    The Best
    • I've owned this set of brushes for 4 years and it's the only set of brushes I use. It's great for travel as well as home because the handles are mini, not the brushes themselves. I love these!

Very nice product and a good value
    • I have small hands and also like to be close to the mirror, so only use mini brushes like these. I put these in my travel case (I travel all the time) and those are the times when I usually need my makeup to be at its best. I actually like them better than my MAC mini brushes, which are my 'at home' brushes (I'd only rate those three stars). I echo the excellence of the liner and eye shadow brushes. I also happen to really like the blush brush. Would be nice if powder blush were bigger/fluffier but wouldn't travel as well. I would also have liked a lip brush included, rather than having to add one by separate purchase. The case is good, but has developed a wrinkle that puts a bit of a dent in the brush hairs over time. A quick rinse and air dry over night fixes that. If you are looking for a set of small brushes, you really can't go wrong with these.

Wonderful High Quality Brushes! Great Price!
    • For the quality of these brushes, the price is fantastic. I bought the travel kit because I could get most of the brushes I wanted for a great price. Also, I'm in medical school, so I don't have a ton of money or space. This way, I get great brushes for application at home or on the go! I agree with the other nearsighted reviewer who said these are nice for getting close to the mirror! I wear glasses, so I'm still a little bleary-eyed when I put my makeup on in the morning. These brushes are great!

    Quality Item, Love the Size
    • Very handy set of brushes in a well-designed case. I especially like the eye shadow and liner brushes as they precisely apply product (surprisingly well for their small size!). The blush and powder brushes are just Ok for me, because I prefer a larger kabuki-style for face powder and a more rounded, fuller and tighter-packed blush brush... and the ones is this kit will do in a pinch/for touch-ups as they're much smaller to carry than full-sized brushes. The well-designed carry case holds all the brushes and I recommend this item for anyone wanting a very small-sized, convenient, set of great eye and OK blush/face brushes. The brushes themselves are well-made and soft; and the case is sturdy, light, and can be wiped clean if needed. The velcro closure keeps all the brushes in place, a nice bonus.I've added this set to my smallest travel make-up kit, and they'd also fit well in a purse-sized cosmetic bag for ladies who do touch-ups during the day. Thx to Paula for this quality item!

    Mini Brush Set
    • This set is great for anyone who is nearsighted and is tired of poking themselves in the eyes with brushes that have full sized handles. You can get up close to the mirror and accurately put on your makeup, especially in the eye area.

Who is this product for?
The Mini Brush Set is great for anyone that wears makeup, especially those who are on-the-go, travel frequently, or like the convenience of being able to take their brushes with them anywhere.

Mini Powder Brush:
DIRECTIONS: Gently place the tip of the brush onto the powder, picking up a small amount and knocking off any excess (if necessary). Stroke over face using short, downward strokes, following the natural contours of the face. For the smoothest finish, avoid applying powder in a brisk back-and-forth or up-and-down motion.

Mini Blush Brush:
DIRECTIONS: Gently stroke the brush in one direction over your powder blush, being careful to not pick up too much color. If needed, knock off excess color before applying. Sweep color across the entire cheekbone, starting the color one-quarter to one-half inch beyond the laugh line. Brush downward and back toward the center of your ear, being careful not to place color below the level of the mouth. Applying blush downward instead of brushing back and forth avoids a striped appearance.

Mini Large Eyeshadow Brush:
DIRECTIONS: Gently wipe the flat part of the brush over your powder eyeshadow, being sure to knock off any excess shadow from the brush, and apply with long, stroking motions across the eyelid, crease, and/or under-brow area, depending on your choice of color placement and desired effect.

Mini Small Eyeshadow Brush:
DIRECTIONS: Gently wipe the flat part of the brush over your powder eyeshadow, being sure to knock off any excess shadow from the brush, and apply with long, stroking motions across the eyelid, crease, and/or underbrow area, depending on your choice of color placement and desired effect.

Mini Wedge Brow Brush:
DIRECTIONS: First, brush the brow hair into place with a brow and lash brush. Gently dab the tip of the Wedge Brush into the powder eyeshadow or powder eyebrow color and apply to the brow using short, hair-like strokes. Fill in the shape of the brow without adding any color above or beneath the brow itself. The goal is to delicately fill in the area between brow hairs rather than draw on new hairs. If needed, carefully place color under the eyebrow. Be sure to check for and soften any hard edges (this can be done with a cotton swab).

Mini Eyeliner Brush:
DIRECTIONS: Gently stroke the brush through eyeshadow or cream/gel liner color of your choice, keeping the bristles together and moving the brush in the direction of the bristles (knock any excess powder eyeshadow from the brush). Carefully apply the color from inner to outer corner of the upper lash line. Repeat this step for the lower lashline, but do not line all the way across the eye. Rather, stop just before reaching the inner third of the lower lashline, and make sure your line fades gradually.

How big are the brush heads on the Mini Brush Set?

The brush heads on the Mini Brush Set are comparable in functionality, shape, and density to the brush heads on our regular-size brushes. Specifically, the Powder and Blush brushes in the mini set are approximately half the size of our regular-size brushes. The remaining 4 brush heads are the same size as the regular brushes.

How often should I wash my brushes?

If you use the same basic colors and reserve your makeup brushes for your own use, washing them once every 2–3 months should suffice. Washing natural hair brushes too often can break down the shaft. Also, frequent washing can loosen the glue in the handle that holds the bristles together and keeps them in place.

What should I use to wash my brushes?

Use an inexpensive gentle shampoo instead of pricey brush-cleaning solutions, which are just shampoo anyway. The shampoo shouldn't contain any conditioning agents, which can build up on the brush just like they do on the hair. Paula's Choice All Over Hair & Body Shampoo is an excellent option. Conditioner is not necessary when caring for your brushes.

Exactly how should I clean my brushes?

  • Gently but thoroughly wash the brush head (not the handle) with gentle shampoo in tepid water.
  • Meticulously rinse the brush head with tepid water, until water runs clear.
  • Carefully press out excess water from bristles and dab the brush dry with a clean towel.
  • Arrange the bristles back into their original shape.
  • Let the brush air dry on a towel without the help of a blow dryer (blow drying can damage bristles).
