I just got my samples and I ordered quite a few, and this was just amazing, amazing stuff. I have tried almost every (sheer) foundation, in my 20 years, and paid HEFTY amounts for "big name brands" but this is by far IS my favourite! If you are finding it a little too sheer and don't want to add the powder, just wait for it to dry and add a second sheer coat. I am fair, but now that summer's here, #3 for me please, 2 is great too. REAL Customer Service THRIVES at PC. LOVE PAULA'S CHOICE!!

I am trying a sample right now (which comes in a tiny round container). It's going a long way, too - because I only use foundation in a few spots on my face (under my eyes and my t-zone). I really like light coverage that blends into my skin, but I find that it's too light for under my eyes. I hate using concealer because it's too cakey, so I like to find a foundation that's light enough coverage, but still provides enough coverage under my eyes. May try another PC foundation and compare.

I am quite pale and find that the newest version of this in 1 is much better than it was before but still just a tad too dark for me. I recently started adding a drop or two of the Hydralight sunscreen since it also is a physical sunscreen and it is now the perfect color for me! I have combo skin and this lasts all day on me. It's not greasy nor a dull looking matte, it's just the perfect texture, a pretty, soft matte. I feel like I have nothing on my face at all, it's so comfortable.

I love this tinted moisturizer! I'm trying to get away from doing foundation everyday and this helps to even out my skin tone and correct tiny imperfections while hydrating my combo/oily skin, protecting with SPF 30 and giving me some antioxidant protection at the same time! And at an affordable price, it can't be beat. This does not leave me shiny but it's not matte either - it's kind of a satin finish, so I always set with a little bit of pressed powder. LOVE IT! Don't discontinue! I use #3.

I like wearing make up but I don't like to look like I'm wearing makeup. I keep it natural by using this sheer tint. My skin tends to be blotchy and reddish (particularly my nose); this product has enough "oumph" to even that out without looking like I'm wearing a mask. I've even been told I have "beautiful skin" when I'm wearing this tint even though on days I don't wear it people often ask if I'm tired or have had too much sun. I've tried other facial products but ALWAYS come back to this

I am super pale, and have always struggled to find a shade light enough. I am pretty sure I have bought the lightest shade of every foundation and tinted moisturizer under the sun. This is a great product, and I am going to fill a closet with every tube available if I ever catch wind of it getting discontinued.

I received this as part of a beauty giveaway on one of my favourite beauty blogs and it has replaced all other tinted moisturizers for me. I absolutely love the feel and look of it. I rarely need to use a setting powder; quite often, this alone is perfect coverage. I've recommended it to other friends with similar skin concerns and preferences. They love it, too. Fantastic.

As PC products have given me 99% clearer skin than I had before, I have wanted to reduce the amount of makeup I wear. I bought this when I had more acne (and did NOT like it, too sheer). However, NOW this is just perfect and lovely - evens things out, perfect with some undereye concealer and matte powder. It seems to offer more coverage than most tinted moisturizers I've tried, almost like foundation but not quite. Level 1 works better for me than MAC colors, as I'm between the cool and warm.

I really wanted to like this because I have oily skin and like the idea of wearing a tinted moisturizer underneath powder for less opaque coverage than normal foundation. I ordered samples of three shades because I wasn't sure where I would fall. I think I am right in between level 1 and level 2. The problem with any shade I chose is the feeling once it goes on. It doesn't feel good to me...it ends up feeling very tacky on my skin. I just couldn't get over the way it felt.

I absolutely love this tinted moisturizer! It blends in perfectly and makes my skin look natural, but so much better! Because I have been using Paula's Choice skincare, my skin has improved to the point that most days I just wear this. When I want a little more coverage, I add powder on top. I can't believe how long this tinted moisturizer lasts; most seem to fade within a few hours on my combination skin, but this stays on ALL DAY. I would recommend this to anyone.

I don't wear a lot of makeup, but in the summer, I want to have sunscreen on my face without looking shiny. I tried a couple of similar products from department store makeup brands, but they clogged my pores and made my breakouts worse. I use this, and it works beautifully for me. Evens out my skin tone and looks like I have nothing on. I am pretty fair, but not peaches-and-cream white - so I use Level 2.

For many years I've been using Paula's Choice sunscreen for oily skin blended with Revlon Colorstay makeup as my foundation. I like a sheer, easy to blend makeup with sunscreen, so I decided to try Barely There. After using it for about two months and noticed blocked pores. Once I stopped using it, my pores cleared up. (I think it was the mineral sunscreens ingredients) Paula's Choice has been great, though- they have been keeping my skin clear with their other products for many years!

