    Great for everyday liner looks!
    • I love the texture and size of this brush! I use it wet with powder liner to line close to the lash line for a subtle everyday look. One reviewer mentioned it not being as "pointy" as it looks in the picture. I agree, but as I use it wet it becomes more narrow and precise. So far the brush has held up well and I rinse it after each use. When I want a more smoky or dramatic look, I follow the everyday liner step with another application using Paula's precision liner brush--maybe adding a bit of cat eye or smoky look. Love both brushes!!

    Favorite Eyeliner Brush!
    • I have tried many types of eyeliner brush, and this is my favorite hands down. It applies cake, gel, and creme eyeliner with a level of precision and control I haven't found elsewhere. It's perfect for tightlining (pushing eyeliner directly between roots of lashes). I've had this brush for over a year and it's held up perfectly to weekly washing, with absolutely no shedding. The only con I can think of is that the gold lettering on the handle does rub off if it gets wet. This brush is best for those who want a very fine, precise line. The only people I would not recommend it to are those who like a thicker. bolder line of eyeliner.

    Not thin enough.
    • While the picture makes it look very thin and pointed, it is not. i use cake eyeliner and had to send it back. Customer Care Response: We're sorry you were not happy with the eyeliner brush; you are welcome to check out Paula's suggestions at Beautypedia to see if you find another brush that you like better from another brand. Awesome brush!
    • This is the best brush for gel liner by far! Use it for top lid application. Precise and can easily adjust thickness of liner.

    Not what I expected
    • While this brush works fine for filling in the lash line, I would not recommend it for creating a line above the lash line. The brush is more like a very thin paintbrush - I was expecting a thicker slanted brush. If you are going for an extremely natural look or just trying to fill in between the lashes this may work for you but it was not what I expected. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. We will certainly pass along your comments and feedback about the brush to Paula! Feel free to check out other brush options at: www.beautypedia.com. Please contact customer care with any questions.

No more Paula's Choice eye liner?
    • I recently bought a second one of these just because I like it so much. It makes it easy to apply the Paula's Choice eyeliner, which has a pretty annoying waxy consistency. But since her eyeliner has grown on me (mostly because it stays put really well), so has this brush....You can imagine my shock when I saw that Paula's eyeliner is no longer for sale. I was just about to restcck. Bummer!

    Perfect Painting!!
    • L use Russian sable brushes for decorative painting, and with care, they last for years. After having gone through 3 liner brushes (of a very popular B B brand) which were heavy for gel, in 3 years, the art supply store was a temporary answer until trying Paula's. This brush is the perfect answer...size and price.

    Very flimsy
    • Both times I bought this brush, it broke in half and bristles fell out within a month. I had much better luck at Sephora. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about your experience with this brush. We will definitely note this with our Quality Control Team as this is not something we have heard of happening with this brush and in the meantime have credited you for the product. We are happy to hear you have found another brush! Please contact customer care with any questions.

    Perfect
    • I bought this brush to use with expensive eyeliner gel, I kept the brush and returned the eyeliner. Found my plain old Almay liquid eyeliner works just fine with the right tool.

    • I absolutely love this brush, have never found another brush that will make such a fine line. I love gel eyeliner but I want a very fine line both top and bottom of my lids and this does it perfect.

    Perfect for gel eyeliners
    • I didn't like Paula's gel eyeliner at all - inferior in every way to Bobbi Brown - but this eyeliner brush is perfect for the gel eyeliners. Way better than the angled thing that Bobbi Brown suggests, which leaves a big thick line. If you use gel eyeliner, buy this brush.

What makes this product unique?
Eyeliner Brush will redefine the way you apply eyeliner. The soft, fine-tipped point is ideal for creating a thin, controlled line and works beautifully for upper and lower lash lines. The flexible bristles make it easy to follow the curvature of the eye, unlike many other eyeliner products that are too scratchy, stiff or soft to create a smooth look. The Eyeliner Brush can be used wet with a powder eyeshadow for a dramatic effect or dry for a softer, more casual look. It works great with any cream or gel eyeliner, too!

Measures 6 inches long from handle tip to brush head.

Who is this product for?
Paula's Choice Eyeliner Brush is ideal for anyone that uses cream, gel, or powder eyeliner.

DIRECTIONS: Gently stroke the brush through eyeshadow or cream/gel liner color of your choice, keeping the bristles together and moving the brush in the direction of the bristles (knock any excess powder eyeshadow from the brush). Carefully apply the color from inner to outer corner of the upper lash line. Repeat this step for the lower lashline, but do not line all the way across the eye. Rather, stop just before reaching the inner third of the lower lashline, and make sure your line fades gradually.

How many brushes do I need?

Your choice of brushes is determined by how you apply your makeup. An elaborate, nuanced makeup application would typically involve a variety of brushes. Conversely, a minimal and/or basic makeup application requires fewer brushes. The general rule to follow is that the size of the brush should match (or correspond with) the size of the area you are working on. It is best to avoid using the same brush for applying both lighter and darker colors.

When should I replace my brushes?

Replace them if they become misshapen, frayed, or start shedding excessively, or if the brush handle becomes loose or splintered.

How can the brushes be high quality yet reasonably priced?

The fact is even the best, most luxurious makeup brushes are not costly to make. Our brushes are customized for us from a major supplier and we buy in bulk, which keeps the cost to you down.

What are Paula's Choice brushes made of?

The handles are wood and our brushes feature natural hair, except for the Concealer Brush, Blush Brush, Powder Brush, and Precision Liner Brush, which are made of synthetic hair.
