easily. When first applied, it feels very soothing and moisturizing. Halfway though the night, I can feel that it has started to "fade" in terms of keeping my cheeks hydrated. By the morning, my cheeks feel dry and tight, and slightly irritated. I get much better results with drugstore creams such as CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream or Cetaphil Eczema Calming Body Moisturizer.

The best I've found for dry, sensitive skin
from Santa Cruz, CA
This is the best moisturizer I have ever used for my dry, sensitive skin. I mix it with the Clinical Retinol 1%, put it over top of one of Paula's AHA products, and sometimes layer it under my sunscreen during the day. I've even found that it even helps the occasional breakout heal faster. It is very emollient and absorbs quickly. I have better skin at 28 than I did at 22 thanks to using Paula's products for the past 3 years!

I went through a tube of both the Skin Recovery and Moisture Boost lotions, and found them interchangeable in terms of how well moisturized my skin felt afterwards, which was barely. They absorb within a few minutes and leave your skin feeling almost just as dry as before. I'm looking for something that will keep my skin feeling soft and dewy for at least a few hours. Perhaps some of the ingredients in the Paula's Choice products are good for my skin in the long term, but the short-term effect is disappointing.

A bit disappointed,,,,
from London, UK
I use the product twice a day, evenings and mornings. I had a really high hopes for the cream as I have a very dry skin. I've been using it now long enough to be able to say it doesn't work for me at all. It absorbs quickly but after an hour or two it feels like I haven't put anything on my skin. My skin becomes tight again and the feel of it just isn't nice. The cream is very expensive comparing to the one I was using before (Garnier Skin Moisture Match Goodbye) and I'm sad to say this, but the two can't compare, price wise and the result wise. I really wish this worked for me :(

Not too emollient enough for me.
My skin is on the dry side of normal, which seemed right for this lotion. Though my face doesn't feel dry after using this, it doesn't make me feel moisturized, perhaps because of the not-quite-right (for me) consistency. This moisturizer feels thick but somehow dry -- it absorbs almost immediately into skin and isn't at all emollient. Oddly, I feel like I can't get enough of it, yet I know I'm using plenty of product. I like my evening moisturizer to be soft and very emollient, so I can lightly massage my skin as I rub it in. This doesn't let me do that at all, which could certainly appeal to some people, but it's not for me. Perhaps this would be a nice cream for oily-to-combination skin, but my dry-ish skin isn't loving it at all.