I thought I was trying out a tinted moisturizer; what I got is a foundation with maybe a hint of moisterizer in it. If something is called moisturizer, I shouldn't have to put moisturizer on underneath. It went on heavy, more than sheer coverage, felt like a facial mask, and emphasized all the lines & blemishes I don't want exaggerated.. The level 1 is actually darker than my skin tone. Very glad I only got samples.

I got a sample of this for 80 cents and it was a lot more than I expected! However...this left my face looking greasy and not matte at all, especially near my nose. It actually made my pores show even more. I tried to put some powder on top, but it looked really cakey and uneven, even after I tried to blend it. Also, the color (level 1) made my skin look a bit too yellow... I really wish this worked for me. :(

I have been using Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Base, which I liked, but also because I worked at a spa where I received 50% off. Having tried some of Paula's skincare which I have been delighted with, thought I would give this a try. My skin is beyond greasy with mild to moderate breakouts. This gives me a glow, evens my skin tone and lasts all day. Also happy about the SPF 30, as Jane's only contains 20. Highly recommended!

I have used this for several years but when the higher SPF came out the lighter shade I had always used seemed lighter. So my hunt for something new started. After quite a few returns of other brands of so called BB's I ordered the Level 3. It is a perfect match! I don't use heavy make-up and I find I can apply this mid-day to get added protection and it doesn't clog pores. Thank you Paula for this amazing product! Please, please do not discontinue this product.

This product provided sheer coverage as expected, but it left my skin oily and unevenly toned. Unfortunately I have been breaking out and have been forced to stop using the product. :(

I received the barely there sheer matte tint with Spf 30 a couple months back in Level 2 Light/Medium and I must say, this is much better on my skin than the Spf 20 Sheer Matte Tint. The coverage is great and it feels much, much lighter on my oily, acne-prone skin. Well done Paula for bringing this out with higher sun protection! The Spf 20 I still have is in Sheer Neutral and that comes off my skin a tad too dark. I prefer the newer version for my skin. Thank you very much!

4.5 stars actually because I LOVE this tinted moisturizer. I put this on top of my cle de peau stick concealer and get a ton of compliments! It takes less than 10 seconds to blend! The price is EXCELLENT (thank you, Paula)! The only reason why I can't give it a full 5/5 stars is because it lacks lasting power on its own. Without my concealer it fades about in about 4 or 5 hours into my work day. I do have combination/oily skin though so it may work as HG tinted moisturizer for someone else.

Level 1 is the closest substitution I've found for the discontinued All Bases Covered shade that suited my very fair, dryish, acne-prone skin. It provides some of the luminosity and that very subtle shine that made my complexion glow, and it stays through the day. But it is a tad dry and coverage, while good, is not quite enough. Ironically it was more apparent I was wearing makeup than with ABC. Many will love this but I'll have to start searching other brands for my perfect foundation.

For a super-light foundation, you're not going to find anything better anywhere. The shades are gorgeous (there's a high likelihood you will find a match even though there are only four offerings -- it blends with your skin). The non-chemical sunscreen is also great for people whose eyes react badly to chemical sunscreen. If you don't need or like heavier foundations, this is THE BEST option on the market.

I love this sunscreen. As an added plus is acts as a BB cream. As someone who has skin cancer (twice) the high SPF is a blessing. Paula, please keep making this -- it has such a lovely finish. Thanks so much!!

I bought a sample of this and love it! Light coverage but very good tone-evening, and it passes the "broad daylight" test; even in broad daylight, my skin looks natural with this product on. It's excellent for wrinkles as it doesn't settle into them, and when paired with the PC anti-shine lotion, gives a great look to my face. It doesn't smear or vanish or settle into cracks, it doesn't look powdery, and it doesn't feel like make-up. Can't wait to buy the big bottle!

Initially, I thought this product was going to work for me. I have rosacea as well as very oily, very sensitive, fair skin. The first few days, it seemed okay, but I got shiner throughout the day. After about ten days, my face became flushed and itchy. I stopped using it and my face was immediately better. I'm very disappointed since I was looking for something to replace my favorite foundation, which has been discontinued. I am allergic to chemical sunscreens, hoped I could use this.

Before ordering I emailed to find out which of Paula's choice products were vegan, and I was impressed at the prompt response (though it would be nice if this was listed in the products description on the website!). This tinted moisturizer is my new favourite. I don't look or feel like I'm wearing anything, but my skin looks naturally perfect (and is protected with SPF!), not to mention it feels soft, smooth and matte. I definitely appreciate that it is non-scented.
