This mascara wears well, stays on all day, doesn't flake and looks good. However, it takes a long time to get good coverage on my lashes and takes a very long time to dry. I get quite a few blobs which have to be removed with a cotton-tip and up to 5 minutes after application it's still wet, which means I get a lot of transference aroung my eyes and on my brow bone which then needs to be removed. This doesn't fit in very well with the morning rush to get ready, so I won't be buying again.

I love this mascara! This doesn't smudge like others I've tried. Usually I get a bit of the racoon eyes so I don't use it on my lower lashes but still end up with black lower eyes. With this mascara I can use it on the lower lashes too and I get no smudging. Thank you!

Although this one wasn't quite as bad as the Illicit Lash mascara, it's still not up to par. Both mascaras gave no volume whatsoever, and this one in particular was really bad for leaving black marks all over my eyelids. It was virtually impossible to apply without making a huge mess of your eyelids. The way the brush is designed makes you have to put a lot more pressure on when applying (or get no coverage), making the lashes smudge all across your eyelid. It does have a great lightweight feel.

This mascara is amazing! I had previously left a review on behalf of my mother, who tried it and loved it, and I decided to buy some for myself. It actually makes me look like I have eyelashes, which is a miracle because they've grown very sparse and faint over the years. It hasn't smeared like every other mascara; it seems to be impervious to greasy eyelids, which is plus. Also, I went out today in a heavy snowstorm and it didn't run at all. Comes off easily with water and face wash. Love!

I bought a tube of this for my mother, who has been on a quest for years to find a good mascara. She's crazy about this mascara; it applies well, makes her sparse eyelashes look natural, doesn't run or smear despite oily skin AND -- the biggest surprise of all -- she hasn't had watering eyes since she started using it! She's always had a kleenex in her hand to deal with sudden tearing-up, but since using PC Great Big Lashes she's not had this problem at all. Now I've bought a tube for myself!

This is a great mascara for daily use. It smudges much less the the other mascara I have tried which is wonderful. The drawback is that it leaves my lashes so soft that they don't hold the curl. If I am going out and want my eyes to pop I use my Cover Girl mascara.

I love this mascara! I would say it builds a 'moderate' amount of length and thickness - which is perfect for me. The one thing I've found is that although I don't find that this mascara tends to be 'clumpy', if any lashes do stick together during application, you need to quickly get them separated because once this stuff sets up, it's there for the day. I never have any flaking or smudging with this mascara. By the end of the day my eyes (with the sadly discontinued Paula's Choice eyeshadow, too) look exactly the same as when I left home in the morning.

This is the best mascara ever. It goes on great no flaking and it doesn't run throughout the day. I have both colors. However, the tubes could be better. The first one I had broke (the fabulous customer service replaced it at no charge). My second didn't close properly so it dried out quicker. That being said, I love it so much that I can live with the bad tubes.

This builds thick, long lashes. You must be a bit patient because sometimes I get little "balls" on the end of my lashes. I take a pin and a tissue to remove them when this happens. This is an awesome mascara. It doesn't flake off and my lashes actually feel kind soft.

First time out, I thought it was a defective, dried up tube of mascara. Subsequent purchases brought the same result, plus this mascara does not apply smoothly; it takes a lot of work to make it look good on my lashes. While I love the brush, and the colour is a nice rich black (thank you!!) I find there is a SLIGHT clump that occurs. Application is easy though, so perhaps I will try to clean the brush as others have done, and see if there is a difference. I'm on the fence whether to purchase this again. The only mascara I've ever been able to use! I can wear this all day every day and my eyes never itch! I've tried lots of mascaras that are supposedly for sensitive eyes, and this is the only one that my eyes can handle. Love this!

After having lots of issues with illicit lash i decided to try this one because one thing paula always does right with her mascaras, messy though they may be (and even though the applicators break off easily) she does somehow manage to produce rich blacks that do not make the lashes crunchy. Cant stress how much this matters to me.... So I give this a thumbs up. Its not the best in the world but its a start. Keep 'em light, Paula!Customer Care Response: Thank you so much for your review. Let me start by saying I LOVE PC products! I decided to order this mascara after a few years of being a PC user. I was very dissapointed and it did not give the volume and length as described. I also felt it was a bit dry and cakey coming out of the tube. I really wanted to love a PC mascara since I use just about everything else! I love all PC products, but I was disappointed in the mascara. I didn't have the clumping problems people complained about, I found it went on great and looked good for about an hour and then it started to run. And heaven forbid you do anything strenuous with this mascara on. I came home from the gym the other night and was shocked to see I had mascara streaks down my face. Not cool. Sorry, Paula, won't be buying this one again. I have a hard time finding a mascara that works for me so I figured I would give this and Paula's other mascara, Illicit Lash, a try. I liked this mascara slightly better because it went on a bit more easily, and made my lashes look better than the Illicit Lash. But at the end of the day, the mascara rubbed off and left dark smudges under my eyes. Not happy with that. I had high hopes for these mascaras, but have had better luck with other manufacturers that are on Paula's highly recommended list. Only reason I did not give this mascara a 5 is because it does not produce the big volume that I am used to getting from other mascaras. But the reason I will keep ordering it is because this is the only mascara that I have used that does not leave me racoon eyed after an hour or so. I have very oily skin, and I constantly have to rub off mascara from under my eyes after about half an hour, and for about every hour thereafter. Very frustrating! This mascara actually made it to about hour 4 or 5 before I had to wipe off some smudge, it wasn't even that much honestly. So for that reason alone it's a keeper! I always have trouble with mascara smudging on my lower lid. I had been using a tubing formula but wasn't 100% happy because it did nothing to thicken my lashes...I have plenty of length already. This mascara is amazing! It never smudges and makes my lashes look nice and full and soft. No clumping either. I can't believe the price, I have spent twice as on mascaras that didn't perform half as well. Thanks Paula!

I have bought many other Paula products and generally have been happy however I tried this after chatting live with an expert. My issue is that my eyelashes are long enough, I was looking for a thicker effect. This was suggested - but it was too gloppy and wet. I have never had a problem with mascara making such a mess before and I am a former dancer/performer so I've put on a lot of mascara.Overall disappointed. Finally, a mascara that does not clump! Natural-looking, enhanced eyelashes...beats all the drugstore brands, and some of the luxury brands too! Worth every penny.

I hesitated buying Paula's mascara because it isn't waterproof. But have to say it the best mascara ever! Goes on smooth and clump free. My lashes look thick and long. Thank you for such a wonderful product!

I always struggled with mascara smudging or flaking under my eyes. Working in a lab and wearing safety glasses seems to make it worse. This all ended when I used Paulas mascara, no smudging whatsoever. Careful if getting caught in the rain or doing hot yoga, it will smudge then, but other than that it stays on till you take it off. And take it off with Paulas remover, its great.

Have been searching a long time for a mascara that will not flake, clump or have smudges under my eyes.I have found the best mascara to use...this mascara!Thank you Paula!!!
