About Me Minimalist
Comments about SKIN RECOVERY Moisturizer - 2 oz:
i wanted to love this, and i did, it's so moisturizing and smooth and makes your skin so soft, but i think it's too heavy for my skin, which is normal to dry, it may be the culprit for some blemishes, since i used it for two weeks, then noticed a deep pimple, stopped for a few weeks, then began again and again after a week or two, another deep pimple. So i think ill stop using it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have extreme combo skin with dry patches on my cheeks and an oily T-zone. At night, I need a good moisturizer to bring my cheeks into balance. My criteria are: no petrolatum or mineral oil, fragrance-free, non-irritating, must last all night. Most of PCs emollient night creams meet my first 3 criteria, but I've been having a heck of a time finding one that lasts through the night. Unfortunately, Skin Recover Moisturizer was one that lacked longevity on my skin, even when liberally applied. The product is a white cream with an inoffensive scent. It is very rich, slightly stiff in consistency, but spreads easily. When first applied, it feels very soothing and moisturizing. Halfway though the night, I can feel that it has started to "fade" in terms of keeping my cheeks hydrated. By the morning, my cheeks feel dry and tight, and slightly irritated. I get much better results with drugstore creams such as CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream or Cetaphil Eczema Calming Body Moisturizer.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The best I've found for dry, sensitive skin
from Santa Cruz, CA
About Me Beauty Conscious
This is the best moisturizer I have ever used for my dry, sensitive skin. I mix it with the Clinical Retinol 1%, put it over top of one of Paula's AHA products, and sometimes layer it under my sunscreen during the day. I've even found that it even helps the occasional breakout heal faster. It is very emollient and absorbs quickly. I have better skin at 28 than I did at 22 thanks to using Paula's products for the past 3 years!

I went through a tube of both the Skin Recovery and Moisture Boost lotions, and found them interchangeable in terms of how well moisturized my skin felt afterwards, which was barely. They absorb within a few minutes and leave your skin feeling almost just as dry as before. I'm looking for something that will keep my skin feeling soft and dewy for at least a few hours. Perhaps some of the ingredients in the Paula's Choice products are good for my skin in the long term, but the short-term effect is disappointing.

A bit disappointed,,,,
from London, UK
I use the product twice a day, evenings and mornings. I had a really high hopes for the cream as I have a very dry skin. I've been using it now long enough to be able to say it doesn't work for me at all. It absorbs quickly but after an hour or two it feels like I haven't put anything on my skin. My skin becomes tight again and the feel of it just isn't nice. The cream is very expensive comparing to the one I was using before (Garnier Skin Moisture Match Goodbye) and I'm sad to say this, but the two can't compare, price wise and the result wise. I really wish this worked for me :(

Not too emollient enough for me.
My skin is on the dry side of normal, which seemed right for this lotion. Though my face doesn't feel dry after using this, it doesn't make me feel moisturized, perhaps because of the not-quite-right (for me) consistency. This moisturizer feels thick but somehow dry -- it absorbs almost immediately into skin and isn't at all emollient. Oddly, I feel like I can't get enough of it, yet I know I'm using plenty of product. I like my evening moisturizer to be soft and very emollient, so I can lightly massage my skin as I rub it in. This doesn't let me do that at all, which could certainly appeal to some people, but it's not for me. Perhaps this would be a nice cream for oily-to-combination skin, but my dry-ish skin isn't loving it at all.

I am fair complected with dry sensitive skin with redness and rosacea. I also have issues with perioral dermatitus. Most moisurizers either don't cut it and/or make me break out. This product has restored my skin to a soft smooth complection. I don't see a big difference with redness so I'm going to try some of the Calm line next. I'm thankful for PC products and think you have a customer for life.

Works great & a little goes a long way, but it is very small
About Me Beauty Conscious, Minimalist
I use this product twice a day, once in the morning and once again before I go to bed. I find that it lasts me the whole day. I haven't used the SPF version of this, but I am thinking of buying that as well. I use the Resist cleanser, Skin Recovery toner, Redness Relief exfoliant, and finish with this moisturizer. Saw results almost immediately, honestly. I've been holding off from purchasing Paula's Choice products for a year or two now because of the price (as I am a broke college student), but it is definitely a great investment! Early high school days had me smothering my skin in cheap irritating foundation, and I sensitized my skin as a result. I stopped wearing skin makeup and moisturized everyday with a different brand for two years now and my skin has improved steadily, but not at the rate seen with this. I have almost no redness anymore, my skin is not bumpy, and I usually react to everything due to my extra sensitive skin, but not with this product. It hydrates, doesn't leave a greasy finish, wears well under makeup, and my skin is so smooth and silky afterwards. Only con is the small size! I fly often so the 2.2 oz size is good for traveling, but I would like a bigger version as well (though a little amount of this product does go a long way).

Not Moisturizing Enough for Dry Skin
from Seattle, WA
This product claims to be for Dry/Very Dry skin, but I found it not at all moisturizing enough. I have dry skin (not very dry), and this did not provide nearly enough hydration. I had to use a lot of this every night so I went through the 2oz bottle quickly. On the plus side, it did not irritate my acne-prone skin. I had high hopes for this but I am going back to the Moisture Boost cream.
I use after each facial cleaning. I can add my makeup immediately after use. I have been using this product for years. Many think I am 12-15 years younger than my age and I believe it is because I hydrate twice a day after washing my face. Thanks Paula's Choice.
