I had to hand sew the velcro tabs back on to the mesh side pockets (over a year ago, tabs are securely attached now). It would be nice if the side pockets closed more securely and the mesh fabric was finer and better quality. The outside fabric can be challenging to keep clean too - powder sticks to it easily. On the other hand, I haven't found a bag I liked better yet.

I am in love with this bag!! PROS: Perfect size for overnight/travelling, and perfect compartments. Bag seems pretty durable too. CONS: Just a bit too big to be a daily makeup carrier (ie, for your purse - hard to fit) and a too small to be a permanent holder for your entire makeup collection. The velcro seems a bit cheap, too. I understand that zippers wouldn't work well (the way the mesh overlaps allows for flexibility in size), but at the same time stuff falls out of the mesh a lot.

I was skeptical about this purchase I liked the idea of the layout of the bag, and leaving for a vacation I wanted better organization of my cosmetics. The bag seems fine, good size and not what I would call shoddy material at all. In fact the bag materials seems like it would be easy to clean, as well as well constructed. Basically I'm happy with it, that said I would never pay $20.00 + shipping! I got 15% off with free shipping so my cost was $16.95. still too much.

I realize I am in the minority on this, but I really love this bag. I travel weekly for my job (about 2-3 days at a time), and this is ideal to pack in my carryon bag And you can't beat the price, considering it has multiple compartments. Just try finding one like this on ebags for this price and with this quality. It would be nice to have more colors to choose from, but black still works and is very practical. Also, I use this to carry both my makeup and my toiletries, so it does double duty for me. I have never been a brush person (I use the brushes that come packaged with the makeup I buy), so the brush slots are used to hold my makeup pencils, mascara, toothbrush, etc. The zippered pouch is ideal for small items (such as hair accessories, jewelry,etc.) that would get lost otherwise. I use one side of the bag for storing my travel makeup, and I use the other side for my PC samples, toothpaste, cleanser, moisturizer, soap, deodorant, etc. (travel size, of course). And since all liquids and gels have to go in a separate quart bag, I am set. If you travel like me, this is a great option.

I was skeptical based on the reviews, but it is impossible to find a cosmetic case that isn't just a bag. The basic idea behind this one is solid. It's big enough for someone who uses few cosmetics, but won't suffice for a cosmetics junkie. It holds regular-sized brushes. I wish the materials and craftsmanship were better. Yes, it would have to cost more, but it would be so worthwhile. As it is, this case is unpleasant to use. The materials are stiff enough that taking out and putting in cosmetics and brushes can be a little difficult. And while everyone loves black, so many cosmetics come in dark packaging. An elegant but lighter color would be helpful. This makeup bag is good but not ultimate.

I had the old version that was washable. It lasted a long time....absolutley loved it. If this bag lasts as long as the other did, it definitely would be worth the $. Will recommend to anyone.

I stated in my previous reveiw that I was happy with this bag. Well, I just returned from a 10 day trip and my makeup bag went with me. After 6 cities, 4 hotels, 3 airports, 2 suitcases, 1 airline, occasional assistance from my husband... my makeup bag is well-traveled and ready to go. It was crammed with extra products, samples, and brushes, and stood up to the test of bouncing around in a suitcase and sitting on alien sinks with just the towels for company. Yay! I like the makeup bag even more now!

I was hesitant to buy this bag based on the poor reviews, but I'm happy to say I really like it! It has tons of room for all of my makeup and brushes, and I like the three separate sections. My only suggestion is that the next version of the bag be more elegant, i.e., more feminine color(s), gold piping, or softer fabric.

I was skeptical about ordering this based on the other reviews, but ordered anyway as I LOVE Paula's products. I have the older version of this bag and have enjoyed it, but when I saw this bag with the clear zipper pocket and individual brush holders I knew I had to give it a try. SO GLAD I ordered it...I love it.

Like others, very disappointed in this bag-- and I even watched the video demonstration before I purchased! The bag is much smaller than it appears, and is very poorly made. Found this case to be very spacious! I travel a lot and I am able to carry all my make up with me plus brushes. I use the clear zipper compartment for my hair accessories and I am even able to fit in travel size skin care products! However, what does not work well at all are the mesh closures. Even though they hold everything in place, it is very difficult to pack the items in there and get them back out! With some re-designing this could be a great travel case! Please bring back the former black bag only give it a zipper on the outside and make the inside pocket (behind the zippered mesh pocket) have a velcro closure or another zip. That bag was awesome. I like the make-up bag. I think it's a great size for travel, but would love to see a slightly smaller version to use in purse or totebag for everyday use. This is a little large and would also like to see this in leather or some other softer durable fabric that's easy to wipe clean on the outside Would also like to see the mesh sections with a zipper instead of velcro. I like your products but very disappointed with this bag. When bag is opened things fall out - one powder broken - side pocket should fasten properly and zipper sticks - the whole things is of poor quality. I expected more. Was so looking forward to this bag but it will be going into the Goodwill bag this month. Way too small (not deep enough)and difficult to navigate. Have a very old bag of Paula's that will continue to travel with me until I find another. I absolutely love this bag as I can easily find everything without having to dig blindly into a bag to find something! Everything is at my fingertips and is held in place by the netting covering the side compartments. The clear plastic zippered middle compartment and the elastic compartments for brushes and pencils is definitely a highlight. One velcro is already in need of some sewing but overall I am very pleased with the design of this bag. Someone has finally put some thought to the design of a makeup bag!I was very surprised to see that others did not like this bag as much as I do!

When I received this cosmetics bag I noticed that is was poorly made. Also, It doesn't take alot of products in it. When I travel I need to take two cosmetics bags with me. One for my cleansers, creams and one for my makeup. I really would like someone to create a bag for both. With enough room for the cleansers, creams, cotton pads, q-tips, toothbrush, paste, etc., as well as, makeup and brushes. This is a great bag for at home or on the go. Holds all my makeup, and I can squeeze in my toothbrush and face wash when I'm traveling.

I am Paula's fan, but this bag is a disappointment. Definitely not worth 20$. It is not well made, the size is too small, and the velcro does not hold the side pockets closed when full. I LOVE PC products and was excited to try this. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the bag. It doesn't really hold all that much and is awkward.
